Chasing the Dragon (Dragons/Open)

Within Neutral Territory, borderline Dragon Territory, a lone figure could be seen moving through the ruins of what was once View Park. With each step taken, the figure moved closer and closer to the edge of Dragon Territory. With no visible weapons on his person at all, unless a plastic snowman lantern tucked inside the dark blue backpack he was carrying counted as one, Daniel wasn't here to make trouble, though it seemed trouble had other plans in mind.

Behind Daniel, in an alleyway located across from the park entrance/exit, four thugs were lying bleeding and unconscious, all four of them scattered along the alleyway. They had tried to ambush Daniel, thinking they could take him down and steal his belongings. He had proven them wrong. Despite wishing to avoid drawing attention to himself, Daniel had inadvertently drawn more attention to himself than he ever imagined.

Nick was merely in the area, with one of his employers many businesses in the area nick found himself routinely making rounds around this time and this place eager to see what lurks around the forbidden and well guarded Dragon territory.

From a distance Nick observed the events unfold with a certain smug look. Observation was his game, it was what he was paid to do and it was what he was doing. Anything and everything would be noted and reported.

Though Daniel could not see the observer, he couldn't help but get the feeling he was being watched. Nonetheless, he would continue on, moving ever closer to Dragon Territory, until he was just on the edge of the border, but still very much in Neutral Territory. Looking down at the invisible border, with nothing to lose, and everything to gain, he'd take his first step into Dragon Territory, going in no particular direction.

David sat, high in the air, arms folded. He was staring down at the bodies with a slight irritation- one of those men had information he needed, and now he would have to wait for the guy to wake up. He sighed, eyes following the man who had done the damage and the individual who had observed. David was able to feel every movement in the air, and the fellows breathing alone told him where he was.

David, however, would be out of sight. How, you might ask? By sitting close to the sun, where the rays blurred his image with heat. Plus, people didn't often look at the sun- it hurt to look there. Instead he would squat and wait to see how this unfolded.

OOC: Sorry mate- he wont have a reason yet to interject, as he's trying to stick out of Dragon business.

Daniel hadn't even taken two steps into Dragon Territory, before he felt the ground shake beneath him. Stopping dead in his tracks, his brows would furrow, the shaking was not that of an earthquake, it felt too spaced out and short. And then Daniel found out why. A shadow falling down upon him, turning to look behind him, he would see a tall, well-built man come stomping towards him, each footstep he took shaking the ground beneath Daniel.

"So,"

The man began to say, his eloquent and refined voice unfitting for a man of his stature and size,

"You are the one that rolled, flattened, and tossed aside my men. You will pay dearly for your insolence."

Taking off at a sprint, launching a hammer strike as soon as he was in range, Daniel's eyes would widen in surprise initially, but soon narrowed, not in anger, but in concentration. Daniel was well-trained in Tai Chi, and his opponent, while large, appeared to have little refinement in his fighting technique, but considering he was a gang leader, he would have to have some degree of strength.

Evading the hammer blow, Daniel would quickly circle around the large man, using the man's energy he was expending to his advantage, and would launch with a flowing motion, a simple double flat palm strike to the man's back, sending him stumbling forward, and serving to begin to infuriate him.

"Excuse me."

A young ten year old boy would speak up, his 4'7" tiny frame was nothing to gawk at, but the fact he was wearing a shirt that obviously bore the symbol of the Lightning Dragon along with the men following the boy, one all in white with white blonde hair and sky blue eyes who stayed silent, and another man in white and black mixed clothing including a bandanna with tan skin, a lip piercing and a rather mean looking red stick strapped to his back like a baseball bat.

"You are being mean in Dad's land, so you should stop."

Both Jave and the man all in white exchanged looks... Yet did nothing besides watch.

Just as the man whirled around, growing more and more irritated by the insolent young whelp who had coolly and calmly struck him from behind, just as he begun to build up his fury and unleash his feral rage, a voice would speak up from behind him, causing him to whip around in unbridled rage. His eyes narrowing in fury at the symbol on the young boy's shirt, he would let out a low growl. Who had once been a refined giant of a man had become feral, mainly in part from his ability.

