"Hrrumph. Thanks ain't necessary Ms. Crow, what I want is fer yer lot to have a greater and visible presence here than the poor excuse you called a division of Crows. Sorry son, but it's the darn truth."
"... I know pop..."
"Offer me a position in yer little gang? I'm more wondering about this man yeh say yer gonna install here. Them folks may not take too kindly to this fresh meat coming outta nowhere to be perfectly honest Ms. Crow. I don't like relying on anyone else's stuff but mah own two hands, or followin' the orders of youngin' Ms. Crow, so forgive me if I'm not exactly jumpin' at the opportunity. I'll think on it, but don't expect my answer to change Ms. Crow. Now if you'll excuse me, I have work to do."
The big guy would continue to stare down at Marcus, paying no heed to the catlike grin on the Grim's face.
"Yeah. Boss told me to make sure no one goes in until he's done. Hey... You look kinda familiar... I think I've seen you before..."

Delilah nodded her agreement at his words, pressing on. "That's exactly why I'd like you to be in a position of true authority, even among the Crows. Someone you can mold and shape into the role that this region needs.
"All I ask is that you think on it; the process would go a lot more smoothly with you, I have no doubts in my mind about that."
Inclining her head politely, Delilah would excuse herself unless the older man had any extra words. If he didn't...She would turn to the other Crow's with her, again.
"Tengu are going to set up a temporary soup kitchen near the beach; start off on the right foot with the civilians. Anything we should know before we go?"

Marcus cocked his head to the side inquisitively. Done? Done doing what exactly? Five minutes were beginning to seem alot longer now in retrospect. Especially since there was a chance Tweedle Dee over here might have caught Sight of Marcus during the Defense of the Nest.
Time for some patented fast talking.
"Yeah I get that alot." He replied Casually with a shrug before taking his Flatcap off and shaking his long hair out. "Lemme guess, I look alot like Jason Momoa? Dude played Khal Drogo, Ronon Dex, and freaking Conan before the great Fall as I remembered. Like I said, I get that alot. I think It's the beard myself."
"Say, My Five Minutes up yet?"

"Hmmmph... So I'd be the mentor to this Crow you want to put in charge. I'll be frank Ms. Crow, I don't take pupils, I hate teaching people. But I also know the citizens trust me more than anyone else in the town. I'll think on it Ms. Crow, and if my decision changes, I'll send Connor to tell you, but don't hold your breath."
Returning to his paperwork, effectively telling Delilah that she was free to leave, once back outside, silence would follow, but not an awkward silence, but one of contemplating, as Elijah would speak up.
"Nothing that we haven't already mentioned ma'am, except for maybe that we were going to work on the lighthouse today, get it back into working shape."
The big guy would continue to stare down at Marcus as he pulled his flat cap off and shook his long hair out, the frown that crossed his face was so frightening enough to scare the living daylights out of anyone, even Marcus would feel himself shiver slightly from it.
"Khal Drogo...? Oh... That guy, Game of Thrones. But no, that not it. I feel like I seen you somewhere before, some big battle at some Nest or some-"
Just as he began to recognize who the Grim was, his attention would be diverted away from Marcus and to his other question, causing him to frown even more in confusion.
"What? Oh, right, yeah, you can go in Conan, boss man should be done, don't do anything stupid."
He'd then step to the side, allowing Marcus to head through the wooden door, he had been standing in front of, though his eyes would be glued to the Grim as he would pass by, and even when he disappeared through the door, Marcus would still be able to feel the big guy's eyes on him through the solid wooden door.
"I'll be taking some of the other Crows with me to the lighthouse, but if the Tengu need some of us at the beach, I'll take a smaller group then ma'am."

Delilah shook her head, "That's fine; I'll help you with the lighthouse first, and then we can all go back for the soup kitchen later. The Tengu will have everything pretty much under control, and will call if they need me."
It was a damn good thing she was a mechanic, after all.

Well, not much else to do now but saunter past the big oaf, offering him a tip of the cap before walking on in. The rest was HOPEFULLY going to be diplomacy. His plan was to leave this place with an outcome that would satisfy Hermosa, Delilah, AND the men here.
No small task of course. He had to simultaneously invoke a measure of fear AND respect into this so called leader man. Hence why he came alone, snuck his way into the heart of the scrapyard and why he refused to kill a single person.
The message would be clear.
We are Crows. Your Defenses mean nothing. We will Always find you. We can always touch you. And if we so choose... We WILL end you.
Just not tonight. Once Marcus would reach the bottom he would begin casing whatever room he found himself in with a cursory glance.

"Much obliged ma'am."Turning away from Delilah, Elijah would begin moving away from Sheriff Miller's office and lead the group back to the lighthouse, Shane bringing up the rear. As Marcus headed through the doorway, the door closing behind him. As soon as he entered, stairs leading down would greet him, as at the very bottom of the stairs, he'd just barely make out a table with just barely visible papers of sorts lying on top of it, and a figure standing behind the table, pouring over the papers. "So you've come huh, Grim Marcus Prasad? Why am I not surprised."The figure would say before looking up, revealing himself as Ken Tanner, the gang leader that had made an alliance with Kiyoshi Akechi, but when the First Crow had died, that alliance had dissolved. "What the hell do you want? Barker's not dead yet, and I won't let my chance to destroy him myself slip away."Reaching the lighthouse, Elijah would direct three members to take the first and ground floor, three more to take the second floor, leaving him, Shane, and Delilah with the third and top floor, which housed the spotlight.

(Ooc) almost forgot about this thread....(ooc)
So this was Ken Tanner huh? The man seemed willing to talk at the very least, a good sign so far. Marcus began to walk around the room slowly, playing at idley inspecting the various objects in the room.
Kens comment of not being surprised sent a chilling smirk across Marcus' face. "Well mabey because your a smart enough man to know he can't bite the hand that feeds without getting a slap on the nose." He said casually as he picked up a random palm sized nick nack and began playing with it between his fingers before continuing his measured inspection of the room, speaking without looking the other man in the face.
"Many call you traitor. The facts of war tend to excite the blood you see." Finally Marcus turned to face the man, making himself comfortable by leaning his backside against a table and crossing his arms, fixing Mr. Tanner with a shrewd gaze. "Me, I see only business. That's why I'm here, for business. Because believe you me, the lineup for Barkers head is LONG and you my friend are far in the back of the line."
