OOC: Closed for nao.
Something was up.
Skye was acting particularly unusual; there were very few times when the husky fought for attention, one being the time when she made a comeback from Illinois. So, naturally, when he pawed and murmured a whine in her ear while she was asleep, she thought he might be feeling ill...except that he started tugging at her leg, as if he were bent on getting her out of bed for the entirety of the night.
But she complied.
She slipped on her items effortlessly and lazily got out of bed. One look at Skye and she knew he wasn't ill; his ears were perked and alert as ever, tail wagging back and forth, as if impatient with her slow movements. With a sigh, she made a gesture with her hand as if to say: lead the way.
Nearly forty minutes later, she found herself in a secluded park. If it weren't for Skye guiding her, she wouldn't have understood that such a small little hiding spot existed- but the place itself wasn't what completely silenced her thoughts: it was the seven pups in front of her, sleeping soundly, all cuddling and nestled into each other. Were these...?
Her jaw dropped slightly as she turned to look at Skye, who made his way over to the litter and nuzzled himself right in. Where was the mother? She looked around, alert- if the mother were here, surely she would feel the need to defend against any potential predators... But after what seemed like an eternity of complete silence, which only turned out to be a couple minutes, Mitsuki came to realize that the mother was gone- hence the reason why Skye was so desperate for her attention.
Her eyes flashed and the pups began to levitate as she began to manipulate the air around them. They weren't safe here alone; Skye made no effort to stop her, and just like that, they left the premises to find a better hiding location- away from the territories, further up north.
Her heart swelled with a fondness she hadn't felt in a long time.
