The Path (Levi/Aryn)

Leon was in the small training field within the courtyard of the tower simply doing warm ups, only wearing his pants from his power suit. He had summoned his two apprentices for the next step in their training, both by now undoubtedly had gotten slightly if not much better at their Qi.

Only problem was the way they had used it... Leon would teach them in his own opinion what the true form of their Qi was.

Aryn saunters walks sways on up, uncertain if she should be listening to the nagging sensation that today was probably going to be a painful day or ignoring it.

"Fuuv. Yfffff--cilr y kuut kenm~"

Yes. Yes that is going to be a running gag for a while.

[Mr. Kaar]

Leon would chuckle as he turned towards Aryn.

"Heh, yc muhk yc E vaat ran yht gaab ran ahdandyehat."

He'd sense the area a bit, since Levi wasn't here he'd simply get a jump start.

"Care to show me what you've learned with your Qi?"

[Aryn Valcoph]

"E cina ruba oui tu. E rayn cra'c bnuha du fyhtanehk uvv uid uv punatus."

She cheeky grin faded after a moment. She stuck an arm out, as if moving to deliver an uppercut, and flames swirled the length of her hand and arm--no nifty little qi specks needed. She worked them to be as intense as she could muster along her arm, building the heat and keeping it within a small space.

"Offense or defense...though the defense only works if it's not against crazy assholes like yourself~ Still working on the not-burning-own-clothes-to-cinders bit." Hmmm, what else. Oh yeah~ She stepped towards him and snapped her arm out without overextending it. The heat she'd built up condensed to a small packet with the motion to be delivered outwards in Leon's direction as a fairly solid pressure punch.

Tiny smirk. Not that she was powerful - at least compared to him (or even Levi) - but it did extend her reach a bit, and if she used it at closer range, could probably do some more damage.

Levi descended the stairs from the tower as he looked over to the training field. A small smirk conveyed his interest in what he assumed was a test of their progress up to this point. He rather enjoyed showing his master what he had accomplished and his strength had grown significantly as of late, particularly with his abiliy to manipulate light energy. As he approached the foxy vixen and his master he gave a small wave as his blood began to heat up in anticipation.

"knaadehkc..."

Levi began to stretch as he continued to speak, his hands resting flat against the ground as he stretched his hamstrings.

"cbynnehk dutyo?"

Leon 'watched' Aryn move and the flow of her Qi. It was well harnessed and accomplished. It was a little more advanced for her than he had suspected she would be, which was good. Leon smiled and nodded at her when she finished the show.

"Impressive, truely."

Then Leon sensed Levi's approaching aura and waited as he did appear he'd look to Levi and answer he question asked while also asking his own question.

"Likely, I wish to 'see' currently what you have learned to do with your Qi. Then I will teach you both what in my opinion is Qi's strongest form."

Obviously Levi's blood was heating because chances were Aryn would be crawling all over him! ...ooorrrr he was gay and looking forwards to Leon doing the same.

Maybe a two-for-one deal!?

Regardless, Aryn pivoted with a smirk and wink for her fellow apprentice, twisting the flames from her arm and fist to shape them to somewhat more recognizable shapes. Eventually, she wanted to be able to form a large dragon.

Somewhat of a thing for fun, but damn she could wreak some destruction if she planted that baby on a Barker building.

Levi smiled as he was informed that he would get to flex his newest 'muscle'. Levi squared his feet towards Leon and began to rapidly summon his energy.

"So you want to see the best I've got?.....gladly."

He was taught to show he very limit when tested by one's master and this time was no exception, however, Levi would not display his solid clone technique as it was far from ready and one could not consider that his effective limit, but he could do something close to his limit without sacrificing effectiveness.

"Maboroshi gakudan......"<phantom orchestra>

The light around did not dim as it sometimes did when he gathered his strength, instead it began to warp: Soon distortions began to appear in various places, quickly becoming replica images of the Mirage Dragon himself. Levi's brow furrowed somewhat as he focused to manipulate each one. Someone with his eyes would see Levi's qi manipulating the light around the field to create the images, but to anyone else, they would appear as exact clones. Levi's greatest weapon was not his ability to merely use light as a weapon, but to actively augment his existing abilities through illusion. Twenty one Levi's now stood around the Lightning Dragon, all with steel eyes staring at him, intensity on each face.

