When Marcus shot off to see about Silk's shriek, Bandit jumped ready to bolt too. Instead Aiko caught his tail to stop him. The feline turned his hateful little glare to her and Aiko, didn't even blink. She gave the cat a harsh tug back to her and Brenner. She then smacked him a few times with her paws before nudging him to Brenner. She wanted the cat to apologize for scaring the little pup. Bandit looked back towards the hall and towards the sound of Marcus' footsteps stopping in front of his owner's door. Then he looked at Aiko who was being very stubborn. She knew what had the cat upset. She understood. She worried about Silk as much as he did, but she trusted Marcus. The feline would turn his attention to Brenner and try to make up for scaring the pup. He knew Aiko would probably win the next round. She was much more spry than he was.
Silk jumped hearing Marcus at her door and she scrunched her face up at him in annoyance as he snatched up the lizard and handed it to Croaker. When the woman heard the boy complain about being bitten, she began to laugh some more. It was funny. Though soon Marcus had turned his attention back to her and began talking. He mentioned missing her laughter and then sat down beside her. Silk sat up to catch her breath from having laughed so much. It had been a long time since she'd laughed. She felt more insane than usual and it could be because she had been holding emotions back so long.
"First off...I don't mind lizards, I just didn't expect one to jump into my room. Second, You have succeeded to bring me back into talking and wanting to beat you again. Your pep talks are now done."
She said before giving the man beside her a shove.
"Besides, I thought my laughter used to terrify you... or was that only when I was drinking?"

THAT got Marcus chuckling. "You're right, they did. Normally it meant getting caught up in whatever twister storm you had unleashed just being yourself. You know, I always complained. Always berated you. Always scolded you despite you NEVER listening." He went silent for a moment. Taking on a wistful expression as memories played through his head. He turned to Silk, warmth in his eyes. Something caring in his expression. Personal.
Intimate.
"I'm glad you never did. Fuck, hanging around you was where I got most of my fun ever EVER. Everyone else always seemed to move....Slow compared to you. Life stagnated when you weren't around. So I just wanna say sorry. For being a party pooper growing up with ya. Surprised you were able to stand having me around I must say."

And once again, Silk found herself thinking those annoying thoughts she'd just hidden away. Now, with Marcus sitting there Silk couldn't force them away and despite her tanned skin, there was a soft pinkish or red like hue to her cheeks now. She was blushing. Actually blushing, even though there was really no reason for it. She fumbled with her hair in hopes of distracting him from looking at her face too much.
"Oh, you weren't so bad. I kinda thought of you like my annoying side kick. You know, I was batman, you were clearly Robin."
A snicker left the woman as she grinned at him.
"Besides, you were only trying to think about my safety... even when I was trying to beat you up for your insolence."
She shifted about on the bed fumbling with her fingers and hair still. Why did she feel so ridiculous? What was the reasoning in it? None. Silk was starting to feel those stupid mushy feelings again and she could have really done with out them at this moment.
"And...I'd like to think that you learned something from all my recklessness. Life back then made it so much easier to be a wild and crazy child. Now I'm just some grouchy old woman who shrieks at lizards sneaking into her room."
Silk gave a little puff and blew some of her hair from her face. She had fumbled with it so much, that she dialoged some strands from her ponytail.

As Silk Flustered and Fidgeted, Marcus Continued to stare and smile, fighting an eternal war with himself whether he should do the thing he was thinking of doing or not. She was right, he always did act the sidekick. The reason behind the madness. They really DID make a good team together. Even after becoming VASTLY superior to her in strength and skill she had always found ways to put the fear of GOD in him.
And after watching her be utterly adorable, he made up his mind.
"Silk? Just shut the fuck up and Kiss me." Before she could protest, Marcus would be on her, tasting her addictive taste yet again and enjoying it just as much as the first. If she didn't immediatly punch him in the jaw, the man would slowly move into her and force her to lay back along the bed, bracing his elbows by her shoulders and cradling her head in his hands as he began to nibble her bottom lip before diving in for another kiss.
Aye. She was Life. His Life.
And Finally being able to admit it to himself. He couldn't have been happier.

