ALLLLLRIGHT.
So Mitsuki is wandering around neutral territory when all of a sudden a bunch of guys in tattered clothing approach her with makeshift weapons (she had to give them credit; some of the weapons they bore were really creative). Okay, just kidding- they didn't randomly showed up because she kind of put herself in this position. So yeah, anyway, most of them were pretty scrawny, the big buff guy probably their leader, and they were all looking very, very unhappy.
There was a small girl behind her. Probably a teenager, no more than 16; her clothes just as tattered, if not more. Bruises, cuts- signs of abuse so prevalent that were simply unacceptable. She had been traveling with them for survival, but in exchange...she lost a bit of her soul.
Suki just happened to walk by when they were pushing her to the ground...in return, she simply waltzed right up to the guy and slammed her heel into the poor chap's neck. Was he dead? Well...he was still on the ground, and the force of impact was pretty deadly... But no, he wasn't dead.
There were probably twelve of them. So disgusting. She gave them an option-- or...she tried to.
"You can leave-"
"Yee? Y'think we're gon' leave wit'out her? Fucukin' beeitch, who do you think you are?"

Most days Olesya spent her time with the Dragons, acting as the Voice for David Blaze, the Storm Dragon. She wasn't a Dragon herself, but she could act on his behalf, opening lines of negotiation with neighboring clans and territories. She was recognized as the 'Renegade,' one of Barker's experiments who wasn't under his thumb, who in fact openly defied him.
Today, however, she was just out for a joy ride. She'd rebuilt an old motocross bike for her own transportation, as she didn't feel the need for a caravan every time she wanted to leave the Dragon's walls (though she knew David would prefer it that way). In many ways she was still a fiercely independent spirit. She needed her space, and joy riding let her do just that.
She was driving past a small group of people who she at first paid no mind to, until one kicked another right in the throat. It was a skillfully executed kick, Les could tell even from the distance. She changed her direction, curiosity getting the best of her as she approached them/ She didn't hear any of the exchange, through both the roar of the motor and the helmet on her head, but the body language was more than enough to tell her that tensions were high.
Les skidded to a stop just outside the circle, cutting her motor and kicking down the kickstand at the same time. She pulled the helmet off her head and a halo of white hair fell, framing her face. Brown eyes flecked with an unnatural ice blue gazed between the group of thugs and the young woman Les didn't recognize. She'd just walked into a stand off, but over what? A young girl cowered on the ground in the middle of the group of thugs, and she looked from her to them to the standing young woman who was fiercely staring them down.
Olesya ran a hand through her distinguished hair, setting the helmet on the handlebars. She reached down to the walkie talkie attached at her hip on the far side of the circle and tapped out a quick message.
... - .- -. -.. --- ..-. ..-. --..-- ... ... .-- .-.-.- -.. .-. -. --. . .-. - -... -.. .-.-.-
(S-t-a-n-d o-f-f, S S-W. D-a-n-g-e-r T-B-D.)
She wouldn't move, watching the exchange silently. Whether they recognized her as the Renegade Experiment, as the Voice of the Storm Dragon, or as Olesya Van deBogart, she didn't know, nor was it consequential at this moment. Maybe there would be a harsh exchange of words and they'd be on their way. Humanity was unpredictable, it always had been. That was half the fun.

In reply to the man's question, Mitsuki stepped forward wa-bam. Right hand in a blade, struck the guy in the gut, causing him to bend forward, and with the same hand struck him on the side of the neck. Pressure points taught her well. "One." As if on cue, the rest of the floaters attempted to jump Mitsuki at once; but with all these people, some were forced to sit back. Twelve on one was a challenge- but these were lackeys who didn't know how to fight. Judging from their sloppy attacks, Mitsuki figured they merely carried around the weapons for intimidation, and hadn't actually had the chance to use it. Mitsuki, being a 'new face' in the area, probably seemed like an easy target. She wasn't a big named player in any part of California, and the only people who would know or even remember her would be the students from #259. But she had on her gas mask, so even then, she was an unknown figure. "Four." Three more had been taken down before they managed to land their first hit- a kick to the back. Mitsuki stumbled forward from the sheer force, but a single kick was unlikely to bring anyone down. More were standing back out of fear, now, preferring to run away than to attack after witnessing the female being able to disarm and knock them out in swift motions. "Six." But...the other six. They stood in fear before...running off. And Mitsuki would let them go- she was a merciful person, after all. She turned and looked down at the younger teen, before something- or someone- was caught her attention. She stood in silence, eyes scanning the figure. A sense of familiarity, but...unrecognizable. Her left hand lifted to the bottom of the mask and pulled up and out, revealing herself. Uh. "..." Who was she? Couldn't put her finger on it...was on the tip of her tongue....... OOC: ...D: Sorries, I don't know how much Les changed physically since they last saw each other.

