"Gimme a frappicino, foamy thingy latte that looks real brown and real bubbly and has those cute little stirring sticks, please!"
Max said, rushing through the doors of the cafe making a little rucuss, not disturbing much of the customers though, as she made her way over to the counter. The lady behind gave her a blank look, she didn't look like she was staring at Max like she was some crazy woman or anything, it was just a blank look as she asked,
"What?"
Max, of course, didn't really know her coffee flavors because -- oh, oh, oh? She didn't DRINK COFFEE! Personally, she thought coffee was stupid, if you needed to stay up late, stay up late, but if you stay up to the point where you need coffee in at least thirty different special flavours then just hit the damn sack bloody idiots! Max thought coffee was just something that made your eyes stay open and tasted uber yucky, but she had stayed up until four a.m. trying to do some homework things, Xiang helped with that too when the girl kept coming around and smacking Max on the head with a pillow after her bedtime. Max thought right about now after her four-hour sleep that a coffee would be ... nice?
Sadly though, she didn't know what a coffee was, she didn't know there had to do with chocolate sprinkles or cinnamon ones, or foam or whipped cream or french vanillia or black. No. She thought you just went in a shop and said, "Gimme a coffee." Apparently not though.
"...can you get me something brown and hot, please?"
"Like?"
"COFFEE!"
"..."
"..."
"Want me to get you a hot chocolate?"
"Yes, please." Max decided not to bother with waiting and going through the long process of learning how to get your perfect coffee by the waitress, nah, she had to get ... to ... home? IT WASN'T SCHOOLDAY! IT WAS SATURDAY! Or was it? "Let me see on my wa..." Max was going to look at her watch, but then she remembered something, she didn't WEAR WATCHES!
"Damn, my day just keeps getting worse!" She cursed under her breath as she sipped her hot chocolate, seeing a marshmollow floating around in the hot drink Max immediatley thought EYEBALLS and shouted as she slapped the cup back onto the counter. "YOU SICKO! WANT ME TO FIRE YOU?!"
"If you keep coming to the store, I'd like that." Replied the waitress with a cheerful smile, "other then that though -- please shut up because your scaring the other customers, crazy woman."
"..." Max rolled her eyes and picked the chocolate back up, sipped it and then muttered under her breath, "Whatever....! The moron wants to give me stupid human parts in my drink, I'll get her for that ... I'll...I'll sue! MUAHAHAHAAAAA.....damn, I'm such a loser." She sighed and finished down a gulp.
OoC: ^_^ enjoy the hyperactiveness of MAX! MUAHAHAHA.

OOC: I hope you don't mind me joining.
Another late night, but what was one to do when kicked out by his parents? Violence wasn't worth resorting to at the moment, Jake was too drained to care on who would be his next victim, or something trivial like that. He only fought to boost his ego and vent anger, but nobody was worth doing it to, especially not this night. All Jake had in his hand was a hot chocolate because personally, coffee didn't really tickle his fancy too much, he had his black hood up, and next to his bench he had a bag normally seen for an athlete which deep inside lied his secret weapons which couldn't remain visible when out in the city. Jake's eyes dully stared down at his hot chocolate, his mind lost in many wonders, and his thoughts beginning to drift.
They were painful thoughts in reality, it was hard to think about happiness when there was nothing to be happy about. Especially in recent events, Jake freaking killed a GOD, how was he supposed to think happy things after doing something like that!?
Beginning to shake in his seat thinking of these thoughts, a mix emotion of superiority yet guilt for doing something so cruel, Jake didn't know what to think anymore. He was torn apart into so many thoughts, it was just hard to think straight now days.
"YOU SICKO! WANT ME TO FIRE YOU?!"
Woah! That just came out of no where! The yell made Jake slightly jump, and look over to the source of sound which was actually pretty close to him. A pretty good looking girl, somebody Jake definitely wouldn't mind looking at, and if he was any normal person, he wouldn't mind talking to her, unfortunately, he didn't do around with girl relations. Staring at her for a few seconds, focusing more on her eyes if anything, he sort of forgot that she might look at him back, and that would definitely be embarrassing!
It was funny, when it came to violence, Jake was an insane monster, but when it came to just talking to a simple girl, he was quite a shy guy.
So... Jake staring at her... how long until she notices... who knows? Will she care if she notices him looking at her? Well, she looked like one to care, so nobody knows...
I have a weird feeling this might turn out to be really awkward, at least Jake was staring more at the side of her face at her eyes than her boobs like a normal pervert would, that should give him bonus points!
OOC: I'm sorry it isn't the best, I'll try to do better in later posts, I promise. ;[

