Last night you dreamed you were in an old-fashioned elevator, standing beside a rather tall man in a bell-hop's uniform. His cap tilted down to conceal his eyes, but the corners of his thin lips pulled ever-so-subtly in the makings of an eerily cordial smile. He said nothing, but gestured to the selection of floors on the ornate wall panel with his white gloved hand.
The only floors listed were UP and DOWN.
- I'm going up.
- I'm going down.

The elevator rattled a little as you ascended for what felt like an eternity. When it finally came to a stop, the bell-hop pulled the lever to open the door. Immediately a cold gust of air buffeted you as a blizzard of snowflakes of snow flecks swept into the elevator.
The door had opened to a barren ice field in the midst of a snowstorm. Through the flurry of white you could see large metal structures of unknown origin looming here and there, jutting out of the ice, adorned with icicles, gradually being consumed by a glacier.
Before you stepped out of the elevator, the bell-hop handed you a folded note.
Well wasn't that vague?
In the distance, hanging beneath the nearest of the strange metal monuments, you could see a light faintly flickering through the storm.
Two items hung from the structure: a lantern and a cloak.
Which one is 'THE OBJECT'?

Arael shivered in the icy blast of wind. Glancing down to read the note, she walked out onto the barren ice field. Object? What object? She thought to herself.
Looking around, she saw curious metal structures scattered across the frozen field. Suddenly, out of the corner of her eye, Arael saw a flash of light! She turned quickly to identify the source, only to see the flickering light of a lantern. Walking slowly at first, then quickly speeding up, she headed towards the light.
Upon arriving she saw two things. A lantern, and a coat. Nothing else. So Arael did the logical thing at the time, she took the coat and wrapped it around her body.
