[Thread takes place after "circumstances"]
Bastille had finished training in silence, a new thought opening in her mind. Not the one you'd typically think of a girl who had just had a second waaayyy to serious talk to her ex after getting back from an amazing vacation that yes, was normally deemed a honeymoon. No, the thought she had was more along the lines of Davids plans. She didn't like the way he was suddenly 'appearing' a lot in her news frequency which she willingly kept slim for the exact purpose that she stayed out of most of the political happenings in the area. As far as she was concerned, they didn't concern her any longer.
Nice thing about getting hitched. Husband can do all that ugly stuff. But that didn't stop Bastille sending out a message to the hobbit. No, in fact, it was partially her hatred of the Dragons. But mostly, she remembered that this girl was getting dangerously tangled here...time to have some heart to heart. Bastille had gone home, showered, and put the girls down for a nap - then walked right back outside and went to wait by the border. Best to do this in secret- after all....she'd also be undermining her husband as the dragon.
She would be sitting at the entrance of an abandoned house by the border road into God Territory. The gnome better show...

It was odd to get any sort of letter. Much less one from Bastille. Normally she would have expected one from Mathew, if any were to come at all. The fact that it was her, however, caused a spark of mild alarm. There was nothing more than a note, a time, a place, her 'name', and Bastille's signature. Kyrie looked around; she was working on ideas for the issue of a water supply; the blonde knew exactly what she wanted to do, but some of the "how"s were a little more difficult to put together. So it wasn't a difficult matter of thanking the messenger and making her way towards the border of God Territory.
She had plenty of time, and not enough, to think on the way there. Sure enough, Bastille would see the blonde she had sent for jobbing at a brisk but steady pace. Why jog when she could have "flown" from one of the few remaining skyscrapers. Well, she needed to be quick, yes, but she also needed time. And she didn't want to cause any alarm from the Gods themselves, as the abrupt slowing from her insane, rocketed speed with a shadow parachute generally caused one hell of a booming crack as she shifted the shadow from wingsuit to parachute.
So running was the better option.
Blue eyes scanned her surroundings, even when she caught sight of Bastille. The blonde slowed her pace within fifteen feet to a walk, blue orbs seemingly locked to Bastille in curiosity.
"Mathew and the girls..?" Kyrie questioned, slowly. She was just looking for confirmation, as she didn't think Bastille would be prone to sitting doing nothing if something happened to any of them. But she needed to make sure.
She had no idea this was about her.

"Sleeping for all I know" She said, her expression bored as she stared off into space. She finally glanced at the girl and motioned for her to come inside the home. Her arms crossed as she walked. Running...impressive. This girl kept confusing her more and more. Bastille sat down on one of the old dusty couches and motioned for Kyrie to sit too.
"Before we say anything further, know that I am not here today as the voice of the earth dragon." She said idly, although there was a rather menacing undertone to it.

Well. Okay. Good. They were alright, her world was still intact. She could breathe just a little easier. With the motion to come in, Kiyr followed. Once crossing the threshold she exuded shadow from her form, testing the main room for anyone else before it receded. She wasn't going to leave things to chance after her little run in with her assassin. Kiyr discreetly shifted her shoulders as she sat, keeping her legs tucked together and folding her hands on her lap.
She gave Bastille an owlish blink at her words, feeling a bit of confusion - just a bit - and trepidation.
"...I understand." It was a neutral response. It wouldn't do any good to jump to conclusions.

"Good" ...She breathed. Her brow raised slightly. "Then lets talk...."
She paused for a moment and clapped her hands together.
"David Blaze...tell me about him"

Wide-eyed bliiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiink.
"I beg your pardon--what?"
Confusion reigned though her stomach twisted in a sudden bout of nerves. What and why was Bastille asking her about David when she most likely knew parts of the man better than Kyrie herself did.
Her brows furrowed.
"You want me to tell you about him?" She queried, getting it but hoping - oh did she hope - that Bastille wasn't trying to get at what she thought she was getting at.

