Phffff...phff...[/i]
The gentle wind swept ruffled leaves across hard asphalt sidewalks. The background noise of birds chirping and squirrels running to and fro grew dimmer, and soon, silent. It was time for the shining sun to set, it gave one last look upon the city, with great golden rays of sunlight, and then took its leave. The sky blackened, and the night grew colder, and colder. In the nearly-black-sky, two clouds floated away and revealed the bright, shiny moon. The temparture dropped, and Keioto propelled his legs faster. It felt like it was going to snow. Tic ... toc. Tic ... toc. Tic ...-toc!
The clock hit eight, which alerted Keioto. He threw his arm up to look at the golden digital watch on his wrist, "Damnit! I'm supposed to be home at nine," he murmured, and Keioto wasn't near home. He walked faster, as he grew colder and colder. Keioto turned left down the sidewalk, and then after a few steps, right, into a long alley. Bzzzz! Bzz! Another sound was heard, a buzzing sound. And then a outbursting ring, "Yikes!" Keioto shouted throwing a hand to his ear, he reached into his jacket pocket and pulled out a Motorola V635, he flipped it open with his thumb and put it to his ear. "Yeah?" "Keioto, where the hell are you? Its almost nine," a manly voice said on the other line, but it wasn't his father. In fact, it was his brother. "Look, I'll be home in less than an hour, I gurauntee you. Alright?" Keioto said, pushing the phone close and slipping it into his jacket pocket. "damnit, they act like I'm their freaking child!" muttered Keioto, he was almost through the alleyway, until he heard footsteps- that weren't his. Keioto turned around, " ... wh-... who's there?"
No response.
Keioto shook his head around, "Probably hearing things," he continued down the alley, almost there, almost there when- Thwop![/b] a long, wooden object hide the side of Keioto's head, which threw him to the concrete floor. "Fu---!"[/b] he screamed out, attempting to lift himself with his hands. A foot- or at least it felt like it,- smacked into Keio's cheek, sending him down again. "... wh... wha-... who the fuck are you?" he said in a sore, broken voice that was barely heard.
A golden light was switched on, from a lighter, and Keioto saw a familiar face behind it, the fire went out, and Keioto felt another punch in his face. His eyelids slipped close, and he was no longer concious. The three men left the alley, just afterwards, a sound was heard, Bzzz! Bzzz! Bz! ...
****
Keioto's eyelids flicked open, and he felt himself again. "Wha-..."
"Briiing! L-ling-l-ling! Bring!"[/b] Keioto heard the tone, and his forehead then felt dizzy. Keioto reached into his jacket pocket,- the phone was no longer there. But he heard it clearly, he blinked a bit to get his full eyesight back, and looked around where it may have dropped, Keio then spotted blinking colorful lights in the corner of his eye, which disappeared as soon as he looked to see where the phone was. "sh...shit... where am I?" muttered Keioto, as he crawled toward where he thought he saw the flashing lights. Keioto felt up the asphalt ground, and soon touched a soft, solid item, that wasn't part of the ground. He picked it up, and put his thumb at the side of it, it was his phone. He flipped it open, and a small white box in the screen said: One Missed Call[/color].
Keioto pressed a button on the panel of the V635 which exitted the box, and he then spotted what time it was. "Twelve o'clock?!" he exclaimed, though it wasn't exactly twelve, it was 12 : 56, closer to One o'clock than twelve. Keioto looked around and realized that he was in the alley, and what had happened earlier, which brought the pain in his cheek and head back. "oh great,"
Bzzz! Bz!
Keioto swung his head back to view the screen of the phone, Home Calling. Answer Voicemail?
He pushed his thumb hardly against one of the buttons, and then put the phone to his ear. "Ty-" before Keioto finished his saying he coughed and then spat out some blood from his mouth, "Ty...Tydis?"
"Keioto! Are you okay? Its much past nine, where are you?" A partially tired, though worried, voice asked. "Rena ... I'm ... I'm almost home, just give me an hour, ... or two..." Keioto stopped, he looked around, then said into the phone, "Or three or four ... maybe ... five." He closed the phone and slipped it back into his pocket, he slowly straightened his legs and stood, and dragged himself down the alley.
