((OoC: Yes, I'm so lazy I used a unreply thread as my meeting thread instead of making a new one. ^_^;; So... Mitsuki only!))
A steady breeze came in off the ocean, lending a nice cooling contrast to the hot some high in the sky. Many a man and woman were making their way to the beach to enjoy a Sunday in the sun. Even early in the morning the beach had begun to overflow with people. The shore side businesses were packed as well, people going from store to store, restaurants serving people left and right. Summer was coming to a close and the rush would settle once many of the vacationers left for their homes outside the city limits. It was just past ten in the morning when Saint glanced at his cell phone as his breakfast sandwich arrived. The small seaside café where he was grabbing breakfast was just down the road from his home, which was almost empty. His mother had a conference in Las Vegas and had left Friday night and his penguin Fleet was there, but asleep. That was partially the reason he left, Saint was on his way to get food for his pet penguin and had decided to grab himself a quick breakfast, though not too quick, since he was going to meet the school captain.
Even this small café was packed to the point that perfect strangers, at least those who were kind enough, shared their tables with newcomers. At the moment Saint was by himself, though that would not last long. After hearing about this “pillar system” Saint had arranged a meeting with the school captain, a girl named Mitsuki, to see what he could do about becoming a pillar. Part of him wanted to use the position’s power to help the other students, the other part of him wanted to just stay in the shadows of anonymity. He took a quick sip of his orange juice before flipping through the morning’s paper. The sports section was the part he was looking for, nothing else was all that interesting to him, sure he read a few main articles here and there but nothing all that major. He set the rest of the paper of to the side as a small breeze came through, while Saint scratched absent-mindedly at his disfigured toes. A sleeveless white shirt, black shorts and sandals weren’t exactly meeting dress, oh well, he was at the beach.

The red haired girl walked quietly through the masses of people on a wonderful morning such as this ones. The light breeze from the ocean brushed past her hair, tickling her creme colored skin as she patiently walked down the cement paved sidewalk with sand gliding against the ground with the wind pushing it down further. Her brown flip-flops lightly clapped against the floor with every step she took, her red hair tucked behind her ears, her arms hanging by her side as they rocked back and forth when she moved. The nice, cool breeze blew past again, whispering in her ear, making a faint whistling sound as she ignored the people surrounding her, also making their way to their own destination. So why, you may ask, was Mitsuki doing on a lovely morning such as this, at a beach alone, by herself, instead of taking pictures at a park of mother nature? Simple. She had a meeting with one of the possible pillars. 'Tis a shame her morning had to be wasted on this... 'Tis a shame.
Making her way towards a cafe, Mitsuki stopped, turning on her heel slowly as her right arm stretched out, her fingers wrapping around the door handle, and gently pushed the door open. Almost immediately, her yellow orbs began searching the area for a boy, from what she was told, and her eyes caught interest on a boy who was reading the newspaper. He was alone, so she guessed it was he who was to become one of the future pillars. She was wearing a different attire today, but not too different. She wore beige cargo capris that hugged her waist, and a nice, navy blue button down short sleeved shirt, the top two buttons undone as a silver necklace hung around her bare neck. On her face was the usual mask she always wore, the black and red one, that seemed to really just match every clothing she had back at home.
So...that's him?
Her legs slowly carried her to where he was sitting, and took a seat in front of him, her eyes having a curious tint in them as she folded her hands on her lap and leaned slightly against her chair, her head tilted slightly, almost waiting for him to say something. She decided it would be best to be friendly, besides...she would be working with him in the future. So underneath that coughing mask of hers, she parted her lips and spoke, her calm, patient voice ringing out softly, muffled by the mask covering her face.
"...Hello..."

