Progress report (Levi/open)

Levi had no answer for Mathew's push as he had used most of his options. Knowing he was going down, Levi braced himself for the impact with the ground, making a plan of attack at the same time.

As Levi hit the ground on his back, he let out a slow breath avoid having the wind knocked out despite Mathew's shoulder drilling into his chest. Keeping a cool head was the key to surviving this position and Levi was good at that if nothing less. Levi still didn't have full utility back in his arm so attacking Mathew's head was not the most effective option, however his legs were more than functional and he would try to buy his handicaped arm some time to recover. Levi threw his hips forward as his legs came up and attempted to cross in front of Mathew's neck. If successful, Levi would pull down to hopefully peel Mathew off of him and get a quick upperhand in what was surely going to be a grapple fight.

So in a straight up punching match there was no way Levi was going to win. Especially as Mathew got the upper hand on the Asian man. Mathew grinned like a cat who trapped a mouse in the corner. The first blow was about to fall on Levi as he felt the man's hips shift only a moment before his legs wrapped around Mathew's neck. It didn't seem to get a good position over his windpipe, that was the good news. The bad news is it did get good positions over the major arteries in his neck.

So when Levi pulled back Mathew didn't even fight it, he leaned back with it, falling to his own back as he brought his arms up to send whatever he could in to Levi's thighs and legs to get him to release him. He did not like this position.

Levi knew he wouldn't be able to hold Mathew for long and the restraint had served its purpose so when Mathew began to push, Levi simply let go and rolled backwards onto his feet to remove himself from a lost grappling battle. While Levi was a dangerous grappler himself, Mathew was not the type of opponent Levi wanted to grapple with given his physical disadvantages.

Levi felt he had adequately demonstrated his physical and martial gains, but the bulk of his training had been spent on his newest ability. He wiped the sweat from his brow as he waited for Mathew to get up, a smile on his face, "So would you care to see the bulk of my progress?" Levi held out his hand a formed a simple ball out of pale light, tossing it to Mathew to catch, a thin stream of light connecting it his hand as it left his sphere of influence.

And when the grapple was released Mathew would roll and pick himself up. Tilting his head as Levi asked if he wanted to see the bulk of his progress. The smile said that it was probably something worth seeing. So he gave the man a silent nod to let him know that Mathew was interested in seeing this. That was one of the reasons for the meeting after all.

He watched as the ball of light formed in his hand and then was tossed through the air. Mathew reached out to try to catch it, unsure if it would burn or not, but curious all the same. He was obviously the kind of kid that had to put his hand on the element of the stove to learn not to touch it. Learn by doing!

Levi's smile faded as he began to focus, if Mathew wanted to see his progress, he was going to see all of it. The ball in Mathew's hand dispersed into wisps of white light which quickly faded as the 6 foot area around Levi began to become filled with various object made of a faint, white and transparent light. The objects orbited the area around him as he began his demonstration, "This is my "sphere" of influence, any light within about six feet of me is as good as one of my limbs," Levi said as the objects reshaped themselves into two arms, one on each side of him.

The left arm's hand tapped the other arm as Levi continued, "that also means that anything within that area that is not light is detected almost as if it was touching me....I believe it is simply my "sixth" sense being much stronger within this area."

Levi's left arm of light made its way towards Mathew stopping in front him and raising its hand for a high five, a small thread of light between the edge of Levi's "sphere" and the arm, "To have control over any light outside of this area, I must use light to remain connected to it...this naturally requires more conscious thought and is thus harder to maintain depending on the complexity and strength."

The arm retreated to his side and both pairs of arms were held out to the side, "Wanna see the practical applications?" clearly challenging Mathew to a battle of Qi that he knew he would lose, but this was a progress report, not a competition.

Mathew totally gave the light a high five. One does not simple not high five a hand made of Qi energy. Unspoken rules and man code. Surely Levi understood. Then he offered to demonstrate the practical application. How could he turn that down? Stomping in to the ground a sword rose up from the ground and Mathew snatched it out of the ground. Much like the one he made when they met that young man from before.

"Show me what you got."

And he slide in to a defensive stance, ready to try and slice through anything that Levi would send at him. He had never really fought Levi with his Qi. So this would be an interesting learning experience for them both.

The luminescent arms dissapated as Levi began to build an arsenal of solid spheres. The spheres formed at the size of a baseball, but after a moment of concentration from Levi, the spheres condensed to the size of golf balls. Levi saw no reason to hold back as he could easily tell Mathew would be able to handle anything he threw given the strength of his Qi. Levi seemingly continued to make more spheres until a hundred small spheres surrounded him, almost obscuring him from view. "Here goes..." Levi swiped his hand in front of him as the spheres of pale light hurdled towards the Earth Dragon in quick succession, almost as if a machine gun was firing them. The trick behind this was that half of the spheres had been made as mere projections with no mass at all. Controlling this many objects outside of his sphere of influence would be strenuous, but a feat like this was no issue at all as he could simply fire the spheres and let go.

Mathew was surprised that so many balls started to appear. It was shown by a widening of his eyes, and to be surrounded by so many attacks. Well there was no way that he could slice through them all in a conventional manner. So he would have to use a different approach.

Slamming the sword in to the ground in front of him he used the vibrations and his own energy to push the stone up around his body to form a thin half sphere of stone around him that would hopefully block the lights. But with so many blasts he was not sure if he could stop so many at once!

As Mathew shielded himself and the projectiles pummeled his shield, Levi put his hand in the air, making a large pillar out of solid light and,making sure to know move his feet, threw his hand down as the pillar followed suit, crashing down on top of Mathew's defense in combination with a remaining projectiles that had yet to fire.
