Mako followed in with the new drills, allowing his partner to teach him how to do the technique properly though pain. it was gruel but Mako thought he had the movement down, when they switched Mako had a chance to tak revenge, he never did any of the techniques at fifty percent, always one hundred, never slowing down or giving his partner a chance to breathe like the mistake his partner had made, it was a small weakness, compassion, oh how it sickened Mako, but his parter would learn his lesson. There were no words between them Mako didn't say anything, didn't even introduce himself, just got straight to work on his opponent, there would be a small smirk on his face everytime he made contact though.

Jack called for the third rotation which would mark the fifteen minute mark of their sword drills, including the warm up runs that was twenty to twenty five minutes done of the morning hour. "Come on men, pick up the intensity!"He yelled as if he were a naval officer in the Royal British Navy circa 1700 AD. His voice and presence demanded respect from his men. "Switch partners!"A fourth switch occurred flawlessly, many of them were showing signs of fatigue. Jack began inspect them closely now, usually his presence unnerved people. "Keep that sword up! Stick to the drill recruit! Overhead, vertical, slant and lunge!" Jack repeated it several times. [/ul]

Mako did as he was told, but how long was jack planning on keeping this up? It really didn't matter. Mako would be there as long as he to gain what he wanted to. There was a blazing inferno within his eyes, a passion that could not be silenced. Mako loved fighting, and any chance he could get to learn more about fighting, or improve his own skills, he took.
Great another switch, now it was his turn to be hit, he parried as instructed, a little shaky on the techniques but he was learning. Switch My turn! Overhead...then slant...then vertical...*grunt* Mako must have missed his opponent by nearly half an inch for his lunge.

Their breaks grew shorter and the speed at which they had to complete the drills increased from round to round. Jack's attitude was beginning to get fired up. Soon he would begin to pick people off and for every hit he landed he would make them do push ups. It wasn't fair at all but it would harden them up. "Faster lads! Or do I have to beat it into you."He stepped right up next to a new recruit and began screaming into his face while he was mid drill "Because when I say fast I mean fast. I want you to do this drill in less time than it takes for a virgin maggot like yourself to cum after being touched by a girl for the first time." Moving to the next poor recruit "Even faster than the quick blowjob your mother gave for chump change to put a useless faggot like you through college!"One of the recruits laughed which drew Jack's attention instantly. "Something funny boy? Does the idea of other men having sex with other men excite you recruit?" His blood was up and all he saw was red, he wanted to fight now. "NO!" At hearing his response his three senior soldiers all moved around the recruit it was time to make him cry. First Francis joined in pushing the recruits partner out of the way. "NO? No what?"Yelled Conrad glaring right at the recruit. "No sir!"Answered Francis. Filling in for the recruit to answer the rhetorical question. Peter now joined in on grilling the recruit. "Last time I checked the commander here was an officer! Do you or do you not know that Commander O'Connor is an officer, recruit?""Yes captain, Commander O'Connor is an officer!"And there we have it!"Kicking his legs out from under him Conrad began to yell at him to give him push ups. Jack signaled for the drill to continue. There was always one and this time this recruit had been sacrificed to prove a point to all the recruits. Mercenaries they were but there was a chain of command and that was law. "Switch"[/ul]

Bahahahaha! oh that kid had it coming! oh the look on his face! oh my god thats just TOO funny!!! bahahahhahaha!
Mako just continued on with his drills somehow managing to keep a perfectly straight face the entire time, never looking a what happened, just at his opponent. Mako may have been physically fatigued, but his concentration was on his opponent the entire time. Duck. Weave. Jab. Uppercut. Back and forth, except if anyone was watching they could tell that Mako was always throwing punches a different way each time, switching hands on occasion, perhaps putting in the uppercut before the jab, just to keep his opponent off guard. His concentration never breaking. Some of the hits were getting dangerously close, and unfortunately Mako was pushing himself, which means he wasn't watching how hard or fast his punches were.

Jack yelled as he gave the command for everyone to take a rest and drink some water. Maybe even stretch or sit down and get off their feet. "Take five or ten, next is evaluations! Some assistants had come over and set up a fold out table and chairs. This would be the assessment group. Once a week Jack and his four senior soldiers, the two captains and his wolf guard. Would evaluate each group. Only Jack would evaluate Invictus but for the recruits he had them help out and evaluate. [/ul]

Mako stood up straight and relaxed his muscles for the first couple minutes, shaking out the sore and just getting loose, Then he walked over to an open area and started practicing again, Sitting on his ass would have felt good, but there's only one way to get better...

Jack called out. His line was always the shortest or even sometimes empty. The first time everyone always tried to get into his group but after the beatings they saw him dish out they quickly opted for the captains. [/ul]

Mako was always one for a good challenge, doesn't matter how hopeless because you can always learn SOMETHING about your opponent, He quickly filed into jack's line, not looking at any of the other recruits, not caring what they thought of him being 'suicidal' for joining jack's line.

The commander asked as he smirked, his eyes burning with deep intent. When Jack had his own master he found himself regularly on the other end of the sword. Where Mako is. But Jack never for a moment hated his master, in fact the more his master beat him the more he felt affectionate toward him. Because Jack grew stronger! He felt it when he killed his opponent, he felt it when they spared and he landed his first strike on his master, he felt it when he stood there beside him as conquerors in the Green army. Once Mako answered if at all Jack let out a war cry and rushed forward, raising his twin swords Jack lunged out with one aimed to stab Mako in the chest. With his other one he followed it up as he withdrew his left sword. Swinging the sword around he brought it around in a horizontal slash and spun on the spot so he performed a spinning back slash with his left. If Mako was still standing Jack launched out a left push kick to potentially finish the boy off. [/ul]

PAIN.
The only thing mako could feel at this point, this was training, but it was also to prove a point, a point the Jack was superior and was worth training under, Mako realized this. Jack proved his point very well.
"Show me." would be his only response to which shortly thereafter jack would let out the howling warcry of a man who knew what he was fighting for, what he believed in, and the purpose behind it all. An inspiring individual to say the least.
As the last push kick and finishing move came at him mako would attempt to parry with his blade but to no avail, he would fall, his body aching and bruised severely from the fight. ...if you could even call it a fight.

Francis gave Jack a salute and then returned back to training the new recruits. When Mako came to he would be in the infirmity several other recruits sleeping peacefully beside him. His head a little foggy from the pain medication but otherwise tired and bruised. [/ul]