[ooc; sorry took a bit to respond, I drew piccies for you! HERE is younger Les that Mitsuki would remember, HERE is current Olesya. Noteably she is skinnier, obv older looking, and her eyes are ice blue on the inside and hazel on the outside, and her hair is obv white. Younger Les was bouncy and energetic whereas current Les is more cautious and guarded.] === Well, it looked like the strange young woman in the gas mask had things under control. In fact, her chest tightened the smallest fraction as she watched her move. She was fast, skilled, and deadly. Les didn't want to have to fight her if she didn't have to. The young woman made it through six of the thugs before the rest ran away, leaving the girl behind. If she wasn't mistaken, she could have sworn she saw a hint of relief through the fear in the girl's face. The savior turned to face Olesya, pulling off her gas mask and revealing her face. There was something strangely familiar about her features, but time and war had changed them all so much that she couldn't be certain. Maybe it had been a girl from her school, and she recognized her face from passing in the halls or something. When she was Varsity Captain, Olesya got to know a good portion of the student body, but probably couldn't remember half their names if her life depended on it. She met the girl's stare for a moment, curiosity etched in her features, before she remembered why she was here. She glanced to the younger girl, who was slowly, shakily, getting to her feet, and looking back to the familiar-looking girl. "Everything alright here?"

OOC: LOL I LOVE THE PICTURES. Woahhh silvery haiiiir...also, if you want to control this girl NPC, by all means...go right ahead.
Hnn... She would remember if she needed to remember, otherwise, those thoughts of familiarity were dismissed. Her eyes, however, would briefly flick at the biker chick's hip where the walkie talkie rested. If Mitsuki wasn't so keen on keeping an impassive, cold exterior in front of strangers, she probably would have frowned. Not that she had a personal vendetta against the electronics, its just that because the girl had one, meant she was with a faction. Probably somewhere in the 'upper class' of her group, considering the scarcity of electronics.
She looked down at the girl who was then struggling to stand on her feet. Mitsuki offered a hand, to which she accepted, and allowed the girl to lean against her...like a pillar.
"Everything alright here?"
Mitsuki looked up at the biker chick, then back at the struggling chick, and again looked back at the biker chick...and then finally shrugged her shoulders.
Hnnh..voice was familiar too. She for sure interacted with this chick once before. "...have we met?" Mitsuki would just ask. Perhaps a little blunt, but...
Er...what to do with this girl...?

God, even her voice sounded familiar. More mature, most definitely, but it struck a ghost of a chord none-the-less. Les narrowed her eyes in confusion, her stark white bob tilting to the side a small fraction. She studied the girl's features intensively, momentarily forgetting that the other girl was still there.
"I don't know."
The younger girl stepped up to them cautiously, afraid to interrupt. Les caught the presence in the corner of her eyes, turning her attention back to the girl. She was pretty banged up, a lot of bruises dotted her skin and she was very dirty, so it was hard to tell exactly how injured she was. She limped slightly, and she had a couple smears of red on her cheeks and arms. The pointer finger on her left hand was swollen and purple, definitely broken.
"Sit."
She ordered the girl, kindly yet firmly. Olesya stepped off her bike and flipped open the case she had attached to the back, pulling out a small med kit. She couldn't do too much now, but at lest she could help. She crouched beside the girl, opening the kit on the ground and grabbing some antiseptic wipes.
"Did you go to 259?"
She asked the strangely familiar girl as she began to work on the teen, not looking up.