"W-w-"
That was about as far as she got. There was no time for her to protest, no time to laugh in his face, no time for her to do anything to deter him from doing what he did next. The kiss caught her off guard. Totally derailed any thoughts of kneeing him in the stomach and punching him in the head. Their lives up to this point have been lives of trauma and pain. Both of them lost people they cared for but never stopped caring for each other. Even when one was half way across the world they still found each other. Someone could have, or should have told them this was inevitable. That they both cared too much for each other for it to not happen. At least that bit of warning might have prepared Silk. Though, it was just as likely it wouldn't. She was a stubborn woman after all.
I'd say she was trapped, but that would be a lie. Silk didn't mind this sudden attack of affection as much as she assumed she would. In fact... she actually kissed him back. She even let her arms move up to wrap around him to keep him close. It was weird feeling these feelings again. Her heart raced like it had years ago, before she felt like she couldn't feel anything anymore. Her mind felt fuzzy for the first time in years, which probably was a good thing for Marcus. She might have been weak, it didn't mean she wouldn't bust him up good if she could think well. She didn't even mind that at the moment, Marcus was the one in control. It was actually nice to not wait for rejection, like she was so used to doing when she put out her emotions like she had earlier.
Everything was rather sweet if you looked at it like that. Silk was, at least for the moment. It was that is, until Silk's brown eyes caught movement in her window. Silk would push Marcus's face away from her own so she could get a good look at the window, only to see half of the wolf pack standing outside her window with rather large grins.
"OI! YOU LITTLE BASTARDS!"
And she began to struggle to get Marcus off her so she could go thump them for spying.

And just when he was getting going to..... He found himself reminded of His aborted make out session with Delilah. Well he sure as hell wasn't going to let a moment like THIS be ruined. Keeping Silk pinned underneath him thanks to his BJJ expertise, Marcus turned his head back and pretended he could shoot lasers from his eyes at the Wolfpack congregated outside the window.
"Laps. Around the City. NOW!"
THAT made them lose the color in thier faces. It was brave Fox who spoke up next. "Ummmm. For how long Sir?"
Marcus paused to look back down at Silk, Wiggling and squirming underneath him. Making it VERY hard to concentrate as parts of her rubbed up against parts of him. A Slow and Evil smile would spread across his face before he turned back to them.
"Four full rotations around the perimeter should do it I think."
After a Cavalcade of Groans and moans of Agony, the pack stalked off for thier punishment.
Except for little Silent who stayed behind, looking sullenly at Marcus and Silk until suddenly sprouting a Genuine smile before giving her Pack alpha a thumbs up and darting off to join the others.
Marcus was damn near shocked. "Huh. Haven't seen HER smile in a damn long time either." He then looked back down at Silk and felt the heat rise from his heart all over his body. "Don't worry though, I only plan on making out with you. He said before lowering his head to his neck, Raking his teeth across her velvet soft flesh.

Thanks to Marcus's extra strength, he kept Silk pinned. During all their talk she struggled and squirmed trying to get free.
"I swear to god, I'ma kill you all!"
She growled out with annoyance. They had seen her weak. She couldn't allow them to leave alive, even if Marcus needed them. It was hard enough as it was to accept Marcus had seen her weak, but he was slightly more tolerable. They had a history together, that meant it was easier to accept he had seen her at her weakest moments. It wasn't until the group left her sight completely, and Marcus began talking to her, that Silk settled down. Her chest heaved and the look on her face was that of a clearly angry bear. She heard his words and she felt that heat return to her cheeks. The soft blush crept back to her tanned features. When his teeth raked over the flesh of her neck, Silk gasped and shuddered softly under him.
Just like that, the fiery woman was settled down. Her mind distracted with the man who had her pinned down. Despite how giddy another woman would have felt at this moment, Silk couldn't help but think about something else. It almost nagged at her.
"...That's it....I'm going to get stronger. THIS IS NOT HAPPENING, AGAIN!"
She insisted despite the fact that the rest of her practically melted towards his touch and that she had stopped struggling.

Marcus nodded into her neck, an affectionate nuzzle, enjoying the feeling of her body being pressed so close to his own. "That you are." He said as he teased her lips with his own. It was good to feel the fire return to her so fiercely. THIS was the woman he remembered from ages past. Shifting his weight to the side, Marcus freed a hand and let it take it's time exploring her delicious curves, Marveling at the freedom of which she allowed him to do so. He fantasized about this moment for so long that it almost seemed surreal now as he let his hand drift from her breast to her belly, teasing her navel with his thumb. "And it'll be as if Barker never existed at all. Cause right now? He doesn't," A Pause, A moment of silence to lend it some gravitas, a loving Kiss as his tongue entered her mouth to dance and play, Marcus' hand would reach down low to explore, excite and experience. An Impatient man in all things but where it counted. Lovemaking. FADE TO BLACK FOOL!

