Kiyr would be overcome with pain in a paralyzing manner.
And around the corner coming to a screeching halt would be a six foot tall lithe man in a dark blue dirty suit. His hair a dark green and his eyes brown. Catching sight of Levi and Kiyr he'd approach cautiously.
"Oy, this is going to sound crazy, but your friend there is in danger. If you want to save her bring her and follow me."

What was Levi doing..? Kyrie tipped her head l, a hand coming up before her gaze shot towards him. Hide? She was no coward! Kyrie did, however, realize that without her qi she would be at a disadvantage. And whatever it was, it was strong enough that he was concerned. It bore consideration. Her hand rerouted itself to grasp the hilt of one of the daggers.
Lightning lit the sky above them, and Kyrie's eyes flashed. She nodded as the thunder rolled behind. She didn't mind the fact she was soaked.
But as she made her way towards the door, to crouch out of sight to perhaps fight when necessary...the pain hit. Immediately, her legs crumpled, unable to bear her weight. A breathless gasp left her mouth, followed closely by a hoarse sound of pain. Her muscles twitched of their own accord. Otherwise, she was prone and helpless. It was about tied with the pain Mason had inflicted on her.

Levi's concentration broke as Kyrie collapsed and began to spasm. He turned his head, still is a ready state for whatever was coming, "Kyrie!!"
Seeing the blonde like that took precedent and he rushed over to her side. He wanted to say or ask something, but he knew asking her to answer or do anything at this point was almost cruel. He place his left hand inside hers when it wasn't clasped shut, allowing her to squeeze his hand to let her know he was there for her, his voice shaking and his breathing quickened, "I'm here, just let it out.....it hurts more to fight it."
Levi's nerves settled almost instantly for a moment as the qi signature he had been tracking stopped within sight. He looked up from his crouched position from Kyrie to see one of, if not THE strangest people he had ever laid eyes on. His eyebrow cocked as he listened to the man's words in slight disbelief. It was too convenient and it sounded way too good to be true. However, as much as he wanted to simply tell the man to just fuck off, Levi's situation was desperate as Kyrie's pain was almost tangible and surely life threatening. If this man had any ability to actually helping them, Levi would be folly to not at least find out what the man was truly offering. Levi gently lifted the writhing shadow dragon into his arms, holding her tightly, his hand still entwined with hers, and walked briskly to the lithe man.
Levi stared up into the man's eyes with a fierce expression and he responded with a slight growl in his voice, "Right now is NOT the time to fuck with me....if you're lying, I'll rip your throat right out from under your head...lead the way."

The guy would lead to a near by building on the outskirts of Dragon territory, and inside. It was just a small one bedroom apartment, then with the flip of a lever easily hidden as an umbrella in a basket next to the door it opens to an underground bunker/laboratory.
"Quickly, place her on the table, I will explain."
He would move over to get her vitals.
"I am Zack Asiv, I've been tracking the thing she fought for a few days. I've come to call them 'Beasts'. It seems to be some sort of new experiment Barker is doing. Instead of the usual method of awakening the natural Qi of an individual as we are used to he has been spending his time trying to figure out how to artificially induce this."
Zack would go to a screen and pull up an image of the usual experiments Levi has likely run into using normal Qi stuff like fireballs and ice spears.
"As you know these are much weaker than the real thing, and far too unstable. Somehow though recently he has made Qi into a literal liquid. He is testing it on his soldiers turning them into these 'Beasts'. The one your friend ran into I have named 'Beta'."
Zack would bring up a slightly blurry picture on the screen of the beast Kiyr tango'd with.
"The extreme change the body goes through is usually represented by the weird mask thing. Qi is the true persona, attitude, or beliefs of a person, this mask seems to be a representation that its not truly who they are. The only bad thing is that they are infectious. Your friend is infected by this injection."
He'd let that sink in for only a second or two.
"Where its life threatening is she is well to the point of adept and attached to her Qi, this foreign body is acting like a virus and attacking her in every way, mentally, physically, emotionally, and spiritually. They will negate each other unless the virus can be held back on the 'True' part of the nature. There is a way, and... You will have to give up on some things likely. I can tie your Qi's together. We will then wait it out and see if you two combined is powerful enough to defeat the infection. Though I will never be able to separate your Qi's. This means if you die, she dies. If you lose your powers, she loses her powers."
He'd kind of cringe at the next thought
"Alternatively we could wait it out and see if her soul is strong enough to win against the virus."

Because of the pain, the strange paralytic effect of it - even worse than Masons, as she could still move under that...it just increased the pain exponentially - she was still hovering in awareness. There was warmth at her hand. Of their own accord and not her own, her hand clutched convulsively as she shook. And she hung, ragdoll-limp aside from her quaking, in Levi's arms when he scooped her up. Had she not been knocked breathless with the initial punch of pain, she might have screamed.
