He would watch her pace a fair distance away, and approximately halfway back before turning away once more, stretching the distance. She let him have his moment, and simply hoped she would not be subjected to another encounter in her sleep. What he had seen had been bad enough in some respects, just as what she had seen from him was...
...certainly way too much information. She didn't know if she could look at him straight, right now.
Her pacing took her to the corner edge of the building nearest to where he sat, but still far enough away that she had room to breathe, to take a moment for herself, because she needed to calm down. It helped to focus her mind on a peculiar thing, to sort the sounds and pronunciation out.
" Je n'avais pas l'intention de parler avec quelqu'un à propos du rêve..." On light feet she hopped up and settled herself in one motion, one foot flat against her perch, her right hanging over the edge. "Landyehasahd...byc yjal juic."
She spoke slowly. Translating that wasn't the easiest. Perhaps if she were smug upon working to combine them, she would have smirked. But she stared down into the dizzying abyss below, and quietly contemplated as she dragged her gaze over the devastated ruins she could really only see outlines to. As of yet, she didn't wrap her arms around her bent leg. She had gained space, and so far wasn't going anywhere, fast. Ponderously, she held her hand out, palm down, feeling the drafts.
She didn't want to think of the dreams, but they would not be ignored.

David frowned. Why was she...?
"I know you wouldn't tell someone, usually, but i still needed to make it clear. Also, pozvolyayet ne imeyut Penisu sokutei Luhdacd nekrd huf, Tout va bien? Il est temps et lieu."
David would stand and take a deep breath.
"Alright. We won't be solving this tonight anyway. And you don't seem like you are much in the mood to chat about it. So i'll ask about something else I am curious of- how are things with the Dragons? Gimme the lowdown- Is mathew moving them? Gathering more territory? Or what?"

Kiyr could piece together most of that. Not all, but...most. It was made infinitely easier with the clearly heard word, and she continued staring away.
"Oui ryja dra ytjyhdyka, twofold." She responded in kind, yielding, and not feeling that she had to explain how. Although... "Ed n'est pas ih luhdacd."
Kiyr spread her fingers wide, still hovering her hand over the edge before setting it on the space right next to where she was sitting on and leaning over, slowly, studying the drop. Appreciating the height and the sense of distance. It would be a very long, fatal drop, of course. She found she wasn't concerned. She glanced to her hand, her gloves, and stretched her fingers against the cool stone, connecting shadows like webbing between her fingers.
The shift in topic was welcome.
"He assembled a meeting not long ago. We have new tasks. Levi and Kazuya are running Barker Territory pats, Aryn was assigned to negotiations in the North, Raikotsu...as been assigned as the liaison to the Crows. ...and I am overseeing my Grove Project, among other things."
She fully intended on returning to her regular duties. Her leg was, while not fully healed in the deep tissue, well enough to throw herself wholeheartedly back into it. She needed other things to occupy her mind.

David nodded.
"Sounds like he know what hes doing. And what, exactly, is this grove project?"
He hooked his arms around his knees, watching her.

"You all do." She stated, ambiguously, but honestly.
Finally, she turned her face from the sky and city and drop below, glancing to him, and then away.
'A legacy.' She paused. The blonde didn't want to say that, though it was true. Even if she never did get to see even this set of plants come to full bloom with vegetables and even fruit if she found the seeds she would need, she would leave them behind for the family she held close to her heart though she herself remained at a distance.
"...something I started on, the day after my resignation."
And punishments.
He was still an Elder. She glanced back once again, measuring him quietly. Deciding and trying to choose...and this time, choose right. It didn't matter that he'd resigned; she knew there was no way he would ever truly cease being a Dragon. Some pretty words, even despite the purpose behind them, would not erase was lived deep inside of him.
"Gardens. Sustainable food sources for the Dragons, primarily. Perhaps in time, for others."
She turned to cast her gaze back to the dark sea of rubble, and further out, the ocean. Perhaps she was waiting, or perhaps she thought that was enough.

