"The body is being laid to rest. Cremated I believe. Except for his stripped clean skull which I will be keeping as a personal memento. We have a lot of history and I felt considering all he took from me I should take something back."
He returned his eyes to his paper offering Lucien a small shrug.

Lucien was totally okay with that answer. Cremation meant no body to revive. There was only one thing left to do.
"I see. Mathew, there is one last thing, if I could occupy another moment of your time.."
He looked up at the man, taking a long breath.
"The sacrifices that were made on the battlefield... They weren't poured out over selfish desires. We did what must be done for the good of mankind. And, you're not looking for pity so I won't give you any. Just... Know that you have my gratitude."
He would stand at attention, curling his right hand over his heart as he bowed over towards the man.
"Dryhg oui, pnudran. Vun ymm dryd oui luhdehia du tu."

"Hmmm?"
He looked back up as Lucien expressed that he had even more to say. The words were unexpected. Certainly not the kind of thing he would expect to hear from any of the Dragons, named or otherwise. It was always kind of an unspoken thing. The feeling of Brotherhood was real, Mathew didn't pledge lightly.
He rose his stone fist over his own heart and returned the bow from his seat. Not showing as much difference to Lucien as he was being shown by not standing. But Lucien hadn't earned all of the respect of his title yet either.
"E femm keja du dra mycd pnaydr. Fedr so Pnudranc yd so ceta un dra tykkan eh so pylg. E'mm keja ihdem E tea."

Lucien rose from the bow, smiling, and eyes slightly reddened.
"That's what we do, after all." He smiled to the man.
"Thank you for your time. I'll be on my way, now." He said, as he turned to approach the door.

Mathew just grunted and returned to what he was doing as Lucien left since apparently Lucien was done with him now.
As Lucien made his way back to the lobby he would find the white haired man standing exactly as he had left him, watching the door.

Lucien walked out, finding the white-haired man still standing in the same place. He had grown curious about the man, and talking with Mathew had given him a mood that was more likely to talk to people openly.
"That was quicker than I expected." He murmured into open air.

"He has not been in the mood to mince words."
Avenger said after a moment of silence. It wasn't said in a tone that invited more talking, nor was it dismissive. It was a simple statement of fact, no more or less important than the weather or what he had for breakfast.
His eyes continued shifting from the walls and door before focusing on Lucien for a brief moment. Waiting for him to either leave or continue speaking.

Lucien nodded sullenly. "Indeed."
Though it hadn't been expressly said, Lucien did in fact feel some remorse for Mathew. No matter what the cause, no matter the gain... Losing a limb, just like that, it was still a very traumatic experience, and Mathew must have been feeling some sort of stress over it, no matter how hard he tried to mask it. The long and the short of it was, he wasn't quite himself. Lucien wondered if he would ever be the old Mathew again. Maybe it was better that way...
"So, I didn't ever get your name... May I ask what it is?"

"Avenger."
He said when the Lightning Dragon asked his name. It wasn't his birth name, but it was who he was. What the Earth Dragon had promised him. To join his side and that he would have his vengeance for what was done to him. That Barker would be defeated. And thus far the Earth Dragon had kept his promise.
He was no longer the man he was before the bombings, whoever that may be. He was an incarnation of wreath and vengeance. He was the Wrath of the Earth Dragon.

Lucien nodded. This was not the first person who had chosen a different name than what had been given to them. A lot of people had felt the same, after the bombings. Lucien could only assume what kind of troubles this Avenger had faced, even after being experimented on.
"Very nice to meet you, Avenger. My name is Lucien." He replied, in his established manner. Lucien had a habit of only using his first name now, since the titles he used were so recognizable. It wasn't that he was trying to fool people, no, more that he wanted to find a level ground on which him and his acquaintance could speak. Couldn't do that if he was Lucien DeChain, The Lightning Dragon, Seeker of Crows, et cetera et cetera.

Avenger brought a fist to his heart and offered Lucien a small bow and nod of his head to indicate the same out of politeness sake. His eyes moving from Lucien once more to watch the door and shift back to the walls. His hand absently touching the handle at his side briefly before retreating.

Lucien turned to face the man, bowing in return. Once the man had taken his leave, Lucien would take his.
Making his way back to Lightning Tower, he would think about what had been said.
