Her punch connected most satisfyingly, but he reached out and grabbed her hand, halting her momentum to a jerking stop. She pulled back on her arm, in vain of course, as a punch came up to sock her in the jaw. She launched backward again, though this time he was right after her, holding her just above the water's surface. A small wave crashed over, momentarily submerging her under the water. She resurfaced, sputtering as he held her. Water boarding...he was water boarding her as he spat hateful words in her face.
First there was shock. Never in her life would she have ever expected those words from his mouth. She couldn't even work up a retort since she was being attacked from three different angles. The words, the punching, the water...her head was beginning to swirl from pain and lack of oxygen.
You disgust me!
You'll never be normal Les!
How could I ever love someone like that-
Olesya sputtered, arms flailing as he continued to punch her in the face, the waves crashing over them with more and more ferocity.
We'll head east maybe, huh? Live a great fucking life without you!
...HURT ME!
She broke. But unlike a porcelain china doll, Olesya broke like a dam, pent up energy and emotion exploding with the force of a tsunami.
"ENOUGH~!"
Olesya's voice, but something more, booming...louder. Something primal. It was like the ocean itself was howling in pain and fury. A huge wave crashed over them forcefully, strong enough to knock even David back on his ass. Les was leaning forward where he'd left her, kneeling in the tumultuous water, climbing to her feet. Her eyes were completely ice blue...irises, pupils, and all...glowing with an ethereal power. The water swirled around her in an angry torrent. She rode forward on the wave, coming at him fast. She would throw her own punch after punch after punch, her fists encased in the angry water, crashing into him forcefully again and again.

David looked up as she shouted 'enough'- watched a wave soar above them as the water receding around heir bodies. His grip weakened, and he had the glint of pleasure in his eyes.
"Now thats what I'm talking abou-"
He was hit and hit hard- he didn't even defend with wind or try to fight back. David was blasted off her with a violent force, blood moving from his lips and into the sea as he was swirled round and round. He came to land several feet up the beach, on his hands and knees, coughing and sputtering as he choked. He twisted around onto his rump, watching Olesya, reading everything she did. The eyes- a physical manifestation of her power. It was awe inspiring. She rode the sea like she had been a part of it her whole life- the instinct That connected you to what felt like an extension of your arm.
Punch.
Punch.
Punch.
Davids head whipped back and forth with the repeated blows, water following its master to surround him. He would choke and sputter as she beat him, blood spraying from his nose, from his lips. A cut opened over his eye, his other cheek was badly bruised. If/as she paused, he would slump onto his back, laughing aloud, letting it fade after a quick moment.
"Haha...AUGH, damn! Ow! Ugh...I knew...I knew you could do it...I knew..."
He lay there, breathing heavily, face barely above the water as he would look up into her all-blue eyes.
"You, miss debogart... Have control over...water. Vast control....painful control."
He would watch her, all pretense and presence of the cold, rude, mean asshole previously were gone. He lay there, defeated, eyes clear and watching her with (as cheesy as it sounds) love and pride, smile fading.
"I am...sorry for the lies- for what I had to do and Say- to make you realize this wondrous power of yours. I...truly am."
He had no idea what it took out of her to hear him say the things...as she had no idea what it took from him to say them. He...expected her to leave him there, though he hoped not for good.

The waves receded, returning to their normal ebb and flow as if nothing had happened. The Dragon within her soul receded, and Olesya fell to her knees, exhausted and exhilarated from the flow of power. She still felt it in her soul, flowing serenely between the spaces she previous thought were empty. She climbed to her feet, her eyes returning to their normal color, though with a hint more blue in them. Not icy, unnatural blue that the correctional facility had left her with, but a deeper more oceanic blue pieced in between the hazel and ice blue.
"Van deBogart."
She corrected him tersely, walking toward where he lay in the sand. Her face was severe and angry, though the fire was gone from it, in its place was disappointment.
"You always got that wrong."
She looked down at him, frowning. His words still echoed around her brain, tearing little holes in her heart even after the apology had reached her ears.
"You will need a lot more than that."
She stated, the bitterness obvious in her tone. She didn't offer to help him up, just looked at him. He had insulted her job, her personality, her daughter, and their love. Everything that she held dear, he had attacked for the sake of unleashing her Qi. Identifying her true potential was extraordinary, but at this moment was incredibly bittersweet.