David grunted, playing with a fingernail.
"Maybe. He seems to get things moving, though."
He smiled, despite himself.
"He inspires loyalty, and strength too. Thats good. He'll be a good leader if i.. Well, he'll be a good leader is all."
He would stand, and walk over to Kiyr.
"I can take you home now, if you want to leave."

Kiyr's eyes flickered but didn't stray from where she pointed them, though her shoulders straightened and stiffened slightly at his words. Loss.
More loss wasn't something she could deal with.
Her heart drilled a protest in her chest, and once his footsteps neared, she turned her head back.
"...I like it, up here." She admitted, voice soft. The temptation to turn away was strong. And internally, knowing the dreams had been real, vivid memories, made her doubly wary and resistant to climbing back on. "...perhaps instead, I could show you the first Grove."
She drew her dangling leg up, and pushed to her feet with a soft exhale. Her toes curled over the edge in her shoes that enabled them free and individual movement. She faced David and the roof, watching him from eyes she had finally managed to cool.

He paused as she turned around bringing up a hand to a scratch the back of his head as she said she liked it up there. He gave a little nod.
"Okay."
He kept his voice soft, even, to show it was her choice but in a kind way that wasn't sarcastic in any way. He watched her as she turned around and faced him, a little surpised by her turning around. As she suggested she show him the grove, he thought a moment. He didn't know if he should get involved but...he really wanted to.
"Yeah, that sounds good. Shall I take us there?"

It would be his, was made partly for him. Partly for Mathew. Partly for the rest of the Dragons. She'd had much to apologize for. She wasn't finished, but she also wanted to share. Just in case. She trusted them to be strong where her family had been weak. Her family was still strong, in her mind, just in a much different way than the Dragons and Mathew and David and Leon.
She was silent a moment, staring.
There was a glint to her eyes. Almost a smile.
She spoke, one word only:
"Follow."
She bent her knees and sprang in a backflip, twisting her body around to dive straight down for the ground; the movement precise and fearless and calculated. As she cleared the edge and provided David was too shocked to do anything, tendrils of shadow curved around her, forming thick, fabric-like flaps that extended from her arms to her hips. Another connected her legs together. She straightened her limbs to keep tension and the air caught the makeshift wingsuit of shadow, shooting her away from the building.
Perhaps she would never fly with a Sky Force jacket. Perhaps she would only fly with him, or 'another'...but that didn't mean she couldn't be creative. And if there was one thing she was good at, it was ideas. The height of the skyscraper had given her the opportunity. Laughter bubbled in her throat as her limbs and qi took the strain, and she carefully tilted and tipped her body, angling her flight through the skyscrapers.
Leading him on.

David stuck out his hand to stop her in shock, running forward to the edge her would stare as she sprouted shadow wings, laughter bubbling up to him as a grin broke on his face.
"No...way!"
He laughed, before leaping over the edge and cracking into the air, following after her with a little spunk. He laughed, and let out a loud "WOO" after her, sweeping in along side her and watching her. He had no idea...there was not even a hint she could do hat. Not only was this the biggest turn on in his life amazing, it was completely unexpected.
He wanted to say something, but chose to just enjoy it, letting her take the lead. He was in such shock... He didn't know what he would say, anyway.

Yes. Way.
The crack in the air as David veritably exploded from the roof after her, and with a quick, check using the glass from another of the buildings, Kyrie settled into her flight, getting a handle on how to achieve this type of flight. Where the Sky Force jacket had enabled her to fly and direct her own path, she had to use her limbs as rudders, now. But it worked.
Moments after David pulled in and even with her, she glanced at him and banked gently to allot herself some more space, and then ducked her limbs in for a mid-air tumble, the velocity she was traveling at letting her stay aloft without dropping too much. She straightened and righted her body, limbs being flung out so she could catch and stabilize herself once again. Her bangs were blown back by the slight lapse and then gust, banking around the corner of one of the last tall buildings, streaking towards the location she had chosen.
She tried to gauge if she had enough height to make it...but for now, it didn't matter. She arced to the side, and then the other, not minding that her eyes were tearing up from the speed. She squinted somewhat, instead, because she didn't want to over-strain herself for this qi maneuver and wind up plummeting. As it was, she wasn't entirely sure her qi would last through the first initial snap.

