OOC: Got permission to temporarily control Kazuya's NPCs just for the sake of this prank. :) Californian winters were a dream compared to the horrid ones in Chicago. Back in the windy city, people had to deck out in multiple layers; the streets were nearly always empty save for pedestrians who were briskly walking, coats pulled tight over their bodies toward their destination. People would hastily make their ways from point A to point B because the stabbing breeze was a force to be feared. California, however...was so different. The warmth of the sun provided adequate warmth for the young Asian to pull on much lighter clothes...not that she ever did. But! There was a slight change to her attire! Although the black leather jacket still covered her upper body, there was no kevlar vest/hoodie on underneath; instead, she wore a simple white v-neck tee. Black jeans hugged her lower body, the bottoms folded up to makeshift capris, paired with gray worn down sneakers. Her hair was pulled up into a messy bun, strands of hair falling loose... ..which is what Kaori seemed to be giggling about, as she grabbed at Mitsuki's hair, tugging and playing around. She was over at Kazuya's house, visiting again to play with his daughter. She arrived early in the morning and was informed that he had gone out, probably to do important Dragon related things because that's what Dragons did: important things. Which was more than fine for Mitsuki, because that meant she got to play with Kaori aaalllllll~ by herself! Today's activity consisted of home-made bubble solution! They were outside the house with a relatively large container filled with water and soap. Scattered on the ground lay loops and hoops of all sizes to make bubbles both large and small. Though before they got started, Mitsuki wanted to braid Kaori's hair so it wouldn't fly crazy and get all messy, because the two were bound to get wet with the solution...which is why Kaori was messing around with Mitsuki's hair, because hers was already a mess. "Mm, Kaori, if you don't sit still I won't be able to braid your hair...""Miiitsuki~ Today's April Fools! Fool daddy!" "Hmm?"Oh... Today really was April Fools! Mitsuki quickly finished braiding Kaori's short hair, a puzzled, yet questioning look crossing her face. Mitsuki was never really a prankster, nor did she ever really get pranked herself. Students have tried back when she was on 259, but none of them actually succeeded...but to have the opportunity to prank someone who, from what she noticed, was probably as serious as her... A light smile twitched onto her face as she pat Kaori on the head. "What should we do to your daddy?"Little Kaori whispered in Mitsuki's ear.... At first, she frowned. That was a terrible, terrible prank to play on someone, especially in this post-apocalyptic world. And, knowing how much he loved his daughter... Oh man, Mitsuki could only imagine how she would react if it happened to her-- it wouldn't end well, but... It would be good. Because chances were, Kazuya also knew today was April Fools. Hehe. ______________________ ... a message? DO YOU LIKE GAMES? LET'S PLAY! FOR THE SAKE OF YOUR DAUGHTER AND FRIEND. YOU LIKE THEM ALIVE, RIGHT? The house was in absolute chaos. CHAOS. The area where she and Kaori had previously been looked as if it had been flipped upside down- the solution was spilled all over the pavement, the hoops and other items broken and mangled; something...something that looked like blood smeared across the floors, but was diluted due to the bubble solution that mixed with it. Some within Kazuya's household left immediately to notify him of the...kidnapping? While others moved desperately in and around the house for any sign of disturbances. But there were ... none. Another message would be posted somewhere in the house. C'MON! LET'S PLAY!
TO FIND YOUR DAUGHTER AND YOUR FRIEND, FIRST FIND THE LETTER- 'ELSE YOU'RE AT DEAD END! Where was the letter...? OOC Edit: Word count w/o BBC is 674.

Having finished early morning training with the division he was in command of in The Sky Force, which was the very important business Kazuya had left to do when Mitsuki came over, because he was a Dragon, and that's how they do, he was returning back to his house in the heart of Dragon Territory, when the sound of quick-paced footsteps coming towards him caught his attention, as he would look up and see Shouta Okada and Yuriko Hirano come racing towards him, the two of them looking utterly distraught.
The moment they reached Kazuya, the two of them would begin speaking to him in rapid and clearly panicked Japanese, to which Kazuya would make a cutting action across his throat, telling the both of them to stop talking, calm down, and then try again. The two of them shutting up immediately, they'd both take in deep, calming breathes, before trying again.
"Young master, we have a situation! Mitsuki and Kaori... The both of them were kidnapped!"
"... What!? Mitsuki came over? Never mind that, I placed all of you on duty while I was gone, how could an intruder get in and take both Kaori and Mitsuki!"
"The kidnapper... moved quickly, just as fast as you, and quickly took us out one by one. Young master, the kidnapper left a message in the area the two of them were playing in."
"... Take me there."
Reaching the courtyard outside of his house, Kazuya would stop and stare at the scene before him. Although the remaining members of the Eighth Division that hadn't gone to investigate for signs of disturbances had begun to clean up the house, there was no denying the chaos that had ensued. Shouta and Yuriko immediately leaving after seeing the piercing glare on Kazuya's face as he stared with cold fury at the message, noticing the smear of what appeared to be blood on the floor, bending down, Kazuya would dip his fingers in the solution, and stare at his hand, before clenching it up into a fist.
Straightening up, his face set as hard as flint, he would hear the sounds of footsteps quickly moving towards him, as Koichi Yamamoto came into sight, his younger brother Koji not too far behind.
"Young master...! We found another message from the kidnapper."
Leading Kazuya inside, they would take him to the kitchen, the message clearly displayed on the wall in the living room. Kazuya's eyes narrowing, without a word, he would turn and head off, going through the house to find the letter. As his house was not very big, it didn't take Kazuya very long to find the letter.
Where you ask?
At least the kidnapper has a sense of humor: the room that contained just the toilet and sink. With letter in hand, he begin his search for not just his baby daughter, but someone he considered a close friend... Mitsuki Park.