David lay there, eyes closed, in the wet sand. He gave a small, breathless smile when she corrected him and told him he never got it.
"Van Debogart. Right. I'll get it someday."
He would take several steadying breaths, before bringing down an arm and stuffing it into his pocket. He took out two small fruits- one was a Candy tear, the other a little more advanced. He held the advanced one out to her to take, and once she ate it would find herself perfectly healed and without even the slightest stitch in her side. He took the Candy tear, his face healing rapidly as the blood sealed the wounds...but still left small marks. Those might be gone in about a week, or might turn to scars. He didn't know or care. He pushed himself up, holding his head, as she said it would take a lot more than that.
He sat, Indian style, in the sand, shaking his head quickly to remove the excess water from his hair. He would look up at her and then at the sand beside him.
"Sit. Lets...talk for a little while."
He would wait for her to comply, before taking a deep breath. Inside he felt a small...bubble of fear. Almost as if he was worried that, whatever he said, she wouldn't take it. Baring your soul to someone was not...an easy thing, let alone someone whom you had recently wronged. But he thought back, to the nights, laying in bed, holding her. He thought to times when they would discuss what to do about Maddie, or about the army. How he felt he could confide in her but...was wary of doing so, because she was so reluctant to open up herself.
Yet, just a few days prior she had. She cried, told him she was sorry...if anyone had pride, it was David. Les was just as proud, and for her to take that leap into vulnerability....
He closed his eyes, let the breath back out...and decided. He could feel his hold on his restraint slipping, his mask and pride and...disguise to fall. He wouldn't hold anything back- after what she did, and what he just did, she deserved whatever she wanted to take.
"Les...while I was leading the Dragons...I struggled. Mentally. I had issues with the way things were. With how I'd let them get. Leon is...uncooperative, uncaring. Mathew feels he is the Godsend the world needs and deserves, yet only gets directly involved when he wants. A mountain of responsibility was on my shoulders. It...always has been. I understand that strength of body and character means that others will look to you for answers but...I felt betrayed. By them. By the world. By myself. Because inside I never really wanted to be in a position where...where everything fell to me. I worried that I wasn't strong enough for it- wasn't strong enough to stand and lead others to their death."
He stared off.
"You...haven't fought yet. Right now, your stressed about the finances, the food, the defense, the training, the people. But when you stand on a battlefield and watch the soldiers you worked with, shook hands with...met the families of get torn in half...."
His voice broke, and he looked down. He steadied his breath.
"It changes you. When I came home to you every day and saw your smile and felt Maddie run into my arms and giggle against my neck...I wondered if, someday, you would get a letter from Kazuya or Mathew telling you how I died. I wondered if it would be my body being buried in two pieces. But I kept fighting. I did it because I knew you believed in me. That Maddie proudly called me Papa Storm to her friends...at least a few months ago she did. I don't suppose she does anymore."
He used a thumb to wipe a tear from his left eye.
"I am a weak man, Les. Nobody sees it because I don't let them. I don't want anyone to know that the mighty Storm Dragon has a fear that he will leave those he loves with nothing but extra food rashions and a toast at the evening meal."
He turned to look at her, eyes a little red.
"When we argued and you...wanted to end it, told me I couldn't be trusted and that I never cared...I couldn't come to grasps with it. Much like you couldn't understand a few minutes ago. I wasn't trying to get you back- that wasn't my point but it felt...unreal. And something inside me just died. I couldn't stand and just go about my day, coming home to an empty house while I fretted about armies and people and mindless, nonsensical bullshit. I couldn't do it."
He shrugged.
"So, I left. I left, and I put someone in charge I know is strong enough for the job. You. You are riddled with this...self doubt, this innate fear that you are too weak. But you can do...so much. You wouldn't hesitate to make the hard choices, to fight...and though you would find yourself exhausted...you'd get up the next morning to do it again. Your like me...without the negatives."
He would watch her for a moment.
"I am proud of you Les. Im proud, and very sorry for today. It was necessary- I hope you understand that. But it doesn't make it any less painful."
Now, he went silent, hoping she might say something, or ask questions.

