When Levi awoke, he would see lights above him. David was sitting in the corner, Stormheart leaning against the wall next to him. He leaned forward and watched Levi for several seconds. The light wielder was wrapped in bandages aRound the chest, stomach and leg. He would give a nod if Levi noticed him.
"Well done, Commander."
He would then lean back in the chair and wait.

David's shadow would shift, tendrils spiraling and swirling, though not very high before dissipating. It rippled before Kyrie shimmered into existence, sitting with her legs tucked against her chest, peering over the tops of her arms. Her back was against the wall that was to the inside of the rest of the building, and her feet still resided in David's shadow. Despite how she sat, there was the distinct feeling that she was perching. As though with the slightest provocation she would simply disappear.
A smothered tension, but there nevertheless. Kyrie did not speak, but along with the tension was concern.
She was...trying, at least. And for now, for now she could bear the exposure.
Blue eyes flickered to the bandages she'd helped with, then away. Around the room. David. Levi.

Levi grinned as he heard the Storm Dragon's voice. He had had dreams of his death: Of no one coming. They had not frightened him particularly, but they did make him regret many things. The anger he had used rashly and would have never gotten to resolve. His feelings for Kyrie as well as a few other things. The lights above him nourished his body and the pain in his wounds had lessened since he had passed out, though he chose not to move all the same. Levi smiled, "Thank you......I knew you would come for your sword....hehe ow" He winced as he laughed, obviously the wound in his stomach had not healed enough.
Levi frowned as he sensed around, a small tinge of pain coursing through his body as he sensed Kyrie in the room as well, her Qi very disturbed from her ordeal. As much as he wanted to make sure Kyrie was doing alright, Levi had but one question on his mind and it required the wisdom of an elder, so he considered himself lucky for his present company. Levi spoke softly and his voice was still somewhat weak, "He did something to me before he died......it hurts to use my Qi......something called....the curse of the panther. Any thoughts?"

David tilted his head to the left, a curious scrunch coming to the skin between his eyes when Levi said something about wanting his sword.
"My blade is safe, yes, but it is not the reason I answered. When someone calls out my name, I backtrack my name through the path it made in the air. Other words that follow it are blurred. This helps me focus and uses far less energy. When a man looks to the sky in desperation, and calls out in anger, or pain, or fear- I will always answer the call. Especially when that someone is a Dragon."
He leaned in as Levi spoke regard his Qi, his eyebrows drawing down now in suspicion.
"Curse....a boy in highschool, back before it fell, once threatened myself, Delilah and one other with a curse. He said it would take that which is born in us and twist it against ourselves. When I fought him, he fused power with his blood, his being- his organs. This gave him strength but caused excruciating pain. What happens when you try to use your Qi? Just pain or...?"
David would stand and walk over, reaching out a hand and hovering it over Levis form. Warmth would blanket the Dragon Commander, and he would feel like he was being scanned, but not intrusively. More...gently. Calmly. Patiently.
He listened.

She listened. To the world, and to the words exchanged, as they were most easily picked up. Kyrie kept her head ducked down, but it didn't stop her gaze from its restless roaming. Her eyes quickly flickered to David as the Elder rose to his feet.
She, in turn, tucked her feet closer to herself to let him pass.
The shadows from under her extended, tethered to his own.
Kyrie remained where she was, but watched intently when her eyes weren't compulsively scanning.

Levi contemplated his answer before replying. The fact that the curse actually manifested in his Qi led him to believe that despite the pain, it could possibly be a source of power. He could not be sure, but David clearly had some knowledge of whatever this curse was. The warmth from whatever David was doing was soothing and it numbed some of the pain from his wounds.
Levi spoke a little more strongly than before, "I'm not entirely sure....black streaks appear in my Qi when I use it....accompanied with intense pain. I really don't know if they are causing the pain or if they represent something else."

David nodded. His eyes and Qi focused on the wound at his stomach, which seemed to feed on his Qi. He immediately ceased his attempt at focusing on it, not wanting whatever was afflicting Levi to travel to him. He would chew his lip a moment before continuing.
"I could....probably heal you. But there is an 80 percent chance of you dying and a 60 percent chance of you losing your Qi forever if you survive the attempt. The Curse is fused with your body, melding with organs and linked to your Qi. It was incorporated through the blood, so Rai may also have some ideas but.... This is beyond the abilities of most. It would take something either very powerful or very skilled to remove this without complications."