David laughed, shooting around a building to come in along side her again, this time bumping into her wind zone, so she would feel a large flair in her updraft- just mesin' with her, teasin her. He spoke, finally, his voice sounding as though there was no wind at all.
"When did you learn this?"
He would barrel role over her so he would be on her other side- he was haply, regardless of her answer. In truth, he never wanted to take that jacket from her, never wanted to rob her of flight. Once you tasted it... Well, there was nothing like it. It was almost addictive. The kind of freedom it gave you in a world where you aren't free?
Simply intoxicating.

The sudden shift in the air from the upwards draft had her drawing a sharp breath in as she wobbled; she compensated by adjusting the angle of her arms and legs so she gained altitude with a look of quiet concentration before exhaling with a whoosh. The fact that his voice sounded in her ears clear as day despite the insane speed they were traveling at was something else.
"...about...half a minute ago." She said neutrally, "Though I have been working on the idea a little longer."
...but only a little.
Her eyes flickered to watch and trace his path. Though he could catch her if she fell, she didn't want the opportunity to fall to present itself. Her eyes turned forwards once more, trying to pick out where they were so she could more easily navigate to the two-tiered building. At a distance, she saw it, and eased in that direction with slow sweeps through the air. She couldn't quite lean into the wind right now, but this...
...this worked, for her.

David stumbled mid flight.
"You...DIDN'T TEST IT?"
He would pull up behind her, following toward a building she was heading for. He would follow her to wherever she landed, helping to manipulate the air so she could land easier. He would set his feet down and start in.
"What the hell was that? What if it didn't work? Why would you try something like that if you weren't sure? That was stupid- you don't jump unless you know! You could have died..."
He ran his fingers through his hair, walking a short ways before letting out a breath.
"It was...Awesome... BUT STUPID."

With David's mid-air stumble, Kiyr could do nothing but move how the wingsuit in the air deigned: rocketing forward. She tried to adjust by slightly lengthening the fabric, but that only caused it to become more unstable. She snapped it back to the original length it had been and frowned. Deeply.
Well this was going to hurt.
She tried to angle her body and the suit upwards as much as she could, creating drag to slow her flight, teeth grit together. She was, however, very thankful for the wind she could actually feel swirling around to slow her momentum. Then suddenly--CRACK--the flaps disappeared, snapping against her body as her qi was rapidly reformed, a parachute of sorts snapping her back in the air!
"Uhn!"
It disappeared with the strain and Kiyr quickly reformed before she could drop and squash the plants below...or herself. Or before she overshot the building. Thankfully, this time when the chute unfurled, it stayed. Her feet touched the edge of the third floor and she stepped forwards, the shadow disappearing as the blonde stood on shaky legs that were held slightly wider than normal. Adrenaline set her on a high, and it was almost too difficult to move. She breathed a long sigh of relief, though her ears were listening to David's rambling. She wanted to drop to a knee, but somehow managed to keep herself on her feet.
"...there was no safer time to test, to be honest." A concept she'd thought of doing on the fly, though the wingsuits themselves were not new. It worked--which was such a rush, but he was also right. Now, as it was her choice, she sank to a knee and brushed her fingers against the plants that were slowly growing. These ones were about four or so inches from the ground, planted in their pretty little straight rows. She continued, her voice soft, her attention upon the plants beneath David. "I would not have attempted it in daylight, and I would not have dreamed of doing it without a reliably strong air manipulator. Thank you, however, for your aid at the end."
Self-Conclusion wasn't something she believed in. In battle was one thing, but...
If David cared to look, he would see rows upon rows of sprouting plants along this terrace that was about fourty feet long and twenty-five wide. Kiyr gently plunged her fingers into the loam to hide their shaking, pleased to find that she was right; the soil would stay moist because of the composition, and the mineral and organic content was so high it was, literally, astonishing.
