Another daily running session. School was out of the day, and today Travis decided that he would go for a little jog, but instead of doing it around his neighborhood, he would do it at the beach. Why not? It was sunny, a rather good day out. And not to mention there would be eye-candy there. The beach was full of 'hot babes', as his rather short co-leader would put it. And maybe he would even be able to pick up a few gang members if he played his cards right. After all, The Syndicate was in it's early stages of gangdom. It needed members to help it grow. So Travis was always on the lookout.
His longish orangeish-red hair was held back against his head by that same black leather bandanna and the black and silver goggles that helped keep it in place upon his head. He wore a rather tight black tanktop, which curved and fit nice to his torso as he jogged his way down the stretch. Upon his waist was a pair of black shorts that he used when he went out for his jogs. A plain pare of white tennis shoes padded his feet as he continued to run a long the beach. His vivid blue orbs gazing about as he passed people lounging on the beach. Today was a nice day. A perfect day for exercise. Though he did wish that he could get a different type of exercise. Something just a bit tougher then this. A fight. Though that would come later, he was sure.

What do you know? Zade found himself once more in the beach. What a surprise? Not really, actually, considering that he lived only a few blocks away. Speaking of where he lived, where was Aurora? He had not seen her since he returned. Could it be that she had moved out? Nah, her things were still in the apartment. So, where did she go to? Well, now wasn't the time to forget that. Now, was the time to oogle at the beach babes that filled the whole area and hopefully find one he could spend dinner with. Zade grinned, then stepped into the sand.
He was wearing a black sports shoes, his socks barely visible. For his legs, he wore black bermudas. Of course, he wouldn't be caught dead wearing a plain bermudas, right? At the bottom of the bermudas, were designs of silver-coloured flames that reached up to where his thighs were. As for his upper body wear? He was wearing a plain blue shirt with a dark blue unbuttoned polo shirt on top. Of course, this meant that his silver necklaces in visible. That silver nceklace that had a silver cross attatched to it.
Walking towards the nearest babe, he decided to put his charms into action. "Hey. I thought you were looking kinda lonely, so I decided to give you some company." He said with a smile adorning his face. And then, there were loud footsteps behind him, followed by a loud gruff. You know, the sound the bull makes in cartoons when they get mad, very mad. Zade could immediately tell what was gonna happen. "Get away from my girl!" Zade turned his head, only to find himself looking at a very, very large fist.
I'm not really gonna go into detials, so I'm gonna skip all the violent part. Well, after a few grunts and a loud thud, Zade ended up standing once more in front of the giggling girl, the large thug lying face down on the sand somewhere to his right. "Your kinda strong, aren't you?" Zade grinned, then replied. "Why, of course."

"Get away from my girl!"
A rather large, angered voice had shouted out, and Travis' attention would be pulled in that direction as he stopped jogging, his chest heaving slightly as his vivid blue orbs fell upon a large man that was not laying upon the sand, and a rather interesting boy that seemed to have knocked that big man onto his ass. A small grin crossed his face as he continued to observe for a few seconds. His ears picking up the rest of the words that seemed to cross between the two, the boy who had knocked out the other, and the girl that was probably the cause of it all.
"Your kinda strong, aren't you?"
"Why, of course."
Travis continued to smirk. A small little laugh escaped his lips as he straightened up, and then changed his direction up a bit. He began to walk toward the two. His eyes falling upon that 'beach babe'. He would only let them linger for a few seconds before he twisted his head slightly and stared at the boy who had answered the girl.
"Yeah.. Your just a big tough guy huh?"
Showing off? trying to be a jackass? cock-blocking, if you will? Maybe just a bit. He did like to screw with people tonight. And he laughed at the thought that he might just screw up this kids chance with that rather cute girl beside him. His left hand would lift as it went to the leather bandanna and goggles. He adjusted then to his liking, and then dropped that hand down to his waist, his thumb hooking his waistband.

Zade turned his head as he heard another voice, thinking that it was directed to him. He soon found himself looking at another kid, maybe somewhere around his age, wearing goggles on his forehead and a bandana. No, not the swimming goggles. It was more of like the goggles that bikers, who were too stubborn to use helmets, wore to protect thier eyes. A smile still adorning his face, Zade simply shrugged.
"Well, you could say it was rather easy. That big block was just too slow. You know how they are."
Zade turned his head to look at the large guy. Strength, for speed. It was a choice that most fighter had to decide. If they wanted strength, they'd have to sacrifice most of their speed. If they wanted speed, they'd have to do likewise to their strength. It was a basic principle of combat. Though, it is possible to achieve both, but very difficult. He then turned back to the biker guy, then out-stretched his hand. Why? Well, this guy didn't seem to be hostile, but still, that was only a first impression. And first impressions tended to be always wrong.
"Name's Zade."

