David stopped as the man kept talking, his fists clenching.
This Karyu was pretentious.
This second personality seemed to have a sense of entitlement, a feeling that he was the better of the two and wanted David to know it. The young Blaze turned his eye to Mitsuki and stared for a moment, trying to decide if he should ignore the fellows threat and move on.
When Karyu spoke again, stating Kazuya would be able to watch next time, that settled it.
His face almost apologized to Mitsuki.
David dropped his weights and turned back, slowly. He would walk over to Karyu before the man would think David was leaving for good or before he went to put on his ankle weights, getting to within a foot of the mans face. He stared into his eyes, regardless of whether he could see or not.
"Let me make something clear, Karyu, to you. I have been in more fights than you or Kazuya could imagine. I've seen lightning sucked down from the sky into five different men, who used it to flay my body. I've fought Earth, Sky, Wind, metal and yes, fire. So many times have I fought, I've literally lost count."
He would move just a little closer.
"I have had the bodies of legends, whose skill and strength surpass what you can dream up, crumpled at my feet. Kazuya and I have always been friends, so the extent of my prowess have never been available to him, as I never wanted to hurt him. But you sitting here, running your mouth as though I have something to prove to you? As though you should be shown some respect and fear? "
Davids body seemed to grow fluid, as though the skin were shifting. The reality was made clear as a dark energy, almost like heat waves only thicker, would roll off his body. He almost whispered the next part.
"Kazuya knows respect, and never has had a reason to fear me. The next time we meet, I will give you that reason, boy, and never again will you want to meet the Storm Dragon in combat."
David would blast a wall of air at Karyu with enough force to send him stumbling backward about ten feet or or seven to ten steps (CHARISMA CHECK), or even take him off his feet if he was not expecting it . David would turn back and grab his things, whether Karyu was talking or not, and rocket into the sky, making it obvious he had neither the time nor the respect for this new individual in Kazuyas mind- in fact, any speech would not so much as reach his ears, as David would manipulate the air so he could hear nothing the man might speak.