Her sight went in and out of focus. She still heard their voices, but the sounds came from far away. Luckily, moving and being moved did not increase her agony. Levi was warm. She didn't have enough function to be able to move closer to his warmth, and it retreated when she was set upon the table. Depending on if she was strapped down, her body would twitch and shake--perhaps even over the ledge.
Endanger Levi? Life was hers to protect, for those she cared for the most. Levi was certainly one of those people, but only just. David. Mathew. Delilah. Evelyn. Aryanna. Even Bastille. Marcus. Lucien... Those were the people she fought for. Choose Love. GET UP, DO NOT DARE STAY DOWN--
Her voice was thready, wracked by pain.
"I...will fight..."
Delilah's words rang in her mind. Be strong enough to let those that care the most, help. But this? Even in her pain-induced haze...Levi's life was important. But more than that, could she trust him even that much? The last time he had been charged with her safety she was molested. This was not giving up, this was fighting her own battles. Overcoming challenges. Not potentially endangering the life of someone she cared about.

Levi followed the man inside, rather impressed at the lab he had hidden underground. Maybe he CAN help her! Levi fought to restrain his desperate optimism as he set the blonde on the table without a second thought then stared at the man expectantly. As he listened to Zack, his brow furrowed deeply as he growled quietly, "Barkerrrrrr." Barker: It was always Barker and in this case, he had tortured and tried to kill one of his closest friends twice and was constantly trying to kill everyone he held dearly. Levi snapped out of his thoughts of revenge and struggled to refocus on Kyrie. After Zack finished explaining her condition Levi interjected out of a need to say something, anything, "Options?"
Levi looked down, lost in thought over the options he was given. He held Kyrie's hand tightly as his mind began to consider the possible repercussions of his decision for only a moment before he smiled and stopped the train of thought as fast as it began. He had already decided, It doesn't matter what happens to me...I don't care.... It didn't matter to him if he had to fight for the rest of his life to save the woman twitching on that table. It didn't matter to him that he could lose his Qi forever or that the two of them would be tied to the same life forever. It simply. Didn't. Matter. He smiled and looked at the strange man with conviction in his eyes, still squeezing Kyrie's hand, "The only thing I want to do, is help save her life, if you tell me that's how I can do it, then do it."
Levi had heard Kyrie's cry, but he could not let her fight this battle alone and his mind was made up, "Not alone you won't, I told you I would always be there for you, no exceptions." What happened next was up entirely to fate.

"Nnngh." It was a protest, though wordless, and stuttered by a shudder. The blonde practically gagged at the connotations; she was still coming to terms with what happened and this terrified her. She couldn't articulate well with this thing ravaging her body. But this..? This didn't scare her as much as Mason had. Oh, it scared her enough, but somewhere in the mess of pain there was serenity. Her head twisted back and forth.
His words struck a chord, though. And yet, she was afraid of his promise. Her back arched and she tried to pull her hand away, but it was so hard to function. So her gaze slid up, focused in on Levi's face. Letting him scared her. Just like letting anyone else of those that meant the most to her terrified her, but him most of all. He'd failed her once, she didn't want to chance her sanity and body again. Certainly, she cared whether she lived or died...but dragging in another life wasn't acceptable. She would endlessly get back up, so long as she had the strength to do so.
The issue right now, was she wasn't sure she had the strength to fight the pain enough to get back up. Her brother screamed at her from her heart, his memory urging her to get. back. up!
A soft, gasping breath. She could tell...she knew, that if she didn't, she wasn't strong enough right now. And it felt like her strength was being leeched away, further still. Not just her qi, but everything that made her who she was. It would be like giving up, like suicide, if she didn't allow Levi to help... And it did not align to any of her beliefs, to choose either of those. With Armand within her heart still imperiously demanding, commanding she get up to continue living and continue fighting, her gaze wavered. A pained expression that was much more than physical settled in them, and over her face.
"...I will take it...very personally if something happens...because I allowed you to..."
The volume of her voice faded as her eyes lost focus again. Despite every fiber of her being crying out against it, she slowly accepted. Overshadowed by pain was regret, and...gratitude.

Zack would get to business then with both parties in agreement. He'd move Levi onto another table and pick up what looked like tubes of chemical light bracelets. He stood between them and would attach the bracelets to their wrists, then with one hand grab each of them by the wrist over the bracelet. He'd start by closing hsi eyes and things would be silent for a moment, until a small maybe inaudible voice would be heard by both Levi and Kiyr.
