Rai had just left the peace cafe after the getting his new assignment but he would wait for Mathew to exit so that he could talk to him further away from prying ears.

Eventually after everyone else had left Mathew would leave the Peace Cafe himself. Hands shoved deep in to his pockets. A contemplative expression on his face. He was thinking over things that the Demon had told him. To think of the enemy as a Hydra. And to ask who will die first, him or the enemy. He felt he had the solution to the first problem, and he was fairly confident that he had the answer to the question.
Though he was normally sure of himself and the answers he believed himself to know. Just like he was certain that Bastille must never know what he did, or the price he agreed to pay. Mathew offered Rai the smallest of nods as he passed him, but did not break stride. He had his assignment, he assumed that he could handle it.

Rai would catch up to Mathew and walk beside him.
"I first wanted to apologize for not introducing you and Yachiru before today, and when I get back I will introduce you to the other his name is Zax. But I was wanting to know a couple of things before I left if you don't mind my asking."

He grunted in response to Rai's apology. And filed away the name Zax to remember later. Maybe he would pay him a surprise visit. Just to keep him on his toes. He would probably also do something with Yachiru as well. He didn't like having unknown elements. He trusted Levi and Kazuya to determine her worth though. But he still wanted to see it first hand.
"And what did you need to know?"

"While I am away on my task is there any additional training you would like me to undergo, since we probably won't get a whole lot of time for hands on training for a while I figured I'd ask if there is something you would like for me to work on while I am with the Crows."

Mathew stopped and would hold out an arm to stop Rai as he turned to face him. Looking him up and down before raising an eyebrow. A small grin forming as a soft scoff escaped his lips.
"Better question for you. Do you think there is something that you should work on while you are there?"

Rai was stumped for a moment he had never asked himself that before so he would think for a moment.
"I need to become stronger, physically is a given but Mentally as well. What I need to focus on now in this point of my training is my mental prowess."

"Then I would work on that. Meditation is a good start, but it can't really help you that much. I would work on mental exercises. Look at situations and figure out the worst case scenario. What you would do in that scenario. How your enemy will react. Your reaction to that. And their reaction to that."

"Yup. There should always be a way for you to win. Even if you lose. You should still win."
He would let Rai sort that out. But it's what he did, and how he viewed his life. There was no chance that Mathew would not win against Barker. Even if he lost his own life, Mathew was still going to win. He would personally see to that.

"I do not. After using it I returned it to Leon so it can be returned to the clan."
He never had any intention of keeping it, and it's part of the plan was used up. The breastplate of Apollo has yet to reach it's moment. Though that too was something that he did not intend to keep for himself. After all he was neither a Sudeki or Apollo, he already selected the God he wished to be.
"Did you wish to use it? Or were you just checking up on it?"

"I wish to take it for myself. I committed a great shame in taking it from Grave's side but I swore an oath that I would take responsibility for it. So before I head off to the Crows it would appear I need to see Leon."

He said with a small chuckle. It was sad, but he did find Leon's blindness a little funny. Funny in the sense that it didn't happen to him.
"Be careful if you plan to use it though."

Rai nodded he had heard the stories about the headband.
"I will master. With that I guess farewell. I will complete the task you have given me without fail."
If there were nothing else Rai would leave in search of Leon.
