Well it seemed that it was time for him to start easing himself back in to his duties. His daughters were born and healthy, Bastille was on the mend. Even if she was being stubborn and pig headed as usual. First thing on his agenda. Attend to some of the strongholds and ensure that their defenses were up to snuff. In the case of Dragon Bank, it passed the test.
He chose this location today because he had something else he wished to do in this area of Dragon territory, and that was test out the progress of their Field Commander Levi Kayamei, the Dragon Slayer. He had high hopes for Levi as a member of the corpse, and possible an Elder. Should he survive Leon's training and pass all of their tests.
With his inspection done now all that was left was to wait for Levi to show up outside as he had requested.

Levi raced through Dragon territory along the rooftops, heading towards the bank, an area in Dragon territory he had never been before. His reason for racing to the bank was not to make a deposit, but to answer a request from someone he had not seen for quite some time, his hurry was merely due to his excitement, not urgency. As he closed in on the Qi signature that was Mathew's, a smile spread across his face as he stopped in front of Mathew, giving the elder a wave.
"Nice day.....welcome back...."
His hands went into his pockets as he leaned on his right leg, clearly relaxed and interested in the reason for Mathew's summons.
"What's up?"

He bowed his head slightly at Levi's words.
"Thank you Brother. And I am stretching my muscles again. You will be happy to hear that both of my girls came out healthy. And with Bastille on the mend I figured it was time to stop slacking off on my duties."
Not that the rest of the Dragon's could not handle things without him. They were more than capable. That was part of the point. Dragons could function as individuals. And they were all unified. If they heads vanished a new one would appear, and then move back as needed. They kept their hierarchy somewhat loose to facilitate that.
"What do you have to report?"

Levi took some of the relaxation out of his voice and stance as he prepared to give his report, he was speaking to one of the elders afterall.
"Our troops are preparing for my training regimen, I am now Knight Commander of the Lightning Dragon and on a personal note, my training is going rather well."

He nodded. That was good to hear. Both on the training front for himself, and for the troops. And to have Lightning Dragon added to the end of the title. Even if it was under Leon, still that meant he was doing well as far as Leon was concerned. Good for him.
"I look forward to seeing how the troops fall in with your regimen. As for your personal training, I would like to see first hand how far you have grown. Shall we say no Qi and no weapons or protective gear?"
Mathew himself was barefoot and wearing Jeans and a T shirt rather than his normal combat gear.

Levi smiled as he began to remove his gear.
"I was hoping you would want to see..."
He had anticipated some exercise but he was not one to risk not being at his best should something come up. He nodded in acceptance as he removed his gear, removing even the earth dragon pants, leaving him in a white tank top and black workout pants, he had prepared a bit afterall. He carefully removed Kyrie's gift to him and set it gently on top of the rest of his gear and turned to face Mathew as he stood in the middle of the road and bounced lightly on his feet a few times to loosen up. He settled down and put his hands up, palms outward, feet shoulder length apart.
"Ready when you are."

He smirked. He was glad to see that Levi was prepared. Though admittedly he was slightly worried when he started to take off his pants. He didn't swing that way! Thankfully he had pants under his pants. Pantsception! His only response to Levi declaring he was ready was to rush forward, pivoting on his left foot to spin and send an elbow for the back of Levi's head. Starting off things on an easy note.

Mathew's first attack was fast, but easily read as his body turned to follow the Earth Dragon, his left forearm tucking in to absorb the elbow at the tricep. Mathew's advantage in strength would be used against him this time as Levi used the force from the elbow to spin him around as he brought a roundhouse towards Mathew's right collarbone.

Mathew's head moved with the kick, his body moving with the blow to try and minimize damage, but it stung. He felt the blood rushing to his flesh around the area that was struck as it throbbed dully. A smile formed.
"Better reaction time. Packing more of a punch. Not bad."
Mathew would move back to put a little distance between them.
"Show me what else you have learned."

Levi smiled as he chased after Mathew as he stepped back.
"Gladly...."
Levi ran towards Mathew as he bent down to stay low. He juked to Mathew's right go around him as waited for Mathew's head to turn to follow. As soon as it did, Levi would quickly juke to the other side and back somewhat to go around the other way around. The idea was the escape his opponent's field of vision as it changed when he followed Levi's first juke. If his maneuver was successful, Levi would turn with the momentum from his dash and the leverage from being low as he torqued his body into a fierce left uppercut under Mathew's ribs.

It might work! If Levi was quick on the get go, because instead of just following him when he started to go around him Mathew would throw his body to his right, his elbow coming out to try and bash in to him, and slam his elbow in to Levi's ribs.

Levi had practiced this maneuver hundreds of times and, like a a good chess player, knew the variations after the execution of the technique by heart. The Mirage Dragon had seen the counter as it came in, but Mathew's speed and ability to mask the counter until the last second made a perfect dodge impossible. Levi's torso came up early as his left hand went to side of Mathew's elbow to use it as leverage to spin around and go to Mathew's right. The parry worked partially, Mathew's elbow catching him in the front of his ribs, and given the fact that the earth dragon's weight was fully behind that counter, Levi was glad he got away with what he did.
"Urgh!"
Levi grunted through the pain as he spun around, raising his right arm to try to connect an elbow strike to Mathew's head. This attack was much more obvious but Mathew's counter had forced a change of plans.

The blow connected with the side of Mathew's head earning a grunt and a few spots dancing across Mathew's vision. But both of them knew it would take a lot more than that to slow him down.
His body twisted to try and move with Levi, his own hand flying upward, fingers together. His intent was to spear him in the armpit before he could bring his elbow back down.

Levi smiled at the Earth Dragon's resilience, he wasn't surprised the last blow hadn't slowed him down, but all the same, he had been counting on it at least comprimising Mathew's position a little bit. Levi did his best to return his arm to a defensive position, but to no avail as Mathew's attack hit home, the nerve bundle in his arm shooting a sharp numbness through the limb, Levi's face contorting with clenched teeth to endure the sensation.
"ah!"
Despite the feeling in his arm requiring at least another minute to return, Levi knew now was the time to attack. Levi knew an attack from his right hand would be easily read, but it could yet serve a purpose. He swiftly reached across with his right arm and latched onto Mathew's wrist as he attempted to pull Mathew down and towards him as he brought his left leg up to aim a sharp knee blast to the chin if everything went according to plan.

The knee connected with his chin, his jaw clicking with the blow as his teeth slammed together. A dull throbbing feeling started to pulsate, that would probably feel worse later. No matter.
He didn't bother trying to free his hand, instead he was just going to shoulder through it. Pretty much literally as he threw his weight at Levi in an attempt to bring them both to the ground, where he would try to wrestle out a position on top where he could start raining down punches on the man.
