The girl was, thus far, not very fond of the city or it's inhabitants. They were as loud as she had feared, and skittish, like rabbits.
She had been traversing the human lands by night, completely unaware of the distinction between "territories". The lands did not smell any different from one another, nor did they retain any differentiating markings. She had been to the edge of the continent already, which had been an...interesting experience. She wasn't quite sure if she should file that as a success or a failure in her desire to learn more about her kind.
The only thing that had drawn her away from the wonders of the infinite water and the loose earth was the noises coming from this particular part of the stone and metal lands. Cacophonous voices overlapping one another and a tremendous stamping that pricked at her keen ears. Her curiosity piqued, she kept watch from her perch in a partially ruined hollow mountain, with many areas and holes in the sides so one could view the outside.
Her eyes were immediately attracted to the various shoots of green that appeared here and there among the cold grey of the human structures, defiant of the unyielding, smooth stone. It made her fiercely proud for whatever reason, but she didn't dwell on it. nature was taking back what was hers. That was all.
She watched as a throng of humans gathered beneath her, walking in tandem. This struck her as odd, and the only thing she could possibly relate it to was the behaviour of ants. It was almost funny and she would have laughed if she had a sense of humour. Instead, the dirty girl retreated into her temporary hidey hole to wait out the sun.
Curling up in a corner with her furs wrapped around her like a cocoon, the nameless girl let sleep steal over her...but not too much.
If the wilderness had taught her anything, it was that which was unknown must always be watched.
