With the lamp posts as the only illumination in the area, Zade had to resort to squinting his eyes just to see in the dark areas. He had to wonder, though, what the hell he was doing in a park at night? Maybe cause Aurora wasn't home yet for a reason, and cause he had nothing to do. Walking on the concrete pavement that divided the City Park into mulitple patches of nature, he tried to find his way out of this mini-maze. Well, it wasn't at easy at all. After all, this was his first time in the Park, and it was night. He was alone, his eyes unable to make out any signs of life. True, he could see the buildings, but the City Park was so big that he could only see the roof tops. He turned at another curb, then found himself looking at a bench under a lamp post. Now, why did that look familiar? Oh, yes! He was here before.
Zade sighed, his jacket letting out soft shuffling noise as he walked forward. He was wearing his favourite white-blue shirt inside with a zipped winter jacket on the outside. He was wearing blue jeans that seemed to be too big for him. And as always, he wore his black sports shoes with the socks hidden under the jeans. He looked at the bench, then turned on his heels as he faced away from the bench. He then bent his knees as he lowered himself into a sitting position. Pulling his gloved hands out from his pocket, he crossed it over his chest as he leaned his head back. He looked up at the night sky, dotted with silverish stars.
"Great. I'm lost in the park. Could this get any worse?"

"Fucking charm.."
The dark haired freshmen girl cursed under her breath as she padded down one of the multiple paths that intersected this park. She'd been here earlier, volunteering at the children's outting day at the day care center down the street from her house, and when she'd gotten, she'd found that one of her charms from her bracelet had gone missing. So, after the sun had already begun to set, Chihiro found herself retracing her steps in the labrynth that served as a park, a flashlight in her hand, the small circle of likght bouncing up and down on the stone path with each of her steps. She'd left her miniskirt for a pair of comfortable fitting low rise embellished jeans, and wore a dark gray zipper hoodie, half zipped, over a green tank top with lace and sequin embellishments.
Dark eyes blinked, she could see fairly well in the dark, as she sought refuge at the beach almost every night. Blink, blink... the girl raised her gaze from the path for the shortest of moments, catching sight of another figure sitting at a bench beneath a streetlight. He didn't seem too happy. Chihiro had half the mind to just keep going, she had no business with him, and with each moment that passed, the darker it got. So, against better judgement, she approached the boy, shining her light at his feet.
"Need something?"
She asked, but in the 'do you need help?' sort of way, not in an implyingly inappropriate way.

Zade's eyes opened the moment he heard footsteps coming towards him and he sat up, his head turned slightly towards the direction of his new companion. He uncrossed his arms, placing his hands onto the bench. He looked up with squinted eyes, trying to make do with the sudden brightness. Well, he was looking at the flashlight. You can't blame him. Anyway, he heard a voice. A voice that belonged to a girl, or a guy with a really gayish voice and a broken Adam's apple. Meh, enough of that. Time to think of a reply. Under the lamp post, Zade could finally see her face clearly. Well, she was decently pretty, Zade had to admit.
"A way out? You?"
Zade leaned forward, pulling his back away from the bench's back, looking into her eyes. What was she doing here anyway? It kinda surprised him. After all, it was pretty dangerous for pretty girls like the one that stood in front of him to be alone in the park at a night like this. One could get raped. Zade then realised something... Could he get raped too? Who knows? Remembering that footage of Hard Gay he had watched in YouTube, he had been rather... paranoid of large muscular guys. Zade chuckled in his head, but realised that he was once more falling into his state of random thoughts. Time to focus on the pretty girl once more. No, not focus visually. I meant concentrate.

The girl repressed a snort of laughter. A way out? He was lost? That was pretty rich..well, maybe she shouldn't be too harsh, maybe he was new here. She hadn't seen him around before and she'd been living here her entire life..with an exception for the summer she spent in Maine with family. Anyway..
"You're lost?"
She couldn't help but voice the question aloud, as if she'd heard him wrong. She quirked a slender eyebrow, fixing him with her dark gaze, a curious glint in her eyes. Sure, he had asked of her purpose out here as well, but for now she was curious and not all too eager to change the subject.
((ooc: sorry this post pretty much sucks, but I'm trying to think of a way to move the conversation to sparring since you wanted to fight. Any ideas?))

