Calesvol(AKA Caliburn)
The Saxon Slayer// Sword of Submission// Anti-Fortress Blade// The Knights Beacon
-- An actual 5th/6th century dated Claymore that Bastille and her underground ancient weapons trade colleagues found in the still rumored mystic hills of Wales before the nuclear apocalypse. While it's origins can be nothing but truly rumors, it's dating, odd abilities, and the title 'Artorius Rex' engraved in Latin into the hilt of the sword eludes to a mystic beginning of entrapment by stone and freedom by one once and future king. Although it is not the legendary Excalibur, Caliburn is a very real sword owned by a very real ancient war leader on the Brittanic Isle. Centuries have turned the blade dull and rendered it for historic use only- but Bastille has revamped the historic sword and reinstalled it's ancient name (by her assumption)- Calesvol. Of course she went for the more feminine version as it suited her better.
Buying:
-- under co.
Description:
At first glance it's an old banged up sword, with a black granite hilt, steel blade, and numerous modern refurbishments and altercations. Leather is wrapped around the black marble for easier grip, letting the marble peak through. Melted Silver and Steel mix to make the rest of the ornate hilt. The blade itself stands at 4ft 10in and is only 6 inches shorter than Bastille herself, making the blade look massive. Despite this it is actually pretty thin- making it a slicing weapon as well as a bludgeoning type. Into the hand guard, the latin inscription translating to "Artorius Rex" is carved in an unsteady, but skilled hand. Tiny jewels are inset into the hand guard and rubber has been set into the wrappings for shock absorption.
Power/Attribute: (needs approval!)
In Bastilles hands, the blade has the ability to, for lack of a better term, 'redistribute' direct qi attacks. Or rather, any attack for that matter.
The Blade is only a qi amplifying weapon and therefore can only work as a magnetic object drawing the qi out of the body like an extension. It does not allow the projectile of qi nor can it use qi once separated from a firm direct link to the body.
Bastilles Qi, "The Lions Authority" shows in the form of molecule manipulation which allows for faster movements by manipulating the air around the blade and body. However, the qi cannot control where the manipulation is redirected. While the qi can manipulate molecules in a magnetic force away from the body, it cannot control where they go once they are manipulated from their path. Thus, when the sword attacks and object, it splinters- as any normal sword hitting a normal object might do. With Qi it is the same story. Qi, when directly in contact with the qi holders body or an exposition of their qi, can splinter it out of from the blade itself. This does not mean the attack wont hit other portions of the body not well guarded or anything else in the path of the splinters. As Bastilles Qi control grows, she can use the sword to use her Qi and thus splinter larger and large attacks. Yet, while the sword helps focus her qi, she will still be unable to use qi without the sword.
The blade, when transferring hands, takes on different abilities. Therefore, only certain abilities might actually benefit from the swords use. Other qi types would find the blade useless as any other normal blade.
