As Lucien stabbed towards the Talisman that Santa Kiyr had gotten him, Rai would shift his entire upper body reaching out to grab at staff and pull it away from Lucien. If Lucien held on then Rai would knee him in the gut.

As the staff was pulled out of his hands, Lucien suddenly felt a little hungry. No matter. What was more important was that he just armed his enemy.
But, moving with a stick was only one trick in the bag.
Lucien, now free of staff, would spin his leg back and around, aiming a roundhouse kick for the side of Rai's neck.

Now that Rai was holding the staff the little fatigue he did have from his fights would suddenly vanish, Well thats weird... Rai hardened his blood in the neck for the kick and took it like a champ then using Luciens staff he would jab the thigh of his other leg.

...Aaaaand Lucien was left open to receive the poke to the leg. Which made him topple right over backwards.
He was really counting on that kick doing some sort of damage. He contemplated this while his butt hit the ground. The he back-rolled up into a crouch, just outside Rai's staff range. His guard was ready and up, in a classic one-line posture, but kneeling.

Rai would smile as he looked at Lucien. Holding out his left hand palm up a little blood crow Identical to the one that Rai gave Lucien would form. It would come to life on his hand walking up and down his palm before it looked up and saw Lucien cocking its head to the side. Then suddenly out of no where the bird would shoot out of Rai's hand and go flying right towards Lucien!

Lucien just had enough time to side roll out of the path of the blood-bird-bullet, rising up to his feet and taking a few steps forward before jumping up into the air, hoping to send a flying punch down to the front of Raikotsu's forehead. Even with blood armor, that had to work...

Rai raised the staff in his hand to thrust upwards so that Lucien would land on it. Luciens punch would connect and even bring Rai down onto a knee it took all Rai had to keep the staff in place.

And oh, did that staff hurt...
Lucien felt his punch connect as the end of his staff connected with his solar plexus, his body weight pressing him down onto it. It knocked the wind right out of him, and for a moment, he was suspended there, trying to breathe.
And then he toppled to the side, with enough sense to try and aim his fall, with his elbows out... to fall right on top of Raikotsu.
At any rate, he would need another second before he could begin breathing.

Lucien would successfully land on top of Rai knocking him down. Rai would wrap his arms around Lucien locking his arms with Rai's own giving him a bear hug. As Rai tightened his hold on Lucien he would also harden the blood inside his body.

Lucien, now caught in the bear hug, would try to wiggle his body from side to side, slamming small punches into the side of Raikotsu's ribs.
And then he breathed again! And things were much better.

Rai's sides had become fully hardened by the blood the punches would only hurt skin deep. Rai would tighten his grip even more!

Lucien's knuckles hurt from the hardened blood. His own blood was beginning to scrape through on his fists. Maybe it was time for a different strategy...
Lucien would turn invisible.
Then he would try to bring a knee to Rai's nutsack.

Rai would be surprised at the Sudden disappearance of Lucien but he still felt him... Just like that one time... Then he was kicked in nuts. Spots appeared in his eye, and he immediately went for a headbutt where Luciens head used to be.

Lucien saw the headbutt coming and lowered his head so that his own forehead would make contact with Raikotsu's nose.
Then, he would try to break the grip that was around him, by pressing upwards against Rai's hands. If he broke free, he would launch off the ground, coming back down to deliver a knee to Raikotsu's gut.
Still invisible, but Rai would be able to see a slight rippling in the air, if he were to know where to look.

Rai's nose would get hit, and it would hurt enough that Rai let go of Lucien, and though Rai couldn't see the knee coming his sixth sense kicked in giving him a warning, Rai would quickly reach up and catch Luciens knee then he would roll over still holding Luciens knee trying to slam Lucien into the ground.