Finally they would be able to recognize the voice, it was each other, surface thoughts mostly, they would start barely understandable and quiet, and then become prominent and perfect. Then small memories of things of great importance to each other would starts entering their minds. Kiyr would be able to move now, Asiv stayed silent.
Both Levi and Kiyr would feel something wet on their cheeks. Levi on his left side, Kiyr on her right.

Levi blinked, eyes darting here and there across the ceiling as another voice joined him in his head. It took him a moment before he realized who the voice belonged to, but that did not help to less the fear and confusion that was beginning to fill his mind. He attempted to concentrate on thinking as little possible to allow his guest to speak freely, however, as soon as he began to make headway, the memories began to trickle in, more than occupying his mind as they played out in fragments, though in order and with no information missing despite how quickly they played through.
A fencing lesson with his brother in the basement, "GET UP!....We always get up."
Now he was sobbing into a comforter over a fight he had with his brother, "Always choose love."
Another memory: He leaped over beams and wood to get to his soot covered brother, "Kyrie, help! They're down there, all of th-them!" He desperately tried to save his parents and other siblings from the rubble, but failed, his father dying while holding his hand.
Levi quickly realized that his brother had said "Kyrie": something was off about these memories.
Kyrie?.....
Before he could think further on it, another memory forced its way to the front of his mind, this one somewhat more complete in what it flashed in front of his eyes. His sister was sick, a discoloration on her leg that was certainly not a simple rash. After laying out the gravity of the situation to his brother and giving him a big hug, he rushed to the hospital, dodging Barker forces and dreading what his sister's condition truly was. He came back, holding a bundle of medical supplies only to find his abandoned sister, who he confirmed dead after checking her still warm body for a pulse. Anger and sadness welled up inside him. Where was his brother?
"KYYYRIIIEEE!!"
Levi rushed around a corner in time to see his brother cut down, his blood spilling onto the street. Levi rushed forward without thinking, morphine needle in hand and revenge driving his body. Managing to inject the Barker soldier before being swatted into a couch, Levi passed out. He woke up in a car which, after regaining his senses, he fled, "Enough! Relachez-moi, ou je jure devant Dieu--!" As he ran, his anger became a cold drive for jutsice, Barker would face justice for his crimes.
The memories suddenly ceased and Levi snapped up, breathing heavily and trembling at the events he had relived in a mere few minutes. The memories had playing out with his voice overlapping that of a girl's, Kyrie's, serving to further convince him that they were his experiences and to confuse him as he struggled to understand how those events had happened to him. The flood of memories had truly fooled him into believing he had actually had those experiences despite the faces had never seen and the voices and names he had never known he had legitimate feelings for the places and people in them. Levi closed his eyes as he struggled to settle his mind, cupping his hands over his face as tears streamed down his face, having not realized the prior wetness on his cheek as he sobbed.

Pain was her world, once again. At least, for some sort of respite, this was a constant, not a variable. The sensation of something slid around her wrist dimly registered. It quickly shot to freezing: so cold it burned. Just as quickly, the feeling changed and skyrocketed in the other direction. Her wrist was set aflame, hotter than anything she had known in the matter of a few seconds since Asiv first attached the bracelet. Her muffled sounds of pain escalated to a cry.
When Asiv's hand covered it, the burning heat vanished, replaced by a cool sensation. Mint-like.
Slowly, even the pain would begin to recede. The whispering started. Murmurs. Sounds she could only just hear, but not enough to make heads or tails of. It was frustrating; normally her hearing was excellent.
Within a moment, the voice - as it was only one - became crystalline and perfectly audible. Levi's. Abruptly, the blonde's eyes shot open, and despite the sudden slump to her body as the pain was washed away, she tried to twist away.
It didn't work.
'I did not sign up for this!'
Her heart began to thrum, rapid like a hummingbird's wingbeats, but completely different to how it normally felt. This was terror, not the joy she experienced being around someone dear to her.
Had she been in a higher, clearer state of mind, Kyrie probably could have guessed what this merger meant. A soul bond. Thoughts, feelings, impressions, and so much more, exposed through the link. She had read enough that she should. have. known! The language she had used occasionally was lifted from a book along those lines. Unbreakable bonds. Bonds that--
Immediately, she stilled, body going limp as she was plunged into a different time. A different place. A different life.
A hand landed on her head, warm and familiar in its unfamiliarness. A voice rang out: "Son, someday this syndicate will need a strong leader to replace me when I'm old. That man will be you.
Kyrie opened her mouth, looking up at the man with a pipe in his mouth. "Why?"
She received a chuckle in response. "It is your destiny."
Though she wasn't exactly sure what her father meant, there was a deep sense of intrinsic and instinctual trust. He would not steer her wrong.
"You can not simply decide if he is to lead our family! He has dreams and aspirations that the syndicate can not fulfill for him!"