OoC: I doooooooooooooooooo not mind you joining at all! (: Sorry this post really shucks, I'm brain-fried and don't know what to make and have sooooooooooooo much other things to do
Aaaah.
The feeling of hot choclate running down her throat made her content, even at such an hour. Max mummered something under her breath as she took another sip and started to turn around on her seat, when she saw a pair of eyes looking her way.
And really, the guy sitting a few feet from her was really staring at her. Can't a girl drink a hot chocolate on her lonesome without being stared down?
Max sipped her chcolate neatly, as she stared right back at the guy with her jade gaze orbiting around him as she took a decent look at him. She was able to notice a few things, one was that he looked rather scary, the fact he was out so late -- or early, -- in a hoodie was intimidating, and then he didn't look too happy, and so on...
Max swallowed some air and took another gulp of her chocolate as she turned to the otherside and stopped looking at him, she still felt tired and hyper-fueled, wow...it was...so...super!
"It is like so ... wow!" She giggled to herself, standing up with her cup in hand. She placed both hands on the cup as she carefully took another sip, started walking toward nothing, and then plop --
"Well hello there. I'm ... you ... why were you looking at me? -- oh, I get it! Are you trying to steal my chocolate? 'cause I can buy you your own! And there won't be human stuff in it like this ... this...say, you know what? It's a marshmollow! These guys know good magic tricks!"
Max said, sitting down next to the guy who was looking at her.

Oh great, she saw him, not cool! What should Jake do now, what can he do!? What can he do god dammit!?
Panic mode!
Blinking a few times, it actually looked like she was going up to him, her going to talk to him? An attractive female going to talk to a cold blooded loser who stands no chance at getting a girl ever in his entire life? Her, someone who could actually talk, going to a guy who couldn't even form a proper sentence without probably making a fool of himself!
No, she was probably just going to pass him up, and make fun of him or something. It was people like this who really made Jake's blood boil, he just couldn't believe that some people could be so cruel as to use harsh words! This was what made him the violent killer he was, this was a good display as to why Jake killed a man on school grounds, and injured countless other people! It was just proof that this was why Jake was a psycho who lik-
Wait a second, was she talking to him? Moving his eyes away from her, and bending his head down at the table, his cheeks began to turn red, but luckily he had a hood on. This was a bit awkward, he really didn't know what to say to her. Even weirder was the fact that she sat down to him! Taking a big gulp, Jake gave a weak nod then tried to speak the best he could.
Which mind you was hard because he sort of liked her in a weird perverted teenage way...
"N-no, that's alright..."
Jake said pointing toward his hot chocolate in front of him, what was he supposed to use as an excuse for looking at her though!? He had to think of something, he couldn't just let her on to knowing he was a complete psycho, even though he sort of was...
"S-sorry, I just sort of... well, you... reminded me of someone..."
Yeah, let's go with that, it was the best thing Jake could think of, and all he had to do was expand the lie by saying that he didn't know any information on who she reminded him of! Yes, perfect, even if Jake was now slightly shaking from being nervous, he could at least think of something which was semi-smart to save his ass from total embarrassment!

"N-no, that's alright..."
Max rolled her eyes playfully when the guy rejected her offer to buy him a chocolate, but thinking for a second she thought if there would be a reason for that. And then all of a sudden "Oh yeah!" came to mind.
"Oh yeah, I forgot! Guys just magically are supposed to always be the one treating the girls to cappicinos and whatever! I'm sorry for almost breaking your uber-guydom rules! Really, my fault!" Max apologized, but then saw him pointing to his own hot chocolate he already had which made her turn a shade of embarassing red, she hadn't seen that but who would've cared if she had or not? She just offered him a free chocolate, ohgosh, was there something wrong with a second cup?
But, but, but -- Max wasn't really here to embarass him, curse him out which mind you Max would and could never do to anyone, or ... probably just "would" because she wasn't some stupid blonde or something who couldn't stand up for herself sometimes! Anyhow -- Max was here for answers, like why the heck was he looking at her like some pyschopath with very weird plans for the rest of the night and the idea of a bar in the little cafe' and giving her the chills?!
Max knew people took their time to explain stuff, but don't get rushed, she was giving him time. She was going to give him all the time in the world he needed or wanted to explain himself, she knew what she was there for and he knew what she was there for -- uh, at first sight you'd know Max wasn't the type of girl to approach a stranger just to talk to him about randomness -- so she knew there was an explanation around the corner somewhere in this little moment.
"S-sorry, I just sort of... well, you... reminded me of someone..."
...er."You've got your father's eyes, your mother's loving care, beauty's smile. You're so...so unique!" Yeah. that was what Max was usually told by people who saw her, like all her mother's wacko friends that used to visit her in that damned penthouse her mother arranged for her to live in before Max went on her own and rented that room at the local motel. Max wondered who she could've reminded this guy of, especially since Asain's and Irish folk didn't usually make babies a whole lot.
"Oh really? -- cool! Heck, before today I didn't there was more then one beautiful women left on earth!" She said jokingly, following with a sip of hot cocoa, she tasted the sweetness of the marshmollow sinking in and relieving her tastebuds even though she still had a feeling it was an eyeball... the four hours of sleep was still getting to her...
"I'm sorry, that was a joke. -- yeah, I kind of saw you staring at me from over here and was like 'Ohmigosh, I don't want to get raped tonight or something!', heh... so, who is this person? Your mom? Girlfriend maybe? -- I don't really get a 'look-alike' comment on a daily basis....or weekly...or monthly....or year-- so yeah?"

