Right Step (Open)

He stepped lightly over the body of a Man, his bloody knuckles shining for the force of his punch. He crouched by the body, tearing part of his blue sweater to reveal the barker uniform underneath. He growled. More spies. He wondered if maybe these civilian barkerians were infiltrating the other gangs as well, and assumed in must be so. Likely for gathering intelligence but useful nonetheless. He would take a folded paper from his pocket and look it over briefly.

The paper indicated his brother had passed through the checkpoint a few hours earlier, but was on vehicle to a destination unknown. Dammit- he had been so close. He would stand and walk back over to his pack, stuffing the paper in a side pocket as he hoisted it onto his back, readjusting his blade so it stuck up over his right shoulder.

He knew, soon enough, that someone would cross paths with him- with the twelve bodies cast about behind him, lifeless, along with the amount of noise he had made...well, it was only a matter of time.

Levi was on his daily run as he picked up the commotion, though not audibly. One, two, five....twelve!? David was killing a lot of people, signatures he had deemed unknown, he would have to investigate. His pace quickened to full speed, at one point moving quickly to the rooftops to avoid obstacles. Levi did not know the Storm Dragon well, he only knew that he had disbanded from the Dragons, not that he wasn't welcome, but for him to be killing people, it rose questions in Levi's head, Surely, this is nothing to worry about....

Levi arrived quickly, standing on the edge of a nearby rooftop, looking straight down at the massacre. Indeed, tweleve bodies lay slain around the Storm Dragon, obviously the work of a sword given the blood patterns and the sword resting on David's shoulder. Levi floated down on tiles of light under each foot and saluted after landing, "Greetings Storm Dragon......." Levi paused as he caught a glimpse of the Barker uniform on a nearby body. Levi's brow furrowed slightly as a tinge of frustration welled up inside him as he was forced to accept the fact that Barker was able to sneak spies in under his "radar" Were they new to the territory and he simply missed it? Or Perhaps they were already here when he arrived. Either way, the discovery served to sour his mood slightly. Levi's walked over to one of the bodies, crouching down as he examined the Barker soldier, admiring the peerless cut made by David's sword, grateful that he was not a spy, "Spies....Any idea what they were doing here?"

Davids eyes went up to where levi would emerge from, a moment or two before Levi emerged from it. Of course, he wasn't sure it would be the man, but he knew he was coming. Felt the vibrations in the air. As it proved to be an ally, he let tension out of his legs, crouching near another body and letting out a breath.

"Yes... Me and Kiyr killed twenty of these a while back, with a hundred of the core. More and more are filtering in every day, dressed as commoners. They said they were let loose to destabilize the reigon, gather information and in some cases..."

He turned his eyes up to the man, taking his hands away from checking the fellows pockets for more information about his brother.

"....assassinations, as was the case with Ms. Barrial, though I doubt she knows it."

He stepped across the mans form, letting out a sound of confusion. Bending down, he pulled the collar away, revealing the number 13. He frowned, looking up as a man burst from the doorway, knife in hand, aiming to grab Levi by the back of the shirt and hold the blade to his throat.

"Put down your blade Storm Dragon- netting you will get me a fucking medal!"

The spy was quick and Levi was lucky his senses had picked up the spy behind him before he came through the door to give him the extra time he needed to react, though just barely. "hm!" As the spy made the grab for the back of his shirt, Levi's fist would clench as the light around the man's arm solidified, the trap sprung and attempting to capture his assailant's arm. If successful, Levi's hand would drop, pulling his trap downwards and hopefully the man with it as he stood up, his right foot flying up and backwards to meet the man's face, the trap shattering after the attack to allow his opponent to fly away or at least fall somewhat off balance assuming it and the kick had done their job.

The man cried out as he was blown backward. David lurched forward to attack the man as well- however,the fellow, sensing he was about to be double teamed, turned tail and ran. David smirked. Should be easy enough for them to-

Then the man divided by zero.

He seemed to flicker, like a hologram. He did it twice before he split into seven different people, all of them taking off in different directions. David stopped, letting out a curse. The guy was an illusion Qi user. He wouldn't bother wasting time chasing him- the fellow was gone. David would turn to Levi.

"He had a 13 tattooed on his body, as did his friends. Might wanna get that word out."

He would step back over to the other bodies, crouching as he rummaged through the leaders pockets. He would pull out a piece of paper, reading a small note before handing it to Levi.

"I think they marked a target."

On the list was four names.

Kiyr Barrial.

Kazuya Hikari

Aryn Valcoph

Kiyr's name was circled in red.

Levi continued to track the spy with his senses, able to differentiate the illusions from the source as the ki signature was much stronger from the spy himself (Assuming my Wis vs his Cha). Levi waited to project the spies destination before chasing, and as he began to move David handed him the list. He took it as he continued to walk, but only got a few steps before seeing Kyrie's name circled in red and his legs seized up. His eyes widened and his heart almost hurt as it sped up as his body began to perspire slightly. His feelings for her were mostly his own, though he was certain she had gotten the message, these feelings certainly helped to exasperate the Mirage Dragon.

All Dragonlings....but why her first? We can't waste time...

Levi took a few quiet, but deep breaths to calm himself his eyes meeting David's fiercely, "We need to go to her, now." Levi "scanned" the region, surely he would have felt something happen if it was her, but like all other senses, some attention had to be paid to them if one did not want to miss anything. Please be okay.....

OOC: I'll let you determine what I detect, if anything.

Levi would notice that of the seven, one of the men felt red hot- the man had been sprinting east, toward Barker territory.

David, coming to his feet, would take a deep breath as he glanced around the bodies, the sun in the sky touching the edge of the city as it began to set. He would look to Levi as the man seemed to grow rigid when he saw Kiyr's name. He smiled, despite himself. He had suspicions, especially following the dreams, and the look on Levi's face being one of fear told him everything. He wouldn't mention it, however, opting to take the less awkward route.

"I agree. Let's head northwest, toward the Peace Cafe, and see if we can't find her."

If Levi was stretching his ability to attempt to trace Kiyr's Qi signature, he would find that two miles north of Dragon territory, about six miles from where they were and deep into the neutral zone, two Qi's that felt like Kiyr's, exactly alike and right next to each other. And they seemed to be flaring in an out.

Levi wasn't happy about having to let the spy go, but there were certainly more pressing matters. Levi turned towards the neutral territories, studying the Qi signiatures as much as he could, "She's about two miles north of our territory, but I'm detecting two identical signatures and if I had to guess, they're fighting." Levi made a thin platform of light beneath his feet and quickly ascended above the rooftops and waited for David to do the same. When David reached him, a long handle with a cross bar extended up and out from the platform for the Strom Dragon to grab onto, Levi's metallic eyes shifting to David, appearing orange as they caught the setting evening sun, "You're easily the fastest one among us..... a faint smile grew to Levi's face, the situation making a laugh completely out of the question, "...as long as you don't mind towing me."

David would stick his hands in his pockets before floating up next to Levi, glancing over at him as a bar stuck out in front of him. He would take a deep breath before putting his duffle over his shoulder and across his chest, like a satchel. He adjusted his blade accordingly before looking one more time at the men next to him.

"Alright. Your call."

His left hand would reach out and plant firmly on the bar before they would rocket away, off toward the battling signs of Kiyrs form.

Levi bent his knees and struggled to maintain his balance at first, amazed by the Storm Dragon's speed, but he did not fall and he would not waver until he knew Kyrie was safe. He would continue to monitor the two Kyrie's as they rapidly approached, his hope being that nothing had seriously happened to the Shadow Dragon.