Kyrie listened to the conversation, her lips progressing further and further into a thin line. The chances of Levi dying with David's help, she wouldn't want to gamble on it - not to mention he hadn't mentioned the cost to himself - and the high risk of Levi losing his qi even if he survived?
The blonde didn't like the thought of either, but realized this was not her choice. So she held her silence.
David's mention of power and skill had her mind turning even as her eyes flicked to the side. Information was always power, in her mind. The more they knew about what they were up against, the truer the sword would fly to their aim to sever whatever curse Todd had inflicted upon Levi.
Her train of musing was abruptly broken as her eyes closed. A shiver snaked down her spine, and a moment later, her eyes snapped open. Reflexively, her hands clutched her elbows tighter.

OOC: Assuming it's been at least a few hours.
Levi brow furrowed at his prognosis. Eighty percent was an extremely high risk to be taking with one's life, especially when their information was so limited. Even if Levi did defy the odds and somehow live, the idea that Todd would have the last laugh by stripping him of his powers was out of the question. His position may have been a tad prideful, but given the circumstances, he felt justified.
Levi's brow furrowed, "No, not if someone of your skill can only guarantee an eighty percent chance of success and that success may not even be worth it: We need to find another way or at least more information."
Levi pondered David's suggestion about asking Rai. It seemed like the next logical step seeing as how this "curse" was in his blood. Levi only hoped that Rai would indeed be able to give them some lead to a cure or resolution.
"Alright, give me some time in the sun to heal, then I think I will find Rai. Using my senses doesn't seem to hurt too badly."
Another idea occurred to Levi as he slowly sat up, the wound no longer bleeding and almost closed, though it still protested with a sharp pain when he torqued his torso. He carefully planted his feet on the ground and made his way to an exit, stopping at the door, "You said the man used it for power.....if a cure cannot be found.....perhaps there is a way to harness and tame this curse."
With those words, Levi would step outside in to the sunlight to hasten his recovery. He laid on his back in the middle of the street, letting the sunlight beat on him, his body drinking in the nourishing rays of the yellow star.

David stuck the hand not holding his sword into his pocket.
"My analysis is just based on the outer scan. If I had a little more intormation, I could probably give a better outlook."
He followed Levi outside, stopping by Kiyr and offering his hand for her to take. If she did, she would have the opportunity to slink into his shadow, or simply stand and follow after them. Either way, Once Levi stopped, and started taking on the light to help himself heal, Davids feet would lift off the ground a couple Of inches.
"Let me know how it goes- and feel free to let me know when you have more information."
David would then fly off into the sky, cool wind brushing through his hair and face, off towards home.

There was no small sense of relief that washed over the blonde's mind and body, and she exhaled a soft breath she hadn't known she had been holding. '...good...' She kept her gaze downcast as Levi shuffled out, and was just about to disappear to the shadows when she noted that David's feet and legs had stopped in front of her.
Kyrie jerked, abruptly tipping her face up. Blue eyes shot down to stare at the extended hand a few long, worrying moments before she lifted her eyes, slowly. Her hands tightened their grip, despite a twitch beforehand. A plea for forgiveness entered her gaze as shadow ate at the blonde's form. She held David's gaze for a couple moments before her eyes were torn away in an impulsive need to look around as she fully disappeared into his shadow without taking his hand.
With a shiver, she settled in his shadow, but it didn't stop her scanning the area as David came to a stop by Levi. Kyrie's gaze flickered, and then she blinked in surprise as David began to hover. It made her rapidly flick her gaze back and forth. While she didn't want to be vulnerable, she wasn't going to leave family alone to potentially suffer an attack.
...no matter how much she didn't want to even chance what had happened happening again, it hadn't changed who seh was. So she pressed her fingers to the bottom of the shadow, the pads just peeking through on the regular plane. Shadow spun, eking into Levi's shadow before she pulled herself across.
Settling herself in the Asian's shadow, she curled her arms around herself and remained quiet. But not still. Kyrie would twitch nervously, on occasion, as she continuously looked around.