When he told her to sit, she leaned on her hip and crossed her arms. She was still angry enough to defy him just this little bit. But then he starting talking. Not just talking, but really talking. About everything. Everything that hurt him, everything that exhausted him, everything he feared and loved...
Just as she had opened up to him a couple days ago, he was finally returning the favor.
Once this realization dawned on her, Olesya sank to the sand, crossing her legs indian style with her hands lightly on her knees. She continued to look at him, processing everything...every word...every...tear.
What she saw in front of her was not the big strong invincible Storm Dragon he made everyone else seee. She saw a man, flawed and passionate and broken, just as much as she was. Her anger vanished like wisps of mist, and after a moment, she leaned forward and put her hand on his. Her heart still hurt, but as he had said, he needed to do it to propell her into being even stronger than she already was. It was bittersweet, but not avarice.
"You never had to do it alone, you know."
Her voice was slightly rough with emotion. She cleared her throat and continued.
"You made me your Voice for a reason, so that I may share your burden. I only left...because I thought you wanted me to. That I'd overstayed my welcome. That I'd crashed in and taken the place of someone else. Sometimes I still feel that way, but that has to do with my own insecurity. But please, I need to hear it...you didn't mean anything you said when we fought...?"
She asked, locking his deep blue eyes with her kaleidoscope ones. He had apologized, but she needed to hear the words to negate the terrible weight thtey left on her heart. He had taken all her weaknesses and prodded at them with a hot poker. Her job, her personality, her daughter, their love...all of it ached, leaving her feeling a bit shaky and out of place.

David let her take his hand, nodding as she said that's what he named her for. He didn't go on from there- she knew what the problems with that still were. Orders still came from him. Mens death still came because of his orders. The free world looked to a small corner of California as a beacon of hope and he had been forced to stand alone. There wasnt three people running the Dragons- not in Davids mind. There was David running the dragons, and two others having a good time. They didn't have any weight or any...real responsibility. Then she seemed to calm, and asked for him to let her know he never meant any of it.
He gave a small smile and brought his hand over onto hers.
"Les...I know you. Very well. Better than you think. Your fears and worries....I played on them. But they are just that- baseless, human fears. They are not at all who you are. I could never mean anything of the sorts. I said it to help make you stronger. I love you, and want to make sure your safe. If I can't do it by your side, I'll make sure you have the strength to stand alone in any way I can."
He would bring her hand up to his lips and kiss it.
"Also, technically, she's the one who crashed in. I've been into you since high school."
He paused, wondering if he had ever told her he had a crush on her at 259...though with the kissing in fights, he supposed it might be obvious.

When he brought her hand up to his lips to kiss it, she fought to keep her expression annoyed, though the corners of her mouth still turned upward at the gesture. Damn it, she could never stay angry at David, even for completely kicking her ass. He was her weakness.
"How about you give me a little warning next time, huh?"
She asked, gently punching him in the arm with her free hand. His next words caused her eyebrow to raise slightly in curiosity. He's crushed on her since high school? He'd left quite an impression on her as well. Junior year, her friend Emily came to her locker and told her she had someone she wanted her to meet. They'd gone to the pool, where a boy with jet black hair, toned muscles, and sunkissed skin was doing laps. He climbed out, shook her hand, and immediately punched her in the gut. Said he wanted to test her. And in that test, he'd kissed her, teaching her for the first time not to let her emotions get in the way, and then sent her flying into the tiled wall. Perhaps he'd done it for a lesson for himself as well.
Olesya smirked, replaying that memory in her head.
"Things were so much different back then, weren't they?"
She mused, looking nostalgic.

