{OOC: Fight over, continuing RP.}
Lucien opened his eyes.
He was in an unfamiliar place. Seemed to be happening a lot more now than one would expect. The first thing he noticed is that his whole body hurt. The second thing he noticed is that he was severely dehydrated -
Uh oh.
He sat up quickly, which was a bad idea. Wincing from the incurring pain in his abdomen, he slowly coaxed himself back down, laying his aching head softly on the bed. Taking a few seconds to take shallow breaths, he turned his head to the side, to see if anyone was with him.

"I would've advised against moving, but you already got the message."
A voice would speak up, as Daniel would move out from the corner of the room, a bottle of water in his hand. Lucien would find himself inside the spare room of Daniel's home in Dragon Territory, after he had carried the unconscious Crow all the way on his back.
"Can you sit up slowly? I'll help you, I just don't want you choking on the water and keeling over in my house."

Lucien looked over at Daniel, confused. Eager to ask questions, but more eager for the water in the man's hand, he slowly sat up, wincing every now and then.
When the water was offered, he took a large gulp, immediately wincing, and then taking a few more gulps.
When he was done, he gasped for air, panting slightly as the water slowly started to take his pain away. After a second, he looked up at Daniel.
"Why did you save me? Why are you helping me now, when we were just fighting...?"

David would be sitting, outside, with a small knife in his hand, using the tip to clean out from under his fingernails for a bit as he listened to the conversation on the wind, waiting to hear the responses.

Handing the bottle to Lucien after he helped The Crow sit up slowly, Daniel would casually fold his arms across his chest, looking back down at Lucien with his cold and hard as flint eyes.
"I am not so cold and heartless as to just leave you lying unconscious on the battle grounds Lucien. You are strong, and I respect your strength. The least I could do is help you to recover, to return to Crow Territory. I will be in my room, if you need anything, just call. There is more water in the glass jug on your bedside table if you require it."
With a curt nod to Lucien, he would then make his way out of the room, shutting the door behind him and leaving Lucien to rest and recover.

David leapt to the window, unlocking it with air and sliding it open. Once he'd done so, he would use air to sound proof the room, so anyone listening from another room or outside wouldn't be able to hear anything that was said or done. He would climb inside the window and watch Lucien, hands in his pockets.
"I believe he said your name was Lucien?"

Lucien frowned as Daniel left, thinking about what the man had said. Would he have done the same? Most likely. But he didn't expect the same courtesy to be given to him. It was nice to see, even though the man looked stern and intense, that he still had a heart.
And another man appeared, as if by the wind itself. Lucien looked him over, now able to move enough to turn to face the intruder.
"Yes, that is my name. And who might you be...?" He asked, trying to find some hint of the man's origins from his garb, or from his mannerisms.

David stuck his hands in his pockets, walking around the foot of the bed.
"I'm the Storm Dragon."
He would turn his eyes to the fellow and look him over.
"I watched your fight. You are strong, and I like that. Who are you affiliated with?"
As in, what gang. He asked because he liked to know his possible friends or future enemies, but also because he wouldn't mind offering this guy a place somewhere else...somewhere a little more elusive.

Lucien's eyes widened. Of course, of all the times for him to meet an Elder Dragon, it had to be after he got his ass handed to him. That this might reflect badly on him personally was one thing, but to the Crows, and... That was another thing...
He immediately stood up from the bed, wavering slightly but able to stand without too much pain. He faced the man, stretching his hand out for a shake.
"Terribly sorry, I know you only by name, since we've never met... It's very nice to meet you, Mister Blaze. I represent Crows. Thank you for the compliment, though I'm not sure that I deserve it, after that fight..."
At that, he was reminded of his pretty awful injuries, and began to waver on his feet, trying to sit down towards the bed...

David waved the man off after he shook his hand.
"Sit, sit. I've done some reshuffling so I can...have an extended leave, so I'm no longer running the dragons, no need for all the formality- and accepting a loss and failing are different. You got the loss, but you didn't fail."
He would take a seat toward the edge of the bed, allowing Lucien to retake his comfort. He would speak casually- without a real formal direction, but more like they were having a general conversation.
"I saw you go against Daniel- it was impressive. You held your own, and showed an impressive will to fight despite knowing you would lose. Even at the end, when you were near collapse, you had strong resolve. I like that. Tell me- do you have a direct trainer in the Crows? Or did you learn on your own time?"
He wanted an idea of who the man was friends with...what kind of style he had, and who he would turn to with information.

Lucien nodded, accepting the difference between the two. Looking inward, Lucien found David's words to be true, that his resolve was strong, even on the precipice of defeat.
"A trainer? Well, every Crow goes through a basic training. Beyond that, I've been working under Grim Prasad, in Anaheim, for a lot of the time I've been in Crows. Apart from that... Though I've never trained with her, First Black has been a mentor from time to time. You know Delilah, right?" He asked, knowing already that David knew both of the people he mentioned.

He gave a small smile.
"I am Very close with First Black, and have had the pleasure of fighting the Wolf myself, as well as a short conversation. Both are strong. Are you particularly close to one of them? If You had to choose sides between them, for instance, whose side would you choose?"
He left the meaning of that open- was he talking war, strategy meetings, or just in general? He'd let Luciens own mind answer that.

Lucien pondered the question, it was quite a serious one... But, he already knew the answer.
"If anything were to come between the Crows, if anyone's loyalty were to be questioned... As a Crow my duty is to the Zero, and to the First. So, if I had to side with either Delilah or Marcus, it would always be Delilah."
That was the Crow answer. The one that he knew would have been his answer anyways, even if he wasn't a Crow. Marcus was a good man, and a great friend, but... Delilah, who saved his life countless times, who would risk her own for his any day... He would follow her to death.

He gave a small smile.
Good answer.
Not that he didn't like Marcus- the guy was on the up and up. But Delilah was the First Crow, and loyalty, honor and respect were key. If Del somehow was deciding to side with Barker, David could understand, but otherwise, you always looked to your leaders.
"Do you like to fight, Lucien?"
A seemingly simple question.

That was not a simple question, not at all. Lucien had to think about this one. It wasn't that he was trying to think of what David wanted to hear, more that he hadn't thought about it in such black and white terms before.
"No, I don't. In fact, I try to not fight every chance I get. If you had asked if I enjoyed combat, then maybe my answer would be different. If you had asked about killing, my answer would still be no. Combat can be enjoyable, but the essence of combat is more about not fighting, isn't it?" He asked, trying to affirm himself.
"The truth is, I enjoyed that battle. I felt the thrill of trying to thwart Daniel by avoiding his attacks, and it was exciting. It was fun. Everything else, the fight, the killing... it's a necessity. Something that's only used to protect my life, and the life of those I've sworn to protect."
