OOC: Destiny posts first.
Davids eyes looked over the new armaments, appraising the stonework of the Earth Dragon. He had to hand it to the guy- he was good at building walls, even if they couldn't be manned one hundred percent of the time. He crossed through the gate, nodding at the Dragon Core who shut it behind him. He stuck his hands in his pockets, lazily looking about at the countryside he hadn't seen in a week or two. It was growing, set along the path he had put under its feet. Watered and extended by Amtrum and Sudeki.
Passing by several taller buildings that were still under construction, as well as a few apartment complexes, he would give smiles and nods to civilians who would wave or approach to say hello. None of them knew that he was currently on hiatus, or that he had stepped down from his role in the resistance to pursue his brother. He wouldn't turn them aside because of a lack of that knowledge. He kissed the top of a babys head, tossled the hair of a ten year old and continued on his way.
Altogether, a rather decent experience. Sun was up and shining hot, people seemed happy.
He was glad. Everything was proceeding...splendidly.

Such a display of obvious importance drew Cain in like a beacon. He stepped swiftly around those in his way, following the man from a comfortable distance at first, not necessarily stalking him, but continuing to observe him, regardless.
However, he remembered far too well the last time he'd been attempting to covertly observe someone, and decided that making his presence known sooner rather than later would likely result in less pain for himself.
"Hey!"
Cain called out towards David, quickening his pace in order to close the distance between them.
"I take it you're well known around here."

David turned at the calling out, a look of curiosity on his face as he noticed the male stepping forward. Eyes would flit over Cain's sash, before returning to his eyes. He knew at some point, fresh faces would appear in the core and he wouldn't be around to see them. Such was the way of an army- you couldn't watch everyone all of the time.
He gave a chuckle, not because of Cain's lack of knowledge, just at his forward statement.
"I suppose."
He would stick out his hand for a shake.
"David Blaze, Storm Dragon. You are...?"

'Rather well known' was a good understatement, in a particular blonde's opinion. She rolled her shoulders with a black plastic bag slung over her shoulder. She wasn't exactly in plain sight, but nor was she hiding. The blonde was actually going around collecting - of all things, perhaps - compostable materials. She imagined she'd be back to collect another bag, at least.
But later.
She twisted lightly, dislodging the bag to pause by some of the civilians, quietly asking if they had any other waste she could use, that they didn't necessarily need. But her peripheral vision was dedicated to Cain and the Storm Dragon.

A small smile grew across Cain's face. Here was the second Dragon he'd met, and he was already interested in finding out the differences between the two.
"Cain Valerian. I'm... new to this area."
It was the best way he could think to put it. Cain lifted his own hand, giving a friendly, if extremely short, shake. The Earth Dragon's power had fit his title, but Cain was still vague on the nature of David's.
"So you have an ability then?"
The curiousity was plain to hear in his voice.

He gave the hand a similar shake, a short nod following the fellows name.
"I figured- you have the look of a newbie. I take it your induction was recent?"
And by that, he meant the kid didn't really have the battle-hardened form, nor did it appear he had even been given duties. As Cain asked if he had an ability, he returned his hand to his pocket.
"I do, as do most people. Have you found yours yet or no?"

"Pretty recent. I've had the misfortune to fight Mathew twice, now. Or honor, depending on who you ask."
Cain nodded. He wasn't used to these people who were so much stronger than him. At least, for now.
"I did not know it was so common... I suppose I came to the right place. I was told the Dragons are a great place to get stronger, after all."

Davids eyebrows rose a little.
"I'd say it was probably a bit of both, but I don't know how strong you are. Though...i'm a little curious. You were picked by Mathew, then, to join?"
If Cain gave the affirmative, he would make an appraising noise before looking around himself. Noticing a side street that led to and empty parking lot, David would wave th man forward to follow. He would start walking for it, turning as he reached the middle of the lot to turn back and face him, cracking his neck.
"Alright then, since i'm curious of why Matt picked you and you're looking to get stronger- lets fight."

Kiyr smiled, opening the bag so the people she had just been talking to could add to her collection. Not the most glamorous of duties, but, it was necessary for her project. With a quiet but gratuitous "Thank you." moved onwards down the street.
Closer to David and Cain.
But her focus was still apparently dedicated to her task, and she continued chatting with others. If Cain and David moved on...well~ Her curiosity may be piqued.
And perhaps she would follow, after a length of time.
She wouldn't turn the corner so much as extend and twist her shadows into one of the larger ones on the side-street, however.

"I was."
Cain nodded. He didn't really figure it was a big deal. He would follow after David, somewhat surprised at how isolated it was. Once David reached the middle and announced his intentions, Cain just chuckled.
"Alright. This should be interesting."
Cain began rolling up his sleeves, up to his elbows. He wondered what sort of differences he'd find between the two Dragons.
Hell, perhaps he should seek out the third, so he could say he'd fought all three of them. It would be a fast way to experience what this group had to offer. He slid his feet apart, making sure there was plenty of distance between himself and David.
"Should I start, or you?"

David unzipped his jacket, revealing the weights (which looked sort of like a bullet proof vest) and black tshirt under it. He would stretch his arms across his chest a bit before letting out a short breath.
Using his left hand, he would wave the man forward lazily.
"You first, haus."
His left foot would slide back a little, maybe five inches, but otherwise his hands would stay at his side.

"As you wish."
Cain would push himself forwards, looking to close the distance with a quick walk rather than a full out run. Once he'd gotten in range, Cain would throw a jab with his left fist towards David's chin. He doubted it'd connect, and even if it did, there would be a lack of damage, but that was to be expected.
He was still in a land of monsters, and it would take time before he was one himself.

David watched the man approach, eyed his new opponents cool and confident demeanor, and how he was obviously not scared or over-eager. He threw a stiff left fist for David's chin. The Storm Dragon stepped in and to the left with his left leg, leaning away from the mans attack only slightly as his own left fist would shoot out for a straight punch for his cheek.
Now, keeping in mind that the fellows fist was likely to retract not a second after his fist missed, David made sure to keep an eye on Cains chest, right where the collarbone terminated into the hollow of the neck, so that if Cain retaliated, his own center would give away his movement.

With his jab dodged, Cain would indeed retract his fist from his jab. Perhaps more importantly, he would also begin turning his body to his left, working with the momentum. This served two purposes.
For one, it would serve to help mitigate David's own punch, which was very important in this case. By turning his head with the blow as well as his body, Cain would take a glancing strike to the cheek. It was the best he could hope for, under the circumstances, since he'd learned fairly quickly that a solid blow from most anyone he'd met so far had the potential to be fight-ending.
The second purpose of the turning body, and perhaps of a more immediate concern to David, would be to fuel the momentum of Cain's right arm, which was lifting upwards towards the Dragon's ribs on his left side in a swift uppercut.

David's hand, however, did not retract, instead moving to the right in an aim to grab a handful of Cains hair behind his right ear. Cains fist would hit his ribs deftly, causing a small grunt to come from his lips before Dave leapt to the right, assuming his grip was in place, and would attempt to hurl the fellow into the side of a building.
It wouldn't break bones or knock the fellow out, but would probably crack the brick a bit and hurt like hell. David would walk over to him and, if he got up quickly, attempt a palm strike to his sternum in an attempt to smash the guy through the wall. If he was still on the ground, David would try to bend and grab him by the front of the shirt to haul him to his feet for a headbutt.
