McPherson Block.
A literal no mans land on the eastern side of Anaheim. A Chunk of earth bombed to hell and back, making it look like London during World war 2.
Marcus' Playground.
A Thundering echo could be heard there occasionally. Quite often these days actually as the man practiced his Qi in relative safety. The Block was deserted. Noone was to take up residence in McPherson's Block and therefor, noone could get caught by an explosive blast or a shadowy bolt.
There wasn't too many people in the world he would dare practice his Qi with. It was much too dangerous for him to go all out with it because of the sheer destructive force involved. But he knew of a select few who were as tough as battleships he could use as Training dummies.
And that was why he was calling down the Storm today. With concussive claps of his hands, Marcus fired off a simple Morse code Message using his Qi to One David Blaze. A written message couldn't find him. But mabey one carried by the wind?

David spoke from behind Marcus, hands in pockets. He had seen the mad dog from high in the sky, his thunderclaps having awoken him with a rather loud snort not ten minutes ago. Asleep on top of the building, he sat up, quite disoriented, using his pinky to clean out his left ear and shaking his head. He barely opened his mouth to ask "The fuck!?" Before his thoughts were interrupted by a other snap against his ears. So, after cajoling the signal from the claps and flying a ways off to come in behind the man.
"Ow."
And that was all he said.
He kept his eyebrows up, and should Marcus stop and turn around, David would look around. Not a bad place...what did Marcus need though? Admittedly, David hadn't seen the man since...jeez...too long. Way too long. He was glad to step back onto the same block as this guy again. The fellow had a way of stripping the fat, nutting up and showing his desire to stick a boot in your ass as simply as possible.
David liked him a bit. Might even call him a friend, if he had any left.

"Mr. Blaze! Long time no see!"
Quite true. Last time Marcus saw the Storm Dragon was from an interesting vantage point atop of the man's head which kick started a massive Brawl between members of the various factions. He also remembered getting punted through a wall. That was kind of fun.
"Hey, I know we don't really know each other too well enough to normally allow me to feel comfortable asking you for a favor, but...." The man scratched the back of his head and fidgeted for a moment. he had shared an adventure or two with the man yeah, but other than that his dealings with David were slim to nil, which really did make asking for assistance alittle uncomfortable despite Marcus' hunch that the man would say yes. "I'm gonna have to ask for a favor of you. I need someone to test My Qi on you see."
That was the other Reason he was apprehensive about asking this of him. Marcus' Qi was More than alittle intense. The man simply did not trust Sparring With anyone in the Crows without causing some SERIOUS injury. Even the thought of going one on one with someone as Formidable as Delilah made him squirm.
But someone as nigh invulnerable as one of the Big three? Marcus had seen first hand how much punishment David could take. And considering he couldn't find hide nor hair of Mathew and Leon, the man was a logical choice!
"Problem is I'm really uncomfortable using it against anyone other than someone who can take a nuke to the chest and keep going. Y'see it's hard to pull punches when your fists are RPG's. I figure if I fought a Battletank such as yourself.....well lets just say out of everyone in the city I have the LEAST chance of Accidentally killing you."

David stared for several moments, blinking once or twice. The man wanted to beat on him a bit? Not that David really had a problem with it- the guy was fun in a basket to fight. But this Qi, if as dangerous as Marcus was indicating, could cause him to hurt preeeeetty badly. He would scratch the back of his head.
"Okay."
He would lower the hand and bring up his other, lazily gesturing Marcus forward
"Show me then."
Davids skin, though Marcus probably couldn't see it, was covered in a thin armor of air, which was a solid deterrent against Qi's. Still, while it wasn't likely his Qi would puncture skin...it would still hurt like a bitch. And though he didn't know Marcus too well, he supposed he could try and pick up the verbage a bit. He spoke less and less since...well, since....He blinked and turned his thought back to the Wolf, waiting.

Well, here it was. The moment of truth. Despite the Dragons acceptance, Marcus still found himself apprehensive. Taking a deep breath, he shifted to a fighting stance. "Alright....here we go." His concern was plastered all over his face. David was a good collegue. They both shared a passion for sweet rides and getting their hands dirty
Slowly he built up his Qi into his fist, feeling the stinging burn of the volatile energy collect, causing fissures of light to spiderweb around his hand, emitting a faint glow. "First strike as close to half strength as I can."
One last silent prayer for Davids safety later, Marcus would brace his feet and suddenly strike with a standard Jab which would ignite with a boom like a hollywood grenade going off.
(Ooc) the way his Qi works is first he does physical damage, THEN Qi damage with each explosive strike. The two damage types do NOT stack.
Also the Qi was struck with a power of Charisma 25-35 (ooc)

David watched Marcus come forward, watched the punch be thrown- the man was worried for him. David was actually touched that the man was scared of the damage it would do to him. Davids contacts, however, had analyzed Marcus' total power, and his ability, while probably beyond strong, wasn't likely to-
The punch struck his chest like a wall- first reaction was a small cock to his eyebrow, like he had been expecting munch more. But within a fraction of a second the shirt under Marcus' fist was shredded, an explosion blasting across Davids chest, creating a small bit of smoke and leaving the Qi user in the dark. Smoke sort of hovered around them for a second- but when it cleared, David still stood there, the same look on his face, the skin under Marcus' fist taut, only slightly pink from the blast. David was staring down into Marcus' eyes almost blankly.
"More power."
Once Marcus' fist was withdrawn, a sort of smoke would rise over where his knuckles were, as air began to fuse back into the armor around his body. His words were meant to let Marcus know- you can hit me with all you got.

The relief on Marcus' face was absolutely palpable. So it would appeare his Qi DID have variable strength. The difficulty now would be drilling hard enough to be able to adjust on the fly. At least now he knew he had some way of not killing everyone around him. Limiting the damage he was capable of doing.
He could pull his punches! Shame about Mr. Blazes shirt though.
Now was the TRUE test though. Going at full power. Nodding his head, Marcus took stance and concentrated, his Qi collecting in his guts like piss in a bladder before being redirected to his fist, once again creating fissures of light to crack over his fist, now intensely bright as they widenend until covering his entire fist in a blinding glow.
For a moment he would pause to give David enough time before striking.
The detonation this time would shake the earth and shatter the ground, creating an impact crater below them in a 15 foot radius around them as chunks of debris flew away from them.
A full force strike kaboom that could be heart all over Anaheim.

Davids face didn't change as the lights under Marcus' fist brightened. Didn't move when the earth shook just a little. His eyes were the same hollow, patient gaze he'd kept the whole time. His own strength was terrible, he knew. But he supposed that's why people looked to them. Why people saw them as egotistical, powerful and inhuman.
It was why Marcus called him after all.
The ground tore up around them with a veritable volcano of power as the blow struck him again, David grunted just a little as smoke and dust and earth tore around them, impacting a fifteen foot crater and sending a lance of noise into the sky. As Marcus would probably back away, the dust would seem to cling to everything, a tower of smoke billowing over the area. As it cleared, David would be rising from a knee. The area of his chest that Marcus struck, the same area as before, was now a slight, light purple. Bruising. The skin further out was a light pink, but otherwise David's grin showed his pleasure.
"Ouch."
He would reach up and tear off the shirt, which was in tatters, and crack his neck.
"Now show me how it works in battle."
David didn't hold back or wait for Marcus to question, he just burst forward, aiming a harsh right cross for the mans cheek with the hopes of sending the mad dog into the earth.