"asobu!"<play>

At Levi's word, the images began to weave in various directions, disappearing and reappearing at times to give the sense that one could not keep up with the images. Levi himself replicated this effect by intermittently bending the light around himself to give the illusion that he had momentarily disappeared. After a few moments, each image began to attack in its own way: a kick, a backfist, a flying axe kick...each attack was unique including Levi's own real attacks. Levi knew that his master's unique talents would allow him to see through this illusion as it relied mostly on sight, but this was certainly one of the best tricks in Levi's bag, though it was not the entire technique. As the clones continued their "assault," Levi rapdily weaved his own attacks into the barrage.

Leon smiled actively avoiding the incoming attacks from Levi allowing the illusions to do their thing. He liked it, hard to predict, but he could sense the Qi around him.

"Both of you have shown some rather impressive ability of control."

Leon would praise them on that fact.

"Outward use of your Qi is good, but in my own personal opinion diminishes the destructive power behind it in a way. It also can be hard to keep up for long periods of time since you are literally causing energy to exist outside of your body. Sacrificing your own energy in ways."

Leon would give a demonstration and extend both his arms outward launching blazing intense lightning bolts from them to the point of turning the dust in the air to ash, and the sand on the ground to glass. The dirt becoming a mix of solid rock and hot coals.

"But using this energy to simply fuel yourself you use less energy and can manipulate it to your own need. Strength, agility, defense, even information analysis and perception. But its dangerous to the user as well."

Leon would show this by taking his own Qi to the max within his body, beginning to glow outwardly as it leaked out causing the black electricity to spark about his body.

"If you dont know how to use it properly it can damage you physically." He'd 'look' at Aryn. "And Mentally." he'd 'look' at Levi.

Leon would let it subside and breath softly.

"Today this is what we will practice."

He'd 'look' to Aryn, again.

"Aryn, your fire may not burn you, but it can do some serious damage as raw energy charging your body. We are not built to go to these extremes so doing it in small bursts is your best bet. Keeping it going at a constant is what will end up being your down fall."

Back to Levi.

"Levi you are like me in that we are batteries with an almost infinite supply of our Qi, in this while charging ourselves with that raw energy it can bring out the more... Violent and aggressive parts of our brains and personalities almost to the point of losing ourselves. Thus prolonged use is dangerous to us as well. For this reason and the same reason it is dangerous for Aryn."

'Pretty light show~'

Aryn nodded as Levi did his thing, not really able to differentiate between what was illusion and what was real, considering his mastery over his craft. Whalp. Looks like she had some brushing off her sleeves to do before she rolled 'em up, no?

It may have been surprising, but the brunette paid careful attention to what Leon was saying. And in a way, it made sense. If she could focus her qi inwards, heat her core up, she should be able to metabolize faster (could be dangerous~) and perhaps move faster. She clicked her tongue against the roof of her mouth, thoughtfully.

She had, of course, moved back and away from Leon's own display - just because she was probably going to be zapped to oblivion otherwise. Self-Preservation at its finest, though she didn't seem to be fearful of it. Or maybe it was of the man that wielded it.

"...interesting."

And still betting on it being...painful~

Levi had considered Leon's proposed application of Qi before, it was risky if used improperly, but the benefits were undeniable as long as one could maintain control. Levi's face turned to one of determination as he allowed the illusion to fade and his eyes went to Aryn.

"Well, what are we waiting for?"

Levi began to glow, pushing his Qi out of his body at a controlled pace. His eyes closed as he began to visualize a bright light starting in the middle of his chest and slowly filling his body up from the inside. The glow slowly began to fade as his body began to illuminate, the glow certainly not gone, but more like his body was a light bulb. After a few minutes, Levi felt he had reached a safe level as he opened his eyes to find his ability to take in the world around him less burdensome and his body exceptionally light and responsive. Levi smiled as he scanned his surroundings and moved his arms.

"Amazing......"

Though elated, Levi could already feel the strain on his body growing as he performed several katas with his new capacity, spheres of light adding strikes to the combinations as they swiftly orbited his body. This power was certainly a gift to behold, though his control of it was far from perfect as he made sure to monitor his condition, knowing that he would need to stop soon. He looked to his master and then his fellow apprentice.

"The difference isn't huge when unfocused like this.....but I feel like if I put it all into one aspect, it could be the difference between life and death.....though given the strain on my body now.....it would be unsafe for any real amount of time."

"The strain gets worse the more power you focus into it. I dont want either of you using more than the lowest form of it until you feel you know what your doing. It's too dangerous. For yourselves and those around you."