An image came to mind. An older man. Straight and proud and honourable. She couldn't see him, and the voices were muffled despite their yelling. They were in the other room, and she was outside.
Just listening.
"You made that decision for me! Why should I have any less privilege?!"
A loud slam vibrated the wall.
"What about his music!? His teacher says he could be a concert soloist with the proper training. How do you think the Yakuza will make that happen?"
Suddenly she was being shaken awake, her grandfather's voice alarmed. Anxious. Grab her brother. Leaving. Now. ...why? "LEVI!"
The name gave her a jolt. Was she Levi? The memory swallowed her back up, to the deep dark. She floated, both an observer and a part of the scenes.
"WE HAVE TO GO! NOW!" Her grandfather's tone allowed for no argument, and she pushed the body that was - yet not - her own out of bed. With her heart pounding she raced to a stop near her brother.
"W-Wake up Kido! We have to go!"
His brother's bleary gaze looked up at him. "Hmm? ...what's going on? Why are people shouting?"
There was a sense of movement, abrupt, and suddenly she was looking back to the mansion that was his home. Why was her father not there? Wasn't he coming with? There was so much fighting.
A burning anger flared in the pit of her stomach. Her grandfather said she couldn't learn the form in one day!? The sting to her knuckles as she cracked them against the gleaming wood floor was ignored. She reached up to wipe the blood from her nose with the back of her hand, and pushed to her feet.
He was wrong. And she? She was angry.
With a shout of denial - she just wasn't trying hard enough! - she whirled back into a kata stance and leaped, performing an aerial kick..!
It was quickly - painful in its ease - thwarted. She tumbled back to the same spot she had been in on the floor, and looked up through the black fringe of her bangs. The anger curled in her stomach, and she didn't move to sit up, simply watching her elder with a baleful, frustrated expression. Her grandfather spoke and she slowly pushed herself back up, staring down at the stain of blood.
"You are a young man filled with great talent and determination...but you are also filled with anger and confusion. One must always find a way to release their anger constructively. Pushing yourself to do what you simply don't have the clarity of mind to do is foolishness. You can choose to be angry or you can release the bonds that weigh you down and think through your feelings clearly. Don't be a slave to this emotion, this anger."
A hand, gentle but firm, landed on her shoulder.
Kyrie blinked, gaze flickering as her mind strove to take in details. She was, but wasn't, Levi. Like the dreams...these were real. Memories. But instead of watching with the man they had involved at her side, she became. The petite blonde stayed prone on the table. Her wrist still felt refreshingly cool. Mint. Her gaze blanked, losing focus as another memory claimed her again.
She beamed at the face in the mirror. Her face. No. Levi's face. Warm but dark eyes were proud. She was dressed in black. A black gi. And she was just tying a black belt around her waist. She was proud, and beaming, filled to the brim with accomplishment. A deeper knowledge. Her--his, Levi's grandfather appeared in the mirror, standing by the door.
Praise. And a jest. If only they could get his brother to work as hard.
She grinned.
"It wasn't just hard work. I was a slave to my anger, now it is merely another tool I can use."
Words of caution tempered the tone, but did not dim it.
Dazed, Kyrie remained immobile. It was a lot to take in, even for that. What had his grandfather said..?
'... "Just be careful, Levi. Once you choose anger, you may never be able to come back." ...'
She was uncertain of how she felt about all this. This was permanent!? What had she agreed to? Her heart stuttered in a set of rapid beats before it evened out, but still rocketed along at that increased pace.

Asiv would let go of their wrists backing up a step before stumbling and landing on his butt slumped over a bit, breathing heavily.
"Its not every day.... I have to use.... This old tech."
Zack would comment before lifting his head to look at the two, who should be relatively fine now, until he spotted their faces. His eyes lit up wide and he would get up shooting to a desk, rummaging papers before coming back with thick work gloves on.
"This was unforeseen... Stay calm."
Asiv would reach for Levi's face first, going for his left cheek and scrapping something onto the paper, before doing the same to Kiyr on the right side.

