Those lines engraved into the wooden plaque that was rested against the wall on the table in front of him. His fingers tracing over the polished dark wood, the light catching it and bouncing all over the place.
How long has it been since I've felt alive?
The boy thought out loud as he stood up. His body ached, from the late night drills and intense training he was putting his seniors through.Standing up he moved across the room to his wardrobe and removed the towel that was covering the last of his body. A chill went down his spine as a gust of cold air blew into the room from the open window. Getting into his armor and clothes Jack finished by wrapping his weapons belt around his waist and moved out of the room.
Two guards stood station at his door
"I'm heading out for the night. No need for a guard.
Apart from the salute the men did not move and instead took his orders in silence. Jack stalked across the complex and out into the night eager for a challenge and eager for some meat. Moving south west so he was now between Dragon, Deorc Veritas, Olympian and Paladin territory. As expected two squads of Invictus were already waiting for me. A smile on his face Jack looked at his soldiers.
"Everyday you grow in strength, everyday you become closer to forming the very army which will take over this world."
A convoy was heading through the region with some valuable goods. Jack was intending to take the convoy by surprise kill who they have to spare the rest and take the goods back to the head quarters. They had already checked it with the council this convoy were trying to cheat the community of their tax therefore Jack would put a stop to it.
A little time later
They checked the carts, they found food and weapons. Baseball bats, poorly crafted swords, a lot of arrows and a lot of bows. Looking around at his men he nodded and gave the all clear for them to move out. They moved the carts around the back and through a hidden entrance. When they arrived he turned to his men and bade them to go and get some rest. Leaving the logistics up to others more qualified.