Zade gritted his teeth and stood up, brushing the back of his winter jacket. He looked at the ground for a moment, then turned his head to look at her. Great, just great. First day of meeting this certain girl, and your already making a fool of yourself. Zade sighed.
"Yeah, yeah. Very funny. Yes, I'm lost. I'm kinda new here, if you haven't noticed. And you haven't told me why you are here."
Zade turned on his heels so that his body faced her. His hands went back into his pockets, and he slightly crumpled his body. Man, was the park always this cold at night? He looked at the girl. She didn't seem to be bothered much by it too. Zade, once more, found it very embarrassing. He let out a grunt, then replaced his hands from his pockets. He reached upwards, then pulled his winter jacket off. Holding it by the collar with his right hand, he slung it over his shoulder, his left hand going back into his pocket. A small friendly smile appeared on his face.
"You are aware that it's quite dangerous for a pretty like you to be alone in a lonely park at a time like this, right?"
He spoke, tilting his head slightly as he let out a smirk.

((ooc: Gotcha (: ))
Is that a...winter jacket? In September? In California? Where was this kid from, the center of the earth? The dark haired girl shurgged off the boy's question when he asked what she was doing out here. She crossed her arms over her chest, the circle of light from her flashlight bouncing to somewhere to her side. She gave him an inquisitive look.
"My business is my own."
She replied, once again with her eyebrow quirked. She almost snorted again as the boy whipped off his winter jacket and slung it over his shoulder all cool like. It was amusing, in that kind of sad sort of way. Her expression became even curiouser when he opened his mouth to speak again.
"You are aware that it's quite dangerous for a pretty like you to be alone in a lonely park at a time like this, right?"
This time she humored him with a grin, her dark eyes and pearly whites glinting. Puh-lease..
"I think I can handle myself quite well, believe it or not."

Zade smirked as an idea came to his mind. Well, she seems to be, like all the other students, a fighter. There was only one way to confirm that, though, and that was the all-American fighting spar. Yippee! Zade lowered his head slightly, his eyes still looking back at hers. A smile adorning his face, he replied slowly.
"Oh really?"
He let out a single chuckle, raising his head once more. This was certainly getting interesting. Slowly, he reached out to his side with his right hand and placed his winter jacket onto the bench. That hand then retracted and entered his pocket, similar to his left hand. Straightening his arms, he bounced twice on his feet as he waited for her reply.

Wow, this kid was too much. Just like that and he was ready to fight. Her. Just, out of no where. Oh well, at least she'll have the pleasure of kicking his ass. She removed her zipper hoodie and in a graceful arch, threw it onto the bench with his jacket. Moving her left foot back and her right foot forward, shoulder length apart, she cenetered her balance and shook out her arms, preparing to fight.
"Full contact? Or just a spar?"
She asked, because of course it made all the difference. In a spar, they were simply practicing, no hard blows or injuries...usually. With full contact, someone is usually bound to get hurt. Personally, she didn't really care to have a full contact fight this late in the evening, she wasn't exactly on top of her game, and in the event that she did get hurt, she didn't want to have to find her way home all broken and bruised.

Zade raised one eyebrow. That was an unexpected reaction, but a good one nonetheless. It would only make things easier. He removed his hands from his pockets, then took a few steps back, a grin adorning his face. He shifted his right foot back, then turning it so that the toes pointed to his right too. He raised both arms, bent at the elbows and his hands level with his shoulders. His fists were unclenched. The basic stance for a street fighter.
"Spar. But let's put in a twist, eh? If I win, you go out on a date with me."
He let out a chuckle, indicating that he was both being hilarious and serious at the same time. He started juggling his balance between both legs, bouncing slightly as he waited for the spar to officially start. Man, did he sound desperate. Bah, never mind that. He was bored anyway. His face suddenly turned stern as he watched his opponent closely, reading every move and anticipating any attacks.

"If I win, you go out on a date with me."
Ahh, and there falls yet another to the alluring charm of one Chihiro Amuri. She kind of felt bad for him, he was only a lost new kid afterall. But oh well, what's done is done, he named the stakes. The freshman nodded her head in agreement, removing a hairtie from her pocket and throwing her long raven hair up into a loose ponytail in a swift movement. Shifting a bit where she stood, dark eyes narrowed in concentration and she balled her hands into loose fists.
"You can have the first move, love."
She chided, winking one of her brilliant dark eyes at him. If he was so determioned to get a date with her, he would have to work at it.

