Aryn would receive a note, whether by hand or under her door, that she was needed by the Storm Dragon at once. Aryn Valcoph said:
A long-haired redhead picks it up as it slips beneath the door, glances at it with some disinterest, before..."Aryn! Get dressed. You've been summoned!" Evalise slips up the stairs as she called out and slips the paper to the brunette's hands. She reads it, shrugs, and...
About twenty minutes later winds up where she needs to be. Eye candy time? Worked for her. She grinned to herself and would push open the doors to the War Room if that was where the Storm Dragon had called her.
David B. said:
David was indeed in the war room. Just him, alone. This wasn't a major undertaking, and didn't require the spectacle that Kiyr had gotten."Aryn- welcome. Please sit."
Aryn Valcoph said:
Aryn lifted a hand, sifting her hair over one shoulder as she moved to take a seat with her mesmerizing sway. Once she sat, she flipped a leg over her knee and let her foot rock back and forth. "What can I do for you~?"
Because she would never suggest anything at all. Nope. Neeeever.
David B. said:
He smiled"You did well at the battle. My men say you fought with a tenacity I didn't know you possessed. I like tenacity. And I like it when the strong saved lives. I wondered if you might be willing to leave your place of residence, leave the Tower- and come work for us here at the Core."
Aryn Valcoph said:
"Well, I don't live at the Tower, but I like my home. And my girls. We're really not far away, but I'm sure you know that." She leaned back in the chair, elbows resting against the arms of it. "What kind of work with the Core?"Aryn didn't enter into business negotiations blindly, after all. And the Dragons, in her eyes, were indeed a business.
David B. said:
He nodded."I need someone who is strong, and Loyal. Who has an investment in their future and who, obviously, is tenacious. I need them as an ambassador to the Gods. I picked you. The Elder Council approved. Your girls could move here, if you'd like, or closer to your new embassy in the Gods territory. There are plenty of single men and women with plenty of money who have...needs your girls could see to. There's a lot of good your girls could do."
Aryn Valcoph said:
Aryn tipped her head and considered. Closer to the God Territory would indeed mean more clients. And likely ones that were starving for some proper attention. "Onlyyy if someone helps us move. You don't think we hauled all out stuff from Huntington Park when we first came, did you~? And of course there's the issue of creating a new earthen dome that we can use for fire to create pizza and other food. Not to mention destroying the current one, but that's the easy part. What else do you have in mind? Just keeping everyone happy for good relations and keeping regular communication with the head Gods?"
David B. said:
David laughed."No, I have much bigger plans. But those will have to wait until I know you have accepted."
Aryn Valcoph said:
Aryn smirked. "Ohhh. Top secret, so on, so forth. Well. Why not. Things get boring if I get stuck in a routine too long."She shrugged.
David B. said:
He grinned."Good to hear. I'm promoting you to Dragon Commander. You'll have control over an entire Platoon of your own. Around fifty men- no small thing to laugh at. these men you can train, and gain their loyalty how you like. Make them your bitches too- for instance, help you move out your ladies and get them settled. These guys need to know you are in command. From there, we will be using you as a staging point, our voice, with the Gods as we go to war."
He stood.
"Now the fun begins- when we start to rip apart at the seams the lands Barkers men set up. Let me know if you have any questions."
Aryn Valcoph said:
Make them her bitches? Aryn's eyebrows shot up and she laughed. "As if I wouldn't have, otherwise~"She snickered to herself, completely amused. Oh, they'd be her bitches alright.
"Hahaha. Well. Questions if I have them. Seems straightforward enough to me."
She nearly couldn't wait to get her hands dirty, so to speak.
David B. said:
David would adjust his coat."You start tomorrow. See you then, Commander."
And with that, David would head out.
Aryn Valcoph said:
With no shame at all - and not a care in the world - Aryn's eyes trailed pointedly across David's body. And, she watched as he left with leaf-green eyes that glittered with impish mischief. 'Indeed~'
She would sit a while longer and snicker to herself at least once. After a few minutes, she got up and would leave as well.