Mitsuki noted the girl's foot had been swollen as well, hence the limp. Probably sprained from a bad fall, Mitsuki mused, staying in the background...which was a bit odd. Ironically, she had grown so accustomed to being the attending "physician" back in Chicago and stayed off the field for some time. Mitsuki would assume that this girl knew what to do with the ankle...if not, then she would point it out. Make shift a wrap via cloth, or something, if there wasn't a wrap in her medical kit- which, might I add, was a super smart thing to carry around.
She slipped her hands into the pockets of her leather jacket. "Hnnh, yeah. Did you?"
Mitsuki didn't ask out of curiosity, but more out of obligation. She figured the girl went to 259 because she asked Mitsuki if she specifically went to 259. That, and it would explain why this girl looked familiar. Probably saw her in the halls, or something.

Les tenderly straightened out the girl's leg, rolling her pants up to mid calf so she could assess the damage. Her ankle was swollen and discolored in purples and greens. Sprained, possibly even broken. Olesya wasn't a doctor but she knew enough common-sense medicine to be able to support it until they got back to Dragon territory.
"Yeah, I did. Never graduated though."
She pulled an ace bandage from her kit and began to wrap the girl's ankle with one hand while supporting her heel in her other hand, slightly above the ground. She had yet to look back at the young woman in question.
"My name's Olesya."
She introduced herself both to the young woman and for the teen girl's benefit. She looked up to the younger girl before turning her attention back to the task at hand. The young girl shook slightly under Olesya's touch, possibly from the injuries and malnourishment. Poor thing, Les felt a twinge of pity for her. Maybe it was because she'd become a psuedo-mother, but she felt the urge to take care of her. Hence the first aid.
"K-Kari."
The teen spoke shakily, her coive not much more than a squeak. It was better than nothing though.

"My name's Olesya."
"..deBogart...?"
Dang. Changed woman. The Olesya she remembered was one who was quick with her tongue; fearless, to an extent; witty. Not saying she wasn't any of these anymore, but there definitely seemed to be some sort of filter now. Wasn't as open.
Then again...no one's really 'open' anymore.
"K-Kari."
Seriously. What the eff was wrong with this world? It was like every damn child and/or helpless young female was named Kari, Kaori, Kira, or some other damn combination. Inaudible sigh would escape her, hands slipping into the pockets of her leather jacket. She took in the girls physical attributes, emphasizing the key differences between her daughter and this girl...for the sake of her own sanity. Not that someone having the same name as her deceased daughter would make her go crazy, but...ever since stepping into California, her heart had been going through an emotional wreck.
It may not have really hit her now, that Kari and Kari were similar in more ways than one...but it would later. When she was alone, she would continue to bear the consequences of not properly mourning when her daughter had first died.
"Mitsuki," she introduced herself, more for Kari than for Les. "Long time no see, 'Les."
Honestly, it was kind of nice seeing a female familiar face. The only time they ever really interacted outside of school was when she was buying flowers from her family's shop. Beautiful place; simple and artistic, an aesthetic aroma...and flowers. Flowers everywhere.
She wouldn't ask Les about her hair, nor her change in demeanor. People changed; and it's been a good six years since Mitsuki had been in California.
A half grin would cross her face. Still a cold exterior...but, didn't look too intimidating. For Kari. Olesya was most likely more used to Mitsuki's more apathetic front.
Three girls in one area; two are well-versed in fighting. Girl power? Heeeeellllll yeah.

The corner's of Olesya's mouth turned upward as the young girl introduced herself. She finished wrapping the ankle and gently set it back on the ground. It was the best she could do at this point, David's doctor would be able to see that she was given a proper physical and taken care of. AT this thought, Olesya rotated her right shoulder in a small circle, the scar tissue tugging ever so slightly in resistance. If it hadn't been for that man, she could have bled out. She trusted him with her life, which said something in today's world.
As the woman spoke, Olesya's muscles all tightened simultaneously, and her breath caught in her throat. Those three syllables hadn't been uttered in years, echoing through her past like a bell.
Mi. Tsu. Ki.
The young woman stood and turned so fast that it appeared to be a blurred singular movement. She stopped, staring at the woman in front of her like she'd seen a ghost. Hazel eyes flecked with ice blue gave her a once-over, trying to put together the pieces to connect the dots from her past until now. The cafeteria brawl, the flower shop, the mutual respect and blooming friendship cut off at the bud.
"Mitsuki..."
Her voice came out hoarse, as she was just remembering how to breathe. In...out...in...out...two purposeful breaths, and she stepped forward and hugged the girl tight around the shoulders. It was just as much as a reassurance that the woman in front of her was real as it was a gesture of affection.
"They said you were dead."