"I have business with this boy, you stay out of--"

Before the man could finish his sentence, his eyes would widen in shock, before he fell to the ground like a sack of potatoes, the trio would see a mighty karate chop had been delivered to the back of the man's neck, knocking him out instantly.

"Forgive me for my trespassing, I did not mean for a disturbance to occur here. I simply went wherever and join whoever the wind took me to, which happened to be in your father's land, the land of The Dragons, though I have yet to join any gang."

While everything went on Spike had lifted his right hand which was covered in bandages from the tips of his fingers to the shoulder, putting the pinky into his ear and twisting a few times while everything went down.

"Yeah, that seems to be the general motivation. Gotta say though there are two ways to move about here freely, your a neutral party so it'll be easy. Lets go talk to my dad."

As Spike turned around Jave and the man in white stood still looking at the boy, who noticed the man in whites eyes kept going to the large man on the ground.

"Ah, right... Lets not have to worry about him again."

Thats right, ten year old boy just ordered the execution of a grown ass man. The man in white would move over to execute the order and they'd be on the way to Lightning Tower.

"Alright then."

Stepping over the limp body of the giant hulk of a man, for all his fanciful way of speaking, he was pretty pathetic when it came to combat. How this man became a gang leader, Daniel would never figure out... or know, with an order of execution given by the young boy. Daniel would barely bat an eye as the man in white moved to carry out the order, he was raised in a Triad gang, killing of enemies was not something new to him.

On their way to the tower in the distance after the deed was done, Daniel's overcoat would make a soft swishing noise with each step he took, his eyes more alert than he ever had been before.

Once at the gates to Lightning Tower the boy would look to the guy.

"So mister. my name is Spike, whats yours?"

For introduction purposes it was needed, Spike told the front guards the reason for coming, the red was all the matched in each of these guards clothing, everything else was different. Squad two of course was the current ones on tower defense shift.

Once inside they'd go into the tower all the way to the throne room where Leon Sudeki would be sitting in his throne. At least twelve people other than Daniel would be in there now. They'd announce Daniel as whatever he told Spike and Leon would wave for him to step forward.

"I understand you where part of a border dispute with a neighboring gang leader?"

"Lee Tai Long, or Tai Long Lee westernized, but everyone calls me Daniel."

Once all the introductions and pleasantries and the like were over and done with, following Spike into the tower all the way to the throne room, a man Daniel presumed to be Spike's dad sitting on a throne, being announced as simply Daniel, he'd step forward at the wave, and bow his head respectfully to him.

"Yeah. His men tried to take me down and steal my belongings, and then the leader came looking for revenge for the beat down I handed to them. Pretty petty though, all I have is my backpack with clothes and a lantern inside."

The lantern wasn't even worth taking, it was just some cheap plastic trinket. Daniel had a feeling they had been more interested in his overcoat though, the thing WAS bullet resistant, not that bullets were of any use anymore, Barker had seen to that.

"I didn't come to make trouble, I just went wherever the wind took me, and join whoever I met during my wandering, to possibly grow stronger in the process, so the trust my grandfather placed in me in sending me here was not misplaced."

"A wanderer then? From that display I'm told you where impressive enough... What skills exactly do you have?"

[Ryu Sakazaki]

"I've been trained by my grandfather in the art of Tai Chi, and the time I've spent in the Triad gang he is the boss of taught me some use in Chinese weaponry. I've been spending most of my free time doing nothing but training, to become stronger, and I have an in-depth knowledge of the human body, as I used to be a medical student."

[Mr. Kaar]

"What do you hold dear?"

Leon was getting curious now. He always found interest in drifters, they where usually the ones who had nothing.

"... The only emotional attachments I have for someone are for my grandfather back in Shanghai, China, and he is more than capable of holding his own in a fight. I have nothing to lose, and everything to gain here. Honor is the only other thing I hold dear. I was taught to never show mercy to my enemies, but the one thing I will never do, is take cheap shots."
