It wasn't a positively nice day for Elora, for she couldn't interest herself into doing much. Clean her room? No, Justin would probably give some irritating comments on that, like probably 'That's good. Clean up your room like a little good girl should!' and Elora certainly could not stand being called a little girl by the idiot who wasn't even related to her and wasn't even old enough to call her little! The dope. He got on Elora's nerves. So maybe just sit down and watch some western shows on the television? Matter of fact it was a good idea, except the fact that Justin was watching his reality shows on the television when Elora made haste to go see if any good westerns were on. And sadly, Elora knew of Justin's addiction to reality shows. With a sigh, Elora threw on her black and white tennis shoes and a green jean jacket over her top, stretching anxiously, she called to Justin who was sitting in the living room.
"I'm going out." She said, quietly, not to interrupt him too much in the middle of his favorite show, Survivor. He replied like his usual carefree, stupid self which wasn't even paying full attention to Elora's words saying, "Okay, be back by seven for dinner."
"You mean your actually going to cook, Justin?" Elora was surprised, speaking with her british accent, excitement on her tongue. Justin actually took some of his 'precious' time to look over his shoulder at the girl, but surprisement was not in his eyes, ne. Astonishment! "What?! Me? Cook?! No way, I mean you have to be back by seven so you can cook dinner, I don't want to eat late!"
Ah. Like the usual Justin. Elora buttoned the first three buttons on her jacket and sighed, "Like the usual Justin. - alright, have fun." Opening the door, she steped out of the apartment room, into the lobby and then out of the building.
Slipping her hands into her pockets, she decided to just walk along the sidewalk in the beautiful city hours. But it was quite...wretched...
A man frying wieners at a little hot dog stand spotted the unusually tall British girl and asked, "Can I interest you in a frank, miss?"
"Um...no." Elora gave a simple answer as she kept on walking. She didn't really like meat anyways, and then a woman pushing along an Ice cream cart with children parading behind her which she had finally stopped to please, seeing Elora walk by in her boring state the woman made haste to captivate another customer with her creamy treats, "Would you like an ice cream, young lady?"
Same ol', though, Elora wasn't in the mood for food. "No thank you." She replied, shoving her way through the group of little children with their bluebacks out. Elora stopped at a little bus stop, a nice glass seating area was arranged for those waiting for the bus and there was a little shelf inside the roofed setting which held little maps of where a bus might stop and then tourist attractions. Elora took one of them and continued walking, then stopped on the sidewalk to lookover the piece of paper more carefully, her eyes not being able to focus too well on the sheet when she was moving. Unintentionally though, Elora had stopped by a cab parked at the sidewalk, the driver saw her looking over a map and immediatley assumed she was going somewhere! Good gracious!
"Can I offer you a ride, miss? Going somewhere?"
Elora looked over the man, blinked twice and realized she was standing near a taxi-cab, and shook her head repetively. "No thank you! I'm actually just...around the corner...thank you for ...yes..." She squeezed the map and ran up the sidewalk a bit, turning into a building with glass doors a moment later and throwing herself into a chair nearby the entrance. Slowly it came to her notice that she was in a library and one of the ladies, staff, who had seen her come inside approached her and asked, "Can I interest you in some books, Miss?"
"Good gracious...no! Okay?" Elora had had her share of saying no today, but good gracious! Everyone was bothering her, ah...the nice smelly smells of a library were making her quite relaxed though as the librarian walked away.
