While it was a generally accepted fact that Bastille despised the dragons and plotted their downfall, it was also generally accepted that her marriage to Mathew acted both as a restraining order and a treaty. But that didn't mean Bastille acted on her duties as his voice or that she didn't eternally find any round about way to make matters worse for them - only if it didn't hinder their mutual fight against Barker of course.
So, it was without much surprise that everyone was beyond jaw-droppingly confounded by the fact that Bastille was now standing in one of the main headquarters of Dragon Territory, bent over a couple of maps and barking orders. This was only made more suitably shocking by the fact that strapped to her back in a make shift baby carrier was a tiny little girl fast asleep and another was at her hip, wide awake and looking around- giggling at the chaos she was causing.
Many dragonlings refused to move because they couldn't seem to fathom this NOT being a practical joke.
Bastille looked over another map and sighed.
"This is ridiculous, we need more ground...."

[OOC: For contingency sake and my own sanity, I'll state this is after Keep Friends Close. ^_^]
So Eury actually had duties now. Given some kind of 'order' no not order, because Eury never really did the whole taking orders thing. Her and authority weren't the best of friends so she took most things more so as a request, unless of course there was no other way to take it. Well then it would be up to her to decide to take it or leave it. But as of currently she was on recon and hospitality duty; one she preferred over the other but nevertheless the brunette accepted. Now she also wasn't one to pull rank or really step into a leadership type roll so easily without it being a major necessity. Not that she didn't have the qualities, Kilik and others told her she did it was just a choice especially after the death of her comrade that she still blames herself inside for. Being a leader was a responsibility she was a bit hesitant on, though on the outside she may not show it it was present nonetheless. Inner self doubt was the worse. She was a strong woman inside and out but even then so everyone has their demons.
So with new duties came a slew of new responsibilities and for this lovely woman who had been missing for a few years she didn't know her way around the place at all. Sure she roamed around the city sticking within Dragon Land's walls for the sake of keeping with what Leon had asked, she didn't come and roam around in the headquarters or anything really having to do with the Dragons. Now would be a great time no? So Eury asked for an escort, Leon had given her someone after all though she didn't bother using them until now. As the pair strolled about her eyes scanned every area placing it into her memory bank. The sound of shouting came into her ears as they passed by one of the main headquarters, people just outside clearly murmuring about something. The curiosity, like that of a cat, made her gravitate towards the source without hesitation. The soldiers easily stepped aside and if they didn't Eury placed a hand upon their shoulder or arm and gave a gentle nudge for them to but certainly noting the expression upon their faces.
Once inside hazel greens locked onto a familiar female armed with babies? Eury's brow perked instantly with bewilderment at Bastille. That was a sight you normally don't see. Even Eury's escort perked his brow a bit looking over the female in the room. A smile creeped on the woman's face thinking about the things woman had to do. Raising children, being strong wives and in occassion fighting a war among many other aspects. After all men go to the battle, women wage war.
"Couldn't get a babysitter nowadays?"
Eury's voice spoke up noting the beautiful girls tethered to Bastille's form. Eury just was having all the luck constantly running into women with children huh? It made it all the more difficult for her but she kept carrying on.
"Hmm judging by the dumbfoundedness I walked through I take it this is out of the norm.."

"Oh?" Bastille raised a brow. "The only thing I find harder than being a mother myself is finding someone to do it for me for a couple of hours- and do it right." She sighed, Evelyn reaching back for the cool little markers on the dimly lit table.
She almost ignored the second comment as another dragonling bravely spoke up.
"It's a well known fact that the voice of the earth dragon actually hates the dragons. We weren't expecting her in today....or...ever" The man said as quietly as he could.
"You there!" Bastille called to the man and the man gulped turning around and nodding.
"Yes M'Lady" He replied. M'Lady- something Bastille had instructed them to call her since, while she wasn't a fan of sexism, it was a whole lot more elegant sounding than 'my lord' or 'sir' or even 'mame'
"Go fetch me more maps of the area- topographical, from the Library on east, They should be saved in the basement. Hurry before I get bored and burn the ones we have in the mean time" She said lightly before looking back up to Eury.
"What do you say to a break? Perhaps some tea?"

[OOC: BTW me likey the siggy ^_^.. Also since the drinking thread isn't done, not sure if Eury would've found out Bastille is with Matthew so if you think she would've let me know I'll either edit here or place in text post]
Eury snickered a little at the comment she could certainly relate to that, especially in their beginning stages. She watched the curious little princess reaching for the markers. A little twinkle glinted within Eury's eyes remembering how her own used to literally try to grab for anything and everything within their reach. But that was suddenly demolished by the brave man's sudden desire to speak up yet as soon as he did he was easily placed back into his place.
~M'Lady huh.. I always loved how that sounded actually~
It always had a nice ring to it. Eury's eyes trailed the man who went off on his orders. Her escort even managed a smirk at the scenario.
"Well you look like you could use a break miss lady. Tea sounds fine.. Want me to take one of the little princesses off your hands? I don't mind."
Of course she didn't mind, she loved kids! And maybe just maybe she wanted to feel the sensation of holding one again.
"We can share the babysitting while we chat."
She smiled.