"Well, you could say it was rather easy. That big block was just too slow. You know how they are."
"Hah.. If you say so my friend.."
Travis would watch the boy for a few more seconds. He wished he wasn't one to judge so soon. But sometimes it was just way too hard. After a bit, the boy would extend his hand, and he would speak his name. An odd one for sure, but he had heard worse. He actually kinda liked the name. But would he say that? No. And would he shake the boys hand? No. Why? Well, he wasn't one to trust someone so easily. He wasn't stupid. Something like a handshake could easily get him off-guard. In fact, the only real way he ever trusted someone, was by fighting them. You can never know someone until they have faced you on a 'battlefield' of some sort. At least thats the way that he viewed it. He would only eye it, and then turn away slightly.
"Zade huh? Cool.. I'm Travis.. No offense, but I don't shake hands.."

"Your call."
Zade shrugged as he pulled away his hands. So much for a friendly meeting. For some reason, Zade felt a particular aura exerting from this guy. A battle aura, to be precise. Was he a fighter? Well, there was only one way to find out. Actually, there were plenty of ways. One, is just to attack him. Two, is to ask. And three, piss him off enough to get him to attack. Yeah. There were plenty of ways to go through with this, but considering how unviolent Zade is out of battle, he decided to use the most sophisticated way. Asking. Well, kinda lame really, but meh, it seemed to be the best decision at the moment. Don't ask why. It just felt like it. Zade brushed his brown hair back with his right hand, the girl beside him starting to get bored.
"So, you a fighter?"
Zade let a smile grow on his face, and he saw at the corner of his eyes that the girl had one too. What? She liked guys fighting over him? Well, Zade couldn't see why. She had a great figure, a cute face and very, very... Matured. Ah, hell. Zade's attention went back to Travis as he waited for his reply. Zade didn't consider himself a fighter, though he did fight. He only uses it for self-defense or for the defense for others, but having a little fun wouldn't hurt... Much.

"Your call."
Travis wouldn't acknowledge that he had heard that. He would only turn back to the boy, and then look toward the rather attractive female beside him. She seemed bored, and then Zade spoke again. What he said seemed to brighten that girl up a bit. And Travis found himself smiling slightly.
"So, you a fighter?"
"I live for fighting.."
The truth? sorta. He did love a good fight. But he could live without it as well. Though he had been brought up on fighting. Kick boxing was one of his favorite things to do. He still trained regularly. And now that he attended 259, he probably got more use of his skills. Though hearing that come from this boys lips, he had a good idea that he would soon be getting into a fight. Or a spar as some called it. Whatever, it was a fight. He wanted to impress this girl right? Well.. If he could compete with Travis, and he could beat Travis, he might get the girl. But Travis would not let a loss come so easily. This Zade kid would have to earn it.
"Do I hear a challenge?"
Travis would smirk, allowing himself to take a few measured steps backwards. His eyes narrowing slightly as his hands slip from his waist to dangle loosely by his sides. He was constantly alert. Constantly ready for some kind of fight. Having train so long, he was always ready. You never knew when someone would try and start something. Whether this fight was friendly or not, Travis wouldn't be so keen as to take it really easy. No, he wouldn't stop himself from hurting the boy. He wouldn't try to break anything of course. But shit happens.
"If so.. Please show me what you have.. Haha.. I guarentee I won't fall as fast as that big dude did.."

Oh-ho! And the fight had started even before Zade could even acknowledge what was happening. The last sentence registering into Zade's head, a smile crept up ont the freshman's face. Letting a shrug come out from his shoulders, he took a few steps backwards, giving some distance between them. True, Zade loved to enojoy his fights, but he still kept in mind his honour during combat. He wasn't gonna attack an unprepared opponent. That was a big no-no. Zade looked at Travis, the smile still on his lips.
"Ready?"
Zade clenched his fists. He jerked his head to the side, lettin out a crack, before letting out an wide-mouthed sigh. Well, that felt much better. His eyes stayed ficed onto the opponent's. No, not an angry glare that held a grudge. More like a friendly look, full of respect. There was something about this guy that made him stand out from the rest. Zade looked higher up from his eyes... The goggles? Zade chuckled in his head. Well, not many people wears biker goggles without having bikes around.

"Ready?"
"..Always.."
Travis' eyes would narrow, any smile on his face fell. He was completely ready for this, mentally and physically. He wouldn't let his guard down, and he wasn't about to let his opponent win so easily. If this kid was to win today, he would have to work hard for it.
Travis' stance would soon form. His hands lifting up, bent at the elbows slightly as they rest in front of him, his legs bent at the knees, balancing himself on the balls of his feet, bouncing slightly. He was ready to go, and it would definitely look as if that was true now. A fight was a fight to him. There was no playing around. And he wouldn't go too easy in a 'spar'. But he wasn't going to attack first. He liked to observe his opponents. To see what they really fought like. So he would nod once again and wait for the attack.

