It would still be dark outside when John would feel a presence in his room. Which was mysteriously darker than it had been when he fell asleep. It was almost as though the area was completely devoid of light, turning his small room into a veritable cave.
If he tried to turn on the lights, he would find them inoperable. The door was locked from the outside. Water dripped from the tap in his bathroom, echoing in the cement chamber.
And somewhere in the room, Delilah waited, silent and watchful.
Let the training begin.

Johns eyes opened, the sandy blonde-haired Lion sitting up in his bed slowly. He blinked a few times, before turning so his legs were off the bed, feet resting on the floor. He let his gaze slowly trail about the room, resting on the darkest corners. When he had gone to bed, he left the light on. He didn't trust the dark- not anymore. He reached up, gripping the handle of his knife in the wall- an SOG S37, military grade. It had seen some use, at least when one looked at the handle, but the blade shimmered, and seemed clean and sharp. He held it so the blade pointed down from his fist, rather than up- in the Zatoichi style, though John did not know to call it that. He would stand slowly, in his underwear, as he walked side to side toward the door. He kept his peripherals to their max, pressing his hearing as well. His cousin had taught him much- he used to be taught stealth tactics. Knives in the dark. It had been months, but he had kept his wits and skills honed. Perhaps not as good as whoever grinned at him from the shadows, but enough to stick a blade in their heart before his death. After trying the light, he put his back to the door, and slid along it to the right, putting his spine in the corner as he held his left hand in front of him, palm toward the ground, right hand with the knife closer to his chest as he waited for several seconds. " Les' get on with et then, killer, and see wha kinda name yeh can make fer yerself."

As he moved to the wall, he would hear not a sound, not so much as a beat of the woman's heart in the darkness.
Him, however. As he started talking to himself, however quietly, he might, perhaps, hear a whistle of wind cut through the air and a sharp, metallic thud as a something embeded itself in the wall to the left of his head. Immediately after, Delilah stealthily changed positions from the top of the small dresser to a new location within the room.
"Your goal is to find me or find a way out. Pretty soon, I'm going to stop missing."

John jerked his head to the right, and as the thud of the knife would slam into the wall next to his head, his free left hand would reach up, grip the handle and hurl that bitch right back at the same place it came from. He couldn't see in the dark, but from holding the handle, he could judge trajectory, and into the wall above his dresser, the knife would slam, probably half a moment after she left it. When she spoke, however, his straight face broke into a smile. His posture did not change.
"Ah, I see. I suppose yeh ain't gonna gimme a chance to put on mah pants? Ah well, I think yer bound and determined to get meh nude, one way er the other."
He would crouch, and lean toward the door handle that was to his left. Using his left fist, he would crook his arm at the elbow and slam it out into the weaker bolt lock, popping the lock out assuming she didn't throw the bolt, and giving him a hole for light to stream in. This wouldn't change the fact that the handle was still locked, but would shed light into the room. Unless the lights out there were out, or the bolt was thrown, in which case things would get tricky...

The knife stuck quivering in the wall where she had been only a scant few moments before. She cast her amused eye at the area, but stifled a chuckle. Good response. Not bad accuracy.
For now, though, she watched him (glad for the darkness that hid her aggravated blush) with a tilted head and a grin. Oh, now that was cheeky.
Good thing she prepared for such an eventuality.
Upon slamming his elbow into the small bolt, his arm would receive a rather painful jolt of electricity as it coursed up his arm with the strength of a mild taser; enough to give him a good strong jolt, but not cause any damage. But he had his tiny ray of light, for what it was worth.
Off to the right, a soft, amused chuckle resonated in the dark.

John cried out, hand with the knife going to his left elbow to hold it as he fell to a knee- a light, reddened area would begin to form at it. He looked up, a slight pale to his cheeks as he flexed his left hand with a grimmace. That shit hurt.
"Tricky one, eh?"
A low chuckle came from his right.
He would lunge in that direction, attempting a stiff spring-kick into the dark. If she dodged, his foot would smash into the wall, leaving a few spider-cracks before he planted his back against it again, eyes trailing the room once more.
"I hope yeh realize i feel at a disadvantage... I'll need teh get yeh back later fer this somehow."

She watched as his body began to turn towards her.
He's quick
She kicked off the wall tucking into a soft roll as she pulled herself up around one of the adjacent corners. The cement wall crunched behind her. Really quick.
shing
Two long nails flew from her finger tips, the heads sheared to resemble Bo-shiruiken as they sought their targets; one for each shoulder.

OOC: Sorry it took so long, I'd like to pick this up again!
John growled as his foot struck the wall, turning in the direction of the noise.
He was unsure, in the split instant of the sound, whether this meant a projectile or that she was coming for him with some other deadly weapon. So, he would drop into a deep crouch and roll toward where the sound had come from, and upon his feet hitting the ground after it, he would attempt to dive/tackle her. If she was even in the same place, of course.
If she wasn't there, he would grunt as he hit the wall (having traveled through space without her bod, collapsing to the floor with a groan) though in truth, it would be an attempt to get her to come closer and check on him, so he could attack accordingly.