Levi continued to catch his breath as Zack spoke, though Levi's hearing was off somehow: As if he was hearing the man from multiple places in the room at once. It was a disorienting sensation and he might have stumbled if he was not laying down. As Asiv rushed to his desk a returned, Levi's heart began to race. Had something gone wrong, were they not supposed to be joined this closely? He waited until Zack had finished scrapping something off of his face before slowly sitting up, his muscles only seeming to respond half of the time, causing him to fall back down a few times before asserting more will over his body. His hands planted on each side of himself as he swung his legs off of the side of the table, still not confident enough to stand. As the man scraped an unidentified object off of Kyrie's face, Levi's brow furrowed as he growled softly, "What happened?....what do you mean unexpe....gah!" His mind was bombarded with sensations once again, only having to fight for control for a moment before Levi's pupils dilated again and went out of focus. The room blurred and spun around once at high speed before coming back into focus, only now he was in a highschool, walking to class. He was stopped by a boy, "Hey, hey! New girl. Wait--Kyrie, right? C'mon, let's go get to know one another better." Levi tilted his chin, up, slightly irritated for having to do so because of his height. Levi gave an impression of refusal to the teen before turning away to walk into his classroom. Images flashed. He was now back to after his brother had been slain by the barker soldier. There was a sense of time passing, from the flickers of day to night and the image of a fire, burning bright and extinguishing as the light began to come and go. A deep sorrow, and a sense of stagnation. Hunger grew. But, as much as it hurt, there was a sense of him clinging to love. It drove him to the edge and kept him hanging on all at once. Days flicked by. He ate and drank only what kept him alive. He couldn't just give up. The love he felt for his family called for him to join them, but moreso, it also demanded he listen to the lessons they'd taught him. He had to get up, but he no longer had the strength. Self-loathing, resentment, denial, blame, desolation. Each of them stacked further atop the other, and all weighed him down. Most of the images through the days were of him sleeping, or just curled up. Breathing. Living, but in a shadow. He knew at some point, he would have to get up. Before, he had Bennett and Aless both depending on him, but now: no one; no purpose. It was a new day and Levi's water supply had run out, making it so that he finally had to get up. He forced himself to his feet as he leaned against the wall, his head tilting upwards towards the sun. He was exhausted. He had been hungry for so long, he had completely lost track of how long, not that there was a purpose to counting the days..... "Kyrie? Kyrie, are you okay?"The boy from before at the highschool was in front of him, reaching out to comfort him. He winced away, but lacked the strength to truly get away. He had not the strength to respond as simply stared up at him. “What have you done to yourself? You haven't been eating. Jesus, Kyrie, have you even been getting enough water?”Levi shook his head as he looked up at the boy. He did not want his help, but at the same time, Levi did not want to protest either. He needed help, and this boy was offering it. A few tears rolled down his cheek as he continued to look up. “I have nothing to repay you with with Robbie.....”"Listen, sweetie: let's just give you some water and some food, then we'll talk, 'kay? I'll help you." When he looked down, Levi only saw kindness. He needed to believe there was some still left in the world. That he knew him from before, that eager teenage boy that was now in the same boat as him - kind of - gave him some kind of stability to hold on to. Several days passed and he felt, heard, and saw how he had finally repaid his debt to Robbie. More shame and self loathing took hold as his mind cried out. Innocence lost, he could no longer bear to stay. He felt nothing for Robbie and yet had resigned to that act out of a need to repay the boy. He stole away several hours later, heavy with what had transpired that night, though standing stronger. The memory ceased for only a moment before fading into the next one. "Ah!" The next memories he got were fragmented in their imagery, but like last time, all of the feelings and information was there. Mathew walked towards him and grabbed his blonde hair, pulling him close so he could read a searing hot brand that caused his body to tremor reflexively, the heat becoming very uncomfortable. The brand read: Bnubando “Do you know what it says?” Mathew said, inching the brand closer to his face. The memory flicked forward a few seconds, “...property” "If this brand said betrayal, I would stamp it on your forehead as a warning to all in the future." He released his hair. "But it doesn't. This is a reminder to you of what you willingly entered. Until you are released by me or made an elder. My interests are your interests because you belong to me." Mathew's hand would slide down Levi's cheek and neck as he moved around him. The earth dragon's hand tracing down his naked body as if to prove that he could and would do what he wanted. Levi shivered as the earth dragon violated his modesty. It was only when his hand reached the back of Levi's upper right thigh did he stop. Mathew tightened his grip and jammed the searing hot brand in to Levi's flesh, marking him forever. Levi shrieked in pain as the memory transitioned once again. He turned away from the departing David and faced his Skyforce subordinates, "I want this building turned upside down and scoured through; I will aid you, and then move to help preparations for the funeral pier." Later, He watched with those that remained as the fire ate away at wood and flesh alike, leaving a red glow awash on their skin. Burning the Skyforce members' bodies meant something extra to Levi: Twice he had burned his families bodies when they died. So this was more than just simply concern for disease. It was his own tribute; his own way to show what they meant to him. Later, still, Levi found himself in the air, soaring on wings of shadow. Up, up, up, as far as he could possibly go. And then he drifted, letting the wind steer his course as he felt his eyes sting with tears. "May you dance with joy along the wind. I hope this is enough to put you at ease. Though I keep none of your ashes for myself, know that I will always carry the weight of your life in my heart. Go with honor and embrace your freedom."He closed her eyes and removed the lid, Portions of the ashes were released to the four winds. With the remainder, Levi took off in an arc to find a quick jetstream of air, and let the remainder go. The tears that fell behind him were a product of sorrow, more than the air that lashed against his eyes as he increased his speed, taking comfort that he flew with him. For him. Levi was now suspended in the air, watching himself battle Todd. He would have thought anger would accompany this memory, but this was not his memory and the only thing he could feel was pain. He fought and struggled numerous times as he watched himself do battle with Todd and each attempt was punished harshly with excruciating pain. Pain, unfortunately, was not the only punishment he would receive: Mason began nibbling and kissing Levi's ears, groping his breasts then making its way down to his waist....and below. Levi's breathing was now erratic as sensations streamed from his nether region against his will, causing him to shriek: "DAVIII!!!!!" Levi's vision was now his own again, his body feeling violated and his emotions in sheer chaos. He shook as he folded himself in half, tucking his chest to his knees while still managing to stay seated on the table. He knew he would be fine.....but he needed time....just. Time.

