Public High School 259. Katsuri had spent a lot of time in this place, dealt with a lot as well. Gone through his senior year, and subsequently several years of college, as well as teaching, that last one the most interesting probably. He had a lot of memories in this place. So, it should not have come as too much of a surprise to find him sitting on the edge of what looked to be a connection between where two floors had been.
Normally, this place would have been cleaned up by now, instead, it just looked like a bomb had gone off and froze the moment in time. It was beautiful in a way, at least, it would have been if the circumstances were different.
Gods, Dragons, Pillars... all manner of monstrosities had walked these halls, and it seemed as if they never would again. Barker had ensured that.
The large man finished drawing from the last of that over sized cigarette and flicked it off the edge, watching as the illuminated tip disappeared into the rubble, bouncing about before finally being snuffed.
The sun was coming up. He'd have to go soon, would need to sleep before his next shift. The mountain of a man dropped down from that perch, landing with a rather loud crash in what seemed like a crater only to jump free of it and land on the edge, heading back towards the massive fence lining the area.
In the sunlight, it was easier to see him, those black earbuds dangling down, bouncing about his chest as he walked. Torso covered in what looked to be a vest, with matching white button up underneath. A set of similar shade pants, and lo tops matching the rest of his suit. The very thing he had been wearing roughly six hours ago when he first got here, after a night 'on the town' so to speak.

whyWHYWHYWHYWHYWHY
The petite little girl with long blonde hair was on the run from a couple homosapien hounds on her tail. Her bare feet tripped over a root within mother Earth staining her white dress with splotches of brown, and a spring of colorful profanities were uttered under her breath as she scrambled back up to create distance. But what little distance was made from the start was lost, and she found herself quickly on the losing side as they drew closer and closer...
Soooo...what is it this girl did to have people chasing after her? Nothing. Except maaaaybe provoke them BUT only because they first provoked her. She had been wandering around all night trying to find her way back home (poor little thing had a terrible sense of direction), and stumbled upon a 'base' where people (mostly men) had gathered for ... she didn't know what for, but they were there. She stopped by to ask for directions but ... one thing led to another and a game of cat and mouse was created. Except she was not having any fun.
Fast forward.
Now she was running across school grounds. She was in familiar territory; she had visited the ruins of 259 earlier that week and knew of places to hide.
But her legs were slowing down. They felt like jello and Jenesis was very close to giving up. She never had a high amount of stamina, and since she practically was running for her life for the past half hour... Adrenaline was dying.
But then she saw a figure from a distance. She was, very much, on the verge of tears.
"Help! Please!"
Her voice was hoarse.

"Help! Please!" The cry of a female, a rather hoarse female from the sound of it. He continued walking for a few more steps, content to ignore it, the music after all was loud enough that he could have ignored it. Then he stopped, shifted head to the side, shook it a bit, and let loose a slight grumble before hands came up and pulled the ear-buds free from his ears.
A turn on the heel of those lo-tops had him facing the person that had been trying to flag him down, hands tucked back into his pockets. Eyes trailed up and saw the group chasing the rather small thing. Mange ridden thugs, from what he could tell at a distance, far larger than their quarry, so the question then why were they chasing her....meh. Best to answer that later.
Those hands were out and if you'd have blinked you'd have missed the large man; A rather large amount of debris the only indication he had been there, falling to the ground in bits and making an awful racket. A blur. A massive blur was bee-lining right for her at this point.
Why for her? Well. He was a sucker for a damsel in distress. He slid in towards her, his body down low, though still out sizing her by quite a bit. Rock and rubble being flung behind him as he scooped her up in one massive arm, letting her land in the other quite easily, akin to a cradle. Then, just as that sliding nearly halted his foot pressed forwards and he'd have gone airborne.
At this point the 'hounds' would have probably stopped in their tracks, if not turned and tried to head the other way. The first would have found the big mans foot coming down from above like an axe. If he did not move in time? Well. Lets just say it was not just an axe in name, as he'd have struck the poor males shoulder hard enough that it would have dislocated instantly, shattered the socket of his shoulder, probably stretched skin to nearly the breaking point, and finally crumpled him into a heap at his feet.
He wasted no time standing over his felled foe, instead, kicking forwards after the other, leaping rather with her in tow. Heel landed solidly on the ground and he turned, aiming to sweep the male, his leg akin to a log coming into the males smaller shins, foot held just right so that the brunt of the force was applied in downwards momentum which meant this one fell to the ground in a way he'd have been rendered unconscious from the blunt trauma.
As he finished? He'd have glanced down at her, looking over mud ridden clothing, trying to gauge why they would have been after her in the first place. Pretty? Money? Territory? Nothing said just yet though, merely that gaze looking her over.

