To Challenge a Dragon (Elder Dragons Only)

As the Flames roared toward him, David watched them come, and grinned. Kazuya was jumping away. See, the thing about fire? It's wild. Uncontrollable. When you tether it to a leash, you better make damn sure you keep that leash connected. Qi only worked, after all, through touch. David's Qi worked because his skin touched air. Mathews, because his feet were planted on the ground.

Kazuya made fire, from nothing. While this could be devastating, he also left it to run wild on it's own when he broke connection through launching it. That Gave David some pleasant abilities. Some...control. Fire burned brightest and hottest with a little air. But when you stick it in a jar and put on the lid, it's oxygen burns up quickly...

He took a sharp, deep breath, before holding out a hand. He ripped the oxygen from around himself like a vacuum, and any wild flames that Kazuya left to run on their own would find themselves trying to burn- nothing. This small field of oxygenless area was about six inches around his body, so as Kazuya watched, David would stand and smile...

Before holding up a hand, palm toward the sky. Thunder slashed, and clouds blazed up over the skyline, ripping in about them with a gale force wind....and rain began to fall. And pour. The fissures Kazuya made, David would merely jump right and roll, standing and letting out his breath.

"Your Qi is powerful, Kaz. Now...lets see how you dance without it."

The storm was already there, but otherwise, the wind would die down. David was impressed with Kazuya's control over fire. He was worthy of the name he sought, at least in Qi. It was time for Kaz to bleed. And for David to bleed. To spill red with their fists in a storm... and to truly test his metal.

OOC:

(Level 7 Ability) Veor Heita - "Storm Call". This is an ability that allows David to call in storms from far off location. The ability has developed inwardly with the growth of Davids Charisma, growing stronger and more easily able to be controlled. David could, potentially, call down lightning, control tornadoes and there path, or even thrash an entire area with a hurricane. This ability cuts Davids CHA in half for a period of 5 posts.

Watching his flames burn nothing, Kazuya was not surprised by the fire being completely snuffed out by the vacuum David had created around him, the man controlled air for fuck's sake, fire could only be sustained if it had an oxygen source, and a vacuum... provided none. As thunder boomed throughout the sky, clouds blazing up over the skyline and ripping about them with gale force winds, followed by rain pouring down on them, like the heavens themselves had opened up, while David had a smile on his face, Kazuya would have a small smile tugging at the corners of his mouth.

Raising his fire to the hottest and highest temperature he possibly could, the rain pouring down unable to even touch him, much less drench him currently, the fissures he had created were evaded by David unsurprisingly. The fire surrounding him dying down, the rain immediately drenching and soaking him, wordlessly and without warning, Kazuya would take off towards David. Time to make both of them bleed.

The moment he was within striking range, he would launch a barrage of lightning quick punches at David's face, ending with a full strength straight right punch, fully expecting David to evade, block, or even counter his strikes.

David didnt do any of the three-

Instead he grinned and launched forward- all sense of defense was gone. He would launch his punches out for Kazuyas face, aiming to hit him repeatedly. Kazuyas fists would hit him hard, and fast- within moments, blood would be flying from his lips from each blow. The point was simple- keep hitting and getting hit until David was impressed. Several minutes of this would go by before David would bring back both of his hands and aim to catch Kazuyas fists. His chin, nose and left cheek were bloody, from cuts and damage. His eye was bruising and he and deep bruising on his right cheek. Still, he grinned a red smile-

Then would nod- as though to say that would be all be needed. Then he would stand and take several deep breaths before he spoke.

"You want my opinion? Wait a while longer, Kaz. You need to grasp, mentally, the name and its purpose. You need time to let the name come out on its own. Of course- its not really up to me."

He would look up at Leon and give a nod of respect before giving his attention to Kaz and smirking.

"You have my vote of approval, Kaz. Take the vote from Mathews hands, take what you desire- and the name is yours."

He would turn and float his items back onto his person as he walked away- no pomp or celebration. The pride was Kazuyas- no one elses. Though David was unnerved by Kazuyas sudden, drastic increase in strength since he saw him last, he supposed the fire user knew what he was doing, And David wouldn't judge.

He would take to the skies, blood still dripping, leaving Kazuya to complete his final test.

Just as quickly as Kazuya's punches connected with David's face, so too would David's punches quickly connect with Kazuya's face. With each punch, blood flew from Kazuya's mouth, painting the ground beneath them red with each respective individual's blood. David bringing his hands back and catching Kazuya's fists after several minutes of the blood fest, Kazuya would grin a just as red wide smirk back at David.

Both his cheeks were bloody from the multiple cuts that had opened up, blood ran down the bridge of his nose from a cut that ran horizontally across it, and his forehead was bloody from all the cuts opened up on it. His smirk fading into a serious expression, he would lower both his fists after being released from David's grip, breathing in hard from the sheer amount of physical fatigue brought on by the blows exchanged.

"... Since the day you appointed me as your Varsity Captain, I followed you without fear, without hesitation. I respected and valued your advice and opinions... That hasn't changed, even now. But I desired more than just to establish my individuality. I desired, perhaps even obsessed, to grow stronger to defeat you and step out of your shadow, to finally stop playing catch up with you."

Returning David's smirk with a small one of his own, he would watch The Storm Dragon take his leave, his items floated back onto him, before engulfing his entire body in flames, instantly cauterizing the multiple cuts on his face shut, before turning to The Lightning Dragon, awaiting possible instructions on his final test. The Earth Dragon's test.