OOC: I LIKE YOUR SIIIIGGYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYY!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Alsoooo, this thread is waaaaaaaaay before her trip to Crow Territory / Texas.
Some reunions were heartfelt- this one seemed to blow all others out of the water. There was always something different about having a girl friend compared to guys. Guys didn't understand the pains of having a period or cramps; wouldn't understand the potential mood swings that would come with, or the food cravings and need for all things chocolate and ice cream. When coming to California, there were two people that Mitsuki was especially looking forward to seeing again: Emily and Olesya. When she heard from Kazuya that Emily had passed, Mitsuki was reminded of the huge possibility that most of the people she knew from 259 were dead- either from Barker, or something else. Six years had gone by since her departure, after all.
Her arms tightly wound around Olesya, shoulders relaxing.
"Yeah- death wasn't quite ready for me."
Her 'death' senior year was done for show- to create distance between her and her family's past, to create time for the Parks so they could come up with a plan to make their history, history. So when she came back to finish her studies (mostly under an advisor doing independent work), she did so quietly; graduating early and saying goodbye to her pillars (David, Emily, and Saint) before moving forward with her life. And at time, her life was medical school and her family. So it was no surprise
After a couple seconds, Mitsuki would let go. Her eyes would do a quick scan of the girl, a small smile appearing on her face. She was visibly thinner, and wasn't sure how else to describe the change other than 'mature' (and of course, obvious hair/eye color differences).
She briefly looked at Kari.
"Maybe we should move elsewhere?"
They were completely out in the open. That was probs unsafe?

((OOC: EEEEEE THANK JOOOOOOOOO, tis a rough drawing, Im gonna clean it up later maybeee))
Every time a friend from her past came back into her life, Olesya could feel a small bit of hope returning to her heart that she would find her family alive. At first there had been no one, then Jon had found her at the asylum. The Delilah had escorted her to the Crows territory. Then David...then David. Then Maddie and Mathew and Mitsuki and suddenly her world was spinning again. She had gone so long without people to care for that she feared she'd lost her ability to care. Now with each friend returning, she could feel a piece of her heart flooding back to life.
Olesya coughed, letting go and taking a step back, blinking her eyes a couple time before returning to business.
Mitsuki was right, there was enough time for her brain to implode later, when they were safe behind defensive walls. They were far too exposed here. The young woman pursed her lips, looking between the teenage girl and Mitsuki, and then to her bike. Technically it could only hold two people, but they were all relatively small females, they could make it work if they needed to.
"I have a safe haven. How did you get here?"
She asked, inquiring of Mitsuki's transportation. Had she walked? Drove? Sky dived? Transmattered? Figuring out their resources would be the first step in getting them all back safely.

With it have only been a couple weeks since her arrival in California, knowing where these 'safe havens' were would be good for her. For the most part, she had been bumming at Kazuya's to spend time with his daughter, or back in neutral territory, either lurking the empty apartments at night or travelling and sleeping during the day. Today was an exception; Skye had tottered off as if he wanted to show her something, and Mitsuki had a helluva time chasing after him. After visiting the area Skye kept wandering off to and checking for any threats, she wandered away and ran into the situation with...Kari.
"From Chicago, partially drove, partially walked."
She probably didn't even know Mitsuki had come all the way from Chicago. She had been telling people she was teleported, and it was odd that some believed her...probably because they weren't used to her telling jokes to know that she was joking, but she hadn't bothered to correct them. Anywho, that would be part of the story to tell once they reached safer grounds.
"Think you can trust me, Kari?"
Standard question, because Kari's life would be briefly in Mitsuki's hands when on the bike. After Kari's answer, which she assumed would either be a nod or a 'yes', she would pick Kari up with relative ease (students from 259 were almost never weak), set herself down behind Olesya (but perpendicularly, with both legs hanging off one side of the bike), with Kari on her lap. Left arm would secure around Kari's waist, and once Olesya started the bike, right arm would secure around hers. Yahoo.