. o O ( This thread is now current. @__@ So much has gone on since it started. Anything posted before this point, including any PM/Skype threads are considered, canonly, to occur before this thread. Harvest Sun is the exception as it follows this thread. )
Something wet was on her face. There was the distorted, disjointed sensation of sitting up though her body remained prone on the table aside from a quivering shake that began at her core and radiated outwards. Through her body, through her limbs. Just after Levi cried out, and as Asiv scraped some of the substance from her cheek, Kyrie's head turned towards him, the emotions through the link real and vivid and driving her own reaction higher.
Icy eyes stabbed at the older man, boring straight into him with eerie stillness despite the subtle tremour to even her irises. She cried out, voice throbbing with panic and anger though she couldn't control her body enough to get it to stop shaking, nevermind grabbing him. She remained shuddering on the table, crying out in a language she hadn't known, before. A language she had just learned and now spoke as though she had known it her entire life.
"K-Ki-Kisama! Nani wo shiten daioh?! <B-Ba-Bastard! What have you done?!>"
Before she knew what was going on, her spine arched off the cold table of its own will. A lance of pain spiked through her, and her body shook harder in response. More memories began to slam into her mind despite the anguish that rolled over her. Her heartbeat stuttered in her chest, its urgent cadence only increasing in response to the stress of the merger. Still, everything in her cried out.
Her body shifted dangerously close to the edge. The memories swamped her, letting Asiv move unhindered though she hadn't been able to reach out as she wanted to. A wordless cry to match the desperation welling within her escaped from between her lips and died, but the blonde could not stop shaking.
There was a pulling sensation and suddenly he was standing with a couple papers in hand, looking towards a student with rather deplorable English - for being a Native speaker of that tongue - for help. He was lost in this new school: Varron High. All he needed to know was how to get to his classes. Just the first would do. When the male directed him to the gym - "All freshmen are to meet there before their first classes." - he found it rather odd. Nobody else had said anything about it. But, there was no need to doubt this teen's words. He was obviously a senior in the school and thus, knew his way around. He thanked him with a quick, precise bow and smile, as well as a word of gratitude before setting out for the gym with purpose.
When he got to the gym, there was nobody there.
Was he early? There weren't even any staff present.
The gym door shut ominously behind him and everything went black. Pushing on the doors only caused them to shake. They didn't budge otherwise. Two separate doors opened. Footsteps approached.
On the table, Kyrie gasped. Another spike of pain hit her and her body writhed. She wasn't the man in the gym. She wasn't! That was Levi. Those were Levi's memories, not hers! She wasn't alone in the dark, being surrounded by a bunch of teenage boys. She wasn't sweating.
But she was panicking. The memories and the feelings were now hers just as hers were, his. Upon that realization, her form gave a violent twist and slammed back down, freeing a small necklace that dropped back to rest against her neck, slipping down to land on the table with a tinkling clatter. The chain would rattle, softly, as the blonde's body continued to shake; the sound audible to Kiyr but lost amongst the din in her head. Levi had no right to her memories--to any of them! Just like she had no right to any of his! As the scene progressed, it started to distort slightly, like there was an interference. Sounds skipped. Blipped.
"So kid...welcome to orientation. We are the Kings, we rule this school, and we want you to be our newest member. Wudduh yuh say?" He was questioned, surrounded, as the lights came on. The same teen who had directed him here spread his arms out, presenting the crowd to him...and him to the crowd. He knew he only had a few options. His father's words echoed, hauntingly, in his ears.