He shrugged.
"I guess. Though not so much...I led, left everything to you. We're just missing Emily to come in and help out."
He felt a bit...sad at the fact that Emily was gone, probably dead. He hadn't seen her since the bombs fell, and it wasn't like everyone at 259 could have lived through it. He rubbed his thumb across the top of her hand, wondering back to when they took things on together. Back when it was a simple 'Oh, this students picking on another student' or 'who will challenge us today?'. Now everything boiled down to 'better not mess up or your gonna die, your men are gonna die, and most of your civilians will be raped and murdered.' He looked back to her and took a deep breath.
"So. Tell me about everything you are doing now in the Dragons. Changes you have made or are making, defensive strategies, etcetera. If I can't be there in person to help, I can at least be an outside source for you to tap for advice."

"Yeah..."
Olesya looked down at the sand, remembering the news from Kazuya. Emily had been killed, though how she did not know. Possibly in the bombings for all she knew. Emily had been a strong and intelligent girl, someone that Olesya had looked up to, and was proud to call her fellow pillar.
"I miss her."
She was glad that he segwayed into another topic, as she was starting to feel depressed as well as nostalgic when thinking about Emily, and that wasn't a good combination, especially since she was coming down from her endorphin and adrenaline high.
"Well I reformed the core, as you know. Eurydice, Kiyr, Kazuya, and Aryn are the ones who showed. No idea where Levi is, but I'm going to track him down and see what's been happening with him. I don't know Aryn as well, so I gave her a different project to test her skills and see where we are at with that. Kiyr and Eury are recon, Kiyr is still in charge of agriculture and sustenance, Eury is in charge of hospitality. I want to make sure everyone is getting their needs met. In Levi's absence, I put Kazuya in charge of the whole army, I don't have time to watch them all. I'm covering defenses for now until I can expand my core a bit. It's...hard to do by myself."
She said, sympathizing with his explanation of the pressure he had been under. She was now under the same stress he had been, but she didn't have a voice to back her up. That's what her core was for.
"I'll take any help I can get. My going title is Interim-Elder, some people don't take me seriously for it. I have have the mind of taking over Elder for myself."
That was a big claim that she'd been tossing around in her head for some time, though this was the first time she'd voiced it aloud. Before now, she hadn't been endowed with a Qi, or rather, it had been dormant. All the Dragons were endowed with powerful Qis, some say the spirit of an elemental Dragon lives within them. Who ever heard of a powerless Dragon? Answer, there was none. But now...now things were different.

He nodded.
"Me too."
Davids eyes slowly came to hers, listening as she said everything she had done. He gave a nod every now and then, indicating he was listening and approved. He took a deep breath after she said she could use help.
"So far so good-"
He hadn't meant to interrupt her, but as she finished his eyebrows drew down. Become an Elder? She...technically couldn't, really. He knew that the upper echelon of the Dragons was confusing to most of the rest of the gang. They kept it that way on purpose- ambiguity and mystery was a good way to grasp power. He would frown.
"While I agree...and understand the problems you may be having with the title of interim Elder, It may not be possible for you to become one. You see, You must be made one, by an Elder that is already ruling. And...you have to have a name. There have been several recently who have tried to obtain a name, such as Kazuya- but the problem with that is you have to get an OK from each of the current named. And while Kazuya got one from Leon and from me, he's been unable to find Mathew and claim one from him. Therin lies the problem."
He chewed his lip a moment.
"If you just took on the title of Elder, Leon and Mathew may renounce you and try to force you out, or decide on civil war if you refuse to go. Mathew would probably take that route, and Leon unfortunately would side with him because they are old friends."
He gave a sad smile.
"Welcome to leading the Dragons. Where you do all the work, get a third of the credit and if you decide something the others don't like, they'll go with war against you. Maybe we should just abandon Leon and Mathew and join the Crows."
The last part was said bitterly, but almost as though he had been considering it.