Being the gentleman that Zade was, he had very limited places to attack. He couldn't hit her chest, her face and her behind. He surveyed her body for a while, finding a good place to throw a first strike at. It had to be somewhere in the center. After all, if he were to attack her legs, his speed would be deducted right before he would execute his attack, leaving him open. Zade's eyes then travelled back up. And there, he found it. The stomach. No, wait. It was too low. It would be easily blocked. Wait... Bingo. He found his target.
Zade then dashed forward, lowering his body to increase his speed. And then, when at a good distance, he jumped off with his left leg, then spun towards his right. As he spun in mid-air, he bent his knee and raised his leg so that his knee touched his torso. And then, he managed to make a complete 360 turn, his right leg would strike forward, towards her left shoulder. His arms stayed positioned over his stomach and chest, just in case she managed to play out a counter.

Chi had to admit she was partially impressed by his jump-in-the-air-and-spin thing, but she quickly put the thought aside as she realized it was probably a distraction tactic. And sure enough, he aimed a kick right at her shoulder. She rotated her torso to the left, moving her left shoulder back and her right forward so that he only knicked her shoulder. Coming around, she continued turning so that she was behind him once he landed and aimed a punch between his shoulder blades.

[OOC: Tis' ok. Fight posts are meant to be straight-forward.]
Zade gritted his teeth in frustration as he watched his first strike hit. Well, it wasn't really surprising, though. There was this unseen rule of combat that the first strike would never ever find its mark. Zade landed on the ground on his two feet, realising that his back was facing Chi. He tried to turn around and prepare for any counter attack, when he felt it. He staggered forward, taking two steps to prevent himself from falling. Quickly he turned around. No, not facing Chi, but facing the side. He was back in his stance, but he took two seconds to flex his shoulders, trying to soothen the ache near his shoulder blades.
And then, he hopped forward, his left leg behind as he took a right step forward. This was a good position. He pulled his left leg forward, bending it over his chest and then twisted his body to face his right by shifting his right foot, before throwing his left foot outwards once more, this time aiming for her stomach.

((ooc: alright, this is going to have to take place before my fight with travis even though it was posted slightly after because Chi just broke her arm in that thread...and here her arm is fine. o.o))
As the boy sent a kick aimed at her stomach, she tensed her stomach muscles and bent forward, pulling back a bit to absorb the blow. She countered by grabbing his foot with both hands and turning it so he would have to turn his body as well to keep from snapping it (which wasn't her intention, she's not that mean) so he would be facing the ground and pushing his foot away from her so he would stumble. A bit ineffective as far as an offensive move, but it did its purpose.
"So, what's...your name...anyway?"
She asked as they fought, breathing a bit heavy. She wasn't out of shape or winded yet, but she wasn't exactly dressed for fighting either, which made it slightly difficult. Her jeans were a little tight, as was the style today, and so she had to use a little more effort to get her legs to move the way she wanted to as the fabric resisted some. Oh well, it didn't hinder her that much to complain.

Zade watched as his foot was held hostage by his female opponent. As she twisted it, Zade felt a force pull on his leg and a scream on his head that went 'SPIN!'. Zade did as he was told and threw himself around, now facing the wall. He clenched his mouth shut, before reached forward with his hands. Still, it wasn;t enough to support his sudden weight. His hands buckled under his weight and he landed on the ground on his upperchest first, before his face. Ouch. That hurt. Zade turned slightly on the ground to look at her, trying to squirm his leg out of her grasp, his arms propped at his side, the palms still on the ground as they were bent at his elbows.
"Name? Call me Zade. What about yours?"
He spoke in between deep breathes. He gritted his teeth first, before lifted his body slightly as his other leg suddenly shot upwards, but not hitting anything. Though, when it started to come back down, it landed on her hands. Letting out a soft groan, he pushed both legs down, the thought of his legs hitting against the ground never coming into his head. He just wanted to get out of the grapple. This girl was actually better than he thought, being able to stand up even after that punch.