Silk lay there, staring at the ceiling of her room. What exactly had just happened? She remembered being in angry bear mode ready to rip the limbs off the wolf pack and then... yeah... the rest was just a blur. She turned her head to look over at Marcus. Seeing him there was odd. How long had it been since she had seen another person's face beside her in bed? A long time. Tenchi had always been so busy with work and he was really the last person she'd had a relationship with. She turned her gaze back to the ceiling letting thoughts pace around her mind. There was a scratch at her door and Bandit pushed his way in.
The poor feline's nose was assaulted by the scent of Marcus and Silk and his ears promptly drew back and he growled. Silk could see his glowing cat eyes from the bed as he stalked towards it. The feline shot up towards Marcus' pelvic area and Silk's arm shot out catching the feline mid claw drawn pounce. The cat growled and hissed, his paws swinging madly at a part of Marcus that he couldn't reach. Silk pulled the cat in towards her and held him close till he calmed. With the cat's face pressed between her chest, muffled sounds of chittering from him could be heard.
"Shush your cat face."
She whispered almost sounding annoyed at the cat. Still, muffled chittering sounded in response.
"He's sleeping. Is it really necessary to attack him?"
More chittering and then Silk winced and growled annoyed. She yanked the Cat up towards her face, holding him by his scruff. Bandit looked so pathetic in this moment. He looked like a kitten being scolded by its mother. Silk gave him a glare before looking over her breasts making sure his angry little bite hadn't broken skin.
"That is enough outa you."
The spanish woman grumbled. Bandit kept his hurt little kitten face. Partly in hopes of her going weak and giving him affections, partly cause he was hurt she was scolding him. She turned the cat to look down at Marcus who continued to sleep. Probably because he had exhausted himself. Silk was exhausted too, but her mind rarely let her get the rest she deserved lately.
"We like him. He's taken care of you and Aiko for me. He's taken care of me. Enough of your stupid cat bullshit."
She turned the cat back to look at her. They had been friends long enough that she could read his emotions with out him even having to express them fully. She had him since he'd been a kitten and now he was a grouchy old cat. She made sure to keep her voice hushed as she didn't want to wake Marcus.
"I don't think someone who planned on leaving is going to do all that and then leave. Do you?"
Now outwardly it appeared Silk was saying this for the benefit of the cat, but inwardly it was for her own as well. She struggled quite a bit with abandonment issues. Bandit did as well. It was one of the many reasons the two of them had grown so close. Despite their prickly demeanor towards most people, they were scared of losing the ones they cared for the most. Both Silk and Bandit liked Marcus. Granted it was for different reasons and in different ways, but it was safe to say that they both cared for him and the fear of losing him loomed over their heads.
"Now, I'm going to set you down and I expect you to behave."
And so she set the feline down on the bed between her sheet covered legs. For a moment, Bandit sat thinking on Silk's words, then... with out warning, his ears went up and his paw shot out. The cat smacked Marcus in the crotch and ran off playfully swishing his tail in the air. Silk would haphazardly try to stop him and she would lean over Marcus to swat at her feline friends rear but would miss and lose balance, flopping onto Marcus rather roughly. So much for not waking him up...

Trust me when I say that there is ALOT a man can sleep through after a wild frenzied romp on and around a bed with a fiery Spanish woman who probably hadn't been laid since said man had last seen her in New York City.
Getting punched in the DICK by a Calico cat is NOT one of them.
Marcus let out a groggy grunt and began to squirm, his consciousness swimming back to the surface of wakefulness like a retarded blue whale, only to suddenly find Silks rather impressively firm backside upon his already tortured genitals. It was about then that he suddenly realized how very naked he was, which made sense if truth be told.
"Urrrffffff." He growled as he reached up and rubbed his eyes. The man had been suffering from sleep deprivation having been forced to divide his waking hours to managing Anaheim and his sleeping hours running Wolfpack Ops, keeping up on his physical excersize and simply finding a few hours of leisure time for himself. Couple that with the Intense amount of Coupling he had just been doing with Silk and you had a recipe for putting the big wolf out to count sheep for a few precious hours.
Reaching out, Marcus gently put both hands on Silks thigh and pulled the little spanish woman towards himself and onto his sweaty, heavily muscled abdomen.
"Hey."