Olesya scowled at this news. How absolutely ridiculous! Here she was running the whole goddamn place, and the great and powerful Dragons wouldn't recognize her because all the Dragons weren't even around to frant her such a privilege?! It was like being spat in the face, almost as insulting as being told she wasn't fit to run the Dragons in the first place.
"That's such shit."
She seethed, kicking at the sand.
"What you're telling me is that because the supposed 'legendary trio' don't fucking care enough to run their own goddamn territory, that I'm stuck being some interim bureaucratic second-best? Second best to who?! No one else is around!"
Olesya threw up her arms, getting visibly upset. After all the work she'd done, all the blood, sweat, and tears, she'd plateau'd at 'second best.' That wasn't good enough for her, not with everything she had to sacrifice. She climbed to her feet and started pacing, and idea working up like a storm in her head.
"And where are the rest of the Dragons, huh!? Our pillarship was toppled by you fucking bullies. Blew into town and took us all out. And where are they now?!"
She screamed, turning back to David and holding her hands out wide to encompass the empty beach. She resumed pacing.
"Someone told me...back in the day you lot would challenge each other for your titles. If the challenger won, they took the gear and the title. If they lost, the Dragon held their power. And if I can't have my own for whatever fucking bureaucratic reason..."
She stopped suddenly, turning to him, her eyes turning dark and stormy. Her voice was deadly even, vibrating with the hum of the waves. A challenge.
"I'm taking yours."

David watched her pace, saying nothing as she screamed and shouted. What she said was true- at some parts. Her words about none of them being around was true enough, and he really had no problems with her becoming an Elder, at least in the gang. He just didn't think any of the others were going to run with it. He would speak after she spoke about the pillarship.
"Les, Those Dragons were not named by any of us. We weren't a group back then. The Dragon titles just don't work like that. They are seperate in what-"
She cut him off, speaking about the older Dragon challenges. As she finished it out with a pause, he frowned. Why bring up the old rules? They probably weren't even in affect anymore. At least, it wasn't something He had ever had done to him. He watched her slowly turn to him, to which he closed his eyes and turned his face back out to the sea. Then came the next words- the words he had not expected to ever hear someone, anyone utter.
"I'm taking yours"
The wind blew back his hair a little, sifting through in a surprisingly calm reaction. He responded calmly.
"I love you, Les.”
He would push himself to his feet, turning toward her fully. His hands were at his sides, and he stared at her for a long time.
"You are strong, and I love you for it. But what you say you plan to take is...not something you should ever say lightly. But, you said it anyway and, despite the previous slights, this challenge wounds me the most. It's like...telling a Dragon he doesn't deserve his name. And if that's what you think...."
Smoke would start to rise off his body, a purple sort of air that seemed to his. His hands would clench, and from his gloves the stones on the back of them fell. Davids eyes shifted, and like her earlier, would turn to a full purple. Iris, pupil, the whites...everything. They seemed to glow. Sand tore up around him now, as he unleashed the power of his Qi full force. The crack of thunder blasted the horizon on a sunny day, as from out, over the sea, a massive pile of clouds rolled through the sky. Davids teeth were clenched now as, for the first time since he had been back, since he had fought Leon in high school, he let his own Dragon show.
"I accept your challenge. Come and take me then, Les, if you can."