Bastille had a plan, the likes of which had a specific reason for not putting out the rule "tell only the truth". She needed Kyrie to have the freedom to lie. Bastille also knew she didn't know the girl very well so she'd have to listen extremely carefully and watch to make sure she caught the discrepancies.
Bastille shrugged.
"Yes. Your view, what you think, who he is, etc.....as if you're describing a character in a book" She said folding her fingers and watching curiously.

Kiyr quietly regarded Bastille from her spot on the couch. Part of her wanted to get up and pace, burn off the nervous energy that was building up. Instead, she took a quiet breath, her expression shifting to one of thoughtful curiosity.
"I see... Why the interest in my opinion of him and why now, Bastille?"
She wanted to know, though she had a good idea, considering she knew certain things. But as she asked, she was already developing her answer. There were things she couldn't say, of course, but Bastille wasn't asking for those. And Kyrie didn't try to fool herself; the blonde knew Bastille knew David enough that any lies would be noted.
And part of her was, indeed, stalling.

"I'll get to that...story first" She said, sitting still and waiting. No she would not allow stalling, yes she would look for lies, but more importantly why the lie was told....or even the truth.

Kyrie stared for a minute, shifting so she was sitting relaxed, though her posture remained pristine. Was she going to ask her opinion on more than just David or was this nagging instinct right?
Kiyr wasn't sure which option was better.
With a cleansing sigh, she began.
"I would not deign to say David is easy to figure out. Even if I had the ability to read minds and know a person's thoughts, it is only part of the whole. From what he has demonstrated he has the capacity for compassion and empathy, though it can be just as easily discarded in instances he needs to be ruthless." She glanced up, in recollection. "He can be misleading and yet blunt. I have not quite seen an instance in which he has lacked tact, however. He has firm views of right and wrong, and strong ties of loyalty even despite people wronging him, whatever the circumstances. It is rare he should apologize, though if he feels the need to, he will. He has a keen enough intelligence to be able to see when he is in the wrong, and the wisdom to lead...and lead well. He takes large effort in trying to keep what he feels separate from what he does, as a leader, but like the nature of the wind, is prone to lashing out with a cutting bite."
Kyrie's blue eyes held Bastille's unwavering aside from when she had glanced upwards. She sat quietly and still, her expression and tone remaining neutral, with the latter bordering more on explanatory with a slight amount of admiration or even slight distaste, depending on where she was.
"He is a leader, through and through. An accomplished and renowned Warrior, even without the Dragons. With his position as The Storm Dragon, he holds power and acknowledgement even with his leave of absence. And with any Elder, the power of command has the side-effect of causing him to become arrogant and sometimes overly willful, imposing it upon others despite his ideals." She didn't state which. It wasn't her place, for one. She blinked unflinchingly, and concluded: "But at the bottom of it all, he is as human as any one of us--not The Storm Dragon, not a renowned Warrior with strength to protect or crush. Just human. And with all the flaws and virtues, all of the weaknesses and strengths, that go with it."

More staring. Diversion? Maybe. She wasn't sure. As she had said, she couldn't read minds, so Bastille's purpose for all of this...she resigned herself to wait until it was revealed. But all of this, so far, was reminiscent of what she would do, herself.
"Mathew is blunt, but chooses carefully on how much he says, as he puts weight in honesty and following his own word. It is what separates him from many others. It also enables him to reveal just enough, and never too much. He has plans upon plans, and always has planned out alternate plans should one thing happen over another. He can be harsh or kind...and is most often unyielding and stubborn, though he has good intentions and...a good heart." She paused, shuffling her thoughts in to order. "He will shoulder through anything, conflict or otherwise, because he will not give up or give in. He will do whatever it takes, for however long it takes, to achieve his ends, and will not utter a complaint. He is dedicated and zealous, and will not hesitate to burn through anyone standing against him for those he considers his. Confident, and with his title, even arrogant...but with a sense of humour that extends to taunting and trolling others. He enjoys provoking a reaction; pushing, poking, prodding to see what makes a person tick. Testing them to prove their worth."
She tipped her head, just slightly, and then straightened.
"He has the capacity to forgive, but one should not fool themselves into thinking he would forget. He does as he will and does not appear to care of what others think of him for it. He does not necessarily nurture," Their infant girls aside, "But will force and draw out growth, strength, and power, shaping those around him whether they realize it or not. Reminiscent of his Earth manipulation, he has finesse and a hard work ethic, but also a subtlety that enables this."

