I had this idea. A pretty crazy idea, and I wanted to swing it by you guys. I will be getting my hands on a piano/synth and midi controller pretty soon, and I want to start writing music again.
What I wanted to do is write songs based off of 259 threads. Now, this might be crazy, but I want your input. What would be a good thread to write a song about? What I'm looking for is not just a whole bunch of epic fight threads (yes I know there is a ton of super great fight threads but if every song was the same it would start to sound like a Linkin Park album), rather I'd like a variety of threads, ranging from the epic battles to the soft learning, to just all-around great threads that you feel would do well being told in a storytelling song format.
I'll be trying to write lyrics and piano, and then expand from there, to include possible additions of other parts so we can eventually collaborate and make something really special. You probably won't see any results for quite a while, as the whole process is going to take some time for me (Christmas Break is only so long). But, I'm pretty excited about this idea. Let's see if it works.
Let me know what thread you want to be put into song, and why. From all the songs recommended I'll probably end up making a short list, and I'll get around to the (semi) final list shortly after exams end.