Olesya may be foolhardy to challenge a Dragon such as David, especially when their own relationship was on the rocks...but she had had enough. She was tired of working so hard for so little credit. She was tired of not being recognized for her accomplishments. She was tired of sacrificing everything just to be told she was only second best. 'Yeah but you're not a REAL Dragon.''Who says I gotta listen to you? You're just a Voice.'She had to push and shove and claw her way into any sort of respect. Sure most of the recruits and some of the officers respected her and took orders without complaint, but they were getting attitudes on them. They were cocky. Without the Dragons' presence to keep them in line, they were starting to question authority. Olesya wanted to make sure that never happened again. "I mean what I said. I'm challenging you for your title. What use do you have for it out here anyway?!"Alright, well, that may have been a bit harsh, but she was still embittered by his fleeing. Both in high school and now. Every time Olesya had swooped in and picked up the slack without wanting anything more, but she was done. Now that her Qi was unlocked, she could feel the pull of the ocean as if it were her own lifeblood. She could sense the tiny droplets of water in the air, swirling on the current. She could feel the dampness of the sand beneath her feet. Everything was connected, it was all at her command. It was time to command it. "Try to keep up."She challenged, tapping into her inner power, her Qi. Her skin tingled, her eyes glowed light blue, and she pulled water from the ocean, coating her body like armor. She moved and it moved, like a second skin, charged with her Qi. She pushed off from the ground, flying at him with full force, opening with a simple right hook to the face. The opening move was always the hardest, but someone had to do it. Qi Name: Sirens Symphony
Qi Ability: Water manipulation
Qi summary:
Olesya has a wondrous ability to control the flow of water. How it moves, how it breaths. And how it attacks. She has full control over anything liquid, or anything containing water. She can breathe when under, easily able to pull the air out of the water when inside it. She can create fountains, blades, even manipulate the water in a persons blood. When standing in the ocean, she is not someone you would want to mess with.
Qi Strengths: She has control over water. Almost everything has water. What other strengths are needed?
Qi weaknesses: Creating or controlling vast amounts of water can be very taxing. If no water is readily available, she either has to take some from deep in the earth or from inside herself, which can cost vast amounts of energy, dehydration, even death.
* Beta-test Power: Healing
Olesya can heal moderate injuries once per post. She can heal small scrapes and bruises instantly as long as there is water covering the injured body part.