Had she not been loud enough? Was her voice not clear? Her heart fell into pieces when the figure continued his walk. At this point, she was so exhausted that she didn't even think she had the strength to cry. Her legs slowed regardless of her mental screams to keep running; she didn't know what would happen to her if she got caught, but she knew at least that she didn't want to find out.
She blinked.
And the figure was gone. Her pupils narrowed, brain trying to make sense of the situation amidst the growing concerns of the men behind her. Unfortunately, the lack of concentration on running was the cause of a second trip- only this time, she was caught.
Had Jenesis been paying more attention to the man, she, too, probably would have started running in the other direction. Wide doe eyes stared up at the behemoth who so effortlessly held her, her entire body literally quaking in fear. The ground beneath his feet also shook, but she was unsure if that was her emotions and lack of control of the Earth or from the steps that he took.
When he leapt, she instinctively latched onto him- though, not even a second later, she let go to cover her ears once she heard a sickening crackle of bones. Her eyes shut closed and jaw clenched... waiting.
She wouldn't have even realized that the man had 'finished'. Slowly, she would have peeked her left eye open revealing a blue orb...and then her right, revealing a contrasting red. Hands were still clasped around her ears but she stared up at him, matching his gaze- yet still shaking, a combination of fear and the entirety of the situation.
She was, more than 'pretty', pure. In the physical sense, she was probably the epitome of that very word. She held a concept of innocence that was largely lost in the world after the bombs fell. Her skin, pale and almost luminescent, was flawless- not a scar touched her body save for two on her back and a barcode tattoo on her neck, both she had obtained years and years ago. It was perhaps a side effect of being one of Barker's many experiments...? Her figure, tiny- could easily pass as an early teenager...and she looked even smaller next to him.
She continued to stare. Her lips parted and she took in a breath--
But something about the situation set off a trigger, and Jenesis' eyes rolled to the back of her head. Hands fell and her body went limp. Her life was, LITERALLY, in the hands of a stranger.

There was no threat posed here, at least not to the male. Dispatching with the two had been quick and painless, and now he was left standing there, the person he had saved out cold in his arms. "And this is why I don't get involved.." Muttered softly to himself, keeping that cradle as he headed once more for the fence. The leviathans house was not too terribly far from here, and given he had zero information about this damsel? Well. Seemed like a better idea than just letting her lay there unconscious.
When he reached the fence he cleared it easily with a small kick off, landing on the other side just as lightly as he had leaped, and away he went. It would have taken about ten minutes with the large mans stride to get where he was going. The place in question looked like some manner of run down fortification. A ten foot tall concrete fence lined the property, barbed wire on the top, and a rather impressive steel door blocking off the inside from the out.
Two keys danced about in his hands to unlock this massive gate and he'd have stepped inside with her quickly after. It swung close and locked itself behind them. If she was still out cold at this point he'd have carried her inside and set her down on the couch, front door locking in the same way as the gate had.. he had a bad tendency to forget about them after all.
He debated, for several minutes, of rather to get her a clean pair of clothes before finally deciding against it given they would be like a tent on her anyhow. Instead settling on a cover and flopping himself down into the nearby leather chair, bottle of wine in hand, and a rather large gulp drained from it. Head falling back and eyes fixated on that ceiling, as he finally stopped to think why the hell did I bring her here anyhow? "So much for an early night."

And she would be out for a couple of hours, at least. A knock out that transitioned into sleeping because of physical and mental fatigue. Her body had a weird knack of going into a self-preservative mode at odd times...one might think survival would mean waking up near immediately and running away some more.
Slowly, she would have stirred awake. Her head was pounding and her legs were sore, but otherwise all else was functioning normally. Her eyes fluttered open and panic near instantly shot down her spine upon realizing that she was not home. And then she remembered- the hounds, the running, and the giant. Abruptly she sat up and looked around, adrenaline pumping in her blood when she confirmed that there was absolutely nothing in the room that bred familiarity.
The cover... She stared down at it, thoroughly confused. The only plausible explanation for her being in unfamiliar territory was that the giant brought her here. Was she in his home? Her hands slowly moved to fold the cover into a neat little square, mind wandering. Was she to repay him for his kindness? What do giants like, anyway?...as if she didn't believe he was human, which was entirely possible...since she believed herself to be a faerie, at one point in time.
All of this would be done without noticing the man lounging about- that is, if he was still there.

