(OOC: Lucien/Open)
On an early morning on the border of Dragon Territory, near Underground Facility 5, a figure could be seen standing on a small stone platform in the middle of a gentle river. Standing on the side of the river, another figure could be seen. Over the past week, Kazuya's pupils had grown lighter, and not only was he noticing it, but the rest of The Flame Battalion had noticed as well. After speaking with Miyuki, his suspicions had been confirmed: He was slowly going blind.
Since that day, Kazuya began specializing in a hand-to-hand style primarily focused on kicks as taught by Hiroshi as he had problems distinguishing the distance from people attacking him as his right eye degenerated more rapidly than his left eye. Without warning, stones would come flying at Kazuya, who would leap across multiple stone platforms, only to have a stone come at him from behind at his right side, and would immediately react, jumping up and kicking the stone.
However, another stone would come flying without warning from his left side, and Kazuya, unable to react, would end up getting clonked on his forehead, knocking him into the river.
"Just as I thought. Your reaction to the right and to the left are unbalanced. Your right and your left... are reversed."
Tossing a stone casually around in his hand, Hiroshi held the stone in between his index finger and thumb as Kazuya hung off the edge after swimming over.
"Eh?"
"You are a bit slow when the attack comes from the right side. But because your right eye can't see, you rely only on intuition for the right side. That's why you can react very quickly to attacks that are too fast to be seen. But it's a different case for the left side. Because you can see with your left eye, you are overly dependent on what your eye can see."
His arms casually folded across his chest, Hiroshi would watch as Kazuya pulled himself out of the river, completely soaked.

Lucien had reported in that day, and given a simple task.
Over the last month or so, Lucien had been training in the Wolfpack, under Marcus' leadership. For the most part, it had been stealth, surveillance, parkour, physical and tactical training, etc.
But today, unexpectedly, his commander had given him another task.
In his words, there will always be times when you don't have a map. And in those times, you'll need to navigate, no matter where you are.
So, he had been sent to survey the entirety of Southern California.
*
Lucien walked through the area known to him only by landmarks as Dragon Territory, which spanned through a large part of the landscape. But, this particular part, he had only seen from the lookouts. As he scanned through the neighborhood, he noticed someone. Someone who was... Training?
Lucien approached with interest in his eyes. As he came upon the two people, he tried to make his presence known, but not make a ruckus. He didn't want to disturb the man's training, after all.
So what did he do? He waved and smiled.

Both Hiroshi and Kazuya noticing the Crow nearby, Hiroshi would simply nod in acknowledgement, while Kazuya would bow his head in respect to Lucien. Kazuya remembered him, he was the member of The Crows that had brought Sibervib Warhazzard to the Lightning Tower to seek help from Leon.
"Greetings Lucien DeChain of the Crows. I am Kazuya Hikari, Captain of The Sky Force Training and Combat Readiness Division."
"And I am Hiroshi Kobayashi, second lieutenant assistant of The Flame Battalion. What brings you to the edge of Dragon and Crows Territory?"

Kazuya Hikari and Hiroshi Kobayashi...? Was he still in Southern California?
He bowed at them, deep and respectful. "Hello, honorable Dragons. Hajime Mashite. (Nice to meet you.)"
He straightened up and smiled at them. He had definitely seen Kazuya Hikari before.. At the Lightning Tower. That was it. It was incredible that he had remembered his name.
"I'm on a training mission, to explore the entire area of Southern California." He chuckled. "It's proving to be quite a task. I was contemplating taking a short break when I stumbled upon you two."

The both of them bowing back deeply and respectfully to Lucien, they would both straighten up, Kazuya returning Lucien's smile with a small smile of his own, while Hiroshi looked deep in thought.
"A short break from a training mission..."
Hiroshi would look over at Kazuya.
"Take out that thing I gave you, and untie your hachimaki."
"This?"
Pulling out a dry cloth, Kazuya would untie his hachimaki, holding the cloth freely in his hand after.
"Blindfold yourself until either you or your opponent has been beaten."
"Eh?"
"You are able to detect motion that can't be seen from the right side. However, you can't react when the invisible attack comes from the left. You should be able to master your ability to react quickly to invisible attacks from both sides. You can utilize all your remaining senses, or move around. But you cannot take off the cloth. Lucien-san, if you do not mind, would you consider acting as Kazuya's opponent for this training session as he is slowly losing his sight in both eyes?"

Lucien was confused, and slightly embarrassed at the notion of 'taking a break from a mission', and how that had sounded. He could hear the disdain in Hiroshi Kobayashi's voice.
But then, it was noted that Kazuya Hikari was doing low-sight training. And Lucien understood a lot more.
"I'm sorry to hear that, Kazuya Hikari-dono. Though, you might not need the blindfold if I'm to be your opponent."
With that, Lucien turned invisible for a few seconds, and then reappeared two feet to the right. If Kazuya's vision was still sharp enough to see the ripples in the air from his movement, then there might be a problem. But, maybe not.

