(OOC: David/spectators)
In downtown Los Angeles, near the outskirts of Dragon Territory, Kazuya could be seen dismissing the troops of his division, having finished training for today. Watching them make their way back to Dragon Territory, as usual, Kazuya was fully equipped, his scouter included, covering his nearly blind left eye. He could still see with his left eye, but just barely.
He concluded in a few more days, he would become fully blind, just like Leon. Engulfing both his hands and feet in flames, not through his Qi, but through the ability of his gloves and foot guards, Kazuya would do a bit of extra training, because extra training never hurt anyone, not in this day and age anyways.

David grunted, lifting heartily and walking backward onto the street. His hands were tightly lifting a small car that had driven into a ditch, the owner having lost control when he got a flat tire. Stopping on the side of the road, he set the car down gently, smiling as he shook the owners hand and turned to head back over where his Jacket lie.
He tossed it onto his back (so he would sweat more, from the heat) and started jogging once again, water bottle in hand. He had been able to get some time off from watching Kira and such to head on a little expedition, wanting to make his way to Blaze tower as soon as he could. He wouldn't notice it, but he would pass a side street, down which Kazuya Hikari was apparently training.

If David didn't notice Kazuya as he passed the side street, well he would now. The glow of orange-red light would be clearly visible as it lit up the already bright side street, followed by rapid bursts of flames that were set off like an explosion of fireworks.
As he continued with his training, Kazuya on the other hand, would notice David. As his scouter detected a power level nearby, the statistics flashing on the eyepiece, Kazuya would pause momentarily, glancing around and finding the individual the power level belonged to.
"... Afternoon jog, David?"

He stopped, watching the fireworks display with a grin. Kaz. The guy seemed to be training constantly, growing stronger every day. David was glad- it showed him he did well in selecting people to come aboard early on. He would give a nod to Kazuya as the man stepped forward to ask his question.
"Yup. Still working on getting use to being loaded down so much. How goes the training?"
David was on his thirty second mile of the jog, having been running since about six that morning, having kept an even pace of about six minutes a mile. He wore some shorts and a jacket, along with his weights, which gave him both room to breathe and a solid sweat.

"... Growing stronger every day. Too bad my training couldn't help my vision. In a few more days, I'll be just like Leon."
It didn't take a genius to figure out what he meant. Hell, David would be able to tell from sight alone that Kazuya's right eye was now pupil-less, and his left eye was right behind, his pupil barely visible by this time.
"... Only you would wear full body weights for training, David. But it was your perseverance that made me realize you would be the only ex-School Captain I would ever follow willingly. Just as you persevere, so too, will I persevere in training to fight without relying on my sight, because the day when I no longer can see is nearly upon me."

David watched Kazuyas eyes, giving a nod of familiarity. He was one of the few lucky ones who happened to avoid that fate. He gave a smile as Kaz recounted following him. When David first brought Kaz in, he was young and far weaker than him. Now, they were closer in strength. David scratched the back of his head as he thought a moment.
"Have you considered ticking your body heat for combat? You could use a low amount of energy by radiating a little heat off your body. That heat would have traces of your Qi in it, which might give you a sort of sixth sense, like myself and Mathew. You wouldn't have anywhere near our distance but...it would help in close quarters."
Normally, David wouldn't give advice to any old fighter, especiay one whose strength was already great. But he also considered Kaz a friend, similar to why he trained Mitsuki. In the end he wanted his friends to succeed. And he would help any way he could.

"... I haven't, but not because of lack of trying, but because my Qi is powered by my body heat, as opposed to yours or Mathew's Qi. It's an option to keep in mind, but I can however, do this."
Closing his eyes and walking out of the side street and to a nearby area of flat plains, with David's location now unknown to Kazuya if he moved with him, Kazuya would absorb a small amount of sources of heat surrounding him, which in this case was David's body heat, which would leave the Storm Dragon feeling a little chilled.
"... You know I can control and generate flames, but I can control and absorb heat sources surrounding me, not only decreasing the temperature, but increasing the temperature as well. Once my vision is gone, I can use my ability to determine the locations of my opponents through their body heat... At least, that's my theory. I haven't had a chance to test it though."

