Things Left Behind (Open)

[Arael Hiroshi]

With the Earth dragon's seal on her shirt, and a sword strapped to her back, Arael walked steadily out of God territory into Neutral territory.

She was on her way to one of the many ravaged beachside houses that were scattered across the seaside. One of them used to belong to her Aunt and Uncle, and that was the one she was going to. In her grief the day before, she had left her belongings and her weapons there. She walked in silence until someone came along.

Koshiro had watched her leave the mansion and once he had calmed down, followed. He was fast so he caught up. He ran silently though, as to not draw attention. When he finally caught up he would make enough noise so that he wouldn't scare her.

As he finally caught up he slowed to a walk.

"Hey Ari. Sorry about back there. I'm not usually so quick to temper like that. Thank you for what you said to Zax. I was about to.....never mind. The point is. I said I'd come with you and I am one to keep my word." Koshiro said. No sign of being out of breath at all.

Arael heard Koshiro coming so she wasn't surprised when he came up behind her. She took in a deep breath, then let it out again a few seconds later. She replied. "It's alright Koshiro, but don't thank me for what I said. It was rude and un-thoughtful, and I shouldn't have told him off like that." She sighed again and shook her head hard. After a few more yards she spoke again. "Ok, different subject. How are you not still limping? You looked like you were in bad shape this morning." She asked curiously.

"The run actually did loosen me up."he streched a little as they walked.

"I feel much better now. Not worried about me are you?" He said with just the slightest hint of flirting, but he still wasnt making a move.

"That's good, I'm glad you don't hurt as much. And I always worry about my friends, of which I count you one." Ari said honestly.

They walked along for a while talking about many different things. Then Arael asked what was, or what might be, the forbidden question. "So. Please don't get mad at me, but I have to ask, because it is driving me nuts! It's about your dad, Malakai. Nono. Hear me out. Why do you never want me to meet him? I mean, is he..." She hesitated for a split second. "Is he evil, or something?"

Koshiro stopped. He wasn't mad. He appreciated the honesty and curiosity. He stood and waited for her to meet his gaze (not hight) and then he would speak.

"He was once a great man. He was corrupted by power.....you know I had this whole speech planned out....the truth is he is evil. If he thought he could gain from it. Hed kill you without hesitation. He almost killed me once." He rolled up his shirt after removing his jacket for a moment and showed he the long scar down his arm and then some on his back. He was fairly muscular for such a skinny guy. After he put his jacket back on he continued.
"The man tried to hire me to kill my own mother, back when I was a mercenary. When I refused the contract he tried to kill me then disowned me from the family. Who knows what crap story he gave her over it. After this I'm going to see her, but I dont want him near you until I know if Rai's. ...."training" is going to work. I wouldnt want him to hurt you. Not that I think he would, but it may change your opinion of the WarHazzard family.....which I and my cousin are a part of." He spoke kindly to her and wasn't sure how it would all settle with her, but for now he would continue walking.

[Hone]

From a distance, in a prairie that was next to the beach, Zax was listening, watching, and following silently. He got ticked off at Koshiro when he lifted his shirt to Ari. Then Zax walked straight into a rock and rolled head over heals down a slope leading to the beach. Then he would roll right in front of them. Zax lifted his head to his friends. "Oh, hello," he said as he rubbed his head.

Rai had been walking along silently listening to the two talk, not adding in his own input just choosing to listen. Then... here came Zax...

"What in the hell are you doing?"

Rai said looking down at him.

"You are not Sonic the Hedgehog so I'd suspect you shouldn't try traveling like him. ALSO, when doing something like Oh I don't know following someone secretly and listening to their conversation you shouldn't just jump in front of them and join the group. Either follow and listen or join at the beginning, I mean really lad."

Then Rai shook his head.

[Hone]

"Heh-heh, yeah. How are you doing today, Master?" Zax said smiling at Rai as he got up like it didn't even happen. Though every once and a while he'd look over to his crush, Ari. He was blushing after doing that in front of Ari.

When Koshiro showed Arael his scar, her eyes grew humongously wide at the thought that his own father had done that to him. It was almost unbelievable in her eyes. Then he said that the same man (She couldn't even think of him as Koshiro's father anymore) had tried to hire him to murder his mother. That. Was unbelievable. "Wh-what? What would drive a man to that!" She stuttered. "What would drive a man to ask his own son to murder... You know what? I don't care. And I'll tell you this. One person in a family will never spoil the rest of a family for me. I don't judge a family one one person alone."

Then. There was Zax. Oh, my, Goodness! He's like the annoying little brother that no-one likes, and he's not even little! She thought to herself. None of her thoughts showed on her face though.

Koshiro kept walking and stepped over Zax completely ignoring him in EVERY way.

"Well, thank you for saying that, but I don't want him to hurt you. He is ruthless. I don't know what he would even do if he met you." (ooc: Tee Hee.....) He spoke as if neither Zax or Rai had been speaking, he wasn't mad at them, just he had seen them already and really shouldn't have been surprised they were here in the first place.......

"He has a lasting impression, but anyway. Tell me about you. We have talked remarkably little all things considered...." He said surprised at his own words.

The bombs were falling on the coast of San Diego. Vincent could see the flames belching into the sky as he and the rest of his platoon stood by and watched in horror from the ship's guard rails. Several were outraged, others were in tears, while others looked like they were about to go insane. An explosion rocked the ship as a bomb slammed into its flight deck, sending pieces of metal, concrete, Sailors and Marines flying into the ocean. Another bomb hit the ship, ripping apart the bow and Vincent felt himself falling into the deep blue water, tinted orange by the flames. Slowly, the choppy waves seemed to get closer and closer. He then crashed into the water

Vincent woke up with a start kicking out the wooden support of his makeshift shelter made of scrap metal and random planks laying around. The entire structure came crashing down on him as Vincent held up his arms to protect his face from smaller debris that may find its way into his eye. The young man had taken shelter in the remnants of a house that had been destroyed and long abandoned. It had been a windy night so he decided to take shelter rather than take the risk of wasting energy for no good reason. He grumbled audibly as he struggled to shake the debris that had piled on top of him. "Freaking dammit, stupid pile of.." After a couple seconds of struggling, Vincent managed to push the metal and wood off of him. "It was only a dream... only a dream.." A familiar one at that. Vincent had compartmentalized that memory deep inside of his mind, that time when the bombs fell.

After Vincent calmed down, he realized that he had exposed himself to a group of young teenagers not too far off in the distance. At least, they looked very young to him. Almost like.. children.

Zax would be bewildered at the sight of this guy that came out of rubble. But then he just shrugged and continued. He caught up with Ari and Koshiro, but was on the opposite side of Ari than Koshiro was. "Welll, why don't you share anything with me? I mean we've talked less than you and Koshiro have. I mean I know what it's like to lose family, so we have quite a bit in common," Zax suggested to Ari. Then he looked at Koshiro with stern face behind Ari as they kept walking. He would mouth the words 'back off' and go back to smiling at Ari.

Rai turned as the rubble collapsed off to the side and saw a man come up from the rubble. It was an interesting sight to say the least but it was not Rai's place to judge. When he made eye contact with the stranger Rai would nod his head in greeting but otherwise would not make any advancement towards the man if the stranger approached him then he would engage in conversation.

Koshiro continued as if Zax was never there. Not noticing him behind Ari. Just kept talking with her like nothing ever hhappened.