Silk would give an eep as Marcus began to stir. Quietly she cursed the cat for not giving her more time with her own thoughts. Then she was pulled upwards towards his abdomen and blinked. She gave a soft little wave down at him and tried to smile innocently.
"Uhm.... Hi..."
She said almost sounding uncertain of if that was the proper greeting. It had been a really long time since she had to do pillow talk.
"Soooo.... You're awake..."
And now she began to feel awkward. Marcus was her friend and she'd just done something very not friend like with him. At least by Silk's standards it wasn't friend like. It was more like... rabbits but I digress. The awkwardness settled inside her mind the more she found herself thinking about what their label was to be now. It wasn't exactly something that had come up between Marcus demanding she kiss him and their clothes flying off into different directions. How do you initiate that type of conversation? Was it even something you talked about after having only done it once? Were they just going to go back to being friends and pretending like it hadn't happened?
It was times like this that Silk hated very much being a female. Men could just shut off their brains but a girl... nope! They had to sit there thinking things over and over. Of course it didn't help that Silk had a small case of OCD which caused her to obsess a little more than normal. She lightly chewed on her bottom lip trying to think of something to say to remove the silence that settled in.
"Er... Bandit.... uhm... hit you in the penis.... Sorry..."
Smooth. Very... Smooth Silk...

"In the most loosest sense of the word, yeah." The man grumbled as he unglued his eyes and looked up into his long time friends face. Long time friend, but what now? Marcus would be the first to admit that he had harbored many a fantasy about bedding Silk in the years they had known each other, but all those fantasy's always ended just after the big climax which left the man in a rather uncomfortable position.
Where to go from there? Specially with a woman as volatile as Silk?
With any other girl Marcus would have been smooth talking her by now, prepping himself for either a nice snuggle or another round of the horizontal dance before breakfast.
With Silk........ Now wasn't the best time to wonder about such things. He would agonize over it later in private. Much like how he solved all his other crisises of the soul.
"Dick punched by a fucking cat. That's......Definitely a new one." He muttered with a wet chuckle. His hands began to massage the small of her back and the top of her thigh as he wondered what to say next.
"Not gonna lie. Been waiting a damn long time for a chance to do all that." He mused with a dreamy smile. "Worth it."

"Bandit, screwing with the lives of men I bedded for 14 years now."
Silk said trying to make a joke though it didn't quite come out the way she had wanted it too. She blamed him for that. His hands rubbing against her was quite distracting. Not that she was ready to jump him again mind you, but it had been a long time since she'd bedded anyone and so the gentle touching after rabbit like mating.... yeah, it through her off. When Marcus mused and dreamy faced, Silk blinked. A wicked little smirk played over her lips as she looked down at him.
"Really now? For how long are we thinking? Since you arrived here, or since our teen years?"
Silk was actually curious. It always interested her to think that guys had a thing for her. As a teenager, Silk saw herself as such a tom boy, she always was shocked when a male friend admitted to some sort of attraction to her. As she's grown older that changed, though there are times when she forgets that her exotic look draws some wandering eyes. Though, in honesty, she thought Marcus to be the LAST guy to think of her like that. They had always been good friends. Fighting each other with little to no sincerity, and yet... still ready to snap each others neck if need be.
Silk could scold him, he could scold her and they would still talk to each other after it was through. They never really stopped being friends, even when they were on opposing sides. They took the challenge like a fun new game and tried to see which one would come out on top and the winner always had the respect of the loser. Silk honestly believed she had been too much of a tom boy for Marcus to see her as anything else, especially considering his much more feminine choices back when they were in school.
Had Silk ever looked at Marcus another way? Sure, once or twice. She always tended to look at her guy friends at least a little, as a 'what if...' scenario. Though most of them were either taken or really not her type. Marcus had been one of the rare few she actually looked at with the thought of 'yeah, he'd work' but he'd been taken so she never made any moves. Though, sometimes when she felt more angry at who he'd been dating, she thought about how easy it would be to liberate him from that spastic blind bimbo. Those thoughts always made her smile back then.

"Since the Rose." Marcus replied without hesitation, the corner of his lip curled up into a half grin as he ceased his affectionate petting and wrapped his muscular and heavily scarred arms under his head. "Since the distance. Since the frustrations. Since I met you mabey."
Cryptic yes, but the mans thoughts weren't flowing as easily as he wanted them to be. Marcus had always harbored a measure of lust for the exotic chilean woman. Where most of the guys saw a brash and crude tomboy, Marcus saw soft curves, a full body and a fiery spirit to match his own.
Kelsie was cute and adorable and safe and willing, oh so willing. Her sob story, her apparent weakness tugged his protective instincts in all the right ways. She let him be her shining knight defending the honor of his lady and he thought that was what he wanted, he thought that was enough.
Oh what a fool he was.
"By the time We started working together, Kelsie and I....we were starting to see storm clouds loom over our little happy meadow. It was about then that I found myself looking at you thinking 'you know what, if I wasent going out with her right now......'. She was just so....boring. So careful, so fragile until she bared her little fangs and started playing her stupid little games."
Marcus eyes were looking far away as he spoke, remembering the old days. He had even fought a war for his little blind darling and all she could do was fuss and worry and get herself hurt no matter how many times he insisted on her learning self defence.......
"But you?" His eyes suddenly focused on the Mocha skinned Chilean sitting on his taut belly. "You were everything she wasn't. Dangerous, fun, exotic, fiery. Full of passion and spit and fuck the world with a frying pan if it tried to tell you different. Did I mention fun? I could trust you in ways I could never trust her and I seriously loved you for it. Sometimes........sometimes I found myself wondering how everything would have worked out if you and I hooked up with each other back then instead of who we were with. The civil war, Stien, graduating. Everything."
Marcus had Never dared speak these words aloud before. They were a snapshot into a part of his soul he kept hidden for himself and himself only. If there was ever a time to say the one thing that had been weighing his soul down for all these years, now was the time to say it.
"I missed you. Ever since you left New York, I missed having you around. Everything was so much more grey and boring without you. It was kinda why I panicked and ripped right over when I got your letter."