That large man was still there, albeit, in a more reclined position, legs propped up on the coffee table. Scattered about him were a few wine bottles, emptied, a bit of a nightcap it seemed. He did not sleep heavily, however, as the moment he heard her moving about his eyes slowly opened and focused on her almost instantly, even if lazy.
As she continued to move about he would have rose slowly to sit up in his chair. Low yawn slipping from his lips, that button up shirt slowly buttoned back to what it had been a few hours ago. "Mmn.. you're awake finally."
He mumbled still tired it seemed, wiping some of it out of his eyes so he could see her better. Those hands gripped the edge of the chair and he hauled himself up to his feet. Glancing over that lithe female once more he'd have drew in a deep breathe and offered a half-assed smile. "Welcome to my humble abode, sorry about the mess, but I was not expecting to bring home company." He figured he'd let her get settled in before he asked questions, but he did want to know about why those hounds were chasing her, and why she was wandering around the ruins anyhow.

When she heard the yawn, Jenesis nearly jumped out of the couch and hopped back, completely startled. She was a little jumpy, especially with being in a stranger's home. She knew nothing of the man except that he could probably break her with just his pinky finger. She stared, eyes wide at the man. Yes...she was finally awake, but she was kind of conflicted on what to feel.
"Thanks...and...sorry."
She felt a bit of an inconvenience to the guy. What time was it, anyway? And man- would daddy be disappointed if he knew of her situation? She would certainly get a scolding when she got home, with it being her first time staying out all night.
When he stood, her head tilted and she stumbled back a bit until falling on her butt. Her neck craned as she stared up at him, in complete awe at how tall he was. She pushed herself onto her feet and onto the couch, where she stood...but still, he was taller.
She blinked. He apologized...?
"EH? Nono, I'm sorry- I kind of- uh-" Jenesis paused, thinking a bit, "-I mean, thanks. And sorry."
She laughed a little nervously. As kind as he was for taking care of her, he was still a stranger. She could see no advantage of her being smaller in his home, and so was a little wary- though considering she was untouched whilst she was sleeping, buuuut still.
".......
"You're tall..."

Seemed it was going to take her longer than he had thought to settle, not that it surprised him too terribly much, what, with the size he commanded. The furniture in this place would have probably seemed off to her. The couch seemed like it could consume her, roughly double the size of a normal couch, both depth and width wise, the same went for that massive chair, and the coffee table his rather large feet had been settled on.
A compress of his toes, and she'd have heard low cracks as he stretched, the ceiling a good twelve feet high in all the rooms of this place, for obvious reasons, given his fingers still nearly touched it.
"That I am, the sky is also blue, and you were being chased by rather unsavory characters this morning." A response of course to her comment of his size, his head following it, turning to look at her, that face a blank drawl, not much there besides the sense of being tired. That gaze landed on the clock and he'd have blinked. Seemed they were out longer than he thought. Four hours. He'd had worse.
"My question though, " He began, smacking lips a bit, cotton ridden it seemed, " is why they were chasing you in the first place. At least. One of my questions anyhow." Said as he walked behind that couch, opening a mini-fridge, and pulling out a rather large bottle, some form of juice label on it, but it was filled to the cap with water instead of its previous inhabitant.
He drained most of it in several gulps and wiped lips before his attention focused back on the lithe little thing in his home.

She was in a giant's home. Everything was super sized in comparison to what Jenesis was normally used to. Her eyes caught onto the ceiling and noticed how it seemed to go up forever, and how she felt like a squirrel sized human on the couch, and--
Yikes! She didn't realize she said that aloud.
Her eyes trailed after him, and eventually, she turned her body around to face him when he walked behind the couch. It seemed that an explanation was needed and she wasn't sure how much she should condense the story, or if she should condense it at all. The man's sheer magnitude in itself quite literally screamed that he was a formidable man- and you never wanted to waste that man's time.
"I was lost and asked for directions," she started, "But I think I asked the wrong crowd..."
She paused, as if to check the validity of her own statement. After agreeing with herself that she, indeed, was not wise in approaching them, continued-
"They said they were bored and wanted to play a game of cat and mouse."
A hard line would form across her mouth and she would turn around and sink into the rather large couch. The feeling of being swallowed up brought a bit of comfort, as odd as that might sound.
"But on the brighter side, they at least gave me a head start."

