OOC: Stats are in effect, as this is a stat-based board, but can be used as more of "guidelines" rather than strict adherence. Those of you with monster stats (any stat over 60) are required to play your stats this way. Don't brutalize your opponent, or act like punches don't effect you. Loose Guidelines. Qi is deactivated. I'll be watching.
This thread will be decided by someone other myself or Greg, as we are actively participating in it. This thread will automatically be closed and the decision will be posted by the 15th of December.
IC:
A man stood in the ring, a mic in hand. You are in the back, prepping for your role in the ring.
You both are in nothing but shorts, and are barefoot. You stand on a circular mat, surrounded by Jello. Thats right, Jello. If your thrown off the mat, and you land in the Jello, you are out. Stay in the ring. The hard part is- people around the ring of jello are gonna start throwing it at you. This is gonna make holds difficult and footing tough, as shit will get slippery. So, be on your guard.
You hear the announcer start with your name...and whatever theme music you decide to have play as you walk out.
POST YOUR ENTRANCE, AND FIGHT.

{OOC: Theme Music} Lucien walked forward, into the ring. He was surprised to see the jello, especially in that large of quantity. He wasn't aware there was that much gelatin left in the world... Stepping into the ring, he would prepare himself... Or, at least, try not to think about the last time he fought David. His ribs still ached, having only recently healed. Lucien also knew, if he got so much as tapped in the nose, his wound would reopen and there would be lots of blood in that gelatin.

David wore a sleeveless muscle shirt with white shorts. The thin MMA gloves were on his hands as he flexed casually. On his left stood August, on his right, Youichi. Behind him were one or two more dragons, silent in the entrance hall, listening to the boom of the crowd, calling for blood. Then came the drums, with his chosen tune.He started out, walking into the mass of bodies, hands touching his arms and shoulders and cheering as his beat drummed around him. He started up the stairs to the ring, ignoring the jello. David had been in so many tournaments, this wasn't even the weirdest he had been in. He stepped into the ring, taking note of Lucien across from him. He gave a curt nod of respect, removing his shirt easily to reveal the corded muscle below. He stepped forward as the ref told them to go ahead and get busy, his music fading as he grinned. It was finally time to fight. He moved forward methodically, hands up in front of his face, palms loose and open facing outward as he got closer. He would, unless Lucien tried to strike first, attempt to throw a stuff right straight-punch for Lucien's chin and get this party started.

Lucien got ready to fight, ignoring the music and entourage. His eye was on David.
Getting into a tight stance, his guard up high and tight to his face, Lucien kept his body loose, balancing on the balls of his feet as he waited for the - There.
Lucien saw the straight coming, if only barely. David was fast, and strong, but there was something to be said about fighting the same opponent twice in one month. Lucien put his weight on his back leg as he feinted back, out of the range of the punch, but just barely. Unable to respond, he couldn't even catch the fist or strike David's arm as he retracted it deftly back to his guard. If all he could do was dodge, when he was fresh, this fight wouldn't last long...

Lucien deftly avoided his first punch- he couldn't say he was surprised. The first blow of any fight was usually pretty scripted. A testing punch or kick to cause an action or reaction that could force the fight earnestly. Lucien played into it, as David would have. After all, taking a punch from someone you know can hit harder than you wasn't the way to survive.
As his left snapped back, David would follow Lucien's movement, stepping forward to follow after him and throwing a right uppercut to combo with his straight punch. If it too missed or was blocked, he'd follow with a left hook, bringing his right fist back to guard his cheek and more importantly, his chin.
Boxing. Keep up that guard.

David's surge forward intrigued Lucien, it seemed the man was starting off aggressively. From that close, an uppercut was a solid move. Quick, hard to predict, and could easily end the fight right here.
Lucien, however, was not expecting the uppercut, and by the time he realized it was coming, it was too late to avoid. All he could do was clench his elbows together to protect the underside of his jaw, and take the rattling hit, glancing it off his forearms.
Before he could recover, he was slammed in the side of the face with a fierce hook. The force of it made him stumble back and to his left, catching himself on his back foot as he struggled to gain his composure, keeping his eyes on the Storm Dragon, who he expected would continue to surge.

As his fist struck home, David paused, working his right thumb into the palm of his left hand, watching Lucien. He could have pursued while the man was off balance- but he had no desire for a quick end to the fight. He always changed up his combat styles when fighting the same person, as he didn't want his moves to be graphed. He would drop both hands to his sides and stare at Lucien a moment, giving his head a chance to quit rattling, if it was.
"Come on then, Dragon. Bring the pain."
He's wait for Lucien to move forward this time, and once he started Davids hands would come back up into his guard. The crowd was thunderous, though some could clearly be heard shouting that he needed to get in there and put the man down. Others were cheering Lucien on, telling him to "KO the Storm". David liked this. Two men, on the mat, ready to-
David was struck in the side of the face by a rather large handful of Jello. He frowned, and wiped some of it off, not taking his eyes from Lucien. He had been told this might happen. He would adjust.

