Standing bowed over the sink, his hands continuing to tightly grip the edges of the sink as water flowed from the faucet, he had deactivated his Qi for briefly, and he was left in, for the first time in a long time, a world of black while awake. Even though he used his Qi ability to help him "see," he had continually trained his other senses to make up for his sight that he had been robbed of, and despite the water running full blast from the faucet, he still managed to catch the faint sound of glass shattering.
Bolting from the bathroom immediately after, hastily twisting the faucet off beforehand, he didn't need his Qi ability to help him navigate through the hallway, having memorized the layout, and reaching the staircase in no time flat, would dash up the stairs, taking the flight of stairs two steps at a time. At the top of the staircase, he just barely caught the faint sound of a small relieved sigh, and following the direction of the sound, would rush into Eurydice's room.
With his Qi still deactivated, he would be unable to take in the state of the room, and it probably was for the best he couldn't.
"Eurydice...!"
If she looked up, she would see him standing in front of him, his pupil-less gray eyes "looking" at her with concern... and fear. Fear that something had happened to her. Very rarely did he ever show any fear he felt in any situation. Stepping right up to her, he would wrap his arms around her, pulling her to him.
"... What happened?"

.::She heard her name being called yet it came in so muffled as she was a bag of nerves in her own thoughts. Worried on so many levels yet trying to calm herself before he actually entered the room. She didn't manage to fully release it all as the imagery had hit her hard. Caleb was one of the last people she ever wanted to see. Physically or mentally. His existence was something she had rather have ignored, but there was no ignoring it. There was no denying it. He existed in her life though she hadn't seen him in years, why now the sudden image was what bugged her so much.
Suddenly Kazuya was in her room. She didn't need to look up to him to know there was a fear surrounding him. She felt it easily emulating off of him. Her body was pulled into his as he embraced her which was well needed. Feeling the warmth he gave off she tried to use that as a comforting tool to ease herself. She didn't want to alarm him or be forced to explain so she didn't stay in the hug for too long at all. Though the seconds seemed like minutes they were still indeed seconds as she gently pushed off though still didn't look up to him::.
"It's nothing..I just stupidly misjudged where the dresser was and let go and the glass shattered.. Hey watch your feet I don't want you cutting yourself."
.::She said as she leaned down between them and started picking up the pieces of glass that was near. He should've felt some water at his feet as she tried to pick the glass while trying to not be nervous at all. Even though normally she was able to play things off easily Caleb was always an unnerving factor for her and she wasn't doing a good job and pretending it was just nothing. Something happened that was for certain::.

Feeling Eurydice gently push off him, the hug lasting only a few seconds, though she still did not look up at him, Kazuya would "look" down at her, concern still etched on his face. Watching her bend down and pick the pieces of broken glass, the water felt beneath his feet evaporating slightly from the passive effect of his Qi.
As she continued to pick the pieces up, she would find Kazuya crouched down beside her, helping to pick up the pieces that remained. It was clear he didn't buy her story, but he was never one to push someone to tell him what really happened. With pieces of shattered glass in his hand, he would curl his fingers up and step back a bit from her, putting a bit of distance between the two of them, feeling slash marks in the floor, which caused him to frown slightly, but would stay silent and engulf his hand in fire, the heat incredibly high.
When he opened his hand back up again, the glass pieces were now one single piece, which he would then melt down again and curl his hand up slightly again while lifting his other hand up. Opening his hand once more, he would lower his other arm, as he had formed the single piece of glass into the shape of a small phoenix, which he would place on top of her dresser, which was slanted for some reason.
"... I seriously doubt it was a case of misjudgement. But it's clear something happened, whether you want to tell me or not, is your choice. But if you every want to tell me, I'll be here when you do."

~Why? Why did I suddenly see him? Him. Now. It just doesn't make sense.~
.::A lot of things just didn't make sense to her lately. Some things clicked and yet others didn't. Seeing Caleb in her home was one of those things that she just couldn't wrap her mind around an answer. That was saying a lot considering the kind of woman Eury was. She was a thinker. Sharp. Witty. Smart. Things rarely got past her and there wasn't much that she could've find some kind of answer to sooner or later. Or maybe at least give it some possible paths until a definitive answer was found. Seeing him she tried so many ways to understand just why she saw him. Why did he suddenly plague her thoughts? When Caleb appeared it was never anything good. He brought trouble and death with his every move. Maybe she saw him as a declaration to what she had done. That she was going to pay for this one way or another. That he was going to pop up and try to hurt those close to her and Kazuya had started to become one of those people. Then there was Oleysa and little Maddie. And of course Leon and her son, Spike. There was always too many people for Caleb to choose from to use to hurt her.
Her mind ran rampede. So much that she hadn't even realize that she had stopped picking up the shards of glass. That she had just been kneeling there, staring down at the clear liquid on her hardwood floor. It seeped into a slash mark that was there. Kazuya had picked up the majority of the broken glass instead. As he stepped away from her she still didn't notice a thing not even the heat that he generated to do whatever he was doing, even though it would've been a little mild from her distance but still. She was truly out of it until his voice pulled her back into reality. Blinkingly she looked up to him from her position on the floor. He was right. More than right as she was clearly transparent than she'd like to be. Her acting was waivering more than she knew. She looked down at her hand that only held about a few pieces of glasses and carefully curled her fist around them and stood up. She didn't even bother trying to smile it off but she did try to wave it off by stating that something did happen, but not the whole truth of what it was::.
"I thought I saw something it made me jump and I dropped the glass ok? Maybe I didn't want to tell you I got spooked so easily."
.::And Eury wasn't a woman that seemed like she would get spooked so easily like that. But maybe she did. It was the most logical answer to his statement and this time she played that off well. Giving the vibe that maybe she was trying to play the tough girl role and not show off a weakness. That was something he should've been getting from her from a few key moments. Eury didn't like to show weakness in anything. She sighed shaking her head and turning towards the dresser with the broken up mirror, not noticing the little glass figure yet::.
"I know it's stupid. I - What's this?"
.::She finally saw the glass figurine and took it in her hand after placing the shards of glass she picked up on the slanted dresser. Good thing it was on a part that it didn't really slide off of. She examined it, twisting it in her hand to see its different angles. It still held some heat to it but surprisingly was cooler than it probably should've been::.
"Where did this come fr- Wait, did you do this?"
.::She turned to face Kazuya holding the little glass Phoenix in the palm of her right hand::.

