Old Gods

[Mr. Kaar]

Today Shion would be going to greet the one he would be guarding for until he was no longer needed. He wasn't that old physically, only about twenty four years old, but he was one of the oldest members of The Gods, having held four of the God names in his time. Until finally he no longer desired a name and was simply himself.

Green long hair, and two ram horns where all that was visible from the cloaked figure.

[Mathew Amtrum]

Mathew would find Shion when he left his house, stepping outside to go about his day and stopping in his tracks seeing someone waiting that he had not seen before. Just standing there.

"And you are?"

Cause he was obviously there for Mathew. Why else would someone wait outside his house. It's not like people didn't know what house was his. He was pretty sure it was on a tour guide map or something.

[Mr. Kaar]

"I'm Shion. Sent by reference of Hector... Hades to be your body guard."

Thats right, Shion don't give that many fucks for people's titles.

[Mathew Amtrum]

"I see. I was unaware that the council would be appointing one."

He gave the man a small respectful bow.

"Well if Hector believes you will be able to protect me then you must be very skilled. He has witnessed my own abilities first hand. So please, tell me about yourself so I may know who would be my guardian."

[Mr. Kaar]

Shion would nod and return the bow.

"When I first joined The Gods I was Fifteen. At the time I held the title of Aries, the Zodiac. Some time later I was too strong, and moved up to Minotaur. Gained even more power from there and became Ares. Until finally, I was strong enough to hold the title of Hades, before Hector became Hades."

[Mathew Amtrum]

"So you were in my former title. I wonder which God of War is the stronger one."

He mused with a small light hearted chuckle. It was actually kind of funny that Hades would send Ares and Hades to protect Ares. A gift from Hades.

[Mr. Kaar]

The man would nod.

"I am now just Shion. It would be an interesting test to see which of us is the stronger, but rumor puts you as my better."

[Mathew Amtrum]

"Perhaps, I've grown accustomed to being my own bodyguard. But perhaps you have other skills that would have prompted Hector to select you to watch my back?"

He inquired. Was it just Hades' sense of humor? He didn't think so. Hector seemed the type to act with a reason. Much like himself. There was a reason this man was selected.

[Mr. Kaar]

"I have unique gifts, even among the Gods. I can turn objects or people into Light beams."

He'd reach down and pick up a rock, dropping it, it would change into a flash of light and become a rock once more as it hit the ground shattering in a small dust cloud.

[Mathew Amtrum]

Mathew raised an eyebrow.

"Well that's pretty handy. Is it always so violent? Like can you use it to travel at light speed?"

Cause that might be a nice way to travel. Speed of light worked for him.

[Mr. Kaar]

Shion raised a brow at the question.

"Maybe? I've never triad non-violent solutions."

[Mathew Amtrum]

"Sometimes it's the most efficient solution to a problem."

But that was something that could be discussed later.

"What other skills and talents do you have? You used to be Hades? Are you skilled in dealing with the dead? Or harnessing Qi? I would be curious in exploring the nature of Qi and life and death."

[Mr. Kaar]

"I oversaw the prisoners The Gods would take, but I did have a lot more experience with Qi. I've been awakened to Qi since I was four."

[Mathew Amtrum]

"Really?"

That was really shocking. He couldn't recall anyone awakening that early in life. Mathew hadn't unlocked it until he was sixteen years of age. And it had taken a lot of work and self reflection to do so. Either something happened to this man as a small child that was horrible. Or his Qi was incredibly powerful and refined.

Or perhaps Mathew didn't understand Qi as much as he thought he did. He decided that some of his tasks could wait a while. He was curious about this.

"Well then you might have the most experience with Qi of anyone I've ever met. Perhaps Hector sent you to be more of a teacher than an actual guard?"

[Mr. Kaar]

"It's possible. Hector has been a much more manipulative and philosophical Hades than I was."

Shion would swirl his hand in the air grabbing some light from the air and eating it.