"It is your destiny." His decision made, he extended a hand with a smile. Yet as soon as the other male extended his, he struck, hard and fast as a viper: he grabbed the guy's wrist, turning it outward as he pressed his index finger to a pressure point. The teen that was his senior screamed and took a knee in agony before him. He twisted the wrist as those other kids closed in. They stopped as he threatened them with the loss of this student's hand; a bluff but given his success against the student already and his cries of pain... After a brief stare down, he flung the hand away and stood tall. Looking down at the teen who was cradling and massaging his hand, his smile was gone.
He ordered him up. To a fair match. One chance, one only. Get up.
If he won, Levi would be owned utterly by him. If he lost, Levi would absorb the gang and assume leadership. His sense of justice and right and wrong was high and he did not err with it. This was a side of him that had never come to light. Everything of his grandfather's teachings had driven him passed fear and shyness. All he saw here was the poison and plague these gangs brought. And he knew, without a doubt, he would be able to clean the slate here. There would be no more violent groups like these 'Kings', and he would lead it. He did not wish to follow.
The fight was over quickly despite the senior's boxing stance. Within moments he stood next to the unconscious teen. He addressed the crowd and watched them all submit to them as his father's words rang in his ears.
He burst into a classroom, a female in tow. His heart was racing as she spun and kissed him, deeply. "Levi...I missed you so much..." He leaned in for another kiss and the raven-haired woman with her full, pouty bottom lip backed off, eyes glinting as she slowly began to undo her red leather vest. Invitation was in her gaze. He felt his body respond--
Kyrie gasped and gagged slightly against the table at the remembered lust and feelings for this woman. Vic. Victoria. She couldn't. She didn't want to see what came next. It wasn't her! Somewhere inside herself, she screamed a denial. Everything inside her gave a violent twist and a new stab of pain sent her body to stillness for a moment as the agony set her nerves on fire.
How many more memories could she take? A lifetime washed over her in rapid flashes. But there seemed to be a rift, now. She could see her own as well. Robbie. Her spine arched with a gasp.
'...no...' The word became a litany in her mind and went far deeper than that. She couldn't deny what she saw was true. That Levi - there was a separation now - left the woman, breaking her heart and saying he hoped she could forget him. And that he was sorry.
Blonde hair shifted as she shook her head.
When the memories took over, it was like there were two movies playing at once: Levi's memories and her own. Sounds overlapped; at first slightly, and then more and more.
Levi held up a senior student, his leather PHS #552 jacket giving the school away. The senior struggled against the locker he was pinned to. He was able to breathe but struggled. Levi spoke--bluffing again mostly. "You are to follow me now, if you do not, I will make sure your lives here are very unpleasant."
The kid he pinned was saved by James. A Pillar. Pain swamped and lashed Levi's body as James told him hostile takeovers just wouldn't work here. He proved that unless Levi was a Pillar, you were at their mercy. Everyone weaker than them had to play by the rules. Their rules.
Things moved rapidly. He was in Japan, walking through rows of men in black suits. They bowed and parted. The limousine door opened. He moved in and the man sitting there he hadn't seen since his grandfather had spirited him away along with his brother, Kido.
"You’re awfully quiet...I do not remem--" - "--brand said betrayal, I would stamp it on your forehead--" - "--good to see you father...I wasn’t sure if I would ever be able to see you again."
A question. Was Levi ready to fulfill his destiny?
Despite the nervous twist to his stomach and unease in his chest, he responded clearly:
Her scream of pain in the other half of the mirror as the brand was plunged against her upper thigh drowned out Levi's affirmative answer to his father.
Faster and faster the images spun.
Levi moved through bodies belonging to his syndicate and still others. One moved. One not his own. As Levi - despite being his father's son here and set to take the role of leader in time - didn't feel himself better than the members of his yakuza, he felt the strong urge to kick this man for being part of the group that brought so much death to his group. The man, as Levi stated he wanted him later, to question him...spit up into his face. A bolt of fury struck through Levi and he slammed his shoe against the man's windpipe, crushing it and leaving the indent as proof. He wouldn't speak?
No. No, he really wouldn't.
Inside, he set his face in his hands and sobbed. He'd killed a man in a blind fit of pure, unadulterated rage. And now he was in turmoil.
"--dance with joy along the wind. I hope this is enough to put you at ease. Though I keep none of your ashes for myself, know that I will always carry the weight of your life in my heart. Go with honor--" Ashes were released.
Levi sat at a chair. His father's chair. Four months prior he had killed a man out of anger. And his father and many members of his yakuza had paid the ultimate price. The one he had killed was the son of a rival Syndicate. The battle that ensued had been bloody. Explosions drew him to run to see what was going on--explosions. Bombs.
Barker.
Time passed as he rebuilt. And then he set sail for America with some of his syndicate. Flashes of what happened since then glinted, playing too quickly to decipher as the rest of the memories jam-packed their way in.