"You, easily spooked? Right... And I'm Amaterasu's descendant, notice the family resemblance?"
Kazuya would retort, mildly sarcastic, his arms casually folded across his chest. As logical as her answer was, a part of him still doubted it was really the case, and for good reason.
"Trying not to show fear or weakness in front of those close to you is one thing, but to someone who, for all intents and purposes, is an acquaintance, is another. You're tougher than that Eurydice, and it's stupid because I doubt very many things would spook you in this world."
Although he couldn't see that she had picked up the glass figurine he had left on the dresser, he just knew she had it in her hand and was probably examining it. Giving no immediate verbal response to both her questions, just simply smiling slightly, he would "look" at her as best as he could without his Qi to aid him.
"Yes, I made it, using my Qi, from the shards of glass that was previously your glass cup. I'd tell you what it is, but you've probably already figured it out."
Continuing to keep a bit of distance between the two of them, Kazuya would tilt his head slightly to the side and up, not knowing if he was looking at her or at some random spot in the room.
"No matter what may happen in the future, like the legend of the Phoenix, I know you will rise up again and again. No one can break your indomitable spirit, and the spark of fire within you, will never go out. That is what I see you as, a Phoenix that will always come back... to me..."

.::The guy had a way with words and seemed to have no shame in telling almost telling her off. He didn't always pull his punches and he told hard truths. There were many ways Eury could and would've reacted to each thing but after everything she opted for taking a more calmer direction. A less aggressive one. She was the one that opened that door to him. She did push him the day before to a breaking point seemingly wanting him to just not be so accepting of everything. The can of worms she opened. Her eyes fell on him for a bit with an unamused expression comically falling over her at his Amaterasu remark::.
~Cute.~
.::After his comment that seemed like a small insult at least towards her. Calling her stupid in some way though she knew he wasn't truly saying so. It caused the expression to change into a small frown. He wasn't wrong in saying not much spooked her if anything, but he also didn't know her well enough to know what fears she had if any. And Eury did have her share of secret fears. But again she'd let it pass as she glanced back down at the glass figurine in her hand. Can't say it was the most perfect but the imperfects were so small they would only be noticeable if one was starring extremely hard at every inch of it. For some reason her mind wandered off a bit as he spoke. He labeled her a Phoenix and he wasn't the first. Little did he know her actual last name was Phoenix. Not the maiden name she donned as Stone, that came from Kilik.
Not even Leon knew that. Eury hadn't truly accepted the notion the first time nor had she really made the connection to her life. So many times had she been through the fire and walked out the other side. So many times death never truly claimed her for himself. As for that fire within she couldn't say with certainty that it didn't wane from time to time for it did, but nevertheless if never burned completely out. She bent a lot in life but it could be said she hadn't really broke. There might be someone that would disagree but if Eury had actually broke she would cease to exist. She wouldn't keep pressing forward with defiance. Her eyes looked back up to him missing something he said seemingly under his breath::.
"You praise me too much ya know? You're should stop spoiling me, you might cause me to have an ego."
.::She didn't laugh loudly only lightly chuckled::.
"But thank you for this and your words. But I did get a little spook believe me or not, I'm not hundred percent without some things that would make me jump if I was taken off guard ya know. Umm... my room is an utter mess sooooo how about you just mosey on back downstairs I'll meet you."
.::He was standing in there for far too long that no doubt he might've felt the cuts in the wooden floor under his feet. She didn't really want to have to explain especially not after what she believed she saw. That run would really take her mind off it. Running always did that. But if he inquired she might oblige later though::.

"... You sound just like my pseudo-little sister. I always spoiled her with words too, something she knew and accepted graciously enough. ... But you are most welcome. I don't doubt your words, and it would be most unwise to argue otherwise, so I shall simply take my leave as you requested."
Bowing to Eurydice like he was her butler, though he had indeed felt the cuts in the wood beneath his feet, he would not ask, and would turn and make his way out of the room, carefully navigating his way back downstairs. Up until she had disappeared, he had spoiled her with his indulging words, a very bad habit of his, and he knew it, but since he never once heard any complaints about it from her, he had continued to do as he pleased. She had no shame whatsoever, but that was why he was her older brother, despite being younger.
He had always kept her in check, making sure she had never strayed off the beaten path, but as her whereabouts were now unknown to him, he could not no longer watch over her like a hawk. Once downstairs, he would return to the guest room to grab his boots, the only pair of footwear he had, since he had been in full armor for the ceremony announcing Lucien DeChain as the new Lightning Dragon, something he would and could not accept, because Leon was the only Lightning Dragon to him. Surprisingly though, his boots were incredibly comfortable, yet durable enough to run in.
Once Eurydice came downstairs, she would find Kazuya sitting in one of the living room chairs, his back facing her. Today was a training day for his remaining senses, to heighten them to compensate for his sight being taken away, which meant, he would not use his Qi for the entire training session.