David paused, thinking.
"I see. Well, I want to help you find out. Me and you can train a bit together- if you get in a scrap I want you to be able to fight on even terms. Plus I want to test something out- I want to use our abilities in tandem. But first- the training."
Davids body was a little cold, so he wrapped himself in more warm air. He could tell Kaz was starting it. He would step forward a bit and roll a shoulder.
"So, give it a try. Lets see if you can find me, and dodge when I strike. I know it will be hard but, i don't want you fighting back. Only blocks and dodges. See how close to true vision you can get."

"... That works for me. The last time we fought one on one was a long time ago. I appreciate your assistance David."His eyes still closed, Kazuya would focus and concentrate, to try and track David by his body heat and possibly the heat from the warm air he wrapped himself in, while taking up a simple stance, using his other senses, particularly his hearing, as well.

SPECTATORS GON' SPECTATE.
Which was what Mitsuki was doing! She had been wandering around with Skye trotting faithfully beside her, looking for an area where she might be able to find a bit of privacy to just sleep. But... Dragon Territory seemed to have a tight reign on their hold. No matter where she went, she couldn't help but feel...watched. Maaaybe because she didn't have that white hachithingamajigger that would grant her safe pass, but whatevs. SHE DO WHAT SHE WANT. It was interesting, how Kaz was being trained without sight. She sat atop a truck a safe distance away, yet her eyes flashed a brilliant silver- never hurt to be prepared in case flying debris or summat went in her direction, right? Skye sat obediently on the ground, and silently... She watched.

David stepped forward without question and slowly, effortlessly, threw a punch for his chin. It would seem in slow motion, to give him a chance to register it. To picture it in his power and move. Obviously a training blow.
"Come on now. Feel it move through the power, let your Qi form a picture in your head."
OOC: sorry it's short.

Kazuya briefly sensing two more signatures of body heat, before his focus and concentration returned back solely to David's, he would close off everything surrounding him in his environment... except his Qi senses. He would let his Qi flow through him, starting with forming a picture of David's figure in his mind, then the slow trail of body heat of the figure throwing a slow punch, the power radiating off the figure's arm... and his arm would shoot up, his hand barely catching David's fist, the back of his hand pressing up against his chin.
What did you expect, they just started, he wasn't going to be a master instantly. It was as good a start as any, he'd work on his reaction time, because while he was able to instantly react to any attack coming from his right side, his left side still needed work, because he still relied on his sight. That would be what he would work on today, along with fighting without his sight and using his remaining senses, and using only his Qi to track his opponent.

"Alright, nice."
He would say nothing as he retracted his fist, now stepping in a little closer. The hope here was to confuse Kazs' Qi with the amount of heat now surrounding him, with the intent of kinda "blurring" the slow uppercut David would bring in, the young Storm Dragon making assumptions as to how the Qi worked. If it hit, there would be no real pain, as he wasn't trying to cause any. This would also help Kaz get a feel for real combat.

Kazuya remaining silent, to maintain his focus and concentration, would "see" David step in a little closer to him. With David's natural body heat and the blanket of warm air surrounding him blending in with each other, Kazuya would have to try and separate the two into individual sources of heat, and he had a idea of how to do so.
If he was correct, there would be a small temperature difference between David's body heat and the warm air, with David's body heat fluctuating every so often, as the autonomic nervous system worked to keep David's body temperature at a constant 37.5 degrees Celsius. Using his Qi to detect and separate the various temperature layers and picture the slow but fluid upward movement of David's arm, Kazuya would shift his head back, David's fist catching the edge of his chin and left cheek.
He was getting there, his reaction time was improving, but he still had a long way to go.

"Try pulling the heat from around me to redefine my outline. might help you to see which parts are moving."
David would attempt a clinch, hooking both hands behind Kazuyas head, to test his gripping defense when blind. He would attempt to bring up soft knees, that wouldn't really hurt, but Kaz would feel their tap so he knew he was taking hits. Eventually they would throw down, but David wanted it to be fair, and right now it plainly wasn't.