Lucien was surprised that the man didn't surge on. It was odd, but Lucien didn't have time to ponder it. The white noise of the crowd was tuned out, by this point there was no sense in even listening to the din. As Lucien surged in, the gelatinous glob was flung just past his face... Barely missing. If he hadn't moved, he would have been hit. Gross.
Lucien came in, making to unleash a flurry of three punches - left jab, right jab, left cross - while at the same time motioning to carefully place his foot on top of David's. No pressure, no stomp, just placing a foot on top of a foot. As always, once the punches retracted his guard was back and tight.

David breathed steady, watching Lucien come forward before bringing up his guard again. Luciens jabs struck his forearms, his cross moved outside his arms as David dipped to the side, striking his shoulder. He stepped forward before Luciens foot planted on his own.
It was time to show the Lightning Dragon that there wasnt honor on a battlefield.
Being that Lucien right foot stepped on his left, it squared the two of them up. So, David would whip up his other leg, aiming a shin-kick for Luciens balls. If it hit, and Luciens hands came down with the pain as David hoped his reaction would be, David would launch his hands out, aiming to clasp them behind Luciens neck and hold him steady, the Storm Dragon then throwing his forehead forward to try headbutt the man in the bridge of the nose.

The punches weren't hitting where he wanted, and that was okay with Lucien. They were just to keep the man busy, to keep him from doing anything like -
It was too late to try and dodge by the time Lucien saw the kick coming. If he had just kept his stance tight, if he hadn't extended himself to try to trap David's foot... He might have been better prepared for it. But, as it was, he was presently getting kicked in the balls.
The crowd's jeering and yelling turned to an almost simultaneous "ooooooohhhhhhhhhh" as the hit landed square into his gonads. Lucien's face twisted in anguish, and he paled. But, his guard did not drop, and he didn't double over. Instead, his legs simply buckled as he dropped his whole body, now in a kneeling position. Momentarily, he had to extend his guard outward to check the man's free leg, making sure he wasn't going to go for a double kick. It was just a moment he stayed there, thinking to himself Yousonofabitch...
Then, he shot up, using the explosive expansion of his legs to launch his fist up and into David's pelvis. Shooting straight up to follow through, he would aim an open palm strike for the underside of David's jaw, pushing him back and hoping to use the foot trap to knock him off balance.

OOC: only posting here because its time sensitive. Sicky.
With Lucien dropping to a knee, David would punch downward rather than go for a clinch- be intended to send the Dragon to the mat. However, his fist would likely hit the hard back/side of his head, as the man exploded forward, anger etched in his face. David was happy. You fight angry, it could cloud your vision. It narrowed your awareness. Just what he wanted. Still, their close proximity prevented him from giving a solid reaction, so the first punch he took directly to his pelvis, just above his own gonads, and earned a grunt of pain from him. The second blow, now that Davids full attention was on the assault against him, was unlikely to hit, as he would jerk his head to the left so the palm would likely scrape his jaw or shoulder.
Meanwhile, he would throw a short uppercut for Luc's throat. Not enough to cause permanent damage, but enough to cause him to choke and possibly get freaked out. If, as the young Blaze intended, Lucien would be forced back even half a step, David would jerk on the foot-trap hard, intending to throw the man completely off balance if he succeeded.

Noticing his hit glance off to the side of David's jaw, Lucien tried to retract the arm in time. Unfortunately, he had gotten himself in too close, and extended himself too much to be able to see David's tight uppercut in time. It connected square, snapping his head back and making him stumble backwards. He was already off balance, and hoping to not fall, when he felt his foot trap backfire.
Oh sh-
He was airborne for a second, before finding his orientation with the familiar presence of ground. It wasn't quite so solid as he was used to, though... Softer. And somewhat... Squishy?
A piece of gelatin hit him in the face, and he blinked. David's move had stunned him, his neck aching as he lay there, panting.

David rushed forward, intent to capitalize on the jello in Luciens face, only to have his right foot slip in the mess as well, sending him face first to the mat, his head bouncing off the canvas.
"Gah, fuck-!"
He would be sprawled right at the feet of Lucien, so he reached up to grab the mans ankle, and if he got it, would grunt as he pulled, intent to yank so hard on Luciens leg that the Lightning Dragon was fung clean from the ring, disqualifying him.

Winner: Lucien DeChain
David: Experience capitalized, and funtimes be had. Obviously the more aware of the eb and flow of battle, yet showed the mistakes of being human. A good solid fight, I wished would of continued more.
Lucien: A real feel of struggle, and following the flow of emotion and battle, along with realizing mistakes. The entertainment value alone gives you a winner, but in the opinion of my self your part of the fight was worth more.
End Result
Lucien: 10 points
David: 8 points.
You where given points on the amount of attacks thrown that where recognized by your opponents, and amount of hits taken that where not blocked or simply scratched.
