The full force (Request)

OOC: Laying claim to the unoccupied territory to the west of Deorc Veritas stronghold located at Leiment park. The territory in question is Culver city this territory will encompass the territory between Leiment park and Culver City, it is my interpretation that Ledera heights and Baldwin comes under Culver City.

IC:

Once again Jack had organized a fake operation to secure several key buildings within the Culver City region, these would be used as a base of operation for a "client", the other two would be given to Jack O'Connor and another unnamed party.

The other unnamed party would be his Deorc Veritas base of operations, while the main building would be a sort of community center for the new client. Who at this point was an unknown person to all but several close associates.

"Conrad, gather the forces and be ready to set off on my command" Jack read once again over the detailed battle plan. Sighing as he raised his hand to the bottle of expensive whiskey, pouring a glass eyes locked onto the brown liquid before he drained it.

Jack wasn't the only one that wanted this territory. And with Leon being blind, Aryn's intent was to take the territory as quickly as possible. She had Kazuya with her, at least, as well as four of Leon's men--Chris being one of them. They were currently looking to, or actually were, setting up a base with their provisions. And because it was a joint effort, she didn't think her other Dragon Members were too far away.

One of the stipulations was that they needed to each have their own bases.

Worked for Aryn, even if she couldn't tease and torment Levi~

[Kazuya Hikari]

Kazuya was indeed with Aryn, working quickly but efficiently to set up their base with the other Dragonlings, because that's how he do. He currently had all his equipment on him, his scouter powered up already, except his bandanna was tied around his neck.

Even though he was completely blind, he still struck like a giant friggin' tank though =D

[Levi Kayamei]

Levi walked into the territory Leon had designated for them to take, Dragonlings, Rai and Kyrie with him, his senses mapping the area in terms of Qi signatures. Yep, unfortunately he would have to find a suitable structure for his headquarters with his other five senses. "Fan out, spike your Qi if you find anything and watch for my signal. Kyrie, you're with me." With that he would increase his speed as he quickly scaled a four story building to get a better vantage point and would pursue the direction with the most promise.

20 minutes later.....

Levi approached a three story building that seemed surprisingly free of decay and damage, though he was sure a closer inspection would reveal some loss of structural integrity. He placed his hands on his hips, "Should do...what do you think?"

[Kyrie Blaze]

. o O ( As stated in skype!chat, the PCs that are joining this thread are: Aryn Valcoph, Levi Kayamei, Kyrie Barrial, Raikotsu Sudeki, Kazuya Hikari, and potentially Jackson Tellings (MIA); Both Levi and Aryn's team have a total of 6 people including themselves, and any spare slots are taken by NPCs. In the event that Jackson shows up, -1 NPC from Aryn's team, as his position is temporarily filled by an NPC.

( Time-line wise I am placing this while Kyrie was a member of the Sky Force, for my own records. )

Kyrie nodded, slipping out to duck into Levi's shadow, enabling him to move as quickly as he could without any hindering; though she was confident she could keep up just a few paces behind, she knew finding a location was imperative. Efficiency over joy. When Levi stopped twenty minutes later, the slender blonde phased out of his shadow.

She stepped round to stand next to him, to walk with him.

She tilted her head and considered.

"Worth a closer look, I think." She nodded, moving forwards on quiet feet if Levi gave the affirmative.

Rai would nod at Levi's words and would fan out with Leons men.

With Josh not returning any time soon and my schedule clearing up as I get back into the swing of things. I can't justify postponing this any longer. Thank you Aryn and co for being patient, enjoy your new territory.

So, now that that's all cleared up, let's begin.

IC:

Aryn and her group would come across what looked to be a mostly intact Church. It had fancy arches and faced true North in its bearings. Best of all, it had a brick wall, about 5-feet tall, surrounding three sides. The area seemed to be deserted.

Levi and Kyrie would look down from their vantage point and see... nothing. The streets of Culver City were quiet. Way too quiet. A bit up the block, a ruined highrise stood, crumbling quietly. Most of the glass had been knocked out, and if either of them had sharp eyes, they would notice a figure, hiding in the shadow of a window of about the tenth floor. The figure was aiming something at them, shakily.

