Well, life was turning around for poor Roy. New job working for his brother at an Antique store, place to crash, hell, his own room in his brother's swanky apartment was pretty damn nice. Jiin had even saved his old guitar for him, even if it was a beat up old thing. At least it still sounded good.
Things still sucked. No real friends. Tobacco withdrawals, from quitting smoking. Lonely as hell for reasons he couldn't fathom, despite however many people seemed to be around him at all times. Possibly his clinical depression, even if he was medicated.
His cropped red hair floated slightly in the wind as he sat on the roof, aching for a smoke. His black t-shirt didn't hep the fact that he was freaking cold, with his jacket at the cleaners. The red jeans rife with zippered pockets, and the tattoos on his arm standing out as he shivered slightly. He wondered absently why he even had them, and laughed his new, empty sounding laugh.
He took a sandwich out of his backpack, grateful that he could actually eat regularly now, and bit into it, waiting for something, ANYTHING interesting to happen.

Rooftop?
Awesome place, awesome memories with awesome featherguy. What's his name? Unfeathered? YEAH!
Anyway.
"HI!"
He wanted something INTERESTING to happen, right? Well, here's an interesting person. She has WINGS, okay? Pretty wicked awesome? Some might think that they're high on drugs and that they're seeing things, right? But no, this is reality. THIS IS REAL.
"Do you come here often??"
Blonde hair was tied into two pigtails with ribbons. Seemed a little too anime-ish in my opinion...but, that's just how she is! She's a social butterfly faerie.

"Woah!"
Roy nearly lost his balance at the loud "hi" directed his way, just after finishing his sandwich, as he was stowing away the wrapping in his backpack. Nearly falling head over heels over his backpack, he stood straight, suppressing a laugh at what he saw.
Did the ink from my arms seep into my veins, or is that girl wearing metal wings?!
Pigtails and ribbons. Straight out of Sailor Moon, to say the least. Metal wings, which he realized he would have though were real, had he not been put on meds for his mental problems.
At least he was well fed and no longer smoked.
"Hello yourself, Little Miss....nice..uh...wings."
He smiled good naturedly. Roy was a good guy, at heart, but he'd been through a shitstorm, lately. Even so, his eyes were still as friendly as ever, and no amount of peircings or tattoos could make him look scary. Unless he had a guitar in his hands.

She grinned. She was in a good mood today...or rather... Erm.. She's always in a good mood.
"Um..thank you! Not a lot of people tell me that... They all think it's fake."
She looked at her own wings; they were rather soft, though hurt if they pressed into her skin too hard. She plopped toward him, hand outstretched since..that's what humans do when formally introducing eachother. >D Yes, she's learned quite a bit during her stay at this school!
"I'm Jenesis! And you??"

She...thinks they're real?! I thought I had issues.
He shook her hand, letting out a small laugh.
"Roy".
This was one of the oddest things he had experienced in his life. And he had attended 552. A lot of weird junk seemed to happen in these schools, it seemed. Everything in his life was a little..off, though, so he had no room to judge. Hell, the cross shaped scar that covered most of his chest had been carved there by his father.
And his sister, at one time, thought she was an angel. This girl didn't seem much different. Just younger.
And quite adorable.
"You always in such a happy mood?"

"ROY! Nice to meet'cha!"
She liked him. He didn't judge her, was also quite friendly. Didn't make fun of her either, or use that tone...
SARCASM! That's what it's called.
..oh boy.
"Of course! I think they call it... um..."
She stopped talking and thought hard for a second, brows furrowing as she ramsacked her brain for the right wor--
"OPTIMISTICERISM...or something like that..."
She grinned.
"Are you the opposite of optimisicerism?? You seem pretty happy to me. o__0"

Roy laughed. Optermistercism? However she had pronounced it, she reminded him of his little sister.
Well, the one that was still alive. He hadn't seen Iris since she was in New York, though.
"I'm usually a happy enough guy, myself. Optimism runs in my family, you could say."
Nah...really what ran in his family was several mental issues, all of which Roy was medicated for. Made him angry every now and then, but seeing clearly for the first time was pretty damn awesome. Being well fed again was cool, too.
"Hmm.....you hungry? I've got a few sandwiches in here if you want one."
He pointed at his backpack, the same smile on his face that he had had since she had started talking. Amazingly like his sister, except for the weird wings.

"Really? My family has anti-optimis...ism."
...honestly tried repeating what he said, 'optimism', but it seems that Jenesis has the word, 'optimistic' stuck in her head, so if you add 'ism' to...yeah, you get what I mean? Good, 'cause I was starting to confuse myself.
Anyway! Jenesis couldn't help but grin. Why do people eat food up on the rooftop? Do they like the breeze? I mean, it's the middle of January, and it's FREEZING out here!
"No thank you! I already ate lunch, but I AM curious!"
She is a rather curious, yet jolly little girl after all.
"Why do people eat up here!? It's FREEZING! Brrr..."
Jenesis rubbed her arms, although she had on a nice thick sweater that Ezra had knitted for her. She shook her head. Seriously. Why do people eat up here?
And she thought she was silly..