And then, the same time as her own memory of Todd and Mason played, so too did Levi's. His indecisive fear caused her own to spike. Her terror washed over anew. The bond, the link they shared, had their emotions creating a dangerous harmonic. She couldn't even fully handle her own terror in regards to what happened. Delilah had given her coping skills, but the rest was up to her and to time. She couldn't deal with Levi's feelings on top of her own, and with his terror and feelings of self-revulsion and violation sparking keenly through the link...
It was too much.
Bolts of blinding pain ripped through her body. She screamed aloud as her soul, at the same time, cried out in desperate denial of everything. Her body writhed. Desperation and sheer terror overwhelmed her and she responded. It caused her to fight. Something tore. The pain she experienced flared even higher than Mason's had, for three seconds. Brilliant white light flared in her vision. Her soul, patched to Levi's, heaved and shook as it rejected the bond. It was a clean, but vastly painful, break.
There was only one person she screamed for, as she had once before.
"DAVID!!"
Her body went completely stiff and then slumped at the very edge of the cold metal table. Her vision went from white to utter blackness as for several long seconds, her heart stopped as her body was completely overcome by the searing pain of her soul tearing the bonds to Levi's. Her heart had been thundering at a pace it couldn't sustain as the stress from having her soul joined to Levi's - practically anyone's - was too much to bear. She hadn't wanted it. Hadn't wanted it, any of it, and her entire being knew that. Three seconds the tiny blonde spent dead. Three seconds passed before her heart began a heavy, thudding beat once again. Breath stuttered into her lungs. Her throat was raw, body still on fire as she sank to oblivion for the moment.
Nothing could keep her as she faded. She couldn't even think or feel to hope David heard. Before the terror could grip her, the blonde passed out, the tremours that were returning to rock her body stuttering once...again...a third time...and then stopped as unconsciousness claimed her. One arm hung over the edge, shoulder and head with her blonde hair starting to slip as her slight form became deadweight as she passed out.
But only for now.

Those several seconds of her being blacked went by in silence and peace. Thirty two seconds passed in peace before- A loud bang would rattle the metal door. Another loud bang would accompany a massive, fist sized dent in Asivs door. If the door didnt slide open it would get hit harder and repeatedly, six times, until it was blown off its hinges or Bent clean in half. There, standing in the doorway, would be David, shrouded in a mist rolling off his body, dark, acrid smoke-colored wind pushing up from around his feet. Home had lost it's peace, and while had been spending the day fixing the house, Kiyr had been gone, but that wasn't entirely out of the norm. She came and went every few days, so though she had been gone a week, her lack of presence wasn't enough to set him on edge. Her Scream was, though. He had only heard that cry for help with such power once before, and it had completely changed the way the tiny female worked and felt and lived. She was precious to him, as very few were, so the terror and most of all pain in her voice...sent his heart into his throat and lit a flame under his shoes. Should he be able to bust the door down, he would frown at the stairs, walking down them without care to basement/bunker. This confused him- was this another facility? Perhaps for Experiments? And why was Levi here and not screaming or fighting? Was he joining Barker or something? He didn't think Levi would but he had brought the man on at Amtrums discretion, and had not taken the time to get to know him. Add to that the event with Mason.... When David reached the bottom of the stairs his eyes would turn to Asiv, marching at him directly. Left hand clutching a sword. Using his free hand he would move to grab Asiv by the throat and lift him up, walking with him to the wall and slamming him against it, holding him several feet off the ground. " WHAT DID YOU DO TO HER!?" The distortion of his voice was probably strange to the two of them, like it was put through an analyzer....On top of that, they may not even recognize him. You see, as soon as David had heard her voice, a strange thing had happened. From within a sort of fire bubbled up and over, and erupted from his face, covering most of it in what appeared to be a bone mask-crown, which also threw off flares of energy. Now, his eyes were completely purple, and his teeth were bared. His hand would clench like a clamp around this mans neck, his fingers like a vice. " IF YOU HURT HER, I SWEAR TO GOD ILL FUCKING KILL YOU!" And he meant it too. OOC: Invited to thread by Kiyr. Levi's vision suddenly faded completely and his ears rang as the bond broke violently. His body shook from the pain and his head throbbed painfully enough for him to black out for a moment as every one of his bodily functions reeled, every one of his senses running amok.
"Hn!"
As Kyrie screamed, Levi nearly did the same; The pain from the break was excruciating and he cursed his tolerance for pain as his body shook violently without letting him pass out, his back hitting the table hard as he stiffened, trying to do anything to lessen the pain wracking his body.
"GAAAAH!!"
Levi yelled as he continued to convulse, trying to get any one of his six senses under control, but to no avail. His consciousness faded in and out as he repeatedly blacked out, finally remaining unconscious.