A muffled voice fell on Saint’s ears changing his focus from the black paint of the paper to the voice’s point origin. A girl sat across the table from him wearing a normal outfit, but she also wore a mask. How odd that she would wear such a thing. He pushed the thought aside, knowing that she must have had her reasons for it. Finishing a bite of his breakfast sandwich, the boy set his paper aside to be as polite as possible since he was speaking with the school captain. There had to be something to her if she attained that title. The chewed food slid down the back of his throat as he nodded politely before smiling casually with a small gesture.
“Hello. You must be Mitsuki. Please if there is anything you want, feel free to ask… my treat.”
It was always nice to be nice. Not to mention the offer stood as a sort of gesture of good faith between the two of them. They would be working together if Saint got the pillar position so they should get to know each other better and learn to trust each other. Or so he figured, frankly he had never been in this type of situation. His last school did not have a captain or anything of the kind for that matter. After a moment Saint rested his elbows on the table’s edge making a sort of bridge with his hands to rest his chin. With clear green eyes and a bright white smile, Saint looked across the table before continuing his gentle, polite and almost timid tone.
“I’m glad you came. I am Zachariah Rose, but everyone calls me Saint. As you well know I wish to fill this position of pillar, if possible. However I am not quite sure as to what it entails, perhaps you could enlighten me? But rest assured I would be pleased to help in any way possible. After all, these students need a chance, right?”
There was no getting around the overly optimistic and naïve view points that Saint’s little speech voiced. He had no idea about any sort of fighting that might go on within the school, nor did he think for a second that he couldn’t turn his fellow classmates in good students and upstanding citizens. Though if you knew the slightest bit about him, it wasn’t all that shocking.

Zachariah Rose. She remained silent during the time he was speaking, giving a nod or two to let him know she was listening. It seemed that this boy answered all her questions before she even asked them, which was quite surprising. She blinked twice, hands placed neatly on her lap as she kept her eyes on Saint, searching for any sign of regret when he spoke, which she found none of, or so she thought. Her yellow orbs left the boy when he finished speaking, turning towards the clock on the wall that was hung up high on the other side of the room - her brother was waiting, so she'd have to make this meeting a quick one, and move on to the next. She turned towards Saint, her back against the chair, leaning slightly against it as she brushed a couple of strands of her bangs out of her eyes. A muffled voice escaped her throat and lips once again as she began to talk.
"No thank you, I have to make this quick. If you accept the job of being a pillar, you will have to help the student body as much as you can. Violence should not be tolerated in school between two other students, however, we are being slightly hypocritical because, from what I learned from the past captain, we..."punish" those who start them, or harm innocent beings. If someone challenges you for your title of the pillar - should you accept the job first - and you lose, then the pillar title is automatically lost and the challenger gets your title. You can win your title back by challenging him/her another time. If you accept the title of being a pillar, many will challenge you for the title itself... And in general, I'm basically saying you're going to be fighting quite a lot. And yes, I am offering you the title."
Taking a deep breath, she gave out a small sigh and closed her eyes for a minute, organizing her thoughts once again. Her left hand rose from her lap and rubbed the side of her neck, and opened her yellow orbs once again as she turned to look at the boy. A questioning glance was from her eyes, as if wondering what his answer would be. She still had one or two more people to interview, for the third pillar position. She already had the first one in mind, and this boy would be the second if he chose to accept. As for the third position, well, let's just say she didn't really know about that one yet.

Punish the students? Challenge for the title? Why did everything at this school seem to revolve around violence? Perhaps Saint could change this aura of conflict that the school generated. Though to think such a thought would be in part fueled only by arrogance, there was no way he could begin to believe he could do such a thing. For a moment Saint remained silent, debating whether or not to take on the duties being a pillar entailed. He wanted to help people but the fighting… he was unsure whether or not he could actually do it. But despite his doubts, Saint felt he had to at least try, perhaps someone more qualified would take the title in the future anyway.
“Alright then… I’ll do it. It was a pleasure meeting, Captain Mitsuki.”
He spoke in a playful tone, thinking that she did not want to be called such a thing. With a slight nod Saint extend his hand in a friendly gesture. For the most part their meeting was done… unless she had something further, but she seemed in a hurry to get somewhere. Saint had no intentions of preventing her from doing what she needed to do. Not to mention he had some business of his own to attend this day.