Raikotsu and the rest of Levi's dragonlings would fan out, and eventually come to a Hospital. Mostly intact, a bit rough around the edges. Strangely enough, the boards covering the doors were broken through. Actually, it seemed to have been retrofitted into a bunker.

[Aryn Valcoph]

"...Kaz, check it~" She nodded towards the church with a wicked smirk. "Looks abandoned, but would be a good setup. Let's scope it out."

So saying she sidled over, about as stealthily as one that wasn't very well versed enough could...but Aryn didn't normally do too bad. Sleeping clients and tip-toeing around them, after all, had to have some skill if she didn't wake them. She peered around the opening to ensure nobody was hiding behind the wall, a small flame of black floating at her hand.

Cheeky bloody gits would get a surprise if it wasn't really deserted.

[Kazuya Hikari]

"...?"

"Looking" over at Aryn as she nodded at the church, a slight smirk would tug at the corners of his mouth as he would bow his head to her.

"As you wish m'lady..."

Quietly coming up from behind Aryn, surprisebuttsecks he would place his back up against the wall of the opposite side of the doorway she was on, a fireball formed in his hand, as he would use his Qi to detect if there were any heat signatures inside the church. If there were, it was going to get really hot inside... literally. And make it double.

TEAM FIRE. Aryn wears the female uniform.

[Levi Kayamei]

Levi would glare at the figure as he placed a thick barrier of light in front of Kyrie and himself. "Let's go!" Levi would take off at a run, closing the distance to the building as quickly as he could. Assuming they made it safely, Levi would attempt to enter through the front door and wait for Kyrie before taking further action.

[Kyrie Blaze]

The sensation of watching eyes crawled up the blonde's spine, and as her normal habits dictated, she looked around further than just the building Levi had lead them to. Over, up, around--and spotted the figure in the shadows up along the tenth floor of another building.

With Levi springing the shield she sprinted with him, but veered towards the corner of the building closest to their would-be sniper with a "Going up the side." for Levi's note, so she could get in on the adjacent wall. Looking up towards the shadows within the windows, the blonde tipped her head to the side. Then, she lifted her hands, and shadow spun from them, shooting up and sinking into the shadows of the second-story ledge. Allowing her qi to pull her in, the sneaky, wicked tricksy Hobbits would use this method to pull herself up to the tenth floor...though she could probably only do it one floor at a time instead of two, as she had from ground level.

It was too bad she couldn't really use her parkour skills, but it would simply take too long and be too dangerous.

[Raikotsu Sudeki]

Rai saw the hospital and stopped looking around he would signal for the others to be as quiet as possible. Then he pointed for them to go around each side of the building silently as he would walk into the building cautiously honing in on his sense of sound to see if he could hear anything.

[Lucien DeChain]

As Aryn and Kazuya made their way inside the church, Kazuya would notice no heat signatures. It seemed to have been deserted. Three rooms could be seen, one large pair of doors leading to a giant sanctuary, to the left was a common room, and to the right, a library that also held an office.

Levi would come into the first floor to find it deserted, but it seemed to be ransacked. The elevator was offline, but there was a stairwell towards the back of the building.

Kyrie would enter the tenth floor, and would notice a young man, about seventeen, aiming a bow still at their previous position. He yelped and spun around as he noticed the other person in the room, and made to aim the bow at Kyrie's chest.

Raikotsu and Dragonlings would approach the hospital, fanning out to search the perimeter. All entrances and windows had been boarded up and blocked off except for the front doors, and there was no one in sight. An ambulance sat idly in the parking lot near the back, and it looked to be in acceptable condition.

"Niiiice digs. For a church." Aryn nodded, scoping the place out with her black flames hovering not-too far away from her. "Let's get this shit defence-ready, Kaz."

What does Aryn find for that? Pews, perhaps obviously, but there had to be other things of use. So, with that thought in mind, she begins looking and rooting about for useful bits and pieces. She didn't want to board up the windows...so that was out.
