Another quiet night on earth.
Late evening in the not-so-distant past; a dark and moonless night. Ambiguous city streets somewhere in Los Angeles County, California. Front centre an older two-story brick building with ornate Gothic-style architecture, perhaps a church. Perched discreetly on the eaves of the roof between two stone gargoyles, a slender figure shrouded in darkness: Vespyr. Dressed in black from head to toe: the hood of her coat pulled up over her white hair, casting a shadow over her pale face; a long scarf wrapped about her neck several times for warmth, the tail ends cast over her shoulders and hanging several feet down her back; a trench coat, form-fitting enough to emphasize her thin figure, long enough to reach the backs of her knees when standing; skinny jeans; steel-toed combat boots. Gaunt, pale face. Emotionless black lips. Violet eyes glaring coldly from dark-shadowed eyelids. Bony hands with long, dexterous fingers. Black claw-like fingernails, unnaturally and frighteningly long and sharp. One hand grips the stone wing of the gargoyle to her left; the other hangs idle, elbow resting on her crouching thigh. Motionless like the surrounding stone. Dark as the moonless night sky above. Silent. Watching.
A balmy gust bothered some fallen leaves on the pavement below and whisked them several feet into the air, urging them to play. The brittle leaves rebuffed and tumbled weightlessly back to the asphalt. The breeze grew bored and meandered on down the road, soliciting company elsewhere, in a dark alley filled with debris. The faint sound of rustling trash could be heard for a moment or two before the uneventful silence filled the lightless streets again.
An orange stray cat sauntered around the street corner, pausing to sniff at something carried on the breeze. The feline glanced skyward a moment, patiently blinking his only eye toward a demonesque stone silhouette hardly visible against the backdrop of infinite darkness. His leonine head stooped again with an air of nonchalance, bobbing for a moment as he followed an arbitrary scent trail along the cracked sidewalk. Then he trotted into the old building's shadow, just out of sight.

Rai would walk in on this dark scene while on patrol. He was wearing his typical garb of his black and white Gi top with his long sleeve white coat and black buttons with a black wolf design on the back, his hands covered in his black fingerless combat gloves with blood red flames decorating them.
He had never been to this part of Dragon Territory before and the scene before him was intriguing he liked to see these style of buildings but the sight before him was more menacing than usual. There was something dark about this area that he didn't like. The hairs on the back of his neck bristled and he was cautious. After a minute passed he shook his head and calmed himself down. Its just his nerves and the cool weather, nothing was going to happen. Rai would shiver slightly at the breeze then continue his searching around the area.
Something caught his eye on the building it was a gargoyle statue, but something seemed odd about it. It seemed disproportionate to the rest of the statues. He stared for a few moments before realizing it was a person. He was about to call out when he thought better of it. For now he would stay silent and keep an eye on the person to see what might happen next.

Vespyr watched the boy watching her. She glared down at him for about a minute in absolute silence, dark eyes blinking slow and catlike. Her claws clacked individually on the stone wing of the gargoyle. She closed her hand and slid it down to grip the edge of the rooftop.
"Boy."
"Dragon boy." she surmised, waiting for him to either affirm or deny this supposition.

He paused as she spoke surprised that the person would make their position known so easily. Dragon boy she asked.
"Aye, I am the apprentice of the Earth Dragon, Mathew."
Rai got an uncomfortable feeling about this one and tensed up a bit, nearly forgetting the cold air.
"And who might you be traveling in our lands with out a pass or escort?"

"Me." came the cryptic answer, implying she needed neither pass nor escort to travel where she pleased; an appropriately feline outlook. Her hand slid to grip the clawed paw of the gargoyle to her left, and she leapt a little, swinging down from her second-story perch to land on the next lowest eave. Her boots thudded quietly, almost weightless, on the awning above the building's front door. Crouching, looming again over the boy down in the street. She glared down at him in silence, expectantly, as if she were waiting for him to do something other than stand there. Something to pique her interest. Otherwise he seemed quite dull…
That only meant she'd find her own amusement, probably at his expense.

Rai would be in awe as she made her graceful decent but quickly snapped out of it when he saw the challenging look on her face. He relaxed his tense muscles preparing for a fight.
"May I inquire as to your real name, or should I just refer to you as Me?"
He would say with a mock chuckle. Rai would start to harden the blood in his body and he would even let the black blood seep out over his hands though because of the gloves the only noticeable thing that could be seen is Rai's fingers would turn black. He wasn't sure where this was going to go but he know he should play it safe for now.

"You look like someone I used to know." Vespyr mused, pointing a clawed finger down at the boy while she completely ignored his question. She supposed he might as well call her whatever he felt like. Never mattered anyhow.
Vespyr slid down from the eave and alighted, crouching, on the building's front steps. When she straightened up, she would have been a mere half-inch shy of the young man's height if not for the soles of her combat boots boosting her to about 6' anyway. Her hands slipped casually into the abysmal pockets of her trench coat as she stepped forward at a measured pace, nearing the young Dragon to take a closer look.
"A few details off. Easily fixed." she added, introspective. The boy's resemblance to a particular white-haired man, a German, specifically, struck her as slightly amusing. Nostalgic, even, albeit with a twinge of cryptic bitterness. Perhaps the boy would feel the chilling intent in her cold voice as she advanced toward him patiently, a predator taking her sweet time. The dark-eyed woman would come as close as he would let her, perhaps even uncomfortably close… meaning, that if he didn't put a stop to her slow advance, he'd find her pale face and her violet eyes only inches away from his, glaring dauntlessly into that strange black-and-gold left eye of his like a thief ogling a case of jewels.