The letter read: YOU MIGHT FIND YOUR DAUGHTER ON THE SWINGS! OR HANGING FROM IT.
Mitsuki and Kaori had a fun time going from one place to another, posting up the letters for Kazuya to read. Of course, Kaori had no idea just what it was Mitsuki wrote, but to ensure believability, she made it a little...grotesque. She hoped he'd forgive her upon realizing it was a terrible joke- even if Kaori was on her side, she somehow felt like she might have been overstepping a line. That, and she felt terribly sorry for his workers who might be experiencing the wrath of a worried father just because little Kaori asked them to play along. If he went to the park, he would find a second letter: HOW LONG CAN YOU HOLD YOUR BREATH? WHAT ABOUT YOUR DAUGHTER?

Taking off at once to the park he always took Kaori to whenever he had the chance, upon reaching the park and the swings, though he didn't find his baby daughter, he didn't find her hanging from the swings thankfully. How morbid... Picking up the letter he found there, he'd quickly read through it, frowning slightly.
Holding his breath... That clearly pointed to water, but as there were no swimming pools around as far as the eye could see, it could mean either the river running through Dragon Territory, the lake in Dragon Territory itself, or the ocean. He would try the ocean first, as Kaori loved the ocean, and on days he didn't take her to the park, he took her to the ocean, to enjoy the sunshine and the sounds and smells of the ocean waves. The "kidnapper" had a very cruel sense of humor, "kidnapping" his baby daughter on April Fools Day.

Ding, ding, ding! The beach was the correctomundo answer! That was way too fast! Kazuya would hear screaming as he approached the beach, with what sounded like Kaori's voice...
...except it wasn't screaming at all. She was laughing! Mitsuki was tickling little Kaori as she rolled around in the sand, laughing and screaming, asking Mitsuki to stop but in the way where kids didn't really want them to. Not too far off from them would be a freshly built sand castle that didn't really look like a sand castle at all- instead, just looked like a giant pile of sand with a makeshift flag- but Kaori called it her castle, so... And not far from the castle would be a nice, open blanket with a small basket filled with yummy foods- much like a picnic set-up!
How would Kazuya react...?

Reaching the beach in no time flat, Kazuya would run down the beach as fast as he possibly could the moment he heard the sound of his baby daughter's voice screaming, kicking sand up with each step. "Kaori!"He would roar, papa wolf mode on... Only to find it was not screaming at all, but laughing. Standing near the top of a sand dune, hidden by the tall pile of sand, at first, Kazuya would have a puzzled look on his face not just at Kaori rolling around laughing and screaming as she was tickled to death, but also at the pile of sand that was her sand castle, as well as the blanket spread out with a small basket of food, like a picnic of sorts. His puzzled expression slowly turning to a frown, mildly unamused at the worry he was put through, a small smile would tug at the corners of his mouth soon after. He just got punk'd. Hearing soft footsteps come up from behind him, unfazed by the sudden appearance of Takashi, Kazuya would turn his head slightly to look behind at him, and without even saying a word, he'd nod at Kazuya. Carefully moving back down the sand dune, hiding himself from view, he'd remove his ankle weights and hand them to Takashi, who would take them back to Kazuya's house. With everything completed, it was time. "... You shouldn't have left those messages so easy to find."A voice would suddenly speak up gruffly from behind Mitsuki, as she would find a blade held flatly against the back of her neck, a masked figure standing right up against her, his face mere inches from her ear. At first Kaori was genuinely frightened, but the moment the ninja warrior subtly winked at her, though she would continue to appear frightened, she knew who the ninja was right away.

Upon feeling the blade pressed upon her neck, Mitsuki's smile dropped, laugh abruptly stopped- this guy was too close for comfort. The gruff voice was unrecognizable, and the speed at which this man moved was alarming. She wondered if his speed and her lack of foresight was because she was having too much fun with Kazuya's daughter, or if it really was because he was just too damn fast. Her eyes would lock on Kaori's, an eyebrow arching as if Mitsuki herself were trying to ease the girl's nerves, not knowing it was her father.
"...Kaori, can you take a couple steps back?"
Her eyes flashed a brilliant silver. If Kazuya didn't reveal himself soon, sparks would fly.
Literally.

As Kaori began to take a couple steps back still appearing as if she was scared after making eye contact with Mitsuki, even though she knew the identity of the ninja, Mitsuki would feel the cool steel of the katana press up even more against her neck, before two words would be softly spoken into her ear.
"April Fools."
Disappearing and reappearing behind Kaori, the ninja would sheath his katana on his back, if Mitsuki looked closely and fast enough, the blade would appear familiar to her, as Kaori clung to the leg of the ninja, now that the charade was over, before he pulled down his mouth mask, revealing his face to her.

