It was early evening. So much had happened. Kyrie sighed as she looked up. Her next "day off" she would perhaps seek Lucien out. The ponderous thought crossed her mind yet again. Did he know? Today had been, despite being one of the precious few days off she had, she had gone to visit Mathew. And then she had pushed back out, back to scouting and harvesting instead of resting. The blonde paused in the evening light, looking at the house.
Her house.
It still astounded her. David had fixed it up, let her move in. It was purely hers. It still felt too large, especially for one person. The blonde took it in with silence. Her house. It would be her home, soon enough. A few weeks later and she still couldn't quite take it in that it was hers. It was just as quiet as Mathew's house. Just as roomy, though it still needed some work. The shingles were repaired, some spots on the outside of the house were still a bit rough...but she didn't care.
She paced forwards, moving up to the house. To the porch.
Her gaze fell on the swing. Not rickety, but repaired.
It hadn't been what she expected when he said he found a place. She had been expecting an apartment. Something smaller. It was too large for one person. She didn't feel uneasy, but just a little guilty. And within the next week or two, she would very likely open the home to a couple. Or a family of three. There were two extra rooms upstairs. And the basement could easily pass for another bedroom if necessary.
The blonde slipped forwards. Instead of going inside, she sat on the swing and leaned back into the corner. One foot was brought up to rest on the bench as she lounged for a little while. Blue eyes closed to the world that was beginning to be washed in a gold glow. Her other foot gently pushed the swing as her thoughts turned circles in her mind.