Since the rose? That was a long time. Though his words grew more cryptic as he continued to speak. The summery was though, that it had been for a while. With the words of Kelsie, though Silk would have liked to keep her face neutral, her dislike for the female clearly showed through. She scrunched up her nose as if the name brought back some rancid smell with it. For Silk it had. It was normal for the tomboyish spanish woman to dislike most of the girls her friends dated. Silk's big thing was that even if she disliked the person, she would keep it to herself if she could. She had kept her dislike for Kelsie a secret up until the Rose, where in her opinion, Kelsie showed her ass, a lot. That is something coming from Silk, who showed her ass regularly, in both the figurative and literal sense.
Silk had a blind best friend and so she had no sympathy for Kelsie when the blond blind girl came into her store. Since Silk found it hard for her to make friends with females, she did try for Marcus' sake, to be kind to Kelsie. However, when Kelsie wanted attention in the middle of work hours, Silk got annoyed. She knew that a blind person could tell the difference between smoke and incense. Her best friend Arwen could at least. When Silk lit the incense and Kelsie launched into this "Oh my god Fire!" routine, that really got on Silk's nerves as the little blond princess nearly broke everything in her store trying to drag Marcus, the big burly teen boy he was, out the door.
The memory of that left a sour taste in the spanish woman's mouth as she remembered wanting very badly to yank the little blond around by her curly hair and slam her face into a wall for being so stupid. Arwen had no qualms with sitting in Silk's store. Arwen was one of the rare females that Silk would consider a friend. Arwen had proven herself a fighter, despite her blindness, and proven herself capable of handling her own problems. Though Arwen was far from being a mini-Silk, the silver haired woman still saw her as a little sister. Silk naturally believed that if you lacked something, you make up for it by being better at something else.
Though Silk would have never liked to admit it, Arwen was much faster than her. She assumed it was needed because of the younger half spanish girl not being able to see. In either case, Silk greatly detested Kelsie both for her weakness, stupidity and for the shit that she managed to put Marcus through.
Silk's eyes focused on Marcus again as he lay there. Her mind had drifted off to thoughts of the past just like his had. When he talked about her, it almost sounded like he placed her on some pedastle. The thought of that made Silk snicker.
"I was far too much trouble for you back then. You would have gotten fed up and we would have had a serious fight and then I would have broken you."
Silk, no matter how weak she looked or even felt, always tried to believe that she would win no matter what. If she believed she could do it, nine times out of ten, it worked out for her. The spanish woman rarely lost her fights and when she did, it was because she wanted a friend more than an enemy. She was unique in more than just her looks. People gravitated towards her, she grew on them and then they would be friends for a long time.
Though she understood Marcus's words about "what if..." She found herself lost in that world a lot even while married to Tenchi. She had never wanted to leave New York but his family, his company, they all needed him.
"Though... I often look back and think that if I could have changed things, I would have."
She admitted before slipping off Marcus and planting her feet firmly on the ground. It had been a while since the last time and so Silk found herself holding onto the wall for support as her legs weren't quite working the way they should. Silk didn't like to have regrets. Things she felt she should have done instead of other things, but staying in New York, not Marrying Tenchi, those were some pretty big regrets. Keeping herself from focusing on those thoughts though, she turned her smirking lips to Marcus.
"Like I would have totally become a home-wrecker just to prove my point."
She figured he'd get it. It was her way of saying she thought about him too at times. Kelsie hadn't deserved Marcus and Tenchi hadn't deserved Silk. Though both of them were drawn to those people for what ever the reason, it clearly hadn't been the right reason as they were no longer with them.
