The sounds of his bones cracking gave her rather painful memories of the laboratories she's lived in; something almost akin to the sound of thunder. She winced just a bit but recovered quickly, shifting her thoughts back over to his question.
"Will I be safe?"
The question was repeated as a means to think aloud- not really for him to answer. She thoughtfully looked up at the ceiling and contemplated if she, indeed, would be 'safe' once leaving the gates of the giant's home. On one hand, she was fairly sure that papa's men were somewhere nearby...but probably didn't have the balls to get too close, since she was in giant territory. On the other hand, if papa really was trying to teach her a lesson, then it was possible that he didn't send his men...plus, she was directionally challenged, so even though he said 'outskirts of town', she still had no idea where that was.
"Yeah, I think so!"
A short pause.
"Can I have some water before I leave?? It doesn't have to be clean."
Meaning...it wouldn't be for drinking. But if drinking water was all that he had, then she would repay his kindness doubly (one for housing her, and two for providing for her) in some manner; probably not at that moment, but she would return!...somehow.

| Katsuri Katashi | | | | His focus was on her as she repeated his words, waiting for her response... the one he got was alright, not really the one he was expecting, but it meant that she was not afraid for her life. The comment of water, clean or not, would have had him disappear from the room, gone for only about twenty or so seconds before returning, a decent sized bottle offered to her nearly full of water.
The big man would bring up the issue of safety once more, "Are you certain you'll be alright? I can at least accompany you until you get out of Barkers territory.. its not nearly as bad away from here." Which was the truth, though most of the issues came from Barkers grunts, whom had no sense of decency ninety-nine percent of the time. Katsuri had dealt with it numerous times, at least, until he was employed at the Boom Boom Room.. 'gainful' employment and a rather influential boss often helped in getting people to mind their own business.
This meant his little fortress was basically ignored save for a few idiots now and then.. and he had a nice big ditch a few blocks over he would gladly bury them if they decided he was a good target. | |

"Thanks!" she exclaimed, taking the water bottle which in turn made her feel more confident. "Can I have the whole thing?"
And then his offer. At this, she grinned and thought again for another moment- walking with the giant seemed like a pleasant and fun idea, though wasn't completely necessary. She also didn't want to waste his time, considering she didn't even know what direction 'home' was. Didn't really know territories very well, except that she had to walk north. Didn't really know which way 'north' was, though.
"If you're not too busy!"
She held onto the bottle of water and, if the--
Waaaait a minute...
"I'm Jenesis, by the way!"
She held out her free hand for a shake, a wide grin on her face. She didn't mean to go this far in conversation without even knowing the giant's name! Aw, for shame- she had better manners than that. And, if the giant started walking toward the exit, she would follow closely behind.

| EXAMPLE CAPTION YO | | katsuri katashi | | "Too busy? No. Its quite alright. Besides, its about time to take the animals out for their walk."
What animals was the large man talking about exactly? Poor Jenesis would have felt some rather heavy breathing a few feet behind her, a pair of wolves, rather large wolves in fact, nearly the same size as the small girl, right behind her.
Giant. Just as that man in front of her. "Ah...well. Jenesis. I am Katsuri.. and those two are Grey Wind and Ghost."
The wolves did not seem to even care about the fact that a stranger was in their home as their master was not aggressive towards said person. Instead they would have merely walked up beside Katsuri, waiting to leave the house as they did most afternoons. The two were timber wolves, the largest Katsuri had ever seen. For comparison they came up to his hip which made them roughly fifty-inches tall, or four-foot two inches, and roughly two-hundred pounds to boot.
They had been born runts, however, which was the reason they were in Katsuri's home. He had found them abandoned in the forests of Alaska while he was on his trek back across to North America from Asia. Although these were massive wild animals, they somehow managed to look like normal dogs next to the behemoth.
His hands fell down to both, lightly ruffling the scruff of their necks before offering her a smile. Ghost, similar to her name had white fur, while Grey Wind had a far darker color to her fur, nearly black in some places, while most was simply grey.
Her hand offered out to him though had that right rising up, grabbing hers with only those first two fingers and his thumb for a gentle shake before he stepped past her, wolves following close to his heels before he opened the front door and they walked out. He stood there holding it open for her to continue with them.

"...animals...?"
She turned around and--
"BAH!!!!!"
She shrunk back a bit at the sight of the large creatures, more out of surprise than of fear. Eyes widened as they simply walked past her in such a graceful manner for being so large. They were beautiful.
"They're SO FLUFFY!" I'M GUNNA DIEEEE!!!!!
Large grin on her face as she plopped outside after the wolves.
"Can I pet them? Will they bite me?" asked with eager anticipation. She just wanted to schnuggle up to 'em.

| katsuri katashi | | He certainly had not been expecting her reaction to the wolves, most of the time people tended to get defensive, even if there was no need for that sort of nonsense. It was a welcome change. "By all means, please, they wont bite unless you threaten them or me." Well, threatened him with his life, or them with harm.. they knew when to stay out of his fights at least, they had been around the gorilla long enough to know that much. Ghost plopped herself down into a seated position, tilting her head at the rather excited female, curious obviously, and probably the less apprehensive of the two. Grey Wind on the other hand, although more wary of strangers, did not seem aggressive, instead just remained standing, a creature that could have easily rivaled the girls own height at shoulder, watching, tongue just slightly lolling out of her mouth.
Katsuri followed after the three and closed the door, making sure to hear the click from the inside and give the fairly large swing handle a jiggle. A step down off his porch and he'd have smiled at the sight. "Grey Wind is the black one, she is a little wary of strangers but should be fine. Ghost on the other hand is liable to smother you with affection if you let her, shes closer to a dog than a wild animal honestly." | | KATSURI KATASHI [ BIO ] | | Height | 8'4" | Weight | 502lbs | Hair Col. | Black | Eye Col. | White | Gang Affil. | N/A | Job | Bouncer | | STR | 80 | CON | 83 | DEX | 83 | INT | 85 | WIS | 80 | CHA | 80 |