"please, I carried them for nine months- I dont deserve to carry them both till they can walk responsibly..."
She said it sardonically, but there was a motherly glint that told anyone watching, that she truly didn't mind and would eventually miss it. Evelyn was currently at odds with a chess peace then Bastille swung her gently in the other direction, towards Eury. Evelyn seemed surprised by the sudden face, but she didn't cry. Instead she just kicked at the air and gripped for something more substantial then her mothers outstretched hands to hold her.
"Tea it is!"
[[ooc; even if they mentioned his name, she might not have made the connection so..we can 'discover' it here---we can make sure it doesnt come up in later in drinking thread]]

Eury snickered at Bastille's comment though duly noting that motherly look she happened to retain through it. After carrying a child within for nine months it certainly was a relief once they were out. But the carrying didn't end there. Quickly you would discover how much longer you just might be slugging those little ones around for. But it was something to be missed once they were old enough that picking them up started to actually embarrass them. Suddenly the little princess that was on Bastille's hip was outstretched in front of her. Immediately Eury gave the most motherly warm smile as she reached for the girl taking her from her mother's arms and letting her rest against left hip.
"Hello little princess!"
Eury spoke with that kind of enthusiasm that usually got babies to react.
"Aren't you adorable."
Eury gave the girl a little playful poke to her nose. Placing a few strains of her lightly wavy hair behind her right ear, she turned to her escort dismissing him politely.
"I believe I'll be alright from here.. I know the way back. Go off and I don't know enjoy the day or do whatever you need to."
He smiled and nodded heading off with a wave to the little girl in her arms. Eury's attention went back to Bastille.
"Shall we? By the way what's this little princess's name?"
Eury asked giving her a little gleeful bounce on her hip.

Bastille smiled, watching Eury. Seemed she wasn't the only mother in the room- at least from the gaze Eury gave, it gave Bastille a heavy reason to think as much. She was sorting papers real quick when the question was brought up and she smiled.
"Evelyn...and this on my back is Aryanna. Careful, they might be cute now but they know exactly how to cause every spit of trouble imaginable" Bastille just snickered. It was a trait they inherited from their father. Aryanna rustled a bit at her mothers voice but didn't wake up.
Evelyn on the other hand was suddenly very curious as to why this woman was tucking those cool strings on her head behind her ear. Evelyn went grabbing for her hair innocently, her big green eyes curious.

[OOC: I forgot how old are the girls again? ] "Pretty names."She chuckled giving Evelyn a little bounce again. When Eury ran into Maddie, Oleysa's adopted girl, momentarily she saw Lana her youngest. Twin to Spike. Now holding Evelyn, deep down it was painful because it reminded her of the fact that when she went missing she was pregnant then she turned up and she wasn't. Leon tried to present the hope that 'he' was still out there. But if he was then someone had him and that was killing her. She actually found a way to block it out for just a bit but it was coming back to the front of her mind almost in full force. She wasn't uncaring. No she loved her children more than anything. She was in a world of self doubt that no one was privileged to know about. Leon also had got into her mind that for the sake of her and their children she shouldn't run off until it was discovered if everything was alright with her. But yet he had disappeared since. There was anger brewing inside her as well, hence why she started running far too many times in a day. Tried so hard to keep herself busy. But she really needed to stop running into people with their children. She wouldn't let it show or even begin to surface as she addressed Bastille's notation of them being trouble. "Oh they usually do and the older they get the more mischievous they will be, trust me."Eury looked down just in time to catch Evelyn grabbing a few locs of her hair. She was all too familiar with this so she didn't mind one bit. Playfully with big eyes she would shake a little of light curls to tickle the girl and let her grab before again giving her nose a poke. "Beep."She laughed a bit before looking back at Bastille. "So voice of the earth dragon huh? That would make you the second I've met with such a title."The first being Oleysa. "Maybe you can tell me what that entails. I have my thoughts considering it seems a bit obvious but it couldn't hurt to have a more concrete notion.. Not to mention what are you doing here? But let's go get that tea!"Bastille of course already knew that Eury had been gone. Presumed dead for two years. So her not knowing certain things shouldn't come as a surprise.

Bastille just sighed in a mello dramatic way. "And thus my hopes are slain." She motioned for the others to finish up and she walked out of the room with a stack of papers in her arms. She of course, turned to Eury to motion for her to follow.
The blonde haired girl would lead the other dragon mother to the mess hall, taking a circle table at the corner and sending a cold and chilly look to one subordinate who rushed off to grab Bastilles tea- she'd made sure most of the guards here knew her antiseptic of choice- Earl Grey. At least that part of today's visit was predictable.
She would set down her papers and untie Aryanna gently from her back, cradling her in her arms and giving a very small and quick smile before looking up to Eury.
"To be honest I have no idea what it entails. Oleysa could give you a better description...I only did it so these idiots would listen to me, and I'd get the right to beat their face in if I ever found my husband in that state ever again. You think the soldiers would actually, you know, protect and fight along side their leader....So I fought some chick, got the title, and now I have the right to boss them around, and teach them how to do their jobs properly.
I'm sure you've heard, but I'm not exactly a fan of the dragons, I'm only here now because it seems all the men have up and left, and so unfortunately the Women have to step in and do the work for them...Before I would have rejoiced at their obvious decline, but not in this time of war. Seem I have to suck up my distaste and do the work that is necessary for us to survive."
She paused a bit.
"I think being the voice literally means you are an agent of them, another body through which they speak...kinda like christ to god but honestly, thats a huge compliment coming from me and I hardly feel that the situation is bad enough for me to feel obligated to boost anyone's ego higher than it already is...."