Rai would stand there and listen to her talk and he wouldn't make a move even as she came inches away from his face. She was staring him in the eyes and he would stare right back. But he was far from comfortable and while she stared he would slam his forehead straight into her nose, if he was lucky and it hit, he would jump back and put his fist in from of his face forming small blood knives out of his hands.

…And the boy slammed his forehead into her nose. Vespyr shut her eyes and grit her teeth at the sudden jarring pain in her face, but she didn't waste a moment in shooting her hand toward his throat to keep him from going anywhere. Her eyelids flicked open again as a trail of black blood dripped down onto her lips, the corners twitched into a strangely sadistic grin. She yanked him downward toward her and raised a knee to slam into his gut, and then with the weight of her entire body she'd shove him onto the ground with herself on top. If that went as planned, Vespyr would attempt to wrestle the boy's arms so that they were pinned under her shins as she straddled him.

Rai wouldn't even know how to react as he was assaulted and straddled. Which brought back pleasantly unpleasant memories. Causing Rai look look her in the face and from out of no where.
"I love you."
There was a quick pause as Rai realized his situation and snapped out of the memory. Then he was scared he was effectively pinned and couldn't move. So he improvised making his blood make small spikes protrude out of his body stabbing her everywhere her body touched his, unless she moved to avoid them.

Vespyr raised a single brow at the boy with morbid curiosity and the awry grin tugging at the corners of her black cherry lips fronted her amusement with chilling clarity.
"Always a mistake." she hissed, leaning forward over him as the pin-pricks against her shins and thighs stung deeply in her skin. A strange sensation, no doubt, but almost pleasantly painful; Vespyr drew in a hissing breath through her sharp, gritted teeth and leaned in further as. She slipped a sly hand into her pocket and pulled out a blade.
"Look forward to wearing an eye patch."
Vespyr reached for the boy's head and slid her long fingers into the hairline above his forehead, her claws raking lightly against his scalp. Then she'd close her fist around a handful of hair on the top of his head and use it to anchor his skull against the pavement. The knife would glide smoothly up Rai's cheek, trailing a faint red line up to his left eye. Vespyr glared down at her prize, the smile half-faded in a sort of morbid trance.
The cold tip of the blade would slip dextrously between the eyelid and the eye, not harming anything... until it plunged in to sever the optical nerve.

Rai screamed in pain not being able to control his Qi black blood leaked out of the hole they had just been his eye. He bucked in pain is blood shooting out spikes out all over his body varying in many different sizes, some that would sting and others that would kill in a moments notice. All puncturing out of his skin and clothes all along his body. Not aimed at anything just an auto response from his body trying to escape danger.

With a few quick, precise slices in the orbital cavity, Vespyr loosed Rai's left eye from its casing and plucked it out with her claws. Immediately, crystallized blood spewed from the wound and the rest of the boy's body like an explosion of glass shards, a few of them striking Vespyr and embedding themselves all over her arms like porcupine quills. Vicious laughter erupted from her narrow chest at the sudden onslaught of stinging, searing, slicing pain, lacerating not only her own body, but apparently Rai's as well. How the boy was even still alive while the blood in his veins solidified, tore through his skin in a million places, and then swiftly exited his body in large quantities [/u][/i], was somewhat of a phenomenon to her, but then again she'd experienced stranger things. A razor-sharp sliver of black tore across Vespyr's cheek, leaving a trail of her own black blood in its wake. She rose to her feet and stepped a safe distance away from the boy, dodging the flying projectiles that continued to erupt from his torn, writhing body. She flicked her dark violet gaze to admire the oozing little sphere in her hand. How many stolen eyes did that make it, now? Three, four? She was beginning to lose count but this one, by far, would be her new favorite. "Keep your hair that way. I like it." she said, turning to leave. Her job was done.[/blockquote][/size]

As Vespyr pulled the eye out of its socket the eye would solidify in a perfect condition, it wouldn't break if dropped, nor would it be squishy. Rather it looked as though the eye itself had turned to glass. The lack of fluid in the eye though made the contact lens drop from the eye and onto the ground near Rai.
As Rai recovered from the pain he was woozy from the blood loss but he held enough of his own to recall the blood closest to him back into his body. If Vespyr turned to look at him she would see most of the wound that were self inflicted would merely shut, including the cut on his cheek she made with her knife. It would look as though he were covered in black blood but his body was "healed". He would then muster his strength and try to stand but the best he could do was rest on his knees. He put his hand over they eye hole where there was black blood that had leaked out seeping back into the hole, and he glared at her with his good eye.
"I hope you enjoy my eye. But remember my name, Raikotsu Sudeki. Remember it well for one day, I will find you and I will get my eye back!"
Rai would say through clenched teeth. He tried to fight through the pain and stand up but the lack of blood along with the pain from just having his eye ripped out, he collapsed unconscious on to the ground.

Blood oath
Vespyr stopped. She turned around and fixed her violet stare to the wounded young man. Her pale face was quite bloodied, black fluid streaming from both nostrils down onto her lips and a deep gash dripping on her left cheek. Black blood seeped into her black clothes inconspicuously in more places that she was even aware of at that moment, but she stood there otherwise undaunted and rather unaffected (though she'd have a lot of cleaning up to do later, and the cut on her cheek was definitely going to leave a scar). No longer grinning, no longer betraying any emotion at all, she glared at the boy with nothing but cold darkness in her eyes as he growled his threat, no-- his promise.
"If I ever see you again, I promise I'll end your life." she swore to the man as he fell unconscious.
A shadow flitted across the street, silent paw-steps leading over to where Vespyr stood. The one-eyed cat wove between her boots and gazed up, seeming to raise his brow as if to say let's go home.
And they did.
Thanks for the thread, yo. It was a real pleasure ;)