David turned his head and eyes to the ground as she uttered her last statement.
"You...don't know anything, do you?"
She was speaking from ignorance...she was speaking from ignorance...she...she was...
Olesya seemed to slow down in his mind, as his eyes closed. Even though she was charging him, the mind worked in lightning quick ways, and he experienced a sort of euphoria. And image was recalled- he was sitting with Delilah in her office, discussing her gang. David had made an offhanded remark about "Unfettered", about how he was never around. Delilah had raised her hackles like a gaurd dog, and exclaimed the faith she had, told him what an honor it was to serve the white haired german. How he did so much in the background, nobody could fathom it. How the loyalty of his gang was unshakable and steadfast. Why did he not inspire such loyalty? Why did Leon, and Mathew? Why could they come and go as they pleased and still be set on the pedastal, but when David walked the world went mad with hate?
Her words caught in his ears.
'Thats such shit.'
She was right, it was. She deserved to be an Elder- he didn't mind that. She just...needed to take steps to make her way there.
'What you're telling me is that because the supposed 'legendary trio' don't fucking care enough to run their own goddamn territory, that I'm stuck being some interim bureaucratic second-best? Second best to who?! No one else is around!'
He knew that. David, in his position, was always second best to the others. They had been Dragons longer and, therefore, were to be more respected. Their prescence galvinized the troops more than his ever could, because he saw them every day. His work was noticeable. Their wasn't, and so the men thought they worked in the background, a mysterious duo always protecting them from evil. Little did they know that Mathew was at home, probably cleaning baby puke off the bedsheets, while Leon sat on a dusty throne and picked his teeth, pretending to lead a kingdom. David did care, almost too much. But Olesya didn't hear that. She didn't hear him say he was too weak to rule, too weak for the pressure. She didn't understand that David...David never, ever wanted to lead anyone. He did because it was thrust into his hands against his will, even in high school. He only left when he did because he knew they didn't need him. Not anymore.
'And where are the rest of the Dragons, huh!? Our pillarship was toppled by you fucking bullies. Blew into town and took us all out. And where are they now?!'
That was false in every sense of the word. The dragons of old never made a gang or ruled anything together. The ones who toppled the pillarship were false, and weak little children. David, Leon and Mathew had been on opposite sides many times- just because they shared a namesake, didn't mean they owed each other anything. The others, the ones who claimed to be Dragons, were probably dead or off somewhere else. He didn't care enough to check, as they didn't matter to him.
'And if I can't have my own for whatever fucking bureaucratic reason...I'm taking yours.'
She was so wrong. Taking his title would mean nothing to her, because she had no understanding, no grasp of what that title meant. It didn't make her an Elder or even a leader- in fact, it would probably cause everyone to dislike her more. On a deeply personal level, that title was a reflection of your soul. To try and take ones title was to tell them they were unfit for it. That they were a coward. That they were nothing. Though the title itself didn't matter- it could be princess pink dragon for all he cared- it was still a reflection of self, chosen by others who saw the name within you. To David, she was trying to take it because she thought it would make her an Elder, and because she thought him too weak to stand with it. That was...unacceptable.
'I mean what I said. I'm challenging you for your title. What use do you have for it out here anyway?'
This was the last straw. She was telling him that because he made a choice she didn't like, that he needed to just forget and give up everything he was inside. If it were anyone else he would kill them for the insults she was laying on his shoulders. What did she want from him? Did she not give a damn about anything he had just said? She was showing an absolute lack of loyalty or respect. David had always tried his best to respect Les. He showed her just moments ago by pouring out his heart to her. In return, in the span of a heartbeat, she had turned around and told him he was basically nothing, and useless. Would someone do that to Del? To Unfettered? Why should he be the one to have to-!?
David would extend his right hand, wind wrapped around it and his arm in a tornado. Her punch would slam home, but his hand would intend to grab her by the neck. His head would jerk to the right, but he would look back at her immediately and run with her to slam her into a wall further up the beach, a tussle of wind around them- so if she tried to pull more water to herself, it would be thrown off by the wind around them.
"I tell you everything I did, and you still don't understand. Your show such anger. You toss out petty words. What do want from me, Les? Having my heart and listening to me bare my soul isn't good enough? Did you not understand anything I just said? Do you even understand what it was LIKE for me to admit my weakness, or that I never wanted to rule? Instead of talking with me and working to become stronger to earn something of your own, you dishonor me and spit in my face. My title wouldn't make you a leader, but instead of finding out what will, or using my knowledge to know what it means to be one, you insult me and say you want to take my name."
He would release her neck and take two steps back, assuming everything worked. He'd wait for her to regain her composure but if she started talking again, he would interrupt.
"Shut up, I don't care about what you have to say."
He would then attack. If she didn't try to speak, he wouldn't speak either and would just attack her. He'd let the wind die out around them, as that was sucking unecessary energy, and would aim a left front kick for her chest to send her back into the wall, this time with cracks splintering about her body. At least, that was the idea.

In a whoosh, he slammed herinto a wall far down the beach, knocking the wind out of her and whipped the water from around her body. The bricks splineterd ever so slightly like spider webs around her form. She would laugh, but she couldn't breathe.
"I tell you everything I did, and you still don't understand. Your show such anger. You toss out petty words. What do want from me, Les? Having my heart and listening to me bare my soul isn't good enough? Did you not understand anything I just said?-
Of course she'd understood, and she'd accepted his words as a man, because who David was as a man, and who David was as a leader were two different things. Just as who she was as a woman, and who she was as a leader, were two different things.
"-Do you even understand what it was LIKE for me to admit my weakness, or that I never wanted to rule? Instead of talking with me and working to become stronger to earn something of your own, you dishonor me and spit in my face. My title wouldn't make you a leader, but instead of finding out what will, or using my knowledge to know what it means to be one, you insult me and say you want to take my name."
"You had no problem with me taking your name before-"
She laughed hoarsley, climbing to her feet and catching her breath.
"Shut up, I don't care about what you have to say."
So much for talking it out.
She took the kick to the chest, careening bakc into the wall. She hit it with an 'oomph,' raising her arms and pulling hard at the air as she fell to the ground in a crouch. A giant wave came in, crashing over them both with the force of a mack truck.