More quick maneuvering. If she already hadn't just come up from a roll and was already crouching, it would have been near impossible to get out of the way of his next tackle. As it was, the torque to her body was done fast enough to give herself whiplash, though she managed to get out of the way in time.
She winced as he hit the wall, then cracked a small grin. Now near the bed, she decided to hop on it and bounce up and down on the balls of her heels on the creaky cot.
"If you go charging in like a bull in a china shop, however will you hit the little sparrow?" she quipped, amused.

Once she spoke and started bouncing, his hand whipped out and his brothers knife would launch for her left shoulder. If it hit or didn’t it didn’t matter- his eyes were becoming used to the dark, and the light that came in from the hole added to his sight. Once he let the knife go, he would lurch to his feet and attempt to grip the bed and rip it out from the wall, hoping to flip it over.
By now, John was sweating profusely, running low on energy. His body was well in shape, but this girl was way beyond his league, though he would continue to push himself in the hopes of finally getting his hands on the wily female.

Mid jump, she saw something silver glint in the air as it sped towards her shoulder. Reflexively, she threw her arms up and out of the way, letting the knife shoot past her...though as it did, a familliar hot and cold sensation of pain began to emanate from the top of her ribcage.
Ah, he got me.
Behind her, the knife hit the wall with a clatter and would bounce away into the dark of the room. She started to come down from her bounce, feet landing lightly on the bed--
--just as John grabbed it and yanked it away from the wall, her bounce just taking off again as the bed went out from under her. She quickly back flipped, planting her feet against the wall as she went horizontal and kicked off right towards John's neck and shoulders, one of the taser knives in her hand. The aim was to slash him across the throat with the dull, electrified blade to stun him for a moment, if it succeeded.

John grinned with having displaced the girl, having no way to know that his knife cut was successful. Instead, in what seemed to him a blur, the girl launched at him, whipping out a blade and coming for him in a rather...intimidating fashion. His eyes widened. He didn't think she would actually kill him, but with their proximity he had no way to verify what kind of blade was in her hand- he didn't know it was just cause some serious choking and pain. All he saw and all he had the time to process was the body flying for him and the glint of her dagger. He made a split second choice- in truth, the only one he could make.
He had known this girl for a few days. He didn't know everything he wanted, and never really grasped whether they were truthful in all they claimed.
So, he decided to act on the threat, but not intending to kill unless she slit his throat.
Having zero time to move, counter, or dodge, Johns hand would react, falling into the Russian systema throat grip taught to him. His fingers would bend back and he would attempt to grip the throat- not the neck, no. His hand would not grasp clean around- just the tracheal area at the front of her neck. Her being airborne momentarily would hopefully provide this opening, and if his grip was successful he would hold hard enough that if she pulled away, it would cause discomfort, and if she slit his throat and he felt the blood poor free, he would grip as tight as he possibly could and pull in the hopes of tearing her trachea clean from her neck.
All assuming his grip was successful and she cut him, of course.
If it ended with her not cutting and them standing there ready to hurt one another, he'd speak.
"Uh... Why yeh tryin to cut mah throat? Training or damage is one thing but....Well no offense but i don't reckon i know yeh quite well enough to put a blade on mah neck and I ain't dyin today...."
He was wiped out already anyway...though he fully intended to continue if that was her intent.
OOC: I didn't address the electroshock, as I wasn't sure if you would still want to peruse that what with the possible throat grip.

To say the least, the throat grab was not expected. Not surprising, really, but he had reacted faster than she had anticipated. It was jarring enough for her Qi to activate of it's own accord; John would find his fingers depressed into cold metal that coated her trachea.
Staring him in the face, she was grinning broadly, impressed, even as the fake blade hovered just before his throat
"Uh... Why yeh tryin to cut mah throat? Training or damage is one thing but....Well no offense but i don't reckon i know yeh quite well enough to put a blade on mah neck and I ain't dyin today...."
Delilah raised an eyebrow. So, he thought it was real? That explained his reaction at any rate. She chuckled, a metallic ringing sound that resonated deep within her throat. "I am attempting to simulate a throat slash to get a reaction out of you. The knife is fake; it has an electric charge so you feel pain when it touches you, but it's nowhere near lethal.
"The whole point of the excersize was to see how you would handle an 'assassination' situation. Not to cut your throat open."

John stared a moment or two.
"Oh."
John would loosen his grip on her neck, both relieved by her words and confused by what was under his hand. He stepped back, plopping onto the desk and wiping sweat from his brow. His body was covered in a light sheen of water, and he was exhausted from the workout. He looked to her and gestured with one hand.
"What... What did yeh do to yer neck?"

As he let go of her neck, Delilah deactivated her Qi and gave a light cough, massaging her newly fleshy throat gingerly. The guy had a pretty decent grip.
"What... What did yeh do to yer neck?"
Delilah looked back up at him with a puzzled expression before it cleared. That's right; he'd never seen her Qi before.
"It's an ability called 'Qi'." she replied, not at all tired from the strenuous workout; another day in the life of Delilah Black (though she was sweating) "It's something that comes from inside you, a power that reflects the scape of your soul, so they're fairly unique. Mine is a metal sheath that not only coats my skin but goes all the way down to the bone. I can form it to my will to use as a weapon or just to protect me. It also makes me stronger, faster and tougher. The drawback is that the longer I use it, the angrier I get," She shrugged with a light smile.
"Chances are you have one, too."