The giant was used to this, that is, used to people being taken back by his size, and the size of anything he owned. At one point he rode about in a car that would have easily dwarfed and SUV if that was any indication.
Still. She started telling him why those men had been chasing her, directions, lack of courtesy it seemed on their end.. not that he necessarily believed it as it was from the mouth of babes, but, he allowed her to continue completely unabated. Draining the remainder of that bottle he set it down on the top of the fridge, cap next to it, wiping his mouth clean once more.
"Bored?" He asked aloud, brow raising at that one, not that it was unfathomable, especially given the way those men looked. As she finished he just shook his head and shrugged, continuing himself, "And if they had not given you that head start you'd have been a trophy of some sort by now I imagine."
He walked back around that couch and flopped himself down into his chair. "These are troubled times, Barker, Dragons, Gods, devils among men, have ensured this much, I'd recommend far more care be taken when dealing with people you don't know, lest the Jolly Green Giant not be near by the next time you're being chased by savages."

Human trophies? Now that was a weird concept!
She grinned.
"But you're not green!"
But still, she nodded in agreement; his words held nothing but truth. Desperation shouldn't have been the reason for her to forego thinking before taking action. Normally, she would just wander around until she stumbled across one of the other Children, or someone else she knew...but she wouldn't be surprised if daddy told them to fall back to teach little Jen a lesson. She was a little more daring, falling comfortable because someone was always there.
Well- lesson learned.
Bah. If she were near water, or even in the woods, those savages would have been decimated with ease. It was a shame she didn't quite understand how to control the Earth yet; all it did was rumble around her feet whenever she was scared.
"I guess being tall has its advantages in today's world," she mused, "I bet no one tries to fight you!"
Saying this because the men, upon merely seeing the giant, tried to run away. But this guy was quick!
She wondered if he had any fears.
OOC: Bah. All the edits in this thread have literally been to change the font size to 0. Meep. :3

"The size of a man contributes, surely, when dealing with those that would turn tail at the mere sight of something larger... cannot say they were stupid for that instinct, quite the opposite." He said with a smile on his lips after, if she tried to remember she'd have had a inkling of what he meant, as when he had picked her up the very air had been radiating in a far different manner than it was now...less dangerous. He had been known to scare pups with a single glance, but that was often what those sort of men were, pups, snarling and baring their teeth as if they were wolves. Little did they know that the Silverback was having none of their nonsense. "However, " he continued, the smile slowly turning into a grin, "there are those that would not run from me, even when given the chance.. something to keep in mind, that even a display of power does not guarantee retreat, instead it just may hasten your demise. Be sure you have that power before you display it... "
Those eyes seemed to haze for a moment, "Still, best course of action is to avoid conflict unless its necessary, as striking down one often just brings another, if not for revenge than to test your prowess."
He paused, blinked and shrugged, "But I've rambled when I was the one to ask you questions, forgive me." His way of saying, I over thought what you said and babbled, sorry. "Ah, are you thirsty?" He asked, rising back up from that seat he had plopped himself in, seemingly wry and awake now.

Wisdom.
They say that it comes from experience.
When the giant continued to speak, she knew that this was a man with experience; a man that had a lot of wisdom to bestow...perhaps to people like her. Not necessarily innocent and untainted from the world, but the air of naivety held that would be the cause of more harm than good.
Jenesis was pretty adept at avoiding conflict...or at least, she thought herself to be, for someone who wandered about so openly on a daily basis.
"Nono, I'm okay."
She looked up at the walls, as if searching for a clock.
"I should probably get going though- daddy will be worried."
A pause.
"...where are we?"
She knew this was his home but...where was his home located? Bah, not like she would know, but at least she would have something to tell daddy of her whereabouts once she got home.

"Near the outskirts of town." He said this, paused for a moment, and then followed it up. "If I let you walk out of here on your own, will you be safe?" There was no way of knowing to be honest, but, there were at least a varied degrees of safety for her.. in some she would be scooped up the minute she walked outside of his gate on her own, in others she could walk casually all the way home. He had no way of knowing if she could even defend herself given the display this morning.
Belt unhooked, he tucked his shirt back in place, and then tightened the loop of leather back about his waist just snug enough to ensure it did not come free, nor did his pants. Those fingers then came up, inter-looping with one another, flipping inside out, and then arms outstretched. A god awful amount of cracking followed from his knuckles.
Those eyes darted about for a moment, locking on his shoes before returning his gaze to her. She seemed small, frail, but, he'd seen smaller that were fire, ice, and destruction. Could not say she had the personality for all that, however.