Zade nodded. As always, he had to take the first attack. He was aware that there was an invisible rule that in every battle, the first strike was always dodged, blocked or countered. Unless, of course, there was a twist. Zade smirked, then shifted his right leg back, his body turning to face the side. He lifted his arms, his hands unclenched. Letting out a single chuckle, he leapt forward, his left hand in front with the palm facing Travis with his right hand went back in front of his stomach, turning into a fist. When he was close enough, he threw his right fist forward. At that moment, his right foot was in front, his left leg behind, his right fist darting forward while his left hand was retreating.
And then, there was a sudden change in his motion. His right foot suddenly twisted, the toes facing his left instead of Travis. And then, his left leg pushed backwards, his right leg staying on the ground as he suddenly spun towards his right. And then, his left hand stretched outwards and backhanded Travis once he made a complete 180 degrees turn, letting his left foot touch the ground. Whether or not that connected, Zade would add up with a straight jab to the upper torso with his right hand.
The smile had faded away, his face was firm and serious. This was how he acted during fights, whether or not it was friendly or otherwise.

And the fight was on. Travis would continue to watch the boy as he began to move. He didn't know his style just yet. He didn't know how experienced he was. He didn't know anything about his opponent just yet. All he knew was that he should be careful. And he would be. But he wasn't dumb either. If he saw an opening he would take it. And he would take it had. There was no holding back. No, he was not the kind of person that would do that. He would crush him if he had that chance. Permanently injure? No way. Just damage and bruise him. Besides, this boy could be good. He could be one of the few Travis would recruit into his gang, if everything went well.
And as his opponent moved toward him, and seemed as if he would throw a punch, Travis would just push off the ground, backwards slightly and allow himself to move away from he boy a short distance, just out of reach as he began to spin. It seemed that he would try and perform some kind of fancy attack. But Travis wasn't about to let a chance like this go. As the boy began to show signs of spinning, Travis would attack. He would allow his left foot to steady, and take balance as he sent his right foot foreword, his body lunging with it slightly as he extended his heel a bit by pulling his toes back toward him. He aimed to slam that kick against Zade's lower back, or side. Depeding on how far he had gotten with that spin.

Zade's eyes opened wide as he felt a strong pressure hit against his waist and his body jerked towards the side as it was pushed at another direction. Zade quickly turned to face Travis, but found himself staggering backwards for balance. Mental note, never turn your back to Travis. Sneaky guy. Zade kept his face firm, concentrating as he got back onto his stance. He could care about his waist later. Right now, he had a spar to win. He dashed forward once more, lowering his body slightly to decrease the air resistance of his body. His arms were limp, waving in the air as he dashed forward. When he was close enough, he pressed his shoes onto the sand, digging deep into the rock fragments as he threw his right fist forward at Travis' chest, followed by a left jab towards his shoulder, and then a knee strike to his stomach.

The kick was in, the kick scored. He slammed that foot against Zade's waist and he watched the a satisfied look as he staggered a bit after it. Maybe his opponent had underestimated him? He hoped so. He loved to prove that he was no weakling. That he wasn't afraid to fight anyone. That he would try his hardest to win every single fight he was ever put into. And without much waiting time, Zade would be back into the fight. Good. Travis didn't want this to last forever. After all, he really considered this a type of test. To see what this boy could do.
He watched as the boy came. He was lowered slightly, and coming fast. And one Zade neared, he threw his first attack. A right toward Travis' torso area. Had Travis not been paying attention, it would have struck hard. But no, he wasn't going to be stupid. He would quickly duck downward. The punch would missed, and as Zade began o throw his next attack, Travis would allow his body to twist and spins lightly, so that his back was facing Zade. Both of his arms would lift and attempt to grapple onto the boy's second thrown limb. He would have a grapple upon the boy, a tight one at that, but he would get slammed in the back by the knee. It didn't feel good at all. Travis would grunt, and wince, his eyes narrowing with the pain as he held onto the boys limb hard.
And then he would attempt to pull off an attack of sorts. Seeing as he had the boy's arm, over his left shoulder, he would use that as a lever. He would pull downward with as much strength as he could muster at the time, and what would happen? Well, if the boy didn't cooperate with the attack, it was quite possible that he could dislocate or break his arm right then and there. But if he allowed himself to be manipulated, Travis would bend foreword a bit and toss the boy over his shoulder, and keep his grip upon the arm. And as the boy lay upon the beach, he would drag his body a little bit closer, lift his right leg up quickly and then aim to land a mean stomp against his chest, while he was grounded.

Zade gritted his teeth as he surveyed the situation he was in now. His arm was being held hostage. And then, Travis did the expectable thing. To throw him over his shoulders. Wanting to keep his arm in once piece, Zade jumped upwards, letting Travis throw him over. Of course, he wouldn't be doing it so easily. Zade bent his legs at his knees, then landed on the ground on his two feet. The impact sent a shock that climbed up his legs, causing them to numb up a little. But that didn't stop him. He shot off with his legs, pulling at his arm as he threw his body towards Travis', striking at his stomach with a head butt. This, of course, would cause him to let go of Zade's hand, or at least loosen the grip. That was when Zade would twist himself around, then raise his right leg to his chest before throwing a hard kick at Travis' torso.
This battle was certainly getting interesting. Zade had never fought someone this skilled before, and it was certainly psyching Zade up. He had never been so desperate in a battle before. Zade was seriously starting to enjoy his life this city.