"Arigato (Thank you) Lucien-san. I will see you back at The Dragon Fang Kazuya."
Hiroshi taking his leave, Kazuya would tie the cloth around his eyes just as Lucien turned invisible anyways. As he was going blind, it was best to get used to seeing nothing but never ending darkness early.
"Just Kazuya is fine, Lucien."
As Kazuya was nearly blind in his right eye, he would hear the faintest sound of movement coming from two feet to his right, and would react instantly by launching a left jump kick, twisting to his right.
(OOC: Kazuya Stats:
Strength: 99 (40 holding back) Dexterity: 86 (45 holding back) Constitution: 81 Intelligence: 80 (40 blindfolded) Wisdom: 80 (40 blindfolded) Charisma: 85
So no Greg, Lucien won't get broken into a million pieces, Kazuya only hits with max strength when all his items are equipped.)

Yeah, uh.. Sorry about the lack of posts...}
Lucien was kind of intrigued at Kazuya's display, seeing as he was still well out of range of his kicks. Waiting until the blindfolded man stopped moving again, Lucien would slowly try to creep into range, being sure not to make a sound. He knew that if Kazuya was trained as well as he looked, he wouldn't need sound to tip him off. But, it couldn't hurt.
"....."
Lucien got into range, a little to Kazuya's left, and silently threw a punch towards Kazuya's ribs, making sure not to let his breath give away his position.

(OOC: Hey man, you had stuff to take care of. No worries As his left kick hit literally nothing but air, his left side now facing Lucien, Kazuya would utilize all his senses to try and detect Lucien's position, in relation to his own position. The time spent in the most remote regions of Tibet and all the mediating taught Kazuya to calm his mind, which in turn helped to fine tune his focus. Though Lucien took great care to make no noise at all, he could not stop even the gentlest of breezes from flowing around his body, causing a split in the breeze's path. Just barely making out the displacement caused by Lucien's body, as the punch came towards his ribs, Kazuya would detect the barely perceptible rush of air from the speed of the punch, and his left arm would shoot out, to try and catch Lucien's fist in the palm of his hand. If he succeeded, he would then try to shove Lucien's arm back towards him, to send him off-balance. This was not about winning or losing. It was about learning and training.

Lucien was punching towards Kazuya... And then he was on the ground.
He landed with a thud, and a hard one, too. He looked up at his opponent, amazed.
......Wow.
And then, as silently as possible, he would lift his leg and try to sweep out Kazuya's legs, at the upper calf.

Kazuya's hearing was good, but he didn't have superhuman hearing. Barely managing to detect the sound of Lucien's leg sweeping towards his upper calf, to try and take his legs out from under him, Kazuya had no time to evade, and would simply try to tense his legs up and move his right leg further to his right, to hopefully prevent his legs from being taken out under him.
Once Lucien's leg collided with his his leg, Kazuya would quickly try to grab hold of Lucien's leg, and simply push the young Crow back again.
"Use your environment to your advantage, Lucien! If the ground is giving your position away, where else could you attack me from?"

How is it... That when I attack him... I GET HURT THE MOST?!
Lucien winced in pain as their legs collided. The slight shifting in Kazuya's base was more than enough to reverse Lucien's intentions. Again falling back on his ass, Lucien took a second to get up, and then took his opponent's advice and jumped, realizing that taking an opponent's advice right after they say it is probably not the best thing to do.
But, he jumped, and he snapped up a front kick right for the underside of Kazuya's jaw.

Kazuya would smile ever so slightly. The fact that he could not hear Lucien's movement after the young Crow had gotten up told him he had taken Kazuya's advice, and used the air to his advantage. Barely detecting the rushing sound of Lucien's upward kick, he could only turn his head to the side to lessen the blow to his jaw.
The kick hitting the side of his jaw solidly, he had felt worse, to be perfectly honest. But with taking the kick, Kazuya had an idea of where Lucien was in the air, and his left hand shooting out, would aim a flat palm strike at Lucien's chest, continuing to hold his strength back to avoid flattening him like okonomiyaki.

{OOC: This is the best thread.}
Lucien fell on his ass for what seemed like the tenth time. In fact, Lucien's mind well knew that it was only the third, but the exaggeration seemed fitting to the situation.
As his trunk hit the ground, a scraping sound coming from where he was skidding backwards, he winced. At least he hit him, that time...
Lucien got up slowly, breathing a little labored. He wasn't quite out of breath, but at the same time, Lucien wasn't used to all this falling and getting up. It had been a few years since his formal ninjutsu training, after all.
SO
Lucien took a step and launched himself, dive-rolling right over top of Kazuya's head, with a mixture of his recent parkour training and his classic ninjutsu.
Then, landing as silently as possible, he spun around and went to slam a fist into Kazuya's kidney.

Feeling the wind rush past him as Lucien dive-rolled over his head, landing behind him, Kazuya would turn his body 45 degrees, his right side now facing Lucien, and would hold his right arm in front of him, blocking Lucien's fist from hitting what would've been his kidneys. Activating his Qi, Kazuya would engulf himself in a flame red flame-like aura, causing the rest of his hair to spike straight up (think DBZ Super Saiyan aura).
"Keep it up! If I am listening for your movements, how can you use the wind and water to mask the sounds?"