Chicago. The one place other than Long Beach where Olesya felt her family could have survived. She'd searched her old stomping grounds for signs of her family and had found nothing. A stormy expression echoed across the woman's face for a split second before returning to her neutral calculating confidence she wore a moment before. After a moment of thought, she pulled the walkie talking from her belt and pressed the 'talk' button.
"Tenae-kukoo-ha-ku. (Dragons) Incoming with two civilians, 20 clicks South. Provide cover, over."
A moment of silence followed before a voice crackled over the speaker. "Luoo-baeoh de-raae-de." Copy that.
She swung her leg over her bike, picking up her helmet and slipping it back over her head before turning to Mitsuki and Kari.
"Alright, hop on."
She revved the engine to life as Mitsuki and the young girl Kari got on. Both girls were relatively light, but Olesya could feel the weight difference in how the bike felt to her when she kicked up the kickstand. She would have to be more careful, especially when turning. Sharp, sudden turns would be impossible without dumping all three of them off the bike. Luckily the trip was mostly a straight shot, as long as they didn't run into any trouble.
"Sorry I don't have any helmets for you, but the trip should be fairly quick. It's about 20 minutes from here. Hold on tight!"
The last bit was probably redundant because she could feel Mitsuki's arm wrapped strongly around her waist. It was in her best interest not to let go, and Olesya trusted her, which was saying a lot because Olesya only trusted a handful of people. The rest she only trusted as far as she could throw them.
Revving the engine to life, Olesya flipped her visor down and slowly took off, getting used to the new center of balance before increasing their speed. She wanted to cover as much ground as possible in as little time as possible. The less time they were exposed, the better. After ten long minutes, a large wall rose far in the distance. A couple dark figures on bikes approached from the opposite direction in a V-type formation. Two more bikes approached from either side, coming up to flank Olesya and her little caravan. Spotting the Dragon ingisnia on the shoulders of their jackets, Les breathed a sigh of relief. Soon enough they reached the gates, tall reinforced structures topped with barbed wire to keep out unwanted visitors. The gates pulled back, allowing the bikes into the compound.
Olesya applied the brakes, setting her feet down to skid them to a halt. Kicking the kickstand back down, she removed her helmet and grinned at the wind-tossed girls.
"Welcome to Dragon Territory."

Although it wouldn't protect Kari's head, Mitsuki pulled her gas mask over the younger girl's face to at least protect her face from the wind. Not that she would need it, since they wouldn't be moving too fast anyway, but some protection was better than none. Mitsuki merely pulled her hood over to prevent her hair from flying in all directions, and then securely held onto both Olesya and Kari.
When figures on bikes appeared, Mitsuki, too, tensed a bit until they came into view. Recognizing the Dragon insignia, she seemed to mirror Olesya's reaction in terms of feeling relief. The wall grew taller and taller as they drew closer and closer, and before she knew it, they were passing by the entrance and skid to a stop. From there, she shifted herself off the bike yet kept Kari still sitting, before crouching in front of her so that she'd get on her back. Effing ay. Kari wasn't even a common name but everyone had the name. -_-
There were still parts of Dragon territory that she had yet to explore. For the most part, she stayed near Kazuya's home to visit Kaori- that, and because she didn't have the hachimaki-thing, she figured she'd either be safest there, or around David. But let's be honest- she wouldn't come to this territory just to visit David; he was a friend, but unless he was deathly ill or specifically requested for her, she wouldn't bother making a trip.
"Thanks. Is there a doctor on site?"
She was asking for two reasons: 1. For Kari, obviously, and 2. For herself. Not to get checked up on, but...Mitsuki was literally a year away from getting her MD. She just wanted to ask the doctor some questions, like how he/she functioned in a society where medical technology was no longer how it used to be. That...and among other things. But questions for the doctor would wait- more importantly, while Kari was getting checked up, she thought might be a good time for Olesya and herself to play a bit of catch up.