With a sly smile Eury shook her head and followed after, giving Evelyn another bounce to readjust her on her hip even if she still had her hair. Following along till they reached the mess hall, Eury's eyes glanced around for a moment taking in the area. Photographic memory tended to help in a great many situations. She sat across from Bastille again shifting the little tike now to sit more on her lap as she listened intentively taking in each word. Nonchalantly words flowed out.
"Meh yeah it's what I pretty much assumed."
Taking that was said there was a few notation that certainly stuck out to Eury. She mentioned her husband, about finding him in a particular state ever again. The fact that she took up the role to give reason to step in and kick their ass if she did. The mention of soldiers not quite protecting their leader. Everything swirled in Eury's mind going back to the beginning where she was addressed as the Voice of the Earth Dragon. Eury was always a thinker. Paying attention to the slightest details. It made her a good tactician and even strategist. Taken all into account the pieces of the puzzle started to formulate but it never hurt to confirm the idea. What was her idea? That the Earth Dragon, whomever he was, was her husband. She couldn't see how she could truly be wrong with all the clues that seemed to add up to that deduction. With a smirk to Bastille.
"Indeed the soldier made that distain apparent.. Doing what we need to survive certainly doesn't always entail we're going to like it. I suppose one can think of situations like that as a lesser of two evils."
She paused keeping her speak as she spoke with a bit of amusement.
"It's only natural that the women have to step up... It never fails now does it. Besides men go to battle, women wage war. So we're more ideal for it don't you think?"
Another short pause.
"Just a little curious based on what you said about your husband, leadership, and well being the voice of the earth dragon. I'm assuming he is your husband no?"
If Eury hadn't gone missing she would know these things but alas she had to play Sherlock Holmes most of the time with everything.

Bastille just nodded along in a sagely manner before pausing at the last question. Then she blinked and tilted her head.
"Oh right, I forgot you were MIA....yes Mathew Amtrum, the Earth Dragon is my husband." s She showed off her ear cuff and the ring around her finger, both being in the shape of a dragon. Bastille shrugged lightly.
"He has an obsession with the mythical creature I can tell yah- but after getting a real live Lion for my wedding present I really shouldn't complain! We call the lion Gawain...I keep him at my temple because of the girls, but he's adorable. Still working on getting him used to be being closer than three yards away...but we'll see if I ever figure that one out..."

[OOC: I feel like an idiot.. I REALLY thought it was on you. Apparently my post never went through when I thought it did. A THOUSAND apologies!]
~Matthew Amtrum? Really now.. Well that's interesting..~
Eury smirked listening to Bastille talk. It wasn't hard to tell that the woman was certainly an interesting one. She heard the bit of the lion and as a mother herself couldn't say she actually approved, but alas to each its own yes? Besides it wasn't hard for Eury to tell there was no telling this woman others, so instead she just shook her head amusingly. She looked back down to Evelyn giving a little bounce to the girl that probably still held her hair, then looked back to her mother.
"Gawain is a good name..Known as the Maiden's Knight and defender of woman..Certainly a good choice with having a lion as a pet."
Yup ball of random information she was.
"But yea.. MIA is an understatement indeed...So Matthew settled down. He's the Earth Dragon, you're the Voice.. And mother of dragons to say the least..Guess we got something in common there.."
As Eury could be considered a mother of dragons herself.
"For what happened, things seem certainly silent.."

Bastille ignored the last bit in favor of something more amusing to her.
"so you know Arthurian Lore and some Game of Thrones.....this could grow to be a splendid friendship indeed" Bastille smirked boldly.

Eury duly noted the dismissal of her stating how silent it was for something a obviously more intriguing the woman before her. Bastille's bold smirk was matched with one from Eury. Seemingly she found another who potentially shared a passion for such things.
"Heh.. I may know some things."
She said musingly.
~Heh, quiet little ones they were..But the silent ones are the ones who needed to most watching. They were always the most mischievous.~
Eury thought referring to the two little girls.

Bastille just shrugged. "I know too much, spent a week holed up in the Arthurian Library in Wales when trying to hide from potential enemies back before it got blown up. Ah how sad this world is to loose such masterpieces as the romances of Chretien de Troyes...- even if he is a frenchman" She said smugly smiling, looking down at her sleeping girl.
"It figures I know them by heart..ah yes about it being quiet...I can't really explain that either"