"April Fools." OH, SNEAKY, SNEAKY. A grin would etch across her lips- he had gotten her good. She was ready to lose her freaking life for his daughter. Then again, the joke she pulled on him probably wasn't the best of jokes either. She sat on the ground, more than relieved to know that it was just Kazuya playing an April Fool's prank. Jeeeesh. "...heh. Good to see you, Kaz." ...so, was he- like- literally a ninja...? Interesting... OOC Edit: Word count w/o BBC & Kaz's text is 78.

A slight smile tugging at the corners of Kazuya's mouth, seeing Mitsuki sit on the ground, he would look down at Kaori, who would let go of her daddy's leg, as Kazuya would disappear and reappear behind Mitsuki, crouching down and peering over her shoulder and back at her, a small wise-guy grin on his face, before disappearing and reappearing in front of her, extending a hand out for her to take.
No, he wasn't really a ninja, he was more of a samurai, but without his ankle weights, his already impressive speed jumped to a much higher level.
"... I could say the same to you. I nearly went insane from worrying and caring so much about you."
Well more like ending up in a cold fury, but the point was, if anything had happened to Kaori and Mitsuki, there would be hell to pay. And if Kazuya was angry, bodies would hit the floor, considering he rarely ever grew angry. His gray pupil-less eyes, which appeared stone cold during his act, were now calm and cool, now that the pranks were over and done with. Papa wolf and Mama bear. Ain't that interesting...

His disappearing and reappearing acts were giving her a headache, buuuut...she had to admit, the ungodly amount of speed he had was pretty impressive. Heh- he really had improved in the past ... 6 years, was it, since the last time she fought him?
And his words...?
She didn't really think much of it. If their positions had been switched, she probably would've felt the same. Except...more worried for Kaori than for Kazuya, knowing he could hold his own ground. Well, then again...the kidnappers for Kazuya would have to be ridiculously stealthy and intelligent for it to happen to begin with.
"Eh- it'll take more than that to bring me down."
She had been kidnapped before- by the gods- during her high school years. It was an embarrassing moment in time for her. As School Captain, she should've been able to hold her own against them, but the attack to knock her out had been quick, and before she knew it she was in their lair.
But his concern was touching. It made her wonder if things would've been different had she appointed him a pillar...or, if he had taken the Captain title from her.
She took his hand and hauled herself up, uttering a quiet 'thanks' as she got back onto her feet. Too bad she wasn't more like Asuka. Then maybe her reaction would've been different, heh, heh, heh.
She would nod toward the picnic set-up.
"Hungry? Someone from your house prepared it."

"... I'll say. I still remember the ass-kicking you handed to me on a silver plate back then."
Once Mitsuki was back on her feet and regained her balance, Kazuya would bow his head slightly to her and let go of her hand. With the charade over and done with, there would be a reasonable amount of space between the two of them, as he knew she liked her physical space. They may be close friends, but they weren't THAT close. Besides, Kazuya will never be like Tai-Jin... EVER.
"... Since someone went through all that effort to prepare the food, it would be rude to refuse."
Kaori running up to her daddy and Mitsuki, Kazuya would scoop her up into his arms and carry her, Kaori fascinated with the ninja clothing Kazuya wore, as she had only ever seen him wear his Karate gi, nothing else.
"... Sorry if I gave you a headache with the disappearing acts Mitsuki, I forgot how fast I was without the ankle weights."
Yeah, like Rock Lee fast.

...UNLESS THE BASKET, TOO, WAS AN APRIL FOOLS JOKE. MUAHAHA--
Nah. She had checked beforehand for the sake of Kaori. She figured Kaz's daughter would get hungry after all the excitements of the day. She would follow the two to the blanket before taking a seat.
"It's okay."
His speed wasn't the problem; him going back and forth from in front of her to behind her was what caused the headache. Speed in itself was actually something Mitsuki was well-acquainted with, having both Hades' Qi and David's...old one.
"How was your day?"
Small talk.

Sitting down cross-legged beside Mitsuki, Kazuya would plop Kaori down on the blanket as she opened the picnic basket and looked in, pulling out a container with onigiri inside it, happily opening the container and holding out two rice balls each, one in each hand, to Mitsuki and her daddy, before taking one for herself after Kazuya accepted the onigiri from her.
"... You mean besides worrying and nearly going on a rampage from you and Kaori being 'kidnapped'? Peachy Mitsuki. How was yours?"

Onigiri? Nostalgic. She hadn't had one of these since...
"Thanks Kaori."
So cute- giving her 'elders' food before getting it herself, such was most customary/tradition within Asian culture. She wondered if Kaori was taught this, or if this was just a part of who she was.
"Mine was fun- Kaori and I played with letters and bubbles."
Hehehe. A light smile would carry on her face before she turned to Kaori with a wink. Just as he had gotten her pretty bad, she and Kaori had done the same. Today's April Fools?
Success~