"You know... I just can't place my finger on it, I'm sorry..."
Jake responded ignoring all the other joke comments she made due to the fact that he really didn't have the best sense of humor in the world. Reaching out to grab his cup of hot chocolate with his right hand, he took a sip letting the silence sink in a little bit instead of saying anything settle. Of course, Jake could go off saying stuff, but he really didn't know what to say, talking to people just wasn't his strong point. He didn't want to let her know his bad side, even though it was unavoidable, and try to be as normal as possible for once.
Of course, being normal was a hard thing for someone who just purely wasn't normal. He didn't even know what to say, he didn't have a clue what to do. Putting his hot chocolate back on the table, swallowing and letting the hot fluids go down his throat giving him a good burning sensation, he turned his head to look back at her. His brown eyes peered through his glassed, his face not red like it once was, and he actually had some confidence beginning to come back in him. His eyes didn't really drift, it just remained on her face, why wasn't he really perverted? Well, Jake was many things, but weird enough, being a pervert really wasn't one of those many qualities.
"Yeah... so any reason you're... up so late?"
He didn't really know what to say, he made awkward pauses, and he really felt a bit uncomfortable around her. Of course, just his guy issues he had, and he even said some pretty stupid things, but he didn't want to look completely unsocial! Like those people who never says anything, and doesn't even try to keep a conversation going, those people were evil, as long as Jake could avoid being like that the best he could, all would be well! Right?

"You know... I just can't place my finger on it, I'm sorry..."
Max felt like blurting out in laughter right now, probably making a scene and having someone have to call a Mental Hospital to come pick her up because she just couldn't stop laughing for an oddly-unthinkable insane reason, but of course she didn't. Max hated making people feel bad, she hated it...very, very bad she did...
Okay, Maxwell Parker's Rules here: First, never to hurt a person's feelings. Second, who cares what type of serial killer, and/or crook, and and/or liar, and/or scamming who knows what else, etc., etc., a person you meet might be? Help them or perish. Third: Never humilate someone in public, and if mentally or physically by anyways possible, in private.
Max just ... didn't like that burden of being a bad person for no specific reason, no specific explanation or meaning or purpose, she didn't know what it was like to begin with but ... why take chances? Max sighed, lowering her head, even thinking about no-good-doers made her feel like the few good people deserved medals though they were probably the ones dying that very moment or being put down.
Max sighed again as she took a sip of her hot chocolate and then put it back onto the table, thinking about bad and good and stuff really made her dim the whole hyperactive light a bit but not by far. "That's okay..not all of us have the greatest memories, I guess." She replied as she slowly then took another sip of her drink. She had forgotten the fact that he could've just been lying too, since at first that was why Max wanted to laugh because how could she remind him of someone that he couldn't remember? Max had forgotten that though.
"Yeah... so any reason you're... up so late?"
The next question was shot out right at her, Max was ... thinking.
"Er...." She kept silent for a bit as she then took a huge gulp of her chocolate, but she did it politely like a young lady should, and then placed it back on the table softly as she then began to reply. "... -- uhm...Homework kept me up, and my roomate was driving me crazy and I couldn't sleep so I came...here, for a coffee but..y'know, twenty-one's the legal drinking age." She gave a light chuckle as she took another sip of her chocolate nervously, she didn't want to mention the fact that her "roomie" was a six-year-old. Max just wanted to ... talk?

It was difficult to form any words to respond to what she had just said, extremely difficult. While growing up, Jake never really learned what the hell a sense of humor was, and there for didn't really even crack a smile on his face. He kept it hidden, just staring down at the counter not knowing how to respond, she didn't ask anything, so how was he supposed to know what he should say? He had no knowledge on really how to respond to her, and he felt really uncomfortable right now. Knowing most people, the feeling of her soon getting bored and leaving was growing in his mind.
Normally when you look at a guy like Jake, you would think that being left alone was something they would want. It would make you think that he would think that one who talks a lot would be found to be annoying.
He didn't want her to leave him...
Sure he just met the girl, but it was a rare time when Jake was sitting side by side with someone. It really did feel nice, even the anti social like to be accepted...
He was only human.
After a small awkward silence, Jake forced himself to look at her, and he nodded as if he had just heard what she said. Slow reaction, but what more can you expect from him?
"Yeah, living with others is always tough..."
Of course, the person she lived with was probably no where near as bad as the people Jake live with. Hell, if it wasn't for them he probably wouldn't be as screwed up as he was.