Bastille nodded through most of it. Boy did she know it. She sighed when Kiyr finished and moved back into her seat, kicking her feet up.
"Sounds like you admire them both..." She said quietly. "Very clearly, i heard almost no faults on either- dual loyalty perhaps- ah! remember I'm not speaking as Mathew today, just myself. Tell me, why become a dragon?"

Kiyr's gaze almost - almost - flattened at what she could perceive as a taunt; however, she gave Bastille the benefit of doubt and simply inhaled and exhaled slowly.
"I do admire them both, and I am aware both have just as many flaws as you or myself. Anyone that thinks they have none is due for a rude awakening...but I do not necessarily think it is my job to point out their flaws, over and above what I have already stated. I choose to accept both David and Mathew despite them." She blinked and slowly tilted her head, saying nothing for now on the matter of 'dual loyalty', though why would become at least a little clearer with her measured response. "...family, and to gain strength enough to not only stand alongside them, but to defend and protect whenever necessary. And that is not exclusive to just the Dragons."
Kyrie didn't flinch away from that admittance--either one. The blonde could do no more than try to better balance herself between David and Mathew; she could not play favourites between those she felt were two of the three closest people to her. She watched Bastille quietly, but not in a way that challenged her to dare to try and change her mind. No: Bastille was entitled to her opinion, and though Kiyr wasn't entirely certain on her fellow blonde, she was included in her own odd way. Perhaps in time there would be a foundation there, but for now it was a sort of wary acceptance as Kyrie tried to get a better picture of the woman sitting there. Unquestioningly, however, Bastille's two girls had easily worked their way into her heart. And Bastille was included by proxy, between the two girls and Mathew...and there was no question that the woman before her would be afforded everything that anyone else Kyrie regarded as family would.

Bastille sat and mulled over the response a bit. Then smiled and nodded a bit.
"Family." She nodded. "But, why serve the dragon cause when you could fight for David or Mathew as they are....people. You said it yourself, they are both human with flaw and fo. But I fail to see the importance of 'Dragon' to you. Yes, I know it is a title....one that if said, many will quiver in their radioactive shorts...."
She said it all, gauging the girls reaction. She tilted her ahead a bit.
"You might be curious as to why I invited you here today....out of the blue. See, and while I was lucky enough to encounter both men at different points of my life- I was also not deceived by this thing called titles. I'd be a fool to say they merit no worth, I cant control masses after all and how certain words affect them. But, how do you choose to be affected by them?" she said quietly, musing about it like she was talking about colors on a flowers petals.
"Mathew is my husband as you know. I see him as my partner, and admittedly, my best friend. We've fought together, fucked together, and now we have a family and even vows together. I'm really starting to run out of things I haven't tried with this man- oh see thats the fun bit. We were in -...." She paused, stopping herself for a moment before nodding and continuing.
"Off topic, but do you see what I'm saying?"
She paused for a moment but before Kyrie could speak she jolted in again.
"I'm here today to warn you about the Dragons, and idolizing titles at the expense of what I foresee as many paths that could lead to the very life you're looking for. I'm not saying betray Mathew, or David....although apparently I betrayed David in some way which is beyond confusing to me because while we had sex maybe once, and hit third base four times that number- I dont recall ever promising to marry him. We argued about it once....forcing each other to propose, but nothing official came of it- no one gave in. No one ever will. Do not bind yourself to the dragons permanently, keep your options open......you have a spark on you. Do not waste it on nothing while something that could be made greater lays in the embers there. "
She said ominously, then quietly nodded. "This is also a warning against joining anything...even the gods. To join the gods for me was a personal choice, and one relevant to the future I want to live- granted I actually live long enough to live it. For you, you may think this is the smartest path, or the only path....but all I keep noticing is that you lack the ability to see the other roads...or perhaps you're ignoring them. Now Im not saying stop ignoring them either.....but I would like to know why?"
